WWE RAW Results: July 3, 2017By Cassidy| July 4, 2017 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results Before he goes one-on-one with his former best friend and former tag team partner Big Cass this Sunday at Great Balls of Fire, RAW kicks off with Enzo Amore. Enzo says that he has been “beaten” and “disrespected” for the past year all while Big Cass had his back. Enzo then says that, for five years, Big Cass stood behind him and “watched” before saying that he’s been “knocked out cold” on pay-per-view before saying that he is one on the “toughest guys” to step into the ring in a long, long time. Enzo continues, saying that he is “confident” in his abilities and who he is, saying that he is a “real one” and his father raised him to be a “good man”. Enzo then says that he is “grateful” for the fans that support him and he has a “belief” in himself that you “just can’t teach”. Enzo then says that he’s going right to the “top” and he’s climbed out of “holes way taller than seven feet” before calling Big Cass a “seven-foot catchphrase that I wrote”! Enzo continues, saying that Big Cass shouldn’t be surprised when his merchandise check has “zero dimes” unless he gets a shirt that says “Cass hole”. Enzo then says that he and Big Cass were “brothers” and he is now an “army of one” and it’s “all eyes on me”. Backstage, Big Cass is being interviewed about what Enzo Amore just had to say, commenting that Enzo talked for a long time and said “absolutely nothing.” However, this is when Cass is jumped from behind by Enzo! Enzo would take it to his former “brother” before referees step in to break it up. After making the dominant Nia Jax tap out in a Gauntlet Match last week to earn herself a match for the RAW Women’s Title at Great Balls of Fire this Sunday night, “The Boss” Sasha Banks would team with her longtime friend Bayley to face RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and the powerhouse Nia Jax. Early on in the match, Nia Jax would take over in the match before taking her anger out on Bayley on the outside, smashing the head of Bayley between her knee and the barricade, taking Bayley out of the match and leaving Sasha Banks in a two-on-one situation as referees help Bayley to the back. After knocking Nia Jax off of the ring apron, Sasha Banks was quick to lock in the Bank Statement, making the RAW Women’s Champion tap out as “The Boss” picks up an improbable win heading into her title match this Sunday. Backstage, Braun Strowman confronts RAW General Manager Kurt Angle as “The Monster Among Men” says that Roman Reigns isn’t in the arena tonight and he doesn’t think Roman is going to show up for their Ambulance Match at Great Balls of Fire this Sunday. Braun then asks for competition tonight with the GM saying that he doesn’t know of anyone who would want to face Strowman so close to Great Balls of Fire. Putting a massive hand on Kurt’s shoulder, Braun tells Angle that he’s going out to the ring for competition later tonight, telling Kurt that he’ll figure something out. The Cruiserweights were in action on RAW as Cedric Alexander would go one-on-one with Noam Dar, with Alicia Fox returning to his corner sporting a neck brace. During the match, Alicia Fox would get on the ring apron to try and cost Cedric Alexander the match, but Cedric was prepared as Alexander hits the Lumbar Check, pinning Noam Dar for the win much to the chagrin of Alicia Fox. After a controversial and much-publicized edition of Miz TV last week with the Ball family, Intercontinental Champion The Miz, his wife Maryse, and his Miztourage of Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel would appear on RAW for another edition of Miz TV. The Miz says he exposed the Ball family for what they truly are last week as being “overhyped” and “soon-to-be forgotten”, saying Lonzo Ball will be the “biggest bust in NBA history”. The Miz continues, saying that he knows “talent” and that is why he made Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel his Miztourage. The Intercontinental Champion then says that the only thing that Dean Ambrose represents is “wasted potential” before saying that, when Ambrose debuted in WWE, they all saw Ambrose’s “unorthodox charisma”. The Miz then says that Dean was touted as the next “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, but instead we got “whacky” Dean Ambrose who would rather tell a “joke”. The Miz continues, saying that Dean Ambrose “can’t handle success” before saying that Ambrose “caved under the pressure” every time he was a main eventer. The Miz then says that Ambrose cannot make the Intercontinental Championship “relevant” because that is his job, saying that the “biggest joke of them all” will be Dean Ambrose. This brings Dean Ambrose out to the stage, saying that he doesn’t care if The Miz has two bodyguards before saying that The Miz knows that he wants his rematch for the Intercontinental Title. Ambrose then says that it would be “hilarious” if they had that rematch right here, right now. As Ambrose makes his way towards the ring, he’s halted by the arrival of Heath Slater & Rhyno as Slater says that he was the last man to beat The Miz in the ring. Heath then says that he’s never had a shot at the Intercontinental Championship or any singles championship in the eight years he’s been in WWE. Slater continues, saying that he’s got kids and he’s sick and tired of telling his kids that he’s “got this” but, in reality, he doesn’t know if he does. Heath then says that he “needs this opportunity” but Dean Ambrose denies Heath Slater, telling Heath to go to the “back of the line”. The Miz says that Dean