During the match, Asuka looked to be closing in on a victory and the SmackDown Women’s Title when “The Empress of Tomorrow” is distracted by someone wearing her signature mask and robe. The masked individual gets on the ring apron and stares at Asuka, confusing not only Asuka, but Carmella as well. Asuka would stare at the mystery person, puzzled by their appearance. Carmella would try to take advantage of the distraction with a roll-up but Asuka would kick out before delivering a knee to the champion. Asuka then goes back to staring at the masked person on the ring apron. The individual then removes the mask to reveal none other than James Ellsworth! Ellsworth then winks at Asuka before Carmella catches “The Empress of Tomorrow” with the super kick, pinning Asuka to pick up the win and retain the SmackDown Women’s Title. After the match, Carmella and James Ellsworth would celebrate their ruse as Asuka is left in frustrated disbelief. The intense and personal rivalry between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura would reach a new level in “The Windy City” as AJ Styles would defend the WWE Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing Match, where the only way to win is by incapacitating your opponent to the point that they cannot answer the referee’s count of ten. Early on in the match, the two combatants would take their fight to the outside where AJ Styles would hit a Phenomenal Forearm but Shinsuke Nakamura would beat the count before battling back by suplexing the champion on the steel ramp before the match returns to the ring. The action then leaves the ring again and, this time, Nakamura brings Styles into the crowd, peppering the champion with kicks. AJ then fights back, bringing Nakamura back to the ringside area but, when Styles tries to leap off of the barricade, Nakamura takes AJ’s feet out from under him and the champion lands on his face. Back in the ring, Styles and Nakamura would trade shots before both men get back to their feet as AJ hits a flurry of strikes on the challenger. Styles is somehow able to leap to his feet at the last possible second. Both competitors then try to send their opponent into the exposed steel turnbuckle with AJ ultimately dodging a knee from Nakamura as the challenger drives his knee right into the exposed steel! Styles then focuses his offense on the knee of Nakamura, locking in the Calf Crusher on the challenger. Nakamura would tap out with desperation before AJ lets go of the hold. Nakamura is able to hobble up to his feet before tumbling to the outside and AJ would grab a steel chair, using it as a weapon against the knee of Nakamura. AJ then delivers a chair shot to the shoulder before raring up for another chair but this is when the challenger would spot his opening, delivering the dastardly low blow to the champion. Styles is able to use the German announce table to pull himself to his feet with Nakamura knocking AJ right back down with the Kinshasa! Somehow, AJ is able to save his title by getting to his feet less than a second before the ten-count. Nakamura then brings AJ to the Spanish announce table, but Nakamura’s knee gives out when the challenger tries to lift AJ up, the injured knee would give out on Nakamura. This would leave the challenger open to a Phenomenal Forearm from Styles. Rousey then psyches herself up before delivering a flurry of strikes to the champion before hoisting her larger opponent over for a Judo throw! Ronda then goes for the armbar with Nia doing her best to block it. However, just as Rousey is about to lock it in, Alexa Bliss emerges with her Money-in-the-Bank briefcase in hand, whacking Ronda in the back to end the match by disqualification! “Ms. Money-in-the-Bank” then sizes Nia Jax up before hitting the champion in the shoulder with the briefcase before Alexa smashes Ronda with the briefcase a couple more times. Alexa then sends Rousey shoulder-first into the ring post before hitting Ronda again on the outside. Alexa then sends Rousey over the announce table before getting back into the ring, catching Nia with a couple more briefcase shots to the arm. Alexa then hands her newly won briefcase to the referee, telling the referee that she is cashing in right now! Nia insists that she can compete so the referee calls for the bell and the impromptu title match gets underway! After targeting the shoulder of Nia Jax, Alexa would deliver her signature DDT to the champion. Alexa then drags Nia by the injured arm into position before Alexa climbs to the top rope, connecting with Twisted Bliss to Nia Jax, scoring the three-count to become the brand new RAW Women’s Champion! Alexa then celebrates with her fifth Women’s Title, having picked the perfect opportunity to cash in and regain the RAW Women’s Title that she lost at WrestleMania. Owens then brings Finn to the outside, laying Finn out on the announce table with a super kick. Owens then moves a large ladder into position but Owens’ plans would be interrupted by Rusev’s attempt to climb the ladder in the ring. Owens would try to stop Rusev but “The Lion of Bulgaria” would deliver a Fallaway Slam to Owens into a ladder. Samoa Joe then takes Rusev out before Kofi Kingston sends Joe out of the ring. Kofi then does the same to The Miz before Kofi takes flight with his patented trust fall. However, Kofi is caught by his fellow competitors before Finn Balor dives to the outside, taking out the opposition! Finn then heads to the stage to retrieve a ladder but Braun Strowman would hang onto the other end of the ladder. Braun then emerges from the pile of ladders, taking out Finn and Kofi before Samoa Joe dives at Braun, staggering “The Monster Among Men”. Owens then catches Braun with a super kick, followed up with a Machka Kick by Rusev. Owens then climbs to the top of an extremely tall ladder but Braun gets off of the table, knocking Joe and Rusev to the side before rushing up the ladder, hurling Owens off of the giant ladder through a set of tables on the floor! Braun then continues his patch of destruction by chokeslamming Kofi Kingston on a pile of ladders before charging full-force towards Finn Balor and Bobby Roode, smashing the ladder that the two men were holding in half! This leaves The Miz frozen in fear in the ring before “The A-Lister” tries to quickly win the match to escape “The Monster Among Men”. However, Braun would take The Miz out before Samoa Joe uses a ladder to stun Strowman. Joe then knocks Braun to the outside, which would allow Finn Balor to deliver a running dropkick to Braun, sending Braun over the barricade. Finn then races back into the ring as Finn and Joe battle atop the ladder before Bobby Roode intervenes. After Finn gets taken out, Joe takes Roode down before Joe and Rusev trade shots. Bobby Roode then takes the two men out before Finn Balor takes Roode out. Finn then clears the ring of everyone but Bobby Roode as Finn takes Roode down before Finn climbs the giant ladder on the outside, leaping off of the ladder with a huge Coup de Grace to Bobby Roode! Finn then climbs the ladder but Finn is picked off by Braun Strowman. Braun then plants Samoa Joe with the running powerslam before hitting The Miz with a running powerslam as well. Braun and Finn then climb the ladder but Kofi Kingston leaps onto the back of Strowman, trying to slow the big man down. Kofi is able to knock Finn down before Strowman tosses Kofi off of his back. This would allow Braun Strowman to unhook the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase as “The Monster Among Men” secures the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank briefcase as Strowman now holds a guaranteed shot at the Universal Championship whenever he wants it!
