WWE Survivor Series 2016 ResultsBy Cassidy| November 21, 2016 WWE PPVs Previous Page Detailed Results The 30th annual Survivor Series kicks off with brand supremacy on the line for the respective women’s divisions as Team RAW, consisting of RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte, Bayley, Nia Jax, Alicia Fox, and Sasha Banks, with team alternate Dana Brooke in their corner, would face Team SmackDown LIVE, which consists of Nikki Bella, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Carmella, and Naomi, with the team’s coach Natalya in their corner, in the Women’s Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match. However, Nikki Bella would not come out when her music plays and it is soon revealed that someone attacked Nikki Bella from behind in the backstage area and SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan has no choice but to make the last minute decision to put Natalya in Nikki’s place for the match! Early on in the match, problems would arise on Team RAW between Charlotte and Sasha Banks and this would lay the groundwork for an all-out brawl between Team RAW and Team SmackDown LIVE before order is able to be restored. The first elimination of the match would be scored by Team RAW’s Alicia Fox, who kicks Carmella in the back of the head before pinning and eliminating Carmella. Alexa Bliss then evens things up by hitting Twisted Bliss on Alicia Fox, pinning and eliminating Alicia. Later on in the match, Natalya surprises Sasha Banks with a roll-up, eliminating “The Boss” from the match, giving Team SmackDown LIVE the advantage. Charlotte would then score an elimination for Team RAW as the RAW Women’s Champion blasts Natalya with a big boot, eliminating Natalya from the match. Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss would then have a brief confrontation in the ring before getting on the same page to try and suplex Nia Jax, but the unbelievable power of Nia would overwhelm both SmackDown LIVE competitors as Nia suplexes both Becky and Alexa! Team SmackDown LIVE would continue to struggle with Nia Jax before Becky Lynch manages to lock in the Dis-Arm-Her on Nia Jax, making the power house tap out for the elimination. After this, Charlotte hits Alexa Bliss with a big boot, eliminating Alexa, leaving Becky Lynch all alone for Team SmackDown LIVE against Charlotte and Bayley for Team RAW. Bayley and the SmackDown Women’s Champion would then go head-to-head in the match with Bayley ultimately hitting the Bayley-to-Belly, pinning Becky to eliminate Becky and score the win for Team RAW with Charlotte and Bayley as the sole survivors. However, as soon as the match was over, Charlotte would ambush Bayley, tossing Bayley into the ringside barricade twice before leveling Bayley with a big boot, leaving Bayley laid out on the floor. Fresh off of winning his sixth Intercontinental Championship this past Tuesday night on SmackDown LIVE, SmackDown LIVE’s The Miz, with Maryse in his corner, would defend the Intercontinental Championship against RAW’s Sami Zayn and, if Sami wins the title, the prestigious championship will become exclusive to RAW. During the match, The Miz would target the left leg of Sami Zayn to try and weaken the challenger for the Figure-Four Lock, twice slamming Sami’s leg into the ring post. Later on in the match, Sami Zayn would nearly put The Miz away with the Blue Thunder Bomb but Miz manages to kick out. The champion then avoids the Helluva Kick before Sami suplexes The Miz into the corner. Zayn then tries for the Helluva Kick for a second time, missing again before The Miz locks in the Figure-Four Leg Lock on the challenger before Sami is able to roll himself and The Miz closer to the ropes as Sami grabs the bottom rope to break the hold. The Miz then mocks SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan by delivering a series of kicks to the challenger before Sami catches the leg of The Miz, locking in his own Figure-Four Leg Lock on the champion! However, this is when Maryse would ring the bell, making Sami think that The Miz had tapped out. As a result, Sami would release the hold and, amidst the confusion, The Miz would roll Sami up, scoring the three-count to win the match and successfully retain the Intercontinental Title, keeping the championship a part of SmackDown LIVE. In the second of the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Matches, it was time for the tag teams of RAW and SmackDown LIVE to prove their brand superiority over the other as RAW Tag Team Champions The New Day, represented