WWE RAW Results: June 4, 2018By Cassidy| June 5, 2018 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results Before he challenges Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship in thirteen nights at WWE Money-in-the-Bank, RAW kicks off with Elias. After a few strums on his guitar, Elias says that he’s the “most valuable asset” that WWE has and he will become even more valuable when he wins the Intercontinental Title at Money-in-the-Bank. Elias then performs his song before being interrupted by the man he smashed with a guitar last week, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins. With guitar in hand, Elias dares the Intercontinental Champion to enter the ring so Seth Rollins grabs a steel chair and does just that with Rollins and Elias circling each other, ready to swing their respective weapon. Elias would swing his guitar first and Seth would deflect it with a steel chair, leaving Elias unarmed. However, this is when Jinder Mahal, along with Sunil Singh, would ambush Seth Rollins. This is when Roman Reigns would make the save, clearing the ring before RAW General Manager Kurt Angle comes out to the stage to turn the brawl into a tag team match. Money-in-the-Bank opponents would face off in tag team action as Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins would team with “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns to face Elias and Jinder Mahal, with Sunil Singh in his corner, in the opening match of the night. During the match, Sunil Singh would grab a steel chair on the outside of the ring to try and hit Seth Rollins, but Seth would catch Sunil and would take the chair away. Rollins then chases Sunil into the ring but Elias cuts Seth off and delivers a DDT to Rollins on the steel chair! This would allow Elias to follow up with Drift Away as Elias pins the Intercontinental Champion to pick up the win for his team! With the promise of giving free tacos to the crowd if he beats local competitor James Harden to break his 199-match losing streak, Curt Hawkins would look to have things in hand against James Harden before Baron Corbin comes out. Corbin would attack James Harden to ensure that Hawkins suffers his 200th loss and “The Lone Wolf” would further embarrass Curt Hawkins by beating Hawkins down on the outside and dumping the table full of tacos on top of Hawkins. Backstage, Baron Corbin informs Kurt Angle that he talked to RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and Stephanie has appointed Corbin as the new “Constable of Monday Night RAW” as Corbin will serve as Stephanie’s “personal representative” to assist Kurt Angle in his duties as RAW General Manager. With Ronda Rousey a guest on commentary, RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax would face Ronda’s friend and training partner Natalya in a non-title match. During the match, Natalya would land awkwardly on her knee and Nia Jax would take advantage with a Samoan Drop, pinning Natalya for the win. After the match, Ronda Rousey would come down to the ring to check on Natalya and this would lead to a confrontation between Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey. Ronda would stand guard over Natalya, repeatedly telling the RAW Women’s Champion to back off before Rousey helps Natalya out of the ring and up the ramp. Thirteen nights before they join six other Superstars in the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match, RAW would see Bobby Roode square off with “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman. During the match, Bobby Roode would pull a ladder out from under the ring, bridging the ladder between the barricade and the ring apron. Roode then tries to trick Braun into running into the ladder on the outside but Strowman would stop short before smashing the ladder in half with his bare hands! Horrified, Roode would try to run away from “The Monster Among Men” but Braun would catch up to “The Glorious One”, bringing Roode back into the ring and planting Roode with the running powerslam, pinning Roode for the win. Following an unusual interview with RAW Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt, a tag team battle royal would determine new #1 Contenders for the RAW Tag Team Titles as The B-Team, Titus Worldwide, The Revival, Heath Slater & Rhyno, Breezango, The Ascension, and Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre would compete in the over-the-top rope match with the winning team earning a future shot at the RAW Tag Team Titles. After avoiding elimination several times in the early going, the team that was most likely the favorite to win the battle royal was eliminated first as Tyler Breeze eliminates Dolph Ziggler, meaning both Dolph and his partner Drew McIntyre are eliminated from the match! However, this would only serve to enrage Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre as, despite being eliminated, Dolph & Drew would assault the remaining combatants in the match, taking Bo Dallas out with their combination Zig Zag/Claymore Kick before referees are finally able to get Dolph & Drew out of the ring. The Revival then work together to eliminate Titus O’Neil, ensuring that Titus Worldwide will not be the #1 Contenders. This is followed up by Fandango eliminating Viktor to send The Ascension packing and The Revival eliminating Fandango to eliminate Breezango from the tag team battle royal. Rhyno then eliminates Dash Wilder to end The Revival’s impressive performance in the match, bringing it down to The B-Team and Heath Slater & Rhyno. With Rhyno on the verge of being eliminated, Heath Slater would battle back against The B-Team but Slater would make one big mistake that would cost his team the match as Heath would pick Bo Dallas up for a slam, inadvertently knocking Rhyno off of the apron to ensure victory for The B-Team as Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel become the new #1 Contenders for the RAW Tag Team Titles! Bobby Lashley would then make an appearance on RAW to address his Money-in-the-Bank opponent, Sami Zayn. Lashley would waste no time in calling Sami Zayn out but Sami would instead show up in the crowd. Showing his bandaged hand, Sami says that Lashley “assaulted” him last week before rambling on about Bobby Lashley’s Instagram while staying far away from the ring, saying that he doesn’t talk face-to-face with “liars”. As Sami continues to walk towards the back through the crowd, Sami that everything about Bobby Lashley is a “lie”, even questioning if Lashley was even in the Army. This would change the expression on Bobby Lashley’s face as Lashley stares a hole through Sami Zayn. After exchanging words through their respective interviews, Roman Reigns would track Jinder Mahal down, leading to a brawl between the two that requires agents and referees to intervene and break it up. Three of the eight competitors in the Women’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match would join forces on RAW as the team of Ember Moon, Alexa Bliss, and Sasha Banks would face The Riott Squad in a 6-Woman Tag match. Early on in the match, Alexa Bliss would feign a leg injury and would abandon her team, leaving Ember Moon and Sasha Banks on their own to combat The Riott Squad. Later on in the match, Ruby Riott & Sarah Logan would take out Ember Moon on the outside. This is when Bayley would come out and would accept the tag into the match! Now apparently a legal participant in the match, Bayley would hit Sarah Logan with the Bayley-to-Belly, pinning Logan to pick up the win for herself, Ember Moon, and Sasha Banks. After a conversation with new RAW Constable Baron Corbin where Corbin threatened to go to Stephanie McMahon, Kurt Angle would have no choice but to inform Ember Moon, Bayley, and Sasha Banks that, due to Bayley not being a legal participant in the match, The Riott Squad are the winners of their match by disqualification. This changes the demeanors of all three women before Sasha gives Bayley a disappointed look, walking away from her former best friend. Then it was time for the main event as two of the four RAW competitors in the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match would go one-on-one as Finn Balor would go one-on-one with Kevin Owens. At the end of a hard-fought match, it was Kevin Owens who would take things too far, getting himself disqualified for refusing to let up on Finn Balor in the corner. However, Kevin Owens was not through with Finn Balor as Owens would hit Finn with a frog splash before Owens would bring a ladder into the ring, setting it up in the middle of the ring. Owens would then climb the ladder but Owens would second-guess jumping from the ladder and this would give Finn Balor the time he needed to recover. Finn then battles back against Kevin Owens before climbing to the top of the ladder and diving off with a huge Coup de Grace to Kevin Owens! As Owens writhes in pain below him, Finn Balor would climb the ladder again, this time to symbolically retrieve the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase in what could be a sign of things to come in Chicago at WWE Money-in-the-Bank.
