WWE RAW Results: April 3, 2017By Cassidy| April 4, 2017 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results The RAW after WrestleMania would get underway with the raucous crowd in the Amway Center showing their love and appreciation for the legendary career of The Undertaker as the entire crowd was on their feet, chanting “Undertaker” less than twenty-four hours after the world witnessed the last ride of “The Phenom” at WrestleMania 33. The chants would slowly turn to “Roman sucks” chants before the man who defeated The Undertaker in what was likely the final match of “The Deadman” made his way to the ring as Roman Reigns boldly kicks off RAW with the entire crowd booing Roman and showering Reigns in chants of “f*** you Roman”, as well as “delete” chants and “you suck” chants. Roman would patiently wait for the chants to fade so he could speak, but the rowdy Orlando crowd would continue to boo Reigns and chant “Roman sucks” and “delete”, ramping up the boos every time Roman would raise the microphone to his mouth. After what seemed like an eternity, Reigns would finally speak, proclaiming “this is my yard now” before putting the microphone down before leaving the ring and walking to the back. One night after their shocking return brought the crowd in the Camping World Stadium to their feet at WrestleMania, The Hardy Boyz would return to RAW as the brand new RAW Tag Team Champions would defend the titles against former champions Gallows & Anderson in the opening match of the night. In the end, Matt Hardy would save Jeff Hardy from the Magic Killer before hitting Luke Gallows with the Twist of Fate, followed up with the Swanton Bomb from Jeff as Matt pins Gallows to pick up the win as The Hardy Boyz successfully retain the RAW Tag Team Titles. After successfully defending the Cruiserweight Title against Austin Aries on the WrestleMania Kickoff, Cruiserweight Champion Neville would go one-on-one with Mustafa Ali in a non-title match on RAW. In the end, after depriving the fans of seeing the Red Arrow, Neville would instead lock in the Rings of Saturn, making Mustafa Ali tap out to pick up the win. The RAW after WrestleMania would then have a surprise appearance from the boss of bosses himself, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon! In what has become a tradition, the Chairman would arrive on RAW with some big news as Mr. McMahon reveals that he has talked to management from both RAW and SmackDown LIVE and, next week, they’re going have a good, old-fashioned “Superstar shakeup” as they’re going to “shake things up again” next week between RAW and SmackDown LIVE! The Chairman says that there was incident at WrestleMania that broke his heart and broke the hearts of the fans as well. McMahon then shows the footage from WrestleMania where, during the Unsanctioned Match between Seth Rollins and Triple H, a super kick from Rollins would send Triple H inadvertently stumbling into Stephanie McMahon, sending the RAW Commissioner crashing through a table. The Chairman then reveals that his daughter, Stephanie, is going to be “out of action for quite some time”, which elicits a huge reaction from the crowd, who erupts in “yes” chants. Vince then calls the fans “bloodthirsty” before saying that “the show must go on”, saying that, since the Commissioner is out of action and they don’t have a RAW General Manager since Mick Foley was fired a couple of weeks ago, it’s time they name a new General Manager! Mr. McMahon then states that the new RAW General Manager is someone who was just inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on Friday night. However, the Chairman seems perplexed when he is interrupted by new WWE Hall of Famer Theodore Long! The longest tenured SmackDown General Manager in history is elated to be back on RAW, dancing on the stage but Vince cuts Teddy’s music off and tells Long to stop dancing. The Chairman then reveals that Theodore Long is not the new General Manager of RAW, which disappoints Teddy Long, who says “my bad” before leaving the stage. After two more attempts to bring out the new GM fails, we finally get the identity of the brand new RAW General Manager as Olympic gold medalist and new WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring! Kurt shakes hands with the Chairman before Mr. McMahon leaves the ring. After soaking in the “welcome back” chants from the crowd, Kurt Angle proclaims that it’s great to be back on RAW, saying “it’s true, it’s damn true”! The GM then applauds the crowd before leaving the ring with a big smile on his face, leaving the world wondering just what the Olympic gold medalist has in store for Monday nights. After serving as the Hosts of WrestleMania, The New Day would make an appearance on RAW, saying that, while they had a great time as the WrestleMania Hosts, they were disappointed that they didn’t get to compete. This leads to Xavier Woods stating that they are issuing an open challenge to any team in the locker room! The challenge would be answered by none other than former two-time NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival as Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson make their RAW debuts! In the end, it was The Revival hitting Xavier Woods with the Shatter Machine as Dash Wilder pins Xavier to pick up the win for The Revival. After the match, The Revival would target Kofi Kingston, bringing Kofi into the ring as Scott Dawson holds the ankle of Kingston in place before Dash Wilder comes off the ropes