WWE RAW Results: March 12, 2018By Cassidy| March 17, 2018 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results With four weeks to go until he teams with Ronda Rousey to face Triple & Stephanie McMahon in a Mixed Tag Match at WrestleMania, RAW kicks off with RAW General Manager Kurt Angle. Kurt says that he is honored to be at competing at WrestleMania this year before saying that he almost feels “sorry” for what Ronda Rousey is going to do to Stephanie McMahon but he won’t “feel sorry” for what he does to Triple H. The GM then turns his attention to the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania and the scheduled confrontation between Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and his WrestleMania opponent Roman Reigns as Kurt informs the fans in Detroit that, once again, Brock Lesnar will not be appearing on RAW tonight. Kurt says that he doesn’t know whether Brock had travel issues, is feeling under the weather, or just decided not to show up before the GM tries to move on with the show. However, the challenger for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title at WrestleMania would interrupt as Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring. Roman says that he wishes that he could say he’s surprised before saying that Brock Lesnar didn’t show up to work this week, last week, or two weeks ago. Reigns then asks Kurt what the repercussions are going to be for Brock not showing up three weeks in a row with Roman answering his own question by saying that there won’t be any repercussions because Brock Lesnar is “Vince’s boy”. Roman then says that, if he, Kurt, or anyone in the locker room didn’t show up for work, their best case scenario would be a fine while their worst case scenario would be getting fired. Reigns continues, saying that it’s not fair and it’s a “problem” before saying that Kurt Angle isn’t the real problem, the real problem is Vince McMahon. Roman continues, saying that Vince didn’t even have the courtesy or the respect to tell him to his face that Brock wasn’t here tonight, saying that Vince is a man he busts his ass. Reigns then says that it’s one thing to be disrespected by Brock Lesnar but he will “not be disrespected” by Vince McMahon. Roman then leaves the ring in a huff, making a beeline back to the Gorilla Position to get in the face of Vince McMahon himself! With Vince’s son Shane trying to keep the two separated, Vince offers to talk to Roman Reigns in his office, telling the director to “go to commercial” before Vince and Roman walk off for their private conversation in Vince’s office. Backstage, Renee Young is waiting outside of Mr. McMahon’s office for a word with either Roman Reigns or Mr. McMahon and, while Roman exits the office first, he is clearly in no mood to talk, completely ignoring Renee and storming off. However, Mr. McMahon then exits and Renee is able to get a comment from the Chairman as Vince says that Brock Lesnar is not “anybody’s boy”, saying that Brock is his “own man” before saying that he had no intention of disrespecting Roman Reigns. The Chairman then explains that, as Roman’s cousin The Rock used to say, he told Reigns to “know your role and shut your mouth” before Vince says that Brock simply doesn’t “like people”. Vince continues, saying that Brock has “earned” his special privileges before vowing that Brock Lesnar will be on RAW next week and Brock will defend the Universal Title at WrestleMania, saying that he is giving his “word” that Brock will be on RAW next week. Before heading back into his office, the Chairman says that, based on what just happened, Roman Reigns has been “temporarily suspended”! With Bayley reluctantly in her corner, the opening match of the night would see “The Boss” Sasha Banks go one-on-one with Absolution’s Sonya Deville, with Paige & Mandy Rose in her corner. During the match, Bayley would pull Mandy Rose off of the ring apron and this would allow Sasha Banks to lock in the Bank Statement on Sonya Deville, making Sonya tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Bayley would head to the back and this would leave Sasha open to a two-on-one assault by Absolution as Mandy & Sonya beat Sasha down at the instruction of Paige, leaving Absolution standing tall. The latest inductee into the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame was announced on RAW as this year’s celebrity inductee will be none other than Grammy Award nominee and music icon Kid Rock, who will join Goldberg, The Dudley Boys, Ivory, Jeff Jarrett, Warrior Award recipient Jarrius “JJ” Robertson, and Hillbilly Jim as inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 6 in New Orleans. After finding out last week that he will be defending his Intercontinental Title against both Finn Balor and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania, Intercontinental Champion The Miz would appear on RAW to host Miz TV. The Miz says that The Miztourage will be competing for their spots at WrestleMania later tonight, which is why The Miztourage is not out there. The Miz then vows to defeat his two guests at WrestleMania en route to becoming the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all-time. The Miz first introduces Seth Rollins, who makes his way to the ring before the Intercontinental Champion brings out his second guest, Finn Balor, who joins his two WrestleMania opponents in the ring. The Miz immediately tries to create a rift between Finn Balor and Seth Rollins and forge an alliance with Rollins, but Seth is quick to expose The Miz’s plan. The Miz doesn’t give up, however, bringing up that Finn Balor defeated Seth Rollins to become the first ever Universal Champion a couple of years ago at SummerSlam. The Miz then tries to forge a union with Finn Balor, suggesting that he and Finn should be having a one-on-one match at WrestleMania. Finn also doesn’t fall for The Miz’s plan before the Intercontinental Champion claims that Seth “resents” Finn before saying that Rollins is untrustworthy, pointing out Seth stabbing The Shield in the back. Seth says that