WWE RAW Results: February 5, 2018By Cassidy| February 6, 2018 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results Moments before he faces Roman Reigns in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match, Bray Wyatt would appear on the Tron. Bray says that the Elimination Chamber is the home to his greatest victory as he won the WWE Championship inside the Chamber last year. Bray says that his “nemesis” Roman Reigns has fallen so far down the spiral that the world “no longer recognizes him”. Bray then says that Roman failed at the Royal Rumble and he failed to win the Intercontinental Title last week before calling Roman a “failure” that is just waiting for someone to put him out of his misery and he is willing to “oblige”. Bray continues, saying that what awaits Reigns at the bottom of that spiral is something far worse than failure and that’s him. Roman Reigns then appears on the Tron for his rebuttal, saying that he’s had his fair share of ups and downs, but that doesn’t make him a failure, saying that’s the “mark of a great journey”. Roman then says that his journey to WrestleMania starts tonight and goes through the Elimination Chamber before “smashing into Suplex City” at WrestleMania. Roman then proclaims that Bray Wyatt “can’t stop me”, the Elimination Chamber “can’t stop me”, and Brock Lesnar “can’t stop me” from becoming the next Universal Champion. With Braun Strowman, Elias, and John Cena qualifying for the #1 Contender’s Elimination Chamber Match last week, the opening match of RAW would see “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns face a familiar foe in “The Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match where the winner will earn a spot in the Elimination Chamber Match that will determine who faces Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania. During the match, Roman Reigns would go for the Spear but Bray Wyatt would counter with a kick to the face before following it up with Sister Abigail, but Roman would kick out. Bray then goes for a second Sister Abigail but Roman fights out before connecting with the Spear, pinning Bray to pick up the win as Roman Reigns qualifies for the Elimination Chamber Match in less than three weeks at WWE Elimination Chamber. After the match, Roman Reigns would leave the ring and, as Bray Wyatt gets to his feet, “Woken” Matt Hardy appears behind “The Eater of Worlds”, attacking Bray and laying Bray out with the Twist of Fate, getting a measure of revenge for Bray costing Matt his match last week. After being challenged to a tag match by The Revival, RAW would see Finn Balor team with Karl Anderson, with Luke Gallows in their corner, to face The Revival. In the end, it was Finn Balor hitting Scott Dawson with the Coup de Grace, pinning Dawson to pick up the win for himself and Karl Anderson. The Cruiserweights were back in action on RAW as the team of Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali faced Drew Gulak and Tony Nese in tag team action with new 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick a guest on commentary. In the end, it was Cedric Alexander hitting Drew Gulak with the Lumbar Check, pinning Gulak to pick up the win for his team. RAW General Manager Kurt Angle would then make his way to the ring on RAW to reveal who will join Alexa Bliss in the first ever Women’s Elimination Chamber Match for the RAW Women’s Title in just under three weeks at WWE Elimination Chamber. The GM wastes little time in revealing the competitors as, in addition to defending champion Alexa Bliss, former champion Bayley, Absolution’s Mandy Rose, six-time former champion Mickie James, Absolution’s Sonya Deville, and “The Boss” Sasha Banks will all compete in the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match to determine who will be the RAW Women’s Champion heading into WrestleMania. Kurt then announces that the winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble Match would be in action at WWE Elimination Chamber as “The Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka will face “The Irresistible Force” Nia Jax and, if Nia wins, she gets added to the RAW Women’s Title match at WrestleMania, making it a Triple Threat Match for the title. Kurt is then interrupted by a visibly unhappy RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, who makes her way to the ring to confront the GM. Alexa says what Kurt is doing is “wrong” and “unjust” before asking why she has to defend her title in the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match but Brock Lesnar doesn’t have to defend his title in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match. The champion then asks why she doesn’t get the exact same privilege as Brock Lesnar does, pointing out that Brock gets to sit on the sidelines to watch and see who wins. Alexa continues, asking if it’s because she’s “just a woman” before Kurt points out that Brock defended his title at the Royal Rumble while Alexa hasn’t defended the RAW Women’s Title since WWE TLC in October! Alexa says that, as the GM, it’s Kurt’s fault that she hasn’t defended the title since October before asking the GM if he values Brock Lesnar more than he values her, saying that Kurt is “guilty of preferential treatment” before calling the GM’s actions “sexist”! Kurt says that it never occurred to him to compare Brock Lesnar and Alexa Bliss, saying that it’s his job to make the best possible matches that he can before saying that Alexa is trying to “weasel” her way out of having to defend her title inside the Elimination Chamber. The GM then polls the crowd on if they want to see Alexa defend the title inside the Elimination Chamber with the crowd chanting “yes” in support of the match. Alexa responds by calling the fans “sheep” before saying that she is the RAW Women’s Champion and she deserves “respect” before Alexa storms out of the ring. The winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble Match was in action on RAW as “The Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka would