WWE RAW Results: May 29, 2017By Cassidy| May 30, 2017 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results Before he challenges Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship at Extreme Rules in a match where, if Dean Ambrose is disqualified, he will lose the Intercontinental Title, RAW kicks off with “The A-Lister” The Miz and his wife Maryse as the self-proclaimed “it couple” hosts Miz TV. The Miz says that, this Sunday at Extreme Rules, he gets his hands on Dean Ambrose, calling Ambrose a “thief” that stole his Intercontinental Title. The Miz then says that Ambrose got himself intentionally disqualified a couple of weeks ago to keep the title and that is why he demanded a rematch with the stipulation that will see Ambrose lose the title if he gets disqualified. The Miz continues, saying that, if Ambrose gets himself disqualified at Extreme Rules, he will become the Intercontinental Champion for a seventh time. The Miz then introduces his guests on Miz TV, bringing out the #1 Contenders for the RAW Tag Team Titles Cesaro & Sheamus, who will challenge The Hardy Boyz for the RAW Tag Team Titles in a Steel Cage Match this Sunday at Extreme Rules. The Miz says that Cesaro & Sheamus earned their big moment at WrestleMania only for The Hardy Boyz to show up unannounced and “steal” their spotlight. Sheamus says that the fans turned their backs on Cesaro once The Hardy Boyz showed up, saying that the fans are “fickle” and they are going to win back the RAW Tag Team Titles this Sunday. The Miz then says that the fans don’t understand the “greatness” that is in the ring right now before saying that he made the Intercontinental Championship “something” and saying that the Intercontinental Title needs a “comeback”. Miz TV is then crashed by The Miz’s Extreme Rules opponent as Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose makes his way down to ringside. However, seeing that the odds are against him in the ring, the Intercontinental Champion says that it looks like someone needs to shut the mouths of The Miz and Cesaro & Sheamus. Ambrose then says that there’s one thing he’s not and that is “stupid”. This brings out The Hardy Boyz as the champions rush the ring with The Miz quick to retreat as Ambrose and The Hardy Boyz get the better of Cesaro & Sheamus, sending the team packing from the ring. After Miz TV descended into chaos, an impromptu match was made on RAW involving those who started the chaos as Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose would join forces with RAW Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz to face The Miz and Cesaro & Sheamus, with Maryse in their corner, in a 6-Man Tag match. At the end of a wild match, it was Matt Hardy hitting The Miz with the Twist of Fate before tagging in his brother Jeff, who hits the Swanton Bomb and pins The Miz for the win. After the match, Dean Ambrose and The Hardy Boyz celebrate their victory before the commentary team discusses Extreme Rules, but Corey Graves is visibly distracted by something on his phone. Corey then says “sorry” to Michael Cole and Booker T before abruptly leaving the announce position. Backstage, RAW General Manager Kurt Angle is looking at his phone with a troubled look on his face as Corey Graves enters his office. The GM reads from Corey’s phone as someone has apparently called Angle an “embarrassment to WWE” and claims that Angle has “besmirched” his status as an Olympic gold medalist. Apparently being the individual responsible for showing the message to the GM, Corey says that nobody is a bigger supporter of Kurt Angle than he is and he’d hate for anything to throw a wrench into how Kurt’s been running RAW. Graves then says that he just wanted to give the GM a heads up with the information that he has, offering to help in any way that he can. Angle then says that, if what he read is true, then it could “ruin” him. Kurt then hands the phone back to Corey before Corey leaves the office, leaving Kurt extremely troubled. After serenading the fans in Greenville, “The Drifter” was in action on RAW as Elias Samson would face local competitor Zac Evans. Elias Samson would dominate the local competitor, hitting the swinging neckbreaker and pinning Zac Evans for the win. Six nights before they are a part of the Fatal 5-Way Extreme Rules Match to decide the #1 Contender for the Universal Title at Extreme Rules, “The Demon King” Finn Balor, “The Destroyer” Samoa Joe, and “The Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt would face off in a Triple Threat Match on RAW. At the end of a chaotic match, Finn Balor would hit the Coup de Grace on Bray Wyatt, but Samoa Joe would toss Finn Balor into the ring post before jumping on the pinfall himself, stealing the victory from Finn Balor as Samoa Joe wins the Triple Threat Match. Before he joins forces with Sasha Banks to face Noam Dar & Alicia Fox at Extreme Rules, Rich Swann, with Sasha Banks in his corner, would go one-on-one with Noam Dar, with Alicia Fox in his corner. During the match, Alicia Fox would get on the ring apron to try and cause a distraction, but Sasha Banks would pull Alicia Fox off of the ring apron before sending Alicia back-first into the apron. Meanwhile, Rich Swann would score with the Phoenix Splash, pinning Noam Dar for the win. After mentioning that Big Cass surely saw the footage of The Revival being backstage at RAW last week following the mysterious attack on Enzo Amore, commentator Corey Graves would be confronted by Big Cass at the announce position. Corey insists that he just meant that Big Cass was doing his own in-depth investigation into the attack on his tag team partner with Big Cass accepting