they don’t need firing up, vowing that he is going to take the Intercontinental Title from The Miz at WrestleMania, saying that Finn “doesn’t stand a chance”. Balor is quick to point out that that he beat Seth with one arm the last time they faced off in a championship match. Finn then gets to his feet, saying that they don’t have to wait for WrestleMania, they can do this right here in Detroit. Finn and Seth then get in each other’s faces before turning their attention to The Miz as Finn and Seth decide to take care of The Miz, tossing Miz out of the ring before Finn turns right around into a right hand from Rollins. Seth then leaves the ring, having made his point while leaving Finn laid out and The Miz elated. As eluded to by The Miz moments earlier, The Miztourage would be in for a potential title opportunity at WrestleMania on RAW as The Miztourage would face RAW Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus in a non-title match. However, The Miztourage would ambush the RAW Tag Team Champions before the match can even begin, sparking a brawl between the two teams. This brings out The Revival as well as Gallows & Anderson before Titus Worldwide and Heath Slater & Rhyno join the wild brawl as five of the teams join up to beat Cesaro & Sheamus down before the RAW Tag Team Champions are able to escape from the title-hungry teams. After coming up short in the Six Pack Challenge for the WWE Championship at Fastlane, leaving him with no clear path on the Road to WrestleMania, sixteen-time former World Champion John Cena would appear on RAW to address his plans for WrestleMania. Cena admits that he’s had “opportunity after opportunity” on both RAW and SmackDown LIVE to forge his Road to WrestleMania but he has failed every time, saying that he has no one to blame but himself. Cena then says that he is out there to say that he will “not contribute” to WrestleMania this year, saying that he will be at WrestleMania but his Road to WrestleMania is now the same as the fan’s. Cena continues, saying that he’s going to this year’s WrestleMania as a “fan” before saying that there is no WrestleMania without the fans. Cena then says that he is going to WrestleMania to be “excited” just like all the fans before hopping into the fans and having a sip of a fan’s beer before starting his own “this is awesome” chant. Now back in the ring, Cena would lead the fans in the one chant they won’t be hearing at this year’s WrestleMania and that’s a “let’s go Cena, Cena sucks” dueling chant. Cena then says that the only way that they would hear those chants at WrestleMania would be if he did something now that he’s not supposed to do. After thinking it over, Cena asks “what’s the worst that could happen” if he does what he’s not supposed to do, saying that it doesn’t change anything even if he does do what he’s not supposed to do. Much to the elation of the fans in Detroit, Cena announces that he is officially challenging The Undertaker to a match at WrestleMania! Cena then explains that he was told that a match against The Undertaker was “impossible” but he was never told why it was impossible. Cena then repeatedly declares that he’s challenging The Undertaker to a match at WrestleMania before saying that there is only one man that is keeping this match from happening and that is The Undertaker himself. Addressing The Undertaker himself, Cena tells The Undertaker to “get over your own ego” before saying that, when The Undertaker fails, he hides his “head in the sand” out of embarrassment. Cena continues, saying that a “symbol so strong is really so fragile” before telling “The Phenom” to stop hiding behind his “lame excuses”. Cena then says that The Undertaker is “not too old” and he is “not broken down” because, if he was, then he wouldn’t be posting “workout videos” on his wife’s Instagram, calling The Undertaker a “self-centered egomaniac”! Cena then polls the crowd on if they want to him face The Undertaker at WrestleMania with the fans voicing their approval before saying that he is either going to WrestleMania as a fan or he is going to WrestleMania as The Undertaker’s opponent which will be “history”. Cena then concludes by telling “The Deadman” to see if he’s “still alive” before saying that, if he was The Undertaker, then he would want “one more match” before Cena leaves the ring and heads to the back. After the beating he sustained at the hands of Braun Strowman in the Symphony of Destruction Match last week, Elias would appear on RAW in a neck brace and plenty of bandages, showing the effects of his war with Strowman. After a few strums on his guitar, Elias would tell the fans “this is your fault” before getting up and leaving his guitar in the ring, sadly walking to the back. Following their confrontation on Miz TV earlier in the night, two-thirds of the Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania would face off on RAW as Seth Rollins would go one-on-one with Finn Balor. At the end of a highly competitive match, Seth Rollins would go for his signature superplex into the Falcon’s Arrow, but after hitting the superplex, Finn Balor was able to surprise Seth with a roll-up, pinning Rollins to pick up the win. After the match, Finn Balor would grin at Seth Rollins as Rollins would exit the ring, clearly frustrated. It was announced during RAW that, in honor of the late, great WWE Hall of Famer The Fabulous Moolah, this year’s WrestleMania will be home to the inaugural Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal, where female Superstars from both RAW and SmackDown LIVE will compete on “The Grandest Stage of Them All” with the winner becoming the first ever winner of The Fabulous Moolah Memorial trophy! After unexpectedly showing up at Fastlane to reveal that she will be challenging Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Title at WrestleMania, the winner of the 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble Match Asuka would appear on RAW to be interviewed in the ring by Charly Caruso regarding her decision. However, before Asuka could explain her decision, he