WWE RAW Results: September 3, 2018By Cassidy| September 4, 2018 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results After forging a new alliance with Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre to combat The Shield last week, RAW kicks off with Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, & Drew McIntyre making their way to the ring. Braun says that what they did last week was what he calls “justice” before saying that all Roman Reigns had to do was “take his beating and accept his fate”. Braun then says that Roman runs in a “pack” and his “brothers” had to come help him, saying that, without Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins, the Universal Championship would have been his. Strowman continues, saying that he had to go about things differently and he doesn’t care if the fans like it or not before saying that he is going to prove that this is his “yard”. Braun then says that, inside Hell in a Cell, where nobody can get in and nobody can get out, he is going to “dismantle” Reigns and take what is rightfully his, the Universal Championship. Drew McIntyre follows this up by saying that The Shield has had their time but now their time is “over” before declaring that they are the “new kings of the jungle” and they will feast on The Shield’s “bloody carcasses”. Dolph Ziggler then says that they are going to be the “most dominant force in WWE history” before saying that The Shield “started this” and they are going to “finish it”. This brings out The Shield as Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins enter through the crowd, ready for a fight. Acting RAW General Manager Baron Corbin then comes out the stage, signaling for several members of the RAW roster to intervene as the likes of The Revival, Jinder Mahal & Sunil Singh, Heath Slater & Rhyno, Chad Gable, and Mojo Rawley all come out to try and prevent the fight from happening. However, The Shield easily deal with the interlopers before Reigns, Ambrose, & Rollins surround the ring with Braun, Dolph, & Drew standing back-to-back, also ready to fight. Corbin then calls for more Superstars to come out as Finn Balor, Bobby Roode, Elias, Titus Worldwide, No Way Jose, and Tyler Breeze all rush out, only to be taken out by The Shield as well. The Shield then get into the ring as a brawl breaks out between The Shield and Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, & Drew McIntyre before Baron Corbin calls for even more re-enforcements as The B-Team, The Ascension, Mike Kanellis, Zack Ryder, and Bobby Lashley all rush the ring, joining the rest of the roster in trying to restore order. The two sides would repeatedly break free as the Superstars all but drag Braun, Dolph, & Drew to the back but The Shield would break through the line of defense to give chase to the new trio. Backstage, the local police would get involved as Columbus’ finest handcuff The Shield and put the three men in the back of a paddy wagon before being hauled off to jail! With Total Divas returning for a new season in a couple of weeks, the opening match of the night would see the in-ring return of The Bella Twins as Brie & Nikki would face The Riott Squad’s Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan, with Ruby Riott in their corner. In the end, it was Nikki Bella hitting Liv Morgan with the Rack Attack 2.0, pinning Liv to pick up the win for her and her sister. The newly formed team of Chad Gable & Bobby Roode were put to the test on RAW as Gable & Roode would face The Ascension. In the end, it was Chad Gable using his rolling German suplex with the bridge to keep Viktor down for the three-count as Gable & Roode pick up the win. Elias would then appear on RAW for a performance but, after badmouthing the city of Columbus, he would be interrupted by Columbus’ own Alexa Bliss, along with Mickie James & Alicia Fox. “The Goddess” says that she graduated high school in this very building before calling her fellow Columbus residents “sheep”, saying that what Elias said was true, referring to the fans as “zombies”. Alexa then says that she is the best thing to come out of Columbus before running down Trish Stratus, Ronda Rousey, and her opponent tonight Natalya. Alexa then asks Elias to play his song because she wants to “walk with Elias” but the performance is quickly interrupted by RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, who is followed by Natalya. With Ronda Rousey in her corner, Natalya would face Ronda’s WWE Hell in a Cell opponent Alexa Bliss, with Mickie James & Alicia Fox in her corner. In the end, it was Alexa Bliss using Ronda Rousey’s own armbar on Natalya, making Natalya tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Ronda would check on Natalya in the ring before Alexa tries to ambush the RAW Women’s Champion but Rousey fights back before Alicia Fox gets involved. Ronda handles Alicia with ease before Alexa attacks from behind, sending the champion into the steel steps. However, Rousey would battle back once again, repelling the attack by “The Goddess”. Moments after Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre took out The Revival backstage, there would be a change of plans in the scheduled title match as, instead of The Revival, The B-Team would defend the RAW Tag Team Titles against Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre. In the end, it was Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre taking full advantage of their created opportunity as Dolph & Drew would hit Curtis Axel with their Zig Zag/Claymore Kick combination as McIntyre pins Axel as Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre become the brand new RAW Tag Team Champions! On a night of unexpected alliances, The Authors of Pain would come to the ring with 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick by their side. Maverick’s explanation is simple, saying that he is the General Manager of 205 Live but he is now also the manager of The Authors of Pain, vowing to lead Akam & Rezar to the RAW Tag Team Titles. The Authors of Pain were then in action on RAW as Akam & Rezar would face local competitors Keith Thompson & Jimmy James. In the end, it was The Authors of Pain hitting the Super Collider on the two local competitors with Akam pinning Jimmy James to pick up the win for the team. With the Last Time Ever showdown between Triple H and The Undertaker coming up at WWE Super Show-Down in Australia on October 6, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels