WWE SmackDown LIVE Results: July 10, 2018By Cassidy| July 11, 2018 WWE SmackDown Previous Page Detailed Results SmackDown LIVE kicks off with The Miz in the ring as “The A-Lister” would present Miz TV, plugging his upcoming reality show before introducing his guests, Team Hell No. Trying to keep things civil between himself and Daniel Bryan, The Miz says that he is trying to be a “professional” and he would appreciate it if Daniel would do the same. Bryan responds by threatening to punch The Miz but Kane talks Daniel down as Daniel reluctantly agrees to be professional. The Miz says that he never thought he would see Team Hell No reunited before asking if Daniel & Kane are prepared to face The Bludgeon Brothers for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles this Sunday at Extreme Rules. Kane admits that The Bludgeon Brothers are undefeated as SmackDown Tag Team Champions but the one thing that Harper & Rowan are not is Team Hell No. After showing a video package that features Kane trying to end Daniel Bryan’s career, The Miz tries to drive a wedge between Daniel & Kane. Daniel cuts The Miz off, saying that he knows what The Miz is trying to do before saying that The Miz is “terrible at everything”. The Miz says that Kane is going to betray Daniel Bryan again and Daniel is going to fall for it again. The Miz then calls Kane a “cheesy nostalgia act” before saying that Daniel Bryan can’t hang with him in the ring. Kane then continues to try and keep Daniel from fighting The Miz, saying that Daniel needs to “stay calm and breathe”. Kane then says that they need to stay focused on The Bludgeon Brothers before The Miz tells Daniel to hide behind his “broken down demon” one more time. This is when Kane would have all he could take of The Miz as Kane grabs “The A-Lister” by the throat. However, this is when The Bludgeon Brothers come out to confront their Extreme Rules opponents but, just as the SmackDown Tag Team Champions approach the ring, SAnitY arrives, jumping Team Hell No from behind! After tossing Kane out of the ring, SAnitY would beat Daniel Bryan down in the ring, leaving Kane open to an attack from The Bludgeon Brothers as the champions send Kane into the steel steps. The New Day then come out for a piece of SAnitY, sparking a huge brawl between the ten Superstars. Daniel Bryan then takes Eric Young out with the running knee before Killian Dain takes Daniel out. Eric Young then takes Xavier Woods down before Killian Dain & Alexander Wolfe take care of Big E. Agents and referees then rush out to break it up as The Bludgeon Brothers stare down SAnitY. Before he challenges Jeff Hardy for the United States Title at Extreme Rules, Shinsuke Nakamura would renew his rivalry with AJ Styles, going one-on-one with the WWE Champion in a non-title match in the opening match of the night with AJ’s Extreme Rules challenger Rusev a guest on commentary. During the match, AJ Styles would deck Aiden English on the outside before Shinsuke Nakamura tries to take advantage with a Kinshasa but Styles moves out of the way and Nakamura inadvertently hits Aiden with the Kinshasa! This would pave the way for Rusev to attack AJ Styles, ending the match by disqualification. Rusev and Nakamura are then set to double team the WWE Champion but Jeff Hardy makes the save as the United States Champion takes out both Rusev and Nakamura. This brings out SmackDown LIVE General Manager Paige, who makes an impromptu tag team match. In an impromptu tag team match, WWE Champion AJ Styles would team with United States Champion Jeff Hardy to face Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura, with Aiden English in their corner. In the end, it was Shinsuke Nakamura racking Jeff Hardy up on the top rope, allowing Rusev to take advantage with a Machka Kick, pinning the United States Champion to pick up the win for his team. With Lana, The IIconics, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Naomi, Becky Lynch, and SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella surrounding the ring as lumberjacks, James Ellsworth would go one-on-one with “The Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka in a Lumberjack Match. During the match, the lumberjacks would brawl amongst themselves which would give James Ellsworth an opening to try and escape but Becky Lynch and Naomi would drag Ellsworth back to ringside. Asuka then dives to the outside, taking out all of the lumberjacks, with the exception of Carmella. Back in the ring, Carmella would hand Ellsworth something but Asuka would not give Ellsworth a chance to use it, knocking Carmella off of the ring apron before locking in the Asuka Lock on Ellsworth, making Ellsworth tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Asuka would attack Carmella but Ellsworth would spray something in the eyes of Asuka, temporarily blinding Asuka. Ellsworth then holds the ankle of Asuka as the SmackDown Women’s Champion would level her Extreme Rules challenger with a super kick, leaving Carmella standing tall over “The Empress of Tomorrow”. Andrade “Cien” Almas would return to action on SmackDown LIVE as Almas, with Zelina Vega in his corner, would go one-on-one with Sin Cara. Despite an impressive performance by Sin Cara, it was Andrade “Cien” Almas delivering the double knees in the corner to Sin Cara as Almas pins Sin Cara to pick up the win. Then it was time for the massive main event as Extreme Rules opponents would face off with Team Hell No joining forces with The New Day to face the team of SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bludgeon Brothers and SAnitY in a 10-Man Tag Match! At the end of a chaotic 10-man melee, it was Daniel Bryan scoring with the running knee to Eric Young as Daniel pins Young to pick up the win for his team. After the match, Daniel Bryan and Kane take turns doing their impersonation of the other with Kane doing Daniel’s “yes” chant before, after a few attempts, Daniel ignites Kane’s signature fire pyro! Daniel then celebrates his feat as Kane looks at Daniel in disbelief before getting in on Daniel’s “yes” chant. What did you think of this week’s SmackDown LIVE? Post your comments in the box below.