go one-on-one with Bayley. In the end, it was Asuka locking in the armbar, making Bayley tap out to pick up the win. After the match, both competitors would get to their feet before Asuka shows her respect for Bayley by offering her hand to her former rival with the two Superstars shaking hands after a grueling match. With two spots still remaining in the #1 Contender’s Elimination Chamber Match at WWE Elimination Chamber, Intercontinental Champion The Miz, with Bo Dallas in his corner, would go one-on-one with Apollo Crews, with Titus O’Neil & Dana Brooke in his corner, in a non-title Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match. Despite the best efforts of Apollo Crews, The Miz would persevere, hitting Crews with the Skull Crushing Finale and pinning Apollo to pick up the win as The Miz qualifies for the #1 Contender’s Elimination Chamber Match. With Jason Jordan getting pulled from the match due to a neck injury just moments earlier, Seth Rollins would find a last minute replacement as Seth would reunite with “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns as the former Shield brothers would challenge Cesaro & Sheamus for the RAW Tag Team Titles. During the match, Jason Jordan would make his way down to ringside to help Seth Rollins to his feet, enabling Seth to tag into the match. Shortly after this, Jason Jordan would get involved in the match behind the back of the referee, tripping Cesaro and nearly helping Seth win the match. However, Roman Reigns would take issue with Jason Jordan’s involvement and would scold Jason for his assistance. Shortly after this, Cesaro & Sheamus would try to walk out on the match but Jason Jordan would stand in the way of the champions before Jordan attacks Cesaro & Sheamus with right hands right in front of the referee, leaving the referee no choice but to disqualify Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns for Jason Jordan’s interference! This would leave both Seth and Roman furious with Jason Jordan. Backstage, Seth Rollins is still furious with Jason Jordan as Seth scolds Jason before Jason’s dad, Kurt Angle, steps in to try and diffuse the situation before Seth calls Jason a “selfish son of a bitch”. Kurt says that Jason is “legitimately hurt” before Rollins says that the only thing that he’s sorry about is that he didn’t legitimately hurt Jason Jordan himself. Seth then storms off before Kurt tells his son that he needs to go home and stay home until he’s medically cleared to compete again. Jason tries to argue but Kurt yells at his son to “go home” before Jason walks off. Nia Jax was in action on RAW as “The Irresistible Force” would face local competitor Vanessa Floyd. It was a dominant victory for Nia Jax as Nia would squash Vanessa Floyd with a big leg drop, pinning the local competitor to pick up the win. After the match, Nia Jax is interviewed about her upcoming match with Asuka at WWE Elimination Chamber as Nia says that she isn’t afraid of Asuka before saying that, when she’s done with Asuka, Asuka is going to have to wear her mask “permanently”. Nia then says that she is going to turn “The Empress of Tomorrow” into “The Empress of Yesterday” before Nia leaves the ring. Two of the six competitors in the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match for the RAW Women’s Title would go one-on-one on RAW as six-time former champion Mickie James would go one-on-one with Absolution’s Sonya Deville, with Paige & Mandy Rose in her corner. In the end, it was Mickie James surprising Sonya Deville with a roll-up to pick up the win. After the match, Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose would pounce on Mickie James, beating Mickie down as Paige shouts instructions. However, this is when Alexa Bliss would come down to ringside and actually pull Mickie to safety, helping Mickie to her feet as Mickie looks puzzlingly at the RAW Women’s Champion. Then it was time for the main event as, before they are three of the six participants in the #1 Contender’s Elimination Chamber Match in just under three weeks, Elias, sixteen-time former World Champion John Cena, and “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman would face off in a Triple Threat Match with the winner earning the advantage of getting to enter the Elimination Chamber Match as the final entrant! During the match, rivals John Cena and Elias would actually work together to try and take out the biggest threat in the match, Braun Strowman. Taking full advantage of the rules of the Triple Threat Match, Cena would blast Strowman with the steel steps before Elias grabs his guitar and smashes it over the back of “The Monster Among Men” before Cena manages to hoist Braun up and deliver the Attitude Adjustment to Strowman onto the steel steps on the outside! This would essentially take Braun Strowman out of the equation as Cena and Elias would battle back and forth before Braun abruptly returns to the ring, hitting Cena with the running powerslam. Braun then goes for the running powerslam on Elias as well, but Elias fights out of Strowman’s grasp before shoving Braun out of the ring and hastily pinning John Cena, quickly scoring the three-count as Elias wins the match and has earned the right to enter the Elimination Chamber last! However, there would be no time for celebration as Braun Strowman would pick Elias up and plant Elias with the running powerslam. “The Monster Among Men” then picks Cena up for a second running powerslam before Braun picks Elias up, giving Elias the same treatment by squashing Elias with a second running powerslam! At the behest of the crowd, Braun would have more punishment in store for Cena and Elias as Strowman hits a third running powerslam on Cena before Braun fetches Elias from the outside, bringing Elias back into the ring and planting Elias with another running powerslam. “The Monster Among Men” then finally leaves the ring, making it clear that, no matter what number he enters at in the Elimination Chamber Match, he will certainly be a force to be reckon with.
