WWE RAW Results: July 2, 2018By Cassidy| July 3, 2018 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results After the issues between he and Bobby Lashley cost them a tag team rematch with The Revival last week, RAW kicks off with Roman Reigns. Roman says that, in his career, he never thought he’d lose to the likes of The Revival. Reigns then says that he’s not making excuses but he did have the “worst tag team partner of all time”. Roman continues, saying that RAW General Manager Kurt Angle scheduled another match pitting he and Bobby Lashley against The Revival tonight but he doesn’t want to team with Bobby Lashley, he wants to “fight” Bobby Lashley. Roman then says that Lashley is a “egomaniac” and a “fool” because Lashley believes that he’s “the guy” but Reigns argues that he is “the guy” and he’s “The Big Dog” and he “runs this yard”. This brings out Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, who Roman Reigns had a run-in with last week. Dolph says that Roman Reigns has to make everything about him and he walks around like he owns the place, saying that Roman acts like everything in this world has to go through Roman. McIntyre says that Reigns couldn’t resist being the “hero” last week when he came to the aid of Seth Rollins. After both Dolph & Drew get in the ring, McIntyre says that, since Roman stuck his nose in their business last week, they thought they’d come out there and “return the favor”. With that, Dolph & Drew ready themselves for a fight but Reigns strikes first, attacking Drew McIntyre but it doesn’t take long for Dolph Ziggler to get involved and Roman is quickly overwhelmed by the odds. Seth Rollins then rushes out to make the save, clearing the ring of McIntyre before pummeling Dolph before Ziggler escapes, leaving Rollins and Reigns standing tall in the ring once again. With Bray Wyatt out of action due to injury, RAW Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy would go one-on-one with one-half of The B-Team, Curtis Axel, with Bo Dallas in his corner, in the opening match of the night. During the match, a distraction by Bo Dallas would give Curtis Axel the opening he needed, bouncing Matt Hardy off of the ring post, following it up with the Axehole, defeating Matt for the second week in a row. Then it was time for Bayley’s first counseling session as, in footage shot earlier in the day, Bayley is reading a magazine in the waiting room when she is confronted by Sasha Banks as it’s revealed that they’re both scheduled for the same appointment. This sparks an argument between the former best friends before the infamous Dr. Shelby makes his return, the doctor who helped Daniel Bryan and Kane get on the same page a few years ago. The doctor brings Bayley and Sasha into the “friend zone”, showing them some cards with the “ten tenants of friendship”. Following a confrontation last week, Titus O’Neil & Apollo Crews, with Dana Brooke in their corner, would try and stop the onslaught of The Authors of Pain in tag team action. In the end, it was The Authors of Pain hitting Apollo Crews with the Last Chapter as Rezar pins Apollo to pick up the win as their dominance continues. In the first of two tag team matches featuring Roman Reigns, “The Big Dog” would team with Seth Rollins to face the team of Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. During the match, Seth Rollins would reach for a tag to Roman Reigns but this is when The Revival would run in through the crowd, pulling Roman off of the ring apron, ending the match by disqualification. This sparks a beatdown as The Revival is joined by Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre as all four Superstars assault Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. After The Revival sends Roman into the steel steps on the outside, Dolph & Drew would isolate Seth in the ring, beating Rollins down before hitting the double team Zig Zag/Claymore Kick. Dolph & Drew then leave the ring as The Revival brings Roman into the ring, taking “The Big Dog” out with the Shatter Machine! The Revival then leaves the ring, having certainly softened Roman Reigns up for their tag match later on. After his partnership with Finn Balor came to blows last week, RAW Constable Baron Corbin would make an appearance on RAW. Corbin would call Finn Balor out to the ring so Finn could “apologize” for what happened last week. After both Superstars make jokes about the other, Finn tells Corbin that the Constable stopped deserving anyone’s respect the day that he became Stephanie McMahon’s “stooge”. Corbin responds by popping Finn with a right hand before Finn fights back, nearly hitting the Coup de Grace but the Constable is able to escape. Ember Moon was in action on RAW as “The War Goddess” would go one-on-one with The Riott Squad’s Liv Morgan, with Sarah Logan in her corner. In the end, it was Ember Moon hitting Liv Morgan with the Eclipse, pinning Liv for the win. Back at the counseling session, Dr. Shelby would have Bayley and Sasha Banks impersonate the other to air their honest feelings about each other. However, this tactic only leads to Bayley and Sasha bickering again before Dr. Shelby puts a stop to it. After Roman Reigns was beat down by The Revival earlier in the night, “The Big Dog” would compete in his second tag team match of the night as Roman Reigns would once again team with Bobby Lashley to face The Revival in a rematch from last week. Despite The Revival doing further damage to Roman Reigns throughout the match, Roman would refuse to tag Bobby Lashley into the match and, eventually, The Revival would both put the boots to “The Big Dog”, resulting in the match ending by disqualification. Fed up with Roman’s stubbornness, Bobby Lashley would walk away from the scene as The Revival takes Roman out with the Shatter Machine. The Revival then leave the ring, leaving Reigns in clear pain in the ring. After once again refusing to face No Way Jose in a rematch, Mojo Rawley would attack the fun-loving Superstar before Mojo leaves the ring to attack a member of Jose’s conga line. Rawley would toss the conga line member around before No Way Jose makes the save, only to get beat down by Mojo as Rawley plants No Way Jose back-first on the ring apron before Mojo storms off to the back. In an exclusive interview with the suspended Ronda Rousey, “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” says she is looking forward to the RAW Women’s Title rematch between champion Alexa Bliss and former champion Nia Jax at Extreme Rules. Ronda then reveals that, even though she is suspended, that doesn’t stop her from buying a ticket, saying that she will be in the front row at Extreme Rules! After revealing that her rematch against Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Title at Extreme Rules will now be an Extreme Rules Match, “The Irresistible Force” Nia Jax, with Natalya in her corner, would go one-on-one with Mickie James, with RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss in her corner. With Natalya keeping Alexa Bliss from getting involved, Nia Jax would hit Mickie James with a Samoan Drop, pinning Mickie for the win. Then it was time for the main event as, after having his car flipped over by Braun Strowman last week, Kevin Owens would go one-on-one with “Mr. Monster-in-the-Bank” Braun Strowman. Almost as soon as the match begins, Kevin Owens would flee the ring and hoof it to the backstage area, resulting in a count-out victory for Braun Strowman. However, “Mr. Monster-in-the-Bank” wasn’t finished with Kevin Owens as Braun would head to the back in pursuit of Kevin Owens. Owens would look to get in his car and drive away but Owens would forget his keys and would instead hide from Strowman in a nearby porta potty. Braun would look all around for Owens and would almost give up before catching a whiff of the porta potty. After discovering that Owens was in the porta potty, Braun would duct tape the door shut before dragging the porta potty into the arena. Strowman then pulls the porta potty up onto the stage, positioning the porta potty on the edge of the stage before charging full force, knocking the porta potty off the stage as the porta potty containing Kevin Owens crashes hard on the concrete floor! Kevin Owens then receives medical attention, rolling out of the porta potty, covered in a blue substance as EMT’s work through the stench to tend to Kevin Owens as Braun Strowman celebrates on the stage.
