WWE RAW Results: December 11, 2017By Cassidy| December 13, 2017 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results After getting involved in the no disqualification match for the RAW Tag Team Titles on last week’s RAW, where he ultimately cost Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins the titles, Samoa Joe would kick off RAW. Joe says that The Shield is one of the most “dominant” groups in WWE history before saying that he’s seen The Shield up close and he’s “not impressed”. Joe then says that, on his first night on RAW, he injured Seth Rollins before saying that Dean Ambrose has done everything in his power to avoid him. Joe then says that he’s certainly not impressed with Roman Reigns, who he’s put to sleep on multiple occasions. Joe continues, saying that he knows that he has a match with Dean Ambrose later tonight, but he’s got unfinished business with Roman Reigns, saying that he wants Roman to come out there alone and face him right now. As he waits for the Intercontinental Champion, Samoa Joe says that he doesn’t need Cesaro & Sheamus and he doesn’t care about Dean Ambrose or Seth Rollins before saying that Roman would be “nothing” without The Shield. Roman Reigns then comes out to the stage before the Intercontinental Champion makes a beeline for the ring as a brawl breaks out between Reigns and Joe. This brings out the RAW Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus, who help beat down Roman before Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch on the Intercontinental Champion. Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins then come to the aid of Roman Reigns but Samoa Joe and Cesaro & Sheamus are able to isolate Seth Rollins before Cesaro & Sheamus hits the double team White Noise on Rollins. Dean Ambrose then crawls back into the ring only to succumb to the numbers game as Dean gets beat down before Samoa Joe plants Ambrose with the uranage. Samoa Joe and Cesaro & Sheamus then stand tall over the fallen Shield before leaving the ring, having made their statement. After Paige utilized interference from her Absolution allies Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville to defeat Sasha Banks on last week’s RAW, the opening match of the night would see two other victims of Absolution, Bayley & Mickie James, with Sasha Banks in their corner, face Absolution’s Paige & Mandy Rose, with Sonya Deville in their corner. During the match, chaos would ensue and Absolution would use that to their advantage as Paige catches Mickie James with a kick to the head behind the referee’s back, allowing Mandy Rose to pin Mickie James to pick up the win for herself and Paige. Following the introduction of “Woken” Matt Hardy last week, a similar scene would play out on this week’s RAW with Bray Wyatt appearing on the Tron. Bray would say that this is nothing new because it has always been “darkness versus light” and “good versus evil”, saying that it is his “favorite game”. Matt Hardy then interrupts, saying that the “great war” has perpetuated for “eons” and now it has arrived in WWE. Bray responds, saying that Matt is now “Woken” and that Matt is the “yin” to his “yang”, saying that he has been “waiting” for Matt. Matt then says that his “woken wisdom” will illuminate the masses before Bray says that Matt’s words mean “nothing”. Matt responds by saying that the soul of the fabled Sister Abigail has existed for “centuries”, saying that he and Abigail have crossed paths before but she contracted an “addiction to the darkness” and she was consumed by “evil”. Bray then says that Matt is a “jester” while he is a “king”, telling everyone to choose wisely because only “one of us” can survive. Matt responds by saying that the “woken warriors” are preparing for battle against the “Wyatt swarm” and they shall “delete” before Bray and Matt exchange their maniacal laughter once again. After defeating Bo Dallas last week, Finn Balor would face the other half of The Miztourage on RAW as Finn would go one-on-one with Curtis Axel, with Bo Dallas in his corner. Before the match can begin, The Miztourage would beat Finn Balor down but, despite the beatdown, Finn would insist on competing in the scheduled match. Despite the pre-match beatdown, Finn Balor would still get the better of Curtis Axel, hitting Axel with the Coup de Grace, pinning Axel for the win. Following a run-in with Samoa Joe and Cesaro & Sheamus earlier in the night, The Shield’s Seth Rollins would go one-on-one with one-half of the RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus with everyone banned from ringside. Throughout the match, Sheamus would target the left knee of Seth Rollins, which would plague Seth but the gutsy Rollins would manage to connect with the Knee, pinning Sheamus to pick up the win. In a “Second Chance” Fatal 4-Way Match, Drew Gulak would be a guest on commentary as Cedric Alexander, Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, and Mustafa Ali would compete with the winner facing Drew Gulak in a #1 Contender’s Match next week with a future Cruiserweight Title match on the line. At the end of a chaotic match, it