WWE RAW Results: February 26, 2018By Cassidy| February 27, 2018 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results After emerging from the first ever Women’s Elimination Chamber Match still the RAW Women’s Champion at WWE Elimination Chamber, Alexa Bliss is accompanied by Mickie James as the champion kicks off RAW. Alexa says that she set a “new standard” at what it means to be RAW Women’s Champion, saying that she “changed the game” before saying that she’s not a “selfish person” and she likes to give credit where it’s due. Alexa then tells Mickie James that she knows that they’ve had a “rough friendship” but she has learned so much from Mickie and she knows that the other women in the locker room can learn a lot from Mickie as well. The champion then says that Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville have a “bright future” in WWE, but not while she is champion. Alexa continues, saying that Bayley is a “sad situation” before saying that she capitalized on Sasha Banks’ worst characteristic, her “massive ego”. Alexa then says that it’s just not Sasha’s year, saying that it’s her year and that is why she’s going to WrestleMania. The champion then vows to end the undefeated streak of Asuka at WrestleMania, saying that she cannot wait to “finish the job” that Nia Jax started at WWE Elimination Chamber. This brings Asuka down to the ring as “The Empress of Tomorrow” wastes no time in coming down to the ring to confront her WrestleMania opponent. Alexa tells Asuka that she watched Nia Jax “crush” Asuka at WWE Elimination Chamber, saying that Nia “deserves” to be in the title match at WrestleMania. Alexa then talks down to Asuka, talking slowly and loudly as she tells Asuka that she knows Asuka’s English isn’t very good before saying that Asuka better wipe the smile off of her face before Mickie does it for her. Nia Jax then joins the confrontation and, seeing what is about to happen, Asuka decides to try and even the odds by attacking Alexa and Mickie but Nia would still bulldoze Asuka in the ring. Picking up where she left off the night before, “The Irresistible Force” would look to finish her destruction of “The Empress of Tomorrow” but Asuka would battle back, locking in a submission on Nia Jax. However, Alexa Bliss and Mickie James are quick to break it up before Alexa and Mickie beat Asuka down. This brings Bayley and Sasha Banks out to make the save as Bayley and Sasha work together to take out Alexa and Mickie before Nia Jax levels both of them. Asuka then gets back in the fray, using her kicks to take Nia down to one knee but Alexa again intervenes, blasting her WrestleMania opponent with a stiff right hand. Alexa, Mickie, and Nia then leave the ring, regrouping on their way to the back. This would pave the way for a 6-Woman Tag Match as the team of Asuka, Bayley, and Sasha Banks would face RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, and Nia Jax in the opening match of the night. During the match, Bayley would pay Sasha Banks back for her betrayal at WWE Elimination Chamber by dropping off of the ring apron when Sasha tried to tag Bayley into the match! Sasha would instead tag in Asuka and, with Bayley taking Alexa Bliss out, Asuka would lock in a unique armbar/kneebar combination on Mickie James, making Mickie tap out to pick up the win for her fractured team. After coming up short in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match at WWE Elimination Chamber, sixteen-time former World Champion John Cena would make an appearance on RAW to address what he has planned for WrestleMania. Cena admits that he “failed” at WWE Elimination Chamber and he felt “demoralized” because failure is hard. Cena then says that a person’s character is put to the test when “your back is against the wall”, saying that he thought the Royal Rumble Match would prove him with a Road to WrestleMania but he “failed” and he thought the Elimination Chamber Match would pave his Road to WrestleMania but he “failed” again. Cena continues, saying that failure gives you two choices as you either “stay down” or you “get up” and he is up. Cena then says that he is fired up because he has “figured it out”, declaring that he needs to stand in this ring and do something that he should have done a “long time ago”. Cena then declares that he is issuing a WrestleMania challenge to The Undertaker! The crowd erupts at this proclamation before Cena says that, between the two of them, he and The Undertaker have competed at 39 WrestleManias but they have never faced each other on “The Grandest Stage of Them All”. Cena then says that him facing The Undertaker is WrestleMania before saying that the match is “not happening”, saying that he doesn’t make the matches. Cena continues, saying that he has been told that that match is not happening because that match is “impossible”. Cena then says that his Road to WrestleMania will run through SmackDown LIVE, saying that, as a free agent, he will go to SmackDown LIVE tomorrow night. Cena explains that he is not going to SmackDown LIVE to ask for a “handout”, he is going to SmackDown LIVE to do “whatever it takes” to earn a spot at WrestleMania. Cena then leaves the ring and heads to the back as the world is left wondering just what is in store for John Cena at WrestleMania. After being taken out of his game and defeated by “Woken” Matt Hardy at WWE Elimination Chamber, Bray Wyatt would be looking to get back on track in a one-on-one match with Heath Slater, with Rhyno in his corner. However, “The Eater of Worlds” would not let the match begin as Bray would knock Rhyno out of the ring before attacking Heath Slater. Rhyno would then come back in the ring only to get slammed down by Bray before the unhinged “Eater of Worlds” pummels Heath in the corner before dancing with Heath to the center of the ring, hitting Slater with Sister Abigail before hitting Rhyno with Sister Abigail as well. Bray then sits in the corner, blaming Matt Hardy for