Ambrose will get his rematch when he decides Ambrose will get his rematch before telling Heath Slater that everyone in West Virginia must be so excited to see an Intercontinental Title match but it’s not going to happen. The Miz then says that they’ve got a Fourth of July party to attend in Los Angeles before the Intercontinental Champion is interrupted by Kurt Angle. The GM says that The Miz doesn’t get to pick when he competes, that’s the General Manager’s job. The Miz fires back, telling Angle that the GM should go back to talking to Corey Graves about his “personal problems” and stay out of his business! Angle warns The Miz to watch his mouth, but The Miz says that he’s Kurt’s “big box office draw” before saying that he will do Kurt a “favor” by defending his Intercontinental Title this Sunday at Great Balls of Fire. The Miz then leaves the decision up to the GM on whether he will face Heath Slater or Dean Ambrose. Kurt then decides that The Miz will defend the gold against both men, ruling that Dean Ambrose will get his rematch for the Intercontinental Title at Great Balls of Fire this Sunday while Heath Slater will get his title match right now! Despite The Miz having to compete in his dress clothes, The Miz, with his wife Maryse and the Miztourage in his corner, would be forced to defend the Intercontinental Championship against Heath Slater, with Rhyno in his corner, with Dean Ambrose a guest on commentary. During the match, Rhyno would pull Curtis Axel off of the ring apron, but Bo Dallas would get involved and Rhyno would get beatdown by the Miztourage on the outside. This would draw the attention of Heath Slater and The Miz would take advantage, hitting the Skull Crushing Finale and pinning Slater to successfully retain the Intercontinental Title. After the match, the Miztourage would look to beatdown Heath Slater as well before Dean Ambrose makes the save. However, Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel would overwhelm “The Lunatic Fringe” before The Miz plants Ambrose with the Skull Crushing Finale in the center of the ring. The Miz and his Miztourage then stand tall over the fallen Dean Ambrose. Goldust would then appear on RAW as “The Bizarre One” is seated in a director’s chair in the ring. Goldust would introduce his latest film, “The Shattered Truth”, which depicts Goldust’s beatdown of R-Truth last week from the perspective of Goldust’s personal camera man. After the film is concluded, R-Truth would be standing behind Goldust eating popcorn as Truth would attack “The Bizarre One”, sending Goldust shoulder-first into the ring post before Goldust retreats. With a match against Bray Wyatt coming up this Sunday at Great Balls of Fire, the cover Superstar of WWE 2K18 was in action on RAW as Seth Rollins would go one-on-one with Curt Hawkins. It was a quick win for “The Kingslayer” as Seth Rollins would hit Curt Hawkins with the Rainmaker Knee, pinning Hawkins for the win. After the match, Seth Rollins would address Bray Wyatt, saying that he and the fans don’t need to be “saved” as his mistakes make him the man that he is today. Seth then says that, this Sunday, there will be a “cleansing” and it will be of Bray Wyatt’s “mystique” when he proves that Bray is “not a god” before asking if Wyatt is a “man” or just a “coward”. With their showdown for the Universal Championship just six nights away at Great Balls of Fire, Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, along with his advocate Paul Heyman, and #1 Contender Samoa Joe would sit down in separate rooms for an exclusive interview. However, Samoa Joe is quick to say that he has no interest in answering any questions, saying that he’s been doing nothing but making “statements” since becoming the #1 Contender. Joe then says that he has a few “questions” of his own before addressing Paul Heyman. However, Brock Lesnar interrupts, saying that he is Joe’s opponent this Sunday, not Paul Heyman. Brock then tells Joe that he’s the champ and Joe is not and, this Sunday, he walks out as the champion and Joe gets “nothing”. Joe fires back, saying that he’s been taking it to Brock every week while Lesnar has done “nothing” and the Universal Champion responds by calling Joe a “coward”. Samoa Joe then says that he’s been looking for Brock every week with “The Beast” commenting that he’s the champion so everybody is looking for him. Joe then dares Lesnar to “do this for real” before saying that they are keeping them separated for Brock’s “protection”. Lesnar says that Joe isn’t going to get under his skin because he’s been in Joe’s position before, saying that he’s beaten The Rock, John Cena, Triple H, and countless others and he understands what Joe is trying to do. Undaunted, Joe says that he’s been “choking out the best for twenty years”, namedropping Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins before saying that Brock Lesnar is next. Lesnar & Heyman just laugh in Joe’s face, which fires up “The Destroyer” as Joe takes off his microphone and rips out his earpiece before storming out of the room! Heyman tells his client that he thinks that Joe is coming for him with Brock calmly shrugging his shoulders and saying, “come find me, Joe”. Samoa Joe sets out to do just that as the #1 Contender scours the backstage area, screaming for Brock Lesnar to come out and fight him with agents and referees doing their best to try and stop “The Destroyer” to no avail while Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman calmly stay seated and wait for Joe to show up. The #1 Contender then runs into Kurt Angle and a team of security guards before “The Destroyer” finds