WWE SmackDown LIVE 900 Results: November 15, 2016By Cassidy| November 16, 2016 WWE SmackDown Previous Page Detailed Results The 900th episode of SmackDown LIVE kicks off with SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon and SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan as Shane welcomes everyone to the 900th episode of SmackDown LIVE. Daniel then promotes the return of WWE Hall of Famer Edge for The Cutting Edge before saying that, after three and a half years, they will see the return of The Undertaker. Shane then says that they cannot think of a better way to kick off the 900th episode of SmackDown LIVE than with a match for the Intercontinental Championship. After defeating The Miz at No Mercy last month to win the Intercontinental Championship and also keep his career alive, the rematch would take place on the 900th episode of SmackDown LIVE as “The Show Off” Dolph Ziggler would defend the prestigious Intercontinental Championship against The Miz, with Maryse in his corner, with the winner heading to Survivor Series to defend the Intercontinental Championship against RAW’s Sami Zayn. During the evenly matched contest, The Miz would try to roll-up Dolph Ziggler with his feet on the middle rope for the illegal advantage, but the attempt at cheating was caught by the referee. Later on in the match, The Miz would hit Daniel Bryan’s signature running knee, following it up with the Skull Crushing Finale, but Dolph was able to kick out! The champion would then battle back, scoring with the Zig Zag to The Miz, but The Miz is barely able to get his foot on the bottom rope before the three-count. As Dolph sizes Miz up for the super kick, The Spirit Squad comes out, getting on the ring apron to distract Ziggler and The Miz would take advantage, locking in the Figure-Four Leg Lock with Ziggler pulling his way to the bottom rope to break the hold. Dolph then rolls The Miz up in a small package, but unbeknownst to the referee, Maryse pushes Dolph from the outside, allowing The Miz to reverse the roll-up and score the three-count to become the new Intercontinental Champion for the sixth time in his career! Following his controversial loss of the title, Dolph Ziggler sits in disbelief in the ring as The Miz and Maryse celebrate The Miz’s Intercontinental Title win as it will be The Miz who will represent SmackDown LIVE when he defends the Intercontinental Title against RAW’s Sami Zayn at Survivor Series! Before he faces RAW’s The Brian Kendrick for the Cruiserweight Title and with the entire Cruiserweight Division on the line for SmackDown LIVE this Sunday at Survivor Series, Kalisto would go one-on-one with NXT competitor Oney Lorcan. Despite an impressive onslaught from Oney Lorcan, Kalisto would only need to hit the Salida del Sol to put the NXT competitor away, pinning Lorcan for the win. Before they will be forced to work together on Team SmackDown LIVE in the Women’s Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match against the women of Team RAW this Sunday night, two rivals would square off on the 900th episode of SmackDown LIVE as Nikki Bella would go one-on-one with Carmella. Early on in the match, Carmella would set her sights on trying to put Nikki Bella back on the shelf, targeting the surgically repaired neck and even hitting a neckbreaker on Nikki on the floor on the outside! Later on in the match, with both Nikki Bella and Carmella down in the ring, the crowd’s attention would turn to someone in the crowd as RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte takes a seat in the front row, having bought a ticket for SmackDown LIVE. The match would then spill to the outside where Charlotte would decide to taunt Nikki Bella and Nikki would respond by hitting the RAW Women’s Champion with a right hand before dragging Charlotte over the barricade and into the ring! With the match thrown out, the respective captains of Team SmackDown LIVE and Team RAW would brawl in the ring with Nikki Bella getting the better of the RAW Women’s Champion. However, this is when Team RAW’s Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Alicia Fox, along with Charlotte’s protégé Dana Brooke, would all come through the crowd as Team RAW looks to beat down Nikki Bella. Carmella would then enter the ring, deciding to put her differences with Nikki Bella aside for the good of her team. However, the numbers game would overwhelm Carmella and, with Nia Jax joining her RAW teammates and taking Carmella down, it looked as though Team RAW’s invasion was a success. That was before Team SmackDown LIVE’s Becky Lynch, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, and team coach Natalya would rush down to ringside to even the odds. This would spark a huge brawl between Team RAW and Team SmackDown LIVE with Nia Jax looking to destroy Becky Lynch by sending her through the ringside barricade, but the SmackDown Women’s Champion moves out of