is interrupted by RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, who comes out with Mickie James by her side. Alexa says that Asuka is “very smart” before saying that Asuka wouldn’t dare endanger her streak by facing her at WrestleMania. The champion then says that Asuka knows that she cannot beat Alexa at WrestleMania before saying that some may say that it’s “cowardly” to back away from a fight, but if it’s a fight you know you can’t win, it’s called “smart strategy”. Alexa continues, saying that she will be “rooting for” Asuka to beat Charlotte Flair, saying that she applauds Asuka for choosing the “champion of the b-show”. Asuka replies by saying that she chose Charlotte because “if you want to be the woman, you have to beat the woman” before saying that she chose “the best champion in WWE”. Asuka then says that she beat Alexa once before and she can beat her again right now! Alexa says that Asuka had her chance to face her but she chose Charlotte before the RAW Women’s Champion gestures to the stage for someone that Asuka has “unfinished business” with but no one comes out. This prompts a private discussion between Alexa and Mickie with Alexa shoving Asuka before Mickie attacks Asuka. “The Empress of Tomorrow” was then in action on RAW as Asuka would go one-on-one with Mickie James, with RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss in her corner. Despite Mickie James targeting the hurt right leg of Asuka, “The Empress of Tomorrow” would still emerge victorious, locking Mickie James in the Asuka Lock, making Mickie tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Alexa Bliss would immediately storm to the back. Backstage, RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss confronts Nia Jax, wanting to know why Nia Jax didn’t come out when she told her to. Nia explains that Kurt Angle told her not to go out there because she has a match tonight. Alexa says that she thought it was a good chance to redeem herself after her “embarrassing loss” last week before saying that she was the one who was there for Nia Jax last week, telling Nia “I love you” before the two friends hug. “The Irresistible Force” was in action on RAW as Nia Jax would face local competitor Joan King. It was an easy victory for Nia Jax as Nia would flatten Joan King with the big leg drop, pinning King for the victory. After the match, cameras would catch a conversation between Alexa Bliss and Mickie James backstage as Alexa and Mickie laugh at what Alexa had to say to Nia last week with Alexa calling Nia “Shrek”. Alexa then tells Mickie that Nia is “perfectly happy” carrying Alexa’s bags before saying that Nia can’t handle the truth and the truth is that she “uses” Nia because Nia is a “vulnerable human being”. Alexa then says that she’s got Nia Jax in the palm of her hand before saying that Nia is “easily manipulated” and is as “dumb” as she is “big” before saying that she makes Nia “relevant” and, if Nia doesn’t do what they want next week, they’ll just “beat the hell” out of her. Charly Caruso then enters the room to interview Alexa Bliss, revealing to the RAW Women’s Champion that the microphone above her head has been on this entire time and everyone just heard what Alexa said! Back in the arena, Nia Jax would walk up the ramp, wiping the tears from her eyes before an enraged Nia makes a beeline for the back. While Alexa and Mickie are able to escape moments before Nia busts into the room, Nia Jax rips the room to shreds, tossing bags and ripping wardrobes in an emotional tirade. After accepting “Woken” Matt Hardy’s challenge to face him in The Ultimate Deletion at The Hardy Compound next week, Bray Wyatt says that it would be a “real shame” if something “bad” were to happen to Matt’s family, telling Matt “I’m coming for you”. The main event would then be a five-team battle royal as, with RAW Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus guests on commentary, The Revival, Titus Worldwide, The Miztourage, Heath Slater & Rhyno, and Gallows & Anderson were set to compete to see who would challenge Cesaro & Sheamus for the RAW Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania. However, with the match set to begin, Braun Strowman would march down to the ring, much to the confusion of everyone. The referee and the teams try to explain to Braun that it’s a tag team battle royal but Strowman would insist on the match getting underway and the referee complies! “The Monster Among Men” wastes no time in showing his dominance, tossing Apollo Crews out before chasing Heath Slater down and tossing Heath out. The remaining competitors would then try to eliminate Braun Strowman but The Revival would opt to back off before singling out Rhyno, eliminating the hometown competitor from the match. The remaining Superstars would reconvene on the outside to try and formulate a plan to deal with Braun Strowman. After Titus O’Neil and Gallows & Anderson work together to knock Braun out of the ring, The Revival and The Miztourage would work together, repeatedly using the steel steps to take Strowman down on the outside, though not eliminating “The Monster Among Men”. The other competitors then turn their attention back to each other with Bo Dallas eliminating Scott Dawson before Curtis Axel eliminates Dash Wilder. Braun Strowman then returns to the ring with a vengeance, eliminating Titus O’Neil before tossing Luke Gallows out as well. Braun then continues his dominance of the tag team division, planting both members of The Miztourage with running powerslams before tossing Curtis Axel out as well as Bo Dallas. It then comes down to Karl Anderson and Braun Strowman but “The Monster Among Men” easily fight back against Anderson, screaming “I’m going to WrestleMania” before eliminating Anderson from the match as Braun wins the tag team battle royal to punch his ticket to WrestleMania! Cesaro & Sheamus then stare at Braun Strowman in disbelief as one man just became the #1 Contender for the RAW Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania! What did you think of this week’s RAW?
