WWE RAW Results: December 5, 2016By Cassidy| December 6, 2016 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results After delivering a Pedigree to Chris Jericho on the roof of a car on last week’s RAW after Jericho cost him the WWE Universal Championship two weeks ago, this week’s RAW kicks off with Seth Rollins. However, Seth doesn’t discuss Chris Jericho as Rollins says that there’s been something “bubbling” within him for the past couple of months and he needs to get it off of his chest. With that, Rollins declares “I want Triple H” before saying that life is about “choices” and, a few years ago, he decided to put together The Shield and they changed WWE forever. Seth continues, saying that he had to dismantle The Shield and that is when he discovered that choices have consequences. Rollins then says that Triple H made the choice to “bet against” Seth Rollins and Triple H made the choice to designate Kevin Owens as his new “golden boy”. Seth then says that, when he Pedigreed Chris Jericho on the roof of a car last week, that was a “message” to Triple H. Rollins continues, saying that he would love to call Triple H out right now but they know that’s not the type of guy that Triple H is, asking how they get Triple H’s attention. Seth then says that he gets Triple H’s attention by beating Kevin Owens and taking the WWE Universal Title, but he can’t beat Kevin Owens until Chris Jericho is out of the picture. Rollins then says that, as they saw last week when Kevin Owens lost to Roman Reigns, The Kevin Owens Show is not quite “ready for primetime” without Chris Jericho. This brings WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens out to the stage as Seth Rollins asks the champion how Chris Jericho is and how their friendship is. Owens says that he and Jericho had a fight last week, saying that best friends fight but Seth wouldn’t know anything about that. The champion then says that “best friends make up” before saying that Rollins doesn’t need to worry about Owens and Jericho’s friendship. Owens then says that he’s been busy buying Jericho Christmas presents before declaring that he is a “fighting champion” and the only reason that he lost to Roman Reigns last week is because of Seth Rollins. Owens explains that the well-being of Chris Jericho was on his mind during the match due to the actions of Seth Rollins. Seth is quick to call Owens out on this, challenging Owens to a match for the WWE Universal Title right here, right now. However, the champion says that he already beat Seth Rollins two weeks ago and he already has a match with Sami Zayn tonight as well as an upcoming title defense against Roman Reigns at Roadblock: End of the Line. Owens then says that, speaking of Roadblock: End of the Line, one of the presents he got Chris Jericho was a series of matches and one of those matches will take place tonight when Chris Jericho challenges Roman Reigns for the United States Title! Owens then reveals that, at Roadblock: End of the Line, Chris Jericho and Seth Rollins will go one-on-one before revealing that the third present he got for Chris Jericho is a one-on-one match for Seth Rollins tonight as Rollins will go one-on-one with this man. With that, Kevin Owens brings out the returning Big Show! With WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens at ringside, the opening match of the night would see Seth Rollins collide with the returning “World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show! Throughout the match, Seth Rollins would look to use his speed to offset the size and power of Big Show, delivering a trio of knees off of the top rope to finally topple “The World’s Largest Athlete”. Big Show then manages to avoid the Pedigree as Kevin Owens gets on the ring apron as the WWE Universal Champion barks orders at Big Show. Having heard enough from Kevin Owens, Big Show would grab Kevin Owens by the throat, dragging the champion into the ring and planting Owens with the chokeslam! Big Show is then glad to leave the ring, abandoning the match and leaving Kevin Owens at the mercy of Seth Rollins. The referee would reach his ten-count as Seth Rollins wins the match by count-out with Big Show applauding. Rollins then takes full advantage of having a vulnerable Kevin Owens in the ring, planting the WWE Universal Champion with the Pedigree in the middle of the ring! In Cruiserweight action, “The Perfect Gentleman” would make his RAW debut as the unorthodox Englishman Jack Gallagher would go one-on-one with Ariya Daivari. In the end, it was Jack Gallagher hitting a running dropkick to Ariya Daivari in the corner, pinning Daivari for the win. After the match, Jack Gallagher would offer a handshake to Ariya Daivari and Daivari would respond to this by cheap-shotting Gallagher, viciously attacking the left leg of “The Perfect Gentleman”. Backstage, Enzo & Big Cass overhear an argument between Rusev and Lana with Enzo Amore deciding to confront the couple about the argument. Rusev tells Enzo to mind his own business but Lana sticks up for Enzo, saying Enzo is only trying to help. Rusev responds by calling his wife “pathetic” and maybe she deserves a “pathetic man” like Enzo before Lana takes off her wedding ring, telling Rusev that the ring means that he’s the only man that can have her. Lana then throws the wedding ring at Rusev, who walks off as Enzo shoos Big Cass away. Enzo then picks up Lana’s wedding ring, handing it to Lana before asking her, “how are you doing?”, which puts a smile