his actions, saying that “The Great War is far from over”. Bray then declares that Matt will face him again, but this time, he will make sure that Matt’s “woken eyes will stay shut”, concluding by saying that he’s “coming for” Matt Hardy, advising Matt to “run”. Intercontinental Champion The Miz, along with The Miztourage, would then make an appearance on RAW to discuss what awaits The Miz at WrestleMania. The Miz says that, in sixty-two days, he will become the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all-time before saying that his “star shines like a supernova”. The Miz then says that he doesn’t even have merchandise and he’s not even on any promotional material, saying that he should be facing Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title in the main event of WrestleMania. The Intercontinental Champion continues, saying that he was forced to start the Elimination Chamber Match with two Superstars, Finn Balor and Seth Rollins, who didn’t even deserve to be in the match. The Miz then says that he was “punished” for winning his Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match before saying that he is sick of being taken for granted and he is sick of the “disrespect”, saying that he knows that dream will “live on” at WrestleMania because he is the Intercontinental Champion. The Miz then says that the Intercontinental Title is the “most prestigious and honorable title in all of WWE” and, since he has this prestigious title, he walks into RAW General Manager Kurt Angle’s office to find out what he’s doing at WrestleMania. The Miz then says that Kurt informed him that there will be a match tonight that “might” determine who The Miz faces at WrestleMania. Outraged, The Miz says that he has “carried” RAW for the past year and he has made the Intercontinental Title “more relevant” than the Universal Title, shouting that he is The Miz and he has been there for twelve years. The Miz then vows to “give a beating” to whoever his opponent is tonight before calling his opponent out before “The Kingslayer” Seth Rollins comes out. After both men came up short in the Elimination Chamber Match one night earlier, “The Kingslayer” Seth Rollins would go one-on-one with Intercontinental Champion The Miz, with The Miztourage in his corner, in a non-title match. In the end, it was Seth Rollins scoring with the Revolution Knee before Rollins comes off of the top rope with an incredible frog splash, nearly flying all the way across the ring to land on The Miz, pinning the Intercontinental Champion for the win. After the match, Seth Rollins would be confronted and bewildered by the arrival of Finn Balor. Frustrated by Finn interrupting his moment, Seth Rollins would leave the ring. It is then revealed that RAW General Manager Kurt Angle had made another match for The Miz as the Intercontinental Champion would have to go one-on-one with Finn Balor! However, the match would barely get underway before The Miztourage would get involved, attacking Finn Balor to end the match by disqualification. The three-on-one beatdown would then be interrupted by Gallows & Anderson as Gallows & Anderson make the save for their Balor Club leader with Gallows & Anderson’s fight with The Miztourage spilling to the outside. This leaves Finn Balor all alone at the mercy of The Miz but, before The Miz can prey on Finn, Kurt Angle appears on the Tron. The GM says that he made a match between The Miz and Finn Balor before saying that The Miztourage as well as Gallows & Anderson will be ejected from ringside, saying that there “must be a winner” or else The Miz will not be going to WrestleMania. Referees then come out to eject Gallows & Anderson and The Miztourage from ringside before the rematch between The Miz and Finn Balor gets underway. In the end, it was Finn Balor coming off of the top rope with the Coup de Grace to The Miz, pinning the Intercontinental Champion to pick up the win, no doubt earning himself a future shot at the Intercontinental Championship. After the match, Seth Rollins is interviewed about what he has planned for WrestleMania with Seth declaring in no uncertain terms that he wants to face The Miz for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania! After emerging from the Elimination Chamber Match victorious to earn a rematch against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania, Roman Reigns would make his way to the ring for a face-off with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Roman says that, when he says that he can beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, he’s “telling the truth” before Reigns reveals that, despite a face-off between he and Brock being advertised, Brock Lesnar isn’t here tonight! Roman explains that something happened and Brock did not show up. Reigns is then quick to make things personal, calling Brock an “entitled piece of crap who hides behind his contract”, saying that they are six weeks away from WrestleMania and the Universal Champion isn’t even at the show. Reigns continues, saying that Lesnar was in Las Vegas last night but he wasn’t at WWE Elimination Chamber, saying that “The Beast” was out on the Las Vegas Strip taking pictures with UFC President Dana White on social media. Reigns then says that Brock doesn’t respect him, Brock doesn’t respect the fans, and Brock doesn’t respect anyone in the back. Roman then says that he is “sick of it”, saying that he and the rest of the roster compete around the world every night while Brock just shows up whenever he wants to when the money is right or when the city is right. Roman continues, saying that he doesn’t care how many people show up or how big the town is, he will be there because he said he will be there. Reigns then says that Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman will come out there and say that they are “businessmen” before saying that he was “born in this business” and he was taught at an early age that there is a “fine line