by Big E & Kofi Kingston with Xavier Woods in their corner, Cesaro & Sheamus, Gallows & Anderson, Enzo & Big Cass, and The Shining Stars, who make up Team RAW, would collide with Team SmackDown LIVE, which consists of SmackDown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater & Rhyno, The Hype Bros, American Alpha, The Usos, and Breezango in a massive Traditional 10-on-10 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match. Team RAW would score the early elimination as Big E & Kofi Kingston hits Fandango with the Midnight Hour with Kofi pinning Fandango to eliminate Breezango! However, this would be followed up by an even more shocking elimination as Jimmy Uso catches Kofi Kingston with a super kick, pinning Kofi to eliminate the captains of Team RAW and the RAW Tag Team Champions, Big E & Kofi Kingston from the match! Later on in the match, Gallows & Anderson would hit the Magic Killer on Zack Ryder with Luke Gallows pinning Ryder to eliminate The Hype Bros from the match. American Alpha then score an elimination, hitting a double team electric chair bulldog with Jason Jordan pinning Primo to eliminate The Shining Stars from the match. The match then breaks down into a brawl between the remaining teams of Team RAW and Team SmackDown LIVE. Gallows & Anderson then hits the Magic Killer on Jason Jordan with Karl Anderson pinning Jordan to eliminate American Alpha. Problems would then arise between Luke Gallows and Enzo Amore and Rhyno would take advantage, scoring with the Gore to Gallows, pinning Gallows to eliminate Gallows & Anderson from the match. Enzo & Big Cass then remedy this by hitting the Bada Boom Shakalaka on Rhyno with Enzo pinning Rhyno to eliminate the SmackDown Tag Team Champions. The Usos then even things up with Jey Uso hitting the Samoan Splash on Enzo Amore, eliminating Enzo & Big Cass from the match, leaving the match down to The Usos against Cesaro & Sheamus. Both teams would give it their absolute all in the match with Cesaro escaping the Tequila Sunrise, locking in the Sharpshooter on Jey Uso and, with Sheamus taking Jimmy Uso out with the Brogue Kick, Jey Uso would tap out as Cesaro & Sheamus win the match for Team RAW. With the entire Cruiserweight Division on the line, Survivor Series would then see the Cruiserweight Championship on the line as RAW’s The Brian Kendrick would defend the Cruiserweight Title against SmackDown LIVE’s Kalisto and, if Kalisto wins the title, then the Cruiserweight Title and the entire Cruiserweight Division will become exclusive to SmackDown LIVE. During the match, The Brian Kendrick would position Kalisto between the steel ring steps and the ring post, kicking the steps into Kalisto, squashing the challenger. Later on in the match, Kalisto would battle back against the champion, hitting the Spanish Fly maneuver off of the ring apron, sending The Brian Kendrick face-first onto the arena floor! Kalisto then has his sights set on the Salida del Sol off of the top rope, but The Brian Kendrick counters, locking in the Captain’s Hook on Kalisto with the challenger narrowly able to get to the bottom rope to break the hold. Kalisto then rallies against The Brian Kendrick, hitting the Salida del Sol, but the champion is able to get his foot on the bottom rope to keep the match alive. However, this is when Baron Corbin would emerge, attacking The Brian Kendrick from behind before catching Kalisto in mid-air with the End of Days! This would result in a disqualification victory for The Brian Kendrick as Kendrick keeps the Cruiserweight Title and the Cruiserweight Division on RAW. With RAW 3-1 over SmackDown LIVE in the interpromotional matches, it was time for RAW’s five best male Superstars to face SmackDown LIVE’s five best male Superstars in the Men’s Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match as Team RAW, comprised of WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, United States Champion Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins, would face Team SmackDown LIVE, which is made up of WWE World Champion AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, and SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon, with team mascot James Ellsworth in their corner. After battling back-and-forth, the match would break down between the two teams, sparking a brawl between the ten Superstars before Kevin Owens takes to the air as the WWE Universal Champion takes out the slew of men on the outside. Shane McMahon then tries to do the same, but Braun Strowman pulls Shane back into the