the room that Lesnar & Heyman were waiting in! Joe opens the door but the security guards are quick to jump on the #1 Contender, restraining Samoa Joe and dragging Joe out of the arena as Brock Lesnar continues to taunt his Great Balls of Fire opponent. Before he defends the Cruiserweight Title against Akira Tozawa on the Great Balls of Fire Kickoff, the Cruiserweight Champion was in action on RAW as Neville would face Mustafa Ali in a non-title match. During the match, Mustafa Ali would spike Neville with a vicious DDT and this would send “The King of the Cruiserweights” into a methodical rage as the Cruiserweight Champion would systematically beat Mustafa Ali down. While Ali would try to battle back, Neville’s ferocity could not be stopped as Neville locks in the Rings of Saturn, making Ali tap out to pick up the win. “The Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt then appears in the middle of the Arizona desert as Bray says that no one should have to “bow down to the light”. Bray then says that, ever since he came to RAW, best friends have become “sworn enemies”, brotherhoods have “cracked drier” than the wasteland he stands in right now, and “The Beast” has become a mere “mortal” and it is because he “made it that way”. Bray continues, telling Seth Rollins that he is the “wrath” that consumes him and, this Sunday, Seth will look into the “eyes of a god” and Rollins will see, but “it will burn”. Before he and Sheamus defend the RAW Tag Team Titles against The Hardy Boyz in a 30-Minute Iron Man Match at Great Balls of Fire this Sunday night, one-half of the RAW Tag Team Champions Cesaro, with Sheamus in his corner, would go one-on-one with the man who pinned him in 6-Man Tag action last week, “The Demon King” Finn Balor, with The Hardy Boyz guests on commentary. During the match, Finn Balor was close to putting Cesaro away before Elias Samson would come down to ringside, playing the guitar. This would draw the attention of Finn Balor, but Balor would stay alive in the match, sending Cesaro to the outside. However, with Sheamus distracting the referee, Elias Samson would trip Finn Balor and, having seen enough, The Hardy Boyz would make their way down to ringside, sparking a brawl between the four men. Finn then dives to the outside, taking out Cesaro & Sheamus as well as The Hardy Boyz and Elias Samson! Samson then sets his sights on Finn Balor but Matt Hardy intervenes, hitting a Twist of Fate to Elias on the floor! Sheamus then takes Matt out with the Brogue Kick before Jeff Hardy takes flight, taking out Sheamus. Cesaro then levels Jeff with a European uppercut before Finn Balor takes Cesaro down with a dropkick. Balor then brings Cesaro back into the ring, hitting the Coup de Grace and pinning the RAW Tag Team Champion for the win. With an ambulance parked next to the stage, Braun Strowman would make good on his promise to Kurt Angle as, six nights before he faces Roman Reigns in an Ambulance Match at Great Balls of Fire, “The Monster Among Men” would march to the ring in search of competition. Braun says that there are few things he enjoys more in life than destroying Roman Reigns, saying that he nearly put Reigns through an ambulance last week. Strowman then vows that Roman Reigns will leave in an ambulance this Sunday night before demanding that Kurt Angle send out whoever the GM has selected to face him. This brings Titus O’Neil out to the stage as Titus says that Braun is a “big man with a plan” before saying that tonight is going to be a Titus Worldwide special event before introducing his client Apollo Crews. Answering the call of Braun Strowman, Apollo Crews, with Titus O’Neil in his corner, would have the unenviable task of going one-on-one with “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman. With the encouragement of Titus O’Neil, Apollo Crews would manage to take Braun Strowman off of his feet, but when Apollo goes for his standing moonsault, Braun would kick Crews halfway across the ring! Strowman then plants Apollo with his running powerslam, but decides to pick Crews up a second time, hitting a second running powerslam. Braun then picks Apollo up and delivers a third running powerslam, finally pinning Crews to pick up an impressive victory. After the match, Strowman would look to further hurt Apollo but Titus O’Neil would step up to protect his client. Titus would get in the ring, going toe-to-toe with “The Monster Among Men” but even Titus O’Neil would not make a dent in Braun Strowman as Braun knocks Titus down before planting Titus with a running powerslam. Braun then pulls Apollo Crews out of the ring, carrying Apollo all the way to the ambulance parked by the stage, tossing Crews into the ambulance and shutting the doors. Braun then slaps the ambulance, which usually signals to the driver to drive away, but the ambulance does not budge. Perplexed, Strowman goes around to the driver’s side of the ambulance, but when Braun opens the driver’s door, Roman Reigns explodes out of the ambulance with a right hand to Strowman! However, Braun would get the better of “The Big Dog”, tossing Roman onto the stage before Reigns fights back, sending Braun into the LED screens. Reigns then sizes Braun Strowman up before delivering a Spear to “The Monster Among Men” then sends both men soaring off of the stage through a table and to the concrete below! Despite this, Braun Strowman is the first man to his feet, using the ambulance to stay standing as Roman climbs onto the stage, having shown his determination to do whatever it takes to take Braun Strowman out in their Ambulance Match at Great Balls of Fire this Sunday.