the way just in time and Nia sends herself crashing through the barricade. Meanwhile, Naomi would springboard off of the top rope, taking out Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Alicia Fox on the outside! Team SmackDown LIVE then stand tall in the ring as Team RAW regroups in the entranceway. Before they join forces to take on Team RAW in a Tag Team Traditional 10-on-10 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match at Survivor Series, The Hype Bros, The Usos, American Alpha, and Breezango, with SmackDown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater & Rhyno in their corner, would face the team of The Spirit Squad, The Ascension, The Vaudevillains, and The Headbangers in a massive 16-Man Tag match! At the end of a wild 16-Man Tag match, it was Breezango taking out The Spirit Squad before The Ascension disposes of Breezango and The Hype Bros get rid of The Ascension. The Hype Bros then sacrifice themselves to take The Vaudevillains out of the ring before The Usos dive to the outside, taking out the mass of humanity. Back in the ring, American Alpha hits Thrasher with Grand Amplitude as Chad Gable pins Thrasher to pick up the win for The Hype Bros, The Usos, American Alpha, and Breezango, showing great team unity before their battle against Team RAW at Survivor Series. Then it was time for the return of a WWE Hall of Famer as eleven-time former World Champion Edge would make a special appearance on the 900th episode of SmackDown LIVE as “The Rated-R Superstar” would host The Cutting Edge with his guests Team SmackDown LIVE. After pledging his allegiance to the blue brand, Edge would introduce Team SmackDown LIVE as WWE World Champion AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, team mascot James Ellsworth, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, and SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon would make their way to the ring. Edge says that SmackDown LIVE is a “beacon of light” and it’s all thanks to one man, shaking the hand of James Ellsworth! Ellsworth says that he’s a big fan of Edge and it would be an honor if he could do a five-second pose with the Hall of Famer. However, AJ Styles calls a halt to this as the champion says that no one cares about James Ellsworth and no one cares about Edge. Styles then tells Edge to ask questions to someone who matters and Edge does this by addressing his former tag team partner Randy Orton. The Hall of Famer asks “The Viper” what has happened to him, asking if Orton needs Bray Wyatt to pull the string to make him talk. Bray Wyatt tells Edge that the Randy Orton that Edge knew is “dead” and, at Survivor Series, the entire world will see a “far more dangerous viper”. Edge responds by telling Shane McMahon that he has his work cut out for him if he wants Team SmackDown LIVE to survive this Sunday. The Commissioner says that no one on Team SmackDown LIVE has to like each other, but they have to be on the same page at Survivor Series. Shane then says that AJ Styles may be the “face that runs the place” but this is “our team”, saying SmackDown LIVE is the “money show”. Styles says that they are going to get along because he is going to make sure of it, calling Dean Ambrose a “hothead”. Ambrose says that AJ is lucky that he decided to “play nice” because, once Survivor Series is over, he’s coming after Styles at WWE TLC and he is going to take the WWE World Title back. AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose then get in each other’s faces and this is when the unmistakable gong of The Undertaker sounds throughout the arena, signifying the return of “The Deadman” to SmackDown LIVE! After a three and a half year absence from SmackDown, The Undertaker would make his signature, haunting entrance as “The Phenom” makes his way down the ramp for the first time since WrestleMania. As Edge and Team SmackDown LIVE stand with their gaze focused on The Undertaker, the legend enters the ring and immediately locks eyes with the man he defeated at WrestleMania, Shane McMahon. The Undertaker then grabs a microphone, saying that there is no better man to be the Commissioner of SmackDown LIVE than the man that has “no fear”, literally tipping his hat to Shane McMahon. The Undertaker states that he is there for two reasons, saying that WrestleMania will no longer defy who he is, declaring that he’s back and he’s “taking souls” and “digging holes”! The Undertaker continues, saying that Survivor Series is where The Undertaker was “born” and SmackDown has always been his “home”. This brings The Undertaker to the second reason that he’s out there, telling Team SmackDown LIVE that there is no reason to “fear failure”, but if they fail, they will have reason to fear “The Deadman”! The Undertaker then proclaims that Team RAW had better “rest in peace” this Sunday. What did you think of SmackDown LIVE’s 900th episode? Post your comments in the box below.