would make a special appearance to weigh in on the match between two legends he knows very well. HBK says that he is going to be a part of WWE Super Show-Down to see the match between Triple H and The Undertaker in person. Michaels then says that he was surprised to see how many people thought that The Undertaker would win with “The Showstopper” saying that he, along with fellow Texan and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin, are picking Triple H to win. Michaels continues, saying that Triple H has a lot more “left in the tank” than The Undertaker does, saying that Triple H is going to “cerebrally assassinate” The Undertaker next month in Melbourne. However, the fans in Columbus, as well as Shawn Michaels, were in for a huge surprise as “The Deadman” himself would arrive on RAW as The Undertaker would methodically make his way to the ring to confront one of his biggest rivals, Shawn Michaels! The Undertaker says that it seems that this just became “personal”, saying that Triple H and Shawn Michaels have been friends for twenty years, saying that he took the best that both of them had and he put them both “down”. The Undertaker then says that, in the process, he reached in and took part of their “soul” and their “egos” cannot accept it, saying that HBK chose Triple H to win because he took the one thing that was the most important to Shawn Michaels and that was his career. Michaels says that he has stayed away and stayed true to his retirement because he is a “man of honor” and “integrity” and he stayed retired out of “respect” for the system, the respect for the fans, and out of respect for The Undertaker. Shawn Michaels then says that he has been hearing the fans chant “one more match” for the last decade, saying that, every year, someone is knocking on his door, begging for a dream match against him at WrestleMania. HBK continues, saying that he has turned down millions and millions of dollars to do one more match and it’s all out of “respect” for The Undertaker. The Undertaker questions his old rival, asking if it’s a matter of respect or if it’s a matter of “fear”, saying that, if Michaels came out of retirement, there would be one person he would be looking for and it’s The Undertaker. The Undertaker then vows that he would put HBK down again, saying that Michaels knows it, he knows, and the fans know it. “The Deadman” then concludes by declaring that, in Melbourne on October 6 at WWE Super Show-Down, he is going to put Triple H down again! The Undertaker then leaves the ring, walking up the ramp before glaring back at Shawn Michaels and raising his fist in the air as Shawn Michaels is left in the ring, clearly affected by the words of “The Phenom”. After Dana Brooke came up short against Sasha Banks last week, Dana would enlist the help of Ember Moon as, with Titus O’Neil & Apollo Crews watching from the outside, the team of Dana & Ember would face Sasha Banks & Bayley on RAW. During the match, Dana Brooke would grow frustrated with both Titus O’Neil & Apollo Crews and would take the time to yell at Titus & Apollo and it would end up costing Dana as Sasha Banks would surprise Dana with a sunset flip roll-up for the win. After the match, Dana Brooke would declare that she is “done” with both Titus & Apollo before storming off to the back. Per the orders of Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley would be forced to undergo some anger management in the ring with Jinder Mahal & Sunil Singh. However, the segment is crashed by Kevin Owens who, despite declaring that he quit last week, would ambush Bobby Lashley. Once Lashley starts to battle back, Jinder Mahal gets involved, which would allow Kevin Owens to blast Lashley with a super kick. On the outside, Kevin Owens would drill Lashley with a powerbomb on the ring apron before walking to the back as a referee comes out to check on Lashley. Then it was time for the main event as, in a match that was originally scheduled to be Finn Balor facing Baron Corbin, the Acting General Manager would take himself out of the match, instead putting Finn Balor against “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman, with new RAW Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre in his corner. Despite the best efforts of Finn Balor, Braun Strowman would overwhelm his smaller opponent, planting Finn with the running powerslam and pinning Balor for the win. After the match, “The Monster Among Men” would flatten Balor with another running powerslam before bringing Finn to the outside where Braun, Dolph, & Drew were about to deliver a three-man powerbomb to Finn Balor on the steel steps. However, this is when sirens are heard blaring as the paddy wagon backs into the arena with Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the wheel. After letting Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins out, The Shield was back and ready to pick up where they left off earlier in the night. However, The Shield is ambushed by a number of Superstars as Kevin Owens, Jinder Mahal & Sunil Singh, Elias, The Ascension, Drew Gulak, Mike Kanellis, and The Authors of Pain blindside the trio, joined shortly by Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, & Drew McIntyre. As the majority of the contingent pick apart Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose on the stage, The Authors of Pain and Drew Gulak work over Roman Reigns outside the ring before Braun rams the steel steps into the head of the Universal Champion. Elias and Dolph Ziggler then toss Seth Rollins off of the stage as the Intercontinental Champion smashes into the side of the paddy wagon, being left lying in a pile of broken glass! Meanwhile, back at ringside, Braun drills Roman in the mid-section with the steel steps before The Authors of Pain and Drew Gulak pick Roman up again so that Strowman can blast Roman in the head with the steel steps one more time! As Elias and Konnor hold Seth in place, Dolph would slam the paddy wagon door into the head of the Intercontinental Champion as, on the stage, McIntyre would stomp the head of Dean Ambrose before drilling Ambrose with a boot to the skull. Likewise, Dolph would blast Rollins with a super kick before Braun squashes Roman with the running powerslam on the floor. Ambrose & Rollins are then dragged back to ringside, laid beside the Universal Champion as Braun, Dolph, & Drew stand tall in the ring with the rest of the Superstars standing around The Shield, staring down at the fallen trio.