onto the ankle of Kofi. The Revival then stand tall in the ring, having made an immediate impact in their RAW debuts. One night after successfully defending the RAW Women’s Championship in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match at WrestleMania, RAW Women’s Champion Bayley would team with “The Boss” Sasha Banks and Dana Brooke to face the team of Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, and the returning Emma in a 6-Woman Tag Match. In the end, it came down to Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair as Sasha avoids the Natural Selection before locking in the Bank Statement, making Charlotte tap out to pick up the win for her team. After the match, Charlotte Flair would take the loss out on her tag partners, shoving Emma and shoving Nia Jax. Nia would not take kindly to this as the dominant competitor takes Charlotte down and, as Emma leaves the ring to avoid getting in Nia’s way, Nia Jax drops a big elbow on Charlotte before leaving the ring, making it clear that she has no need for teammates. After conquering Goldberg with ten suplexes and an F-5 at WrestleMania to win the Universal Title, the brand new Universal Champion was on RAW as Brock Lesnar would make his way to the ring with advocate Paul Heyman by his side. Speaking in the style of a storybook, Paul Heyman states that, after Brock Lesnar vanquished the “superhero” Goldberg at WrestleMania, “you won’t be seeing Goldberg around here anymore”. Heyman then says that Brock is looking for “new challenges” and “new challengers”, proposing the idea of Seth Rollins facing Brock Lesnar or Matt Hardy facing Brock Lesnar or Jeff Hardy vs. Brock Lesnar or both of The Hardy Boyz facing Brock Lesnar. Heyman continues, saying that Brock is not going to be one of those champions that “cherishes” every single moment that he has the championship because he won’t reign as champion forever. Heyman then says that Lesnar is the “destroyer of the status quo” before saying that it’s time that they talk about the “two” in 23-2, referring to Roman Reigns becoming only the second Superstar in history to defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania, saying that “history dictates” that the two must go one-on-one to determine who’s “yard” the ring really is! Heyman then says that Roman has been walking around the locker room like he’s the “big dog”, saying that, if Roman is the “big dog”, then Brock is “animal cruelty”. The advocate then says that the Universal Champion has authorized him to give the fans something they will “never forget”, saying that it’s time to deliver something “special”. Heyman continues, asking why they should wait before saying they should do something right here tonight. However, Paul Heyman is then interrupted by “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman, who marches to the ring to confront Brock Lesnar. Braun tells the Universal Champion that he sees that Roman Reigns has Brock’s attention and, maybe after he destroys Roman, maybe he will have the champion’s attention as well. Strowman then says that Lesnar already has his attention before “The Monster Among Men” actually shoves “The Beast”! Brock responds by smiling at Strowman before symbolically laying the Universal Title belt down in the ring, showing that he is ready to fight. However, Braun has second thoughts about battling the new Universal Champion, deciding to leave the ring and save the fight for another night. Backstage, an interview with Chris Jericho is interrupted by Kevin Owens as the new United States Champion ambushes Jericho before Samoa Joe joins the fight. Owens & Joe then administer a two-on-one beatdown on Jericho before Owens powerbombs Jericho through a table! After both teams came up short in the Fatal 4-Way Ladder Match for the RAW Tag Team Titles, new RAW General Manager Kurt Angle would give these two teams an opportunity to earn a shot at the gold as Enzo & Big Cass would face Cesaro & Sheamus to determine new #1 Contenders for the RAW Tag Team Titles. In the end, it was Sheamus tossing Enzo Amore off of the top rope right into a European uppercut from Cesaro as Cesaro pins Enzo to pick up the win and become the new #1 Contenders for the RAW Tag Team Titles. Following a backstage confrontation in the office of RAW General Manager Kurt Angle, RAW would see Sami Zayn go one-on-one with Jinder Mahal per the orders of the new General Manager. Despite Jinder Mahal attacking Sami Zayn before the match, “The Underdog from the Underground” would battle back, ultimately hitting the Helluva Kick and pinning Jinder for the win. After a gutsy victory over Triple H in an Unsanctioned Match at WrestleMania, “The Kingslayer” Seth Rollins was scheduled to team with Chris Jericho to take on Samoa Joe and new United States Champion Kevin Owens, but following the attack on Jericho by Owens & Joe earlier in the night, Jericho was unable to compete. However, Seth Rollins would get a more than suitable replacement as Seth would team up with the returning Finn Balor as “The Kingslayer” and “The Demon King” would put their differences aside to face Samoa Joe & Kevin Owens on RAW! In the end, it was Finn Balor hitting the Coupe de Grace on Kevin Owens, pinning the United States Champion to pick up the win for himself and Seth Rollins. After the match, Seth Rollins would raise the hand of his former rival as “The Demon King” rises again on RAW. What did you think of the post-WrestleMania RAW? Post your comments in the box below.