between business and respect”. Roman then says that he doesn’t “respect” Brock Lesnar and he “damn sure don’t fear that bitch”. Reigns then says that he’s going to go to the back and take his “ass-chewing” because, unlike some people, he actually loves and respects this place. “The Big Dog” does just that, marching to the back, having pulled no punches when saying that he thinks about Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. In a rematch from WWE Elimination Chamber, Titus Worldwide, with Dana Brooke in their corner, would challenge Cesaro & Sheamus for the RAW Tag Team Titles in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match. The champions would waste no time in gaining the early advantage as Cesaro would distract Titus O’Neil long enough for Sheamus to catch Titus off-guard with the Brogue Kick as Sheamus pins Titus to score the first fall! Later on in the chaotic match, Cesaro & Sheamus would hit their double team White Noise on Apollo with Cesaro pinning Apollo to score the second fall and successfully retain the RAW Tag Team Titles. After the match, Cesaro & Sheamus would be interviewed about their victory with the RAW Tag Team Champions crowing about their dominance before Sheamus asks, “who is there to face if there’s no one left to beat?” before the team declares that they just don’t “set the bar”, they “are the bar”. The 2018 recipient of the Warrior Award was revealed during RAW as Jarrius “JJ” Robertson, a heroic child who overcame liver disease despite being in a coma for over a year, ultimately sparking the “It Takes Lives To Save Lives” movement. The fifteen-year old will be honored with the Warrior Award at the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on April 6 in New Orleans. The rivalry would continue between Braun Strowman and Elias on RAW as Elias would go one-on-one with “The Monster Among Men” on RAW. During the match, the battle would spill to the outside of the ring before Elias looked as though was trying to hide under the ring but, when Braun Strowman pulled Elias out from under the ring, Elias would spray a fire extinguisher in the face of “The Monster Among Men”, ending the match by disqualification! Elias would then send Strowman into the ring post before rolling Braun into the ring where Elias delivers a shot to the blinded big man’s mid-section with the fire extinguisher. Braun then fights back, sending Elias out of the ring before Strowman is able to regain enough of his sight to chase after Elias. Braun would catch up to Elias on the stage, knocking Elias down before picking Elias up. However, just as Braun is about to put Elias through the announce table, Elias rakes the eyes of Strowman before Elias quickly flees the scene. The partially blinded Strowman would chase after Elias into the backstage area but Elias would elude Braun in the parking lot with Strowman screaming “I’m not finished with you” as limo pulls into the arena. After the contract signing with Ronda Rousey turned into a tense confrontation that led to Rousey putting Triple H through a table and getting slapped by Stephanie McMahon, RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and her husband, WWE COO Triple H, would make an appearance on RAW. Stephanie says that the contract signing went “horribly wrong”, saying that Kurt Angle was “hallucinating” and started saying things that didn’t make sense, saying that Kurt has “double pneumonia”. The Commissioner then says that Rousey took “action” that may be appropriate in the UFC, but not in WWE. Stephanie continues, saying that Ronda reacted out of “savage instinct” before saying that she had “speak her language” and that is why she had to get physical with Rousey. The Commissioner then says that, by signing her RAW contract, Ronda Rousey now reports to her, saying that WWE “owns” Ronda Rousey. Stephanie then says that she needs to call the involved parties out there so they can establish that everyone “knows their place” and they can move on towards WrestleMania. The RAW Commissioner first calls RAW General Manager Kurt Angle out to the ring but Stephanie doesn’t get Kurt. Instead, “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey makes a beeline for the ring, sending Triple H & Stephanie fleeing from the ring. Kurt Angle then hurries down to the ring to confront Ronda Rousey, telling Rousey that coming to WWE was the “best decision” she ever made. Rousey says that she meant what she said last night, saying that she wants this more than anything. Ronda then says that she has never been slapped before in her life, looking at Stephanie as she says that she will not be “disrespected” and she is “no one’s property”. Kurt tells Rousey that she needs to “work within the system”, saying that he needs this job before saying that he “lied” last night. As Triple H & Stephanie cautiously get back in the ring, Kurt says that he doesn’t even remember what he said last night but what he said was not true, apologizing for what he said. Stephanie then offers to put this all behind them and focus on making Ronda Rousey the Superstar that she deserves to be. Triple H & Stephanie then start to leave the ring, but Rousey was not through, saying that they’ve addressed everything except for Stephanie slapping her and, if they’re going to move forward, then Stephanie needs to apologize to her! Ronda then says that, if Stephanie does not apologize, she will not hesitate to rip Stephanie’s arm out of its socket! Stephanie then gets in Rousey’s face before actually apologizing to Ronda, saying that it was the “wrong thing to do”, saying she’s sorry again before the power couple starts to leave the ring again but, this time, Triple H comes back into the ring to deck Kurt Angle with a cheap shot, knocking the GM down! Triple H & Stephanie then head up the ramp as Ronda Rousey checks on the fallen Kurt Angle, helping the GM to his feet. What did you think of this week’s RAW? Post your comments in the box below.