ring. AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose then work together to hobble Braun Strowman before Shane sacrifices himself to take Braun to the outside. Styles and Ambrose then find themselves facing off against Team RAW’s Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns with Styles and Ambrose getting the better of the fight. Styles and Ambrose would then let their hatred get the better of them as Shane tries his best to keep Ambrose and Styles on the same page. The fight would end with AJ shoving Ambrose and this would end up costing Team SmackDown LIVE as Braun Strowman would take advantage of the in-fighting, hitting his running powerslam on Dean Ambrose, eliminating “The Lunatic Fringe” as AJ Styles just watches the elimination. Strowman then continues his single-handed domination of Team SmackDown LIVE, tossing AJ Styles over the top rope to the outside before fighting off an attempted RKO by Randy Orton. Braun then charges towards Orton, but Strowman is halted when confronted by his former leader in The Wyatt Family, Bray Wyatt. Chris Jericho then tries to bring Braun to his senses and, staying true to “Team Braun”, Braun would knock Jericho down before setting his sights on Bray Wyatt, sending Bray to the outside. Strowman then exposes the German announce table, but Randy Orton comes in with an RKO to Strowman on the table! Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton then expose the English announce table, putting Braun on the table as Shane McMahon takes flight, diving from the top rope with an elbow drop to Strowman that sends the monster, as well as the Commissioner, crashing through the table! AJ Styles then rolls Shane McMahon into the ring to avoid getting counted and it looked like Braun Strowman would narrowly avoid the count, but something would keep him from entering the ring as Braun is eliminated by count-out. It’s then revealed that it was Team SmackDown LIVE’s mascot James Ellsworth that held onto the ankle of Strowman, keeping Braun from entering the ring! However, Braun Strowman would not take his elimination well as the monster would attack the mascot, beating James Ellsworth up to the stage before hurling Ellsworth off of the stage, sending Ellsworth crashing through a table to the concrete! Back in the ring, Shane McMahon would struggle to continue the match after his elbow drop to Braun Strowman, but the Commissioner would avoid elimination before tagging out. Familiar foes AJ Styles and Chris Jericho would battle each other in the match with the WWE World Champion locking in the Calf Crusher, but Jericho counters, trying for the Walls of Jericho. AJ would avoid the Walls of Jericho before hitting Kevin Owens with a right hand and the WWE Universal Champion would respond by entering the ring, hitting AJ Styles with the List of Jericho before hitting the WWE World Champion with the Pop-Up Powerbomb. However, Kevin Owens’ use of the List of Jericho would result in Owens getting eliminated by disqualification. Upset over his list being scattered all over the ring, Jericho would scramble to put the List of Jericho back together again and this obsession would cost “Y2J” as Randy Orton would surprise Jericho with the RKO, pinning and eliminating Jericho from the match, leaving Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns for Team RAW against AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, and Shane McMahon for Team SmackDown LIVE! Later on in the match, Shane McMahon would tag himself into the match to combat Roman Reigns and the Commissioner is able to take it to both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins! Shane would send Seth out of the ring before sending Reigns shoulder-first into the ring post and, with the United States Champion prone in the corner, Shane goes for the Coast-to-Coast on Reigns, but Roman catches Shane in mid-air with a vicious Spear! Reigns would go for the pin on the Commissioner but the referee would stop his count when he realizes how badly Shane is hurt. The referee then calls for Shane’s elimination before the ringside physicians tend to the Commissioner, helping Shane to the back. Still up three men to Team RAW’s two, Team SmackDown LIVE would set their sights on the remaining members of Team RAW as AJ Styles and Seth Rollins would collide in the ring with Rollins taking it to the WWE World Champion before diving to the outside, taking out Bray Wyatt. Styles then battles back before Rollins catches AJ with an enziguiri, leaving Styles stunned on the top rope. Randy