this explanation, shaking the hand of Graves before leaving. After Titus O’Neil inadvertently cost Apollo Crews his match against Kalisto last week, Titus O’Neil, with Apollo Crews in his corner, would go one-on-one with Kalisto on RAW. During the match, Kalisto would go for a roll-up, but Titus O’Neil would sit down on the attempt, hooking the tights for the illegal advantage to pick up the win. Before she defends the RAW Women’s Title against Bayley in a Kendo Stick on a Pole Match this Sunday at Extreme Rules, RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss would make an appearance on RAW to present “This Is Your Life, Bayley”. Alexa scoffs at the idea of Bayley using the kendo stick as a weapon before saying that she dug deep into Bayley’s past. The champion then shows off her table full of Bayley’s belongings from her childhood, including her first doll and a sportsmanship trophy. Alexa then takes a look at Bayley’s yearbook, reading that Bayley was voted “most likely to apologize”. Alexa then introduces Bayley’s fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Flapper, who says that Bayley always sat in the front row of her class right next to her father. The teacher then says that Bayley would cry when she was away from her father for too long, a fact which the RAW Women’s Champion mocks. Alexa Bliss then introduces Bayley’s childhood best friend, Tracy Havalina, who says that Bayley would do everyone else’s homework and would take the blame for things that other people did. Tracy then says that her and Bayley were inseparable until Bayley decided to watch RAW and SmackDown instead of hanging out with her. The champion then introduces Bayley’s ex-boyfriend Phil Johnson, who says that Bayley was a very “nice girl”. Alexa then asks Phil about his first date with Bayley as Phil says that Bayley had to bring her father with her on every date. Phil then reveals that he only dated Bayley in an attempt to get closer to Bayley’s best friend Tracy. Tracy responds by saying that she always liked Phil before Phil kisses Tracy. This brings Bayley out to the ring as Bayley attacks the RAW Women’s Champion, suplexing Alexa Bliss before setting her sights on the kendo stick hanging on a pole in the corner. However, the RAW Women’s Champion pulls Bayley off of the second turnbuckle before pulling a kendo stick out from under the table in the ring, delivering a kendo stick shot to the back of Bayley, sending Bayley out of the ring. Backstage, EMT’s and referees are checking on a downed Enzo Amore, who was the victim of another apparent attack on him in the backstage area. Big Cass then arrives on the scene to check on his tag team partner before RAW General Manager Kurt Angle also arrives on the scene. Certain that it was The Revival who attacked Enzo again this week, Big Cass demands to know where The Revival is at. The GM says that he personally saw The Revival leave the arena, but Big Cass isn’t buying it. The big man tells Angle that, for two weeks in a row, Enzo was attacked backstage and, for two weeks in a row, The Revival was backstage when it happened. Kurt says that Big Cass needs to calm down, saying that he will find out who attacked Enzo. However, Cass refuses, saying that he’s never leaving Enzo’s side again before turning back to check on his tag team partner. With his third shot at the Cruiserweight Championship coming up this Sunday at Extreme Rules in a Submission Match against Neville, “A-Double” Austin Aries would team with “Gentleman” Jack Gallagher to face Cruiserweight Champion Neville and his protégé TJP in tag team action. In the end, it was Austin Aries locking in the Last Chancery on Neville, making the Cruiserweight Champion tap out to pick up the win for his team. Back in his “director’s chair”, Goldust would appear on RAW, saying that R-Truth held him back and R-Truth wanted the “spotlight” all to himself. Goldust then says that, soon, he will put an end to all that because The Golden Truth will reach its “final crescendo”. Goldust continues, saying that their ending won’t be “happy” and it won’t be “sad”, it will be “golden”, stating that “the golden age is back”. R-Truth then cuts in with his own vignette, saying that he took a lot of inspiration from movies, saying that he’s going to shut Goldust’s mouth, telling Goldust that he’s “gonna get got”. Then it was time for a main event between familiar friends and foes as, before they are a part of the Fatal 5-Way Match at Extreme Rules, “The Kingslayer” Seth Rollins would go one-on-one with his former Shield teammate, “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns. After a Superman Punch out of mid-air failed to put Seth Rollins away, Roman Reigns would size Rollins up for the Spear, but Seth would counter before blasting Reigns with a kick to the face. Roman then catches Seth with a right hand before going for a Samoan Drop from the second rope, but Seth would fight out, hitting Reigns with the Buckle Bomb with Roman rebounding with the Superman Punch, leaving both men down in the ring! On the outside, Roman Reigns would charge at Seth Rollins, but Seth would move out of the way and Reigns would collide with the steel steps. Rollins then brings Roman back into the ring, hitting Reigns with the frog splash, but Roman kicks out. Rollins then connects with an enziguiri before going for his signature knee, but Reigns is able to counter before hitting the Spear, pinning Rollins for the win. Roman then celebrates his victory over his former teammate, showing that it could indeed be Roman Reigns who walks out of Extreme Rules as the #1 Contender for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship.