was Cedric Alexander connecting with the Lumbar Check to Ariya Daivari, pinning Daivari to win the “Second Chance” Fatal 4-Way Match as Cedric Alexander will face Drew Gulak next week on RAW to determine the #1 Contender for Enzo Amore’s Cruiserweight Championship. The Intercontinental Championship would then be defended on RAW as Roman Reigns would defend the prestigious Intercontinental Title against one-half of the RAW Tag Team Champions Cesaro with allies of both Superstars banned from ringside. Throughout the match, Cesaro would mercilessly target the right arm of Roman Reigns, severely hindering the Intercontinental Champion and nearly putting Reigns away on multiple occasions. However, Roman would somehow manage to persevere, connecting with the Spear and pinning Cesaro to successfully retain the Intercontinental Title. “The Empress of Tomorrow” was set for action on RAW as Asuka was scheduled to go one-on-one with Alicia Fox in a rematch from last week. However, similar to a couple of weeks ago with Bayley & Mickie James, Alicia Fox would not show up. Instead, Absolution comes out, showing their handiwork on the Tron as the reason for Alicia’s absence. Paige says that Asuka is kind of “getting in the way” and they have successfully “eradicated” every woman of consequence on RAW. Paige then says that not even Asuka can stop Absolution, saying that Asuka can either “get out of the way” or they will make her move out of the way. Absolution then gets on the ring apron but Asuka doesn’t back down, taking out Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville before locking in the armbar on Paige. However, Mandy & Sonya make the save for their leader as the numbers game overwhelms “The Empress of Tomorrow” but, just as Paige is about to plant Asuka with the Ram Paige, the RAW women’s division comes to the aid of Asuka as Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James, Nia Jax, Dana Brooke, Alicia Fox, and even RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss rush to the ring, resulting in a huge brawl among the women’s division. Mandy Rose then finds herself all alone with the eight women, getting bulldozed by Nia Jax before Paige & Sonya pull Mandy out of the ring to safety. In a first time ever collision, The Shield’s Dean Ambrose would go one-on-one with Samoa Joe for the first time ever on RAW. Moments after the match begins, Kurt Angle’s son Jason Jordan would come out to the stage with a steel chair, taking a seat on the stage. During the match, both Dean Ambrose and Samoa Joe would find themselves down on the outside and this is when Jason Jordan would make his way down to ringside. Jason would pick Dean Ambrose up and roll him back into the ring before Samoa Joe pounces on Jordan, locking in the Coquina Clutch. However, Dean Ambrose would then take flight, diving to the outside to take out both Samoa Joe and Jason Jordan! The action then returns to the ring with Ambrose hitting an elbow drop on Samoa Joe but Jason Jordan would get on the ring apron, temporarily distracting the referee which would give Joe time to kick out. Infuriated over Jason Jordan’s involvement, Dean Ambrose would confront Jason Jordan on the outside before Samoa Joe dives to the outside, taking out both Ambrose and Jordan. Joe then hits a senton on Jason Jordan before heading back into the ring, locking in the Coquina Clutch on Dean Ambrose and, while “The Lunatic Fringe” did not tap out, he would pass out as Joe picks up the win by submission. Then it was time for the monstrous main event as “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman would collide with “The Big Red Machine” Kane with the winner challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble next month! After two chokeslams from Kane would fail to put Braun Strowman away, the battle would spill to the outside where the two monsters would fight into the crowd before Braun charges at Kane, sending both men crashing through the barricade! The referee then reaches his ten-count as the match ends in a double count-out. Both competitors then get to their feet before they both grab their own steel steps before hitting each other with their respective steps with Braun staying on his feet. Braun then rolls Kane back into the ring before Strowman slides a table into the ring but Kane exits the ring to grab a steel chair, using the chair on the leg of Braun. Kane then delivers a series of chair shots to the back of “The Monster Among Men” before delivering chair shots to the throat of Strowman. Kane then sets a table up in the ring before Braun charges at Kane, resulting in both monsters taking the other down. Kane then sits up, staring at Braun Strowman, who also sits up, putting fear into Kane. Kane then tries to chokeslam Braun through the table but Strowman overpowers “The Big Red Machine”, picking Kane up and driving Kane through the table with a thunderous running powerslam! “The Monster Among Men” then stands tall in the ring, lording over his destruction of Kane but still leaving the unanswered question of who will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble?