Orton would then intervene and Rollins would dive to the outside to take out “The Viper” before Rollins and Reigns would expose the Spanish announce table, ready to put Orton through the table with the signature Shield powerbomb. AJ Styles then comes to the aid of Orton, taking out Rollins and Reigns on the outside. The WWE World Champion then heads back into the ring, opting to gloat about his actions. This is when Dean Ambrose would rush back to the ring with his sights set on AJ Styles. The #1 Contender for the WWE World Championship would let his hatred of AJ Styles get the better of him as Ambrose would attack his teammate from behind, sending AJ to the outside before referees rush the ring to try and keep Ambrose at bay. However, Dean Ambrose would break away from the referees, continuing to pummel AJ Styles until security comes out to restrain “The Lunatic Fringe”. Having seen all of this take place, a temporary reunion for the ages would take place as Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns would put brand loyalty aside to help out their former Shield brethren as Rollins and Reigns would attack the security guards, coming to the aid of Dean Ambrose! The former members of The Shield would then go back to their roots from their debut four years ago as Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns would put AJ Styles through the Spanish announce table with the Shield powerbomb! As referees escort Dean Ambrose to the back, Seth Rollins rolls AJ Styles back into the ring, pinning the WWE World Champion to eliminate AJ and even things up between the two teams, leaving Rollins and Reigns for Team RAW against Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton for Team SmackDown LIVE. This is when the third member of The Wyatt Family would emerge as Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, & Luke Harper surround the ring. Rollins and Reigns would knock Harper off of the ring apron and, as Rollins and Bray fight on the inside, Reigns and Orton would battle on the outside with Luke Harper getting involved, leveling the United States Champion with a super kick! Rollins then hits Bray with the Slingblade before diving to the outside, taking out Luke Harper before turning his focus back to Bray. Orton would then come back into the ring and Rollins would struggle to maintain the advantage. Seth would then go for the frog splash on Bray Wyatt, but Randy Orton would catch Rollins in mid-air with a stunning RKO, pinning Rollins to eliminate Seth, leaving Roman Reigns all alone to combat both Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton. The United States Champion would then take it to all three members of The Wyatt Family, leveling Luke Harper with the Spear on the outside. However, when Reigns comes back into the ring, he is caught by Bray Wyatt as Bray looks for Sister Abigail, but Roman fights out, scoring with the Superman Punch to “The Eater of Worlds”. Roman then sizes Bray up for the Spear, charging at Wyatt, but this is when Orton would shove Bray out of the way, sacrificing himself for Wyatt, as Roman hits “The Viper” with the Spear instead! Bray then capitalizes by hitting Reigns with Sister Abigail, pinning Roman to eliminate the United States Champion and ensure that Team SmackDown LIVE wins the match with Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton as the sole survivors! Then it was time for the unreal main event as the “mega match” would take place at Survivor Series as, twelve years after their first match at WrestleMania in 2004, the rematch would take place as the most dominant competitor in WCW history, Goldberg, would return to the ring for one more match and that match would be against “The Beast” Brock Lesnar, with advocate Paul Heyman in his corner. The match would start with both powerhouses sizing each other up before Brock Lesnar takes the first shot, taking Goldberg into the corner. Goldberg then fires back, shoving “The Beast” down before catching Brock with the Spear! Goldberg then sizes Brock up before delivering a second Spear to “The Beast”! Goldberg then lets Lesnar get to his feet before hoisting “The Beast” up, delivering the Jackhammer to Brock, pinning Lesnar in the middle of the ring to pick up a shocking victory, having made unbelievably quick work of Brock Lesnar. As Brock Lesnar tries to recover from the most devastating loss of his WWE career, Goldberg celebrates with his son in the ring, having become only the second competitor in history to go 2-0 against Brock Lesnar on pay-per-view.
