WWE RAW Results: May 14, 2018By Cassidy| May 15, 2018 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results After Jinder Mahal cost him a spot in the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match last week, RAW kicks off with Roman Reigns. Roman wastes no time in calling out Jinder Mahal, daring “The Modern Day Maharaja” to come out there and face him “like a man”. However, Roman instead gets RAW General Manager Kurt Angle, who says that Jinder isn’t coming out there. Kurt says that he is speaking for “WWE management”, saying that he received a call over the weekend and it’s made him realize that he was “wrong” to deny Jinder Mahal the opportunity to qualify for the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match. The GM continues, saying that, as a leader, he should be thinking “logically” because that’s what is “best for business”. Kurt then announces that Jinder Mahal will get the chance to qualify for the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match tonight when he, Elias, and Bobby Lashley compete in a Triple Threat Money-in-the-Bank Qualifying Match. Roman is quick to demand that Kurt put him in the match and make it a Fatal 4-Way Match but the GM refuses, saying that WWE management has informed him that Roman Reigns will have no more qualifying opportunities. Roman says that he’s not mad at Kurt because he understands that the GM is just doing what he has to do before “The Big Dog” says that, now, he’s going to do what he has to do. With that, Roman Reigns leaves the ring and heads to the backstage area, hunting for Jinder Mahal. It doesn’t take long for Roman to find Jinder and, after sacrificing Sunil Singh to “The Big Dog”, Jinder would strike first against Roman, beating Reigns down before hitting Reigns with a trash can. Roman then battles back, sending “The Modern Day Maharaja” into a steel barricade, continuing to pummel Jinder before the fight spills out onto the stage. “The Big Dog” drops Jinder with a Superman Punch before Kurt Angle comes out with agents and referees to break it up, ushering Roman to the back. The opening match of the night would be for the Intercontinental Championship as Seth Rollins would defend the prestigious title against former rival Kevin Owens. During the match, Kevin Owens would look for the powerbomb on the ring apron but Seth Rollins would fight out, ultimately planting Owens with the Falcon Arrow on the ring apron! Later on in the match, Kevin Owens would hit a package superplex but Seth Rollins would roll to the outside and Owens would retrieve Rollins, rolling the champion back into the ring. However, as Owens gets back in the ring, Seth is able to surprise the challenger with the Curb Stomp, pinning Owens to successfully retain the Intercontinental Title. With Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, The Miz, and Rusev all qualifying for the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match last week, the fifth spot in the match would be filled on RAW as, in a Triple Threat Money-in-the-Bank Qualifying Match, No Way Jose, Baron Corbin, and “Glorious” Bobby Roode would compete with the winner qualifying for the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match. In the end, it was Bobby Roode planting No Way Jose with the Glorious DDT, pinning Jose to pick up the win and secure his spot in the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match. Now calling themselves “The B-Team”, Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel would face Breezango on RAW. In the end, it was The B-Team hitting Fandango with a double team backdrop/neckbreaker with Bo Dallas pinning Fandango to pick up their first win as a team ever. Elated, The B-Team would be interviewed after the match as Bo Dallas says that “anything is possible”. Curtis Axel then says that they are coming for the RAW Tag Team Titles, leading the crowd in a “B-Team” chant. After becoming the first woman to qualify for the Women’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match last week, Ember Moon would team up with Natalya and Sasha Banks to face The Riott Squad in a 6-Woman Tag match. At the end of a wild match, it was Natalya locking in the Sharpshooter on Liv Morgan, making Liv tap out to pick up the win for her team. The RAW Tag Team Champions were in action on RAW as Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt would face The Revival in a non-title match. In the end, it was Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt hitting Scott Dawson with the Kiss of Deletion as Matt pins Dawson to pick up the win for the RAW Tag Team Champions. Sami Zayn would then make an appearance on RAW to blame Bobby Lashley for giving him “vertigo” a few weeks ago. Sami then says that Lashley has been getting cheers and “special treatment” ever since returning to WWE before Sami says that Lashley wants to be like him, saying that Lashley was wearing his hat last week. Sami continues, saying that he contacted Bobby Lashley’s sisters on Facebook and, next week, Lashley’s sisters will be in attendance before Sami vows to “expose” Lashley in front of his sisters. A Triple Threat Match would then determine who will join Ember Moon and Charlotte Flair in the Women’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match as Bayley, Alexa Bliss, and Mickie James would compete in a Triple Threat Money-in-the-Bank Qualifying Match. Alexa Bliss and Mickie James would work together through much of the match but their alliance would ultimately dissolve and, in the end, it was Alexa Bliss planting Bayley with the DDT, pinning Bayley to qualify for the Women’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match. Backstage, Jinder Mahal was on his way to the ring to compete in the main event despite having injured ribs from earlier in the night when Roman Reigns would emerge out of nowhere, delivering a Spear to “The Modern Day Maharaja” through a door! Roman then glares at Sunil Singh before walking away as Sunil yells for medical assistance for Jinder. After both men qualified for the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match on last week’s RAW, Finn Balor would join forces with “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman to face Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre on RAW. During the match, Drew McIntyre would try to pull Finn Balor off of the top rope but Finn would kick McIntyre away before Braun Strowman would charge full-force at McIntyre, taking both men out and even sending McIntyre tumbling into Braun’s Greatest Royal Rumble trophy, knocking the trophy over, breaking the prize in half! Meanwhile, in the ring, Dolph Ziggler crotches Finn Balor on the top rope, pinning Finn to pick up the win for himself and Drew McIntyre. With Jinder Mahal unable to compete in the main event thanks to Roman Reigns, Kurt Angle would receive a call from RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and this phone call would force the GM to put Kevin Owens in Jinder’s place as Kevin Owens, Elias, and Bobby Lashley would compete in a Triple Threat Money-in-the-Bank Qualifying Match to see who will secure the final RAW spot in the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match. During the match, Bobby Lashley would hit Elias with the Dominator but, when Lashley goes for the pin, Sami Zayn would pull Lashley out of the ring. Sami would then take Lashley out with the Helluva Kick on the outside and this would allow Kevin Owens to take advantage as Owens takes flight with a frog splash to Elias, pinning Elias to pick up the win and qualify for the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match! Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn then stand united on the stage, having secured a spot for Kevin Owens in the Men’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match. What did you think of this week’s RAW?
