WWE RAW Results: June 20, 2016By Cassidy| June 21, 2016 WWE Raw Running The Asylum. One night after a shocking WWE Money-in-the-Bank, the 1204th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you, live, from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, AZ. At WWE Money-in-the-Bank, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins lived up to the hype with the former Shield teammates giving it their all for the top prize in WWE and, after two Pedigrees, Seth Rollins was able to keep “The Big Dog” down for the three-count to become the brand new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. However, earlier in the night, Dean Ambrose defeated Sami Zayn, Cesaro, Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens, & Alberto Del Rio in the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match to earn himself a guaranteed shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship any time he sees fit. After the main event, Dean Ambrose would spot the perfect opportunity to cash in as “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” would ambush new champion Seth Rollins with a briefcase shot to the face handing his Money-in-the-Bank briefcase over to the referee, officially cashing in his Money-in-the-Bank contract for an impromptu WWE World Heavyweight Championship match and, one Dirty Deeds later, Dean Ambrose had pinned Seth Rollins to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career. One night removed from both of them losing the WWE World Heavyweight Title on the same night, what will Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have to say about losing the title? What will new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dean Ambrose have to say about cashing in and winning the title? Match Results Sami Zayn def. Kevin Owens by roll-up. Enzo & Cass def. The Vaudevillains by Enzo Amore pinning Aiden English following the Bada Boom Shakalaka. John Cena def. Karl Anderson by DQ after AJ Styles & Luke Gallows interfere. Baron Corbin def. Zack Ryder by pin following the End of Days. Women’s Championship: Charlotte (c) (with Dana Brooke) def. Paige by pin following Natural Selection after Dana Brooke distracts the referee to retain. #1 Contender’s Match: Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins fight to a double count-out. As a result, neither man is the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. See page 2 for detailed results.