on Lana’s face. The conversation then leads to Lana having the idea that Rusev needs to be “taught a lesson”, saying that, if Rusev saw another man treating her well, then Rusev would know not to take her for granted. Lana then follows this up by inviting Enzo Amore to her hotel room! RAW would then see the renewal of a personal rivalry as Sami Zayn would go one-on-one with WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens in a non-title match. During a stellar back-and-forth match between the familiar foes, Sami Zayn would hit back-to-back exploder suplexes to Kevin Owens, following it up with the Blue Thunder Bomb, but Owens would kick out! Sami then delivers a suplex to Owens on the outside before rolling the WWE Universal Champion back into the ring, but when Zayn enters the ring, Owens is lying in wait, planting Sami with the Pop-Up Powerbomb and pinning Zayn for the win. After emerging from a hellacious Falls Count Anywhere against Charlotte to win the RAW Women’s Championship for the third time in her career, new RAW Women’s Champion Sasha Banks would be interviewed about her title win. Sasha says that she walked right into Charlotte’s “kingdom” and took Charlotte’s “crown” as they made history again. The champion then says that Ric Flair “deserves better” and that is why she dedicated her match to “The Nature Boy” last week. Sasha continues, saying that, as a competitor, Charlotte brings out the “best” in her and she can’t wait to face Charlotte again. After learning what Charlotte had to say on Twitter when the former champion says that she is coming for her title and that “iron sharpens iron”, Sasha says that Charlotte wants a rematch while she doesn’t want any “excuses”. The champion then declares that, at Roadblock: End of the Line, she is challenging Charlotte to an Iron Man Match for the RAW Women’s Championship! Sasha then states that there is only “one iron woman on RAW” and she is going to prove once and for all that she is that woman. Following his win over The Brian Kendrick on the premiere of 205 Live last week to become the new Cruiserweight Champion, Rich Swann would go one-on-one with former champion T.J. Perkins in a non-title match on RAW. In the end, it was Rich Swann catching T.J. Perkins with the Rich Kick, pinning TJP for the win. In women’s action, Bayley would go one-on-one with Alicia Fox on RAW. In the end, it was Bayley scoring with the Bayley-to-Belly to Alicia Fox, pinning Alicia for the win. In his home state of Texas, “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry would face Titus O’Neil in “The Tussle in Texas” on RAW. However, the match would be over in the blink of an eye as Titus would miss a clothesline and Mark Henry would capitalize with the World’s Strongest Slam, pinning Titus O’Neil for the win. Backstage, Enzo Amore is waiting for his Uber to take him to Lana’s hotel room when a long black limousine pulls into the arena with none other than “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair riding in the back! Enzo explains the situation to the two-time WWE Hall of Famer and, having done his fair share of partying in his legendary career, Flair lets Enzo ride in style as Enzo gets to ride to Lana’s hotel in Flair’s limo! Backstage, Chris Jericho is on his way to the ring for his United States Title match against Roman Reigns when he is stopped by Kevin Owens. Owens tells Jericho that he is going to make sure that there is no “injustice” in Jericho’s match tonight. However, Jericho tells the WWE Universal Champion that he is going to win the United States Title on his own, telling Owens that he doesn’t “want” Owens to be in his corner and he doesn’t “need” him in his corner, telling Owens to “stay away” from him. In a match organized by Kevin Owens, the man who will challenge Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship at Roadblock: End of the Line would defend his own title as Roman Reigns would defend the United States Championship against Chris Jericho. Towards the end of a hard-fought title match, Roman Reigns would connect with the Superman Punch to Chris Jericho, but the challenger manages to kick out. Reigns then sizes Jericho up for the Spear, but Jericho catches Roman with a kick to the face before Reigns blocks Jericho’s attempt at the Codebreaker, hitting Jericho with his sit-out powerbomb, but Jericho kicks out. Jericho then looks for the Walls of Jericho, but Reigns powers out before Jericho catches the champion with the enziguiri. Jericho then locks Reigns in the Walls of Jericho, but Roman powers his way to the bottom rope, forcing the break. This is when Jericho would argue with the referee and this would allow Kevin Owens to sneak down to ringside and blast Reigns with a super kick from the outside unbeknownst to the referee and to Chris Jericho! Roman then stumbles right into a Codebreaker from Chris Jericho, but Reigns is somehow still able to kick out at the last possible second! This brings Kevin Owens onto the ring apron as Owens is livid that Reigns was able to kick out with the WWE Universal Champion shouting at the referee. Jericho then notices Owens on the ring apron, sparking an argument between Owens and Jericho as Jericho shouts at Owens that he doesn’t “need” him. Jericho even shoves Owens before telling Owens to “get out” and, as Owens walks to the back, Reigns blasts Jericho with the Spear, pinning Jericho to successfully retain the United States Title in an incredible match. With Enzo Amore on