WWE Spoilers: Three new matches announced for BattlegroundBy Cassidy| July 12, 2016 Wrestling News The fourth annual WWE Battleground will come to you, live on the WWE Network, a week from this Sunday night on July 24 from the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. As announced on last night’s RAW, twelve-time former World Champion and Brock Lesnar’s opponent at SummerSlam, Randy Orton, will make his first live appearance at Battleground since his shoulder injury back in November as “The Viper” will be a guest on Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel. It was also announced on RAW that The Miz will defend the Intercontinental Championship at the event. WWE.com also announced that the United States Title will be defended at Battleground as well as a 6-Man Tag pitting The New Day against The Wyatt Family.