his way to Lana’s hotel room, a backstage confrontation was set to lead to Rusev and Big Cass going one-on-one on RAW. However, with Big Cass in the ring, there would be no sign of Rusev as “The Bulgarian Brute” would not come out for his scheduled match. After a few minutes of waiting with no Rusev, Big Cass realizes that his tag team partner may be in some serious trouble. This is when Big Cass would exit the ring, borrowing the timekeeper’s cell phone to try and warn Enzo. However, Enzo would ignore the call as Amore was already at Lana’s door. Once Lana answers the door, Enzo begins to have second thoughts about getting involved with a married woman. This makes Lana cry as Lana retreats into the hotel room with Enzo following her in as Lana hugs Enzo. Enzo comments that he is “uncomfortable” but Lana insists, getting the two of them a couple of drinks. With Enzo still eager to leave, Lana would rip Enzo’s shirt off before Lana urges Enzo to take off his pants. Enzo does as he is told and, with Enzo standing in his underwear, Lana tells Amore that he is a “fool” before revealing that her husband Rusev was waiting for him in the other room. A livid Rusev tosses Enzo on the couch, pounding Enzo with right hands before slamming Enzo through the coffee table! “The Bulgarian Brute” then breaks a lamp over Enzo’s back before hurling Enzo into the bar and continuing to beat Enzo down as Lana cheers Rusev on. Rusev then grabs a vase of flowers, smashing the glass vase over Enzo’s head! Rusev then drags the motionless Enzo out into the hallway, leaving Enzo face-down on the floor as Rusev and Lana return to their hotel room with Lana putting a “Do Not Disturb” placard on the door handle. Just nine days shy of beating the record as the longest reigning tag team champions of all-time, RAW Tag Team Champions The New Day would be at ringside as Cesaro & Sheamus would face Gallows & Anderson with the winning team earning a match against The New Day for the RAW Tag Team Titles on next week’s RAW. During the match, things would break down with Cesaro & Sheamus and Gallows & Anderson battling on the outside and the fighting would get too close to The New Day and the RAW Tag Team Champions would get involved, leading to the match being ended by the referee. However, the fight would continue with Kofi Kingston diving over the top rope, only to be caught by Cesaro & Sheamus who toss Kofi into Big E & Xavier Woods, leaving the champions laid out. With The New Day down on the outside, Cesaro & Sheamus are left standing in the ring as Gallows & Anderson are standing in the entranceway, leaving a lot of questions regarding who the #1 Contenders are. One week after losing the RAW Women’s Title to Sasha Banks in a vicious Falls Count Anywhere match and having to witness her father, Ric Flair, come down to the ring and publicly raise the hand of her rival, former champion Charlotte would appear on RAW to issue a “public apology” to her father for humiliating him and sending him home in tears several months ago. Charlotte says that she realized last week that she made the biggest mistake of her life six months ago when she crushed her father’s spirit. Charlotte then refers to herself as a “cold-hearted bitch of a daughter” six months ago before showing what went down between her and Ric Flair back in May. In the confrontation between father and daughter, Charlotte said that her spotlight shined “brighter” than her father’s ever did before telling her crying father that she doesn’t need him anymore. Charlotte would then mock her father’s pain, sending “The Nature Boy” to the back in tears. After re-living how she treated her father, Charlotte says that what was harder than losing the RAW Women’s Title was having to watch as Ric Flair came down to the ring and raise the hand of Sasha Banks. Charlotte then says that it was as if Flair was saying that he wished that Sasha was his daughter instead of Charlotte. The former champion continues, saying that all she’s ever wanted was her father’s “approval” and for Flair to be “proud” of her and she has to ask herself every day if she is “good enough”. Charlotte then says that it broke her heart to see Ric Flair raise the hand of Sasha Banks last week. Charlotte then asks her father to come to the ring as the two-time WWE Hall of Famer and sixteen-time former World Champion Ric Flair makes his way to the ring to come face-to-face with his daughter for the first time in six months. Charlotte tells her father that she’s “sorry” before hugging Ric Flair as “The Nature Boy” accepts the embrace. However, once the hug breaks up, Charlotte acts like she is going to hug her father again, but she instead slaps Ric across the face! Charlotte then screams at her father, calling Flair a “son of a bitch” before accusing Ric of turning his back on her. Incensed over Charlotte’s treatment of Ric Flair, Sasha Banks rushes the ring but Charlotte catches the RAW Women’s Champion with a kick to the mid-section, taking Sasha to the outside, tossing Banks into the barricade as referees try to break it up. Charlotte then picks the champion up, launching Sasha face-first into the ring post, leaving Sasha motionless on the floor. As Ric Flair pleads with his daughter to stop the assault, Charlotte rolls Sasha into the ring, mocking her father’s crying before telling Ric “that’s your trophy” in reference to Sasha Banks, leaving the ring as she continues to mock her father and sarcastically applaud the efforts of Sasha Banks.
