WWE WrestleMania 32 ResultsBy Cassidy| April 4, 2016 WWE PPVs Previous Page Detailed Results Following a soulful rendition of “America The Beautiful” by Fifth Harmony, it was time for the biggest live event of the year to get underway as WrestleMania 32 would kick off with the Intercontinental Championship hanging high above the ring as Kevin Owens would make his WrestleMania debut, putting his Intercontinental Title on the line against his former friend Sami Zayn, “The Show Off” Dolph Ziggler, the self-proclaimed “A-Lister” The Miz, “The Prince of Dark Matter” Stardust, the masked high flyer Sin Cara, and “The Long Island Iced Z” Zack Ryder in a huge Ladder Match where the first Superstar to climb a ladder and retrieve the title belt will walk out of WrestleMania as the Intercontinental Champion. The action would kick off quickly and it would come down to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn brawling in the ring before Dolph Ziggler breaks it up and each of the seven Superstars would get their shots in. The Miz would then be the first man to make a climb for the championship but Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler would tip the ladder over before Sami takes Dolph out with the Blue Thunder Bomb. Kevin Owens then picks Sami up, launching Zayn over his head with a big back body drop onto a ladder propped up on the top rope. Zack Ryder then enters the ring with the Rough Ryder to Owens before both Ryder and Ziggler are sent to the outside. With everyone on the outside, Sami Zayn would try to set up the ladder, but The Miz would intervene and Sami Zayn would instead dive through the ladder to the outside, taking out five of his six opponents. Sami then hits the plancha DDT on Kevin Owens on the outside before making a climb for the Intercontinental Title, but Sin Cara pulls Zayn off of the ladder. Sin Cara then climbs the ladder, but Sami Zayn tips the ladder over and Sin Cara bounces off of the top rope with a springboard to take out four of his opponents on the outside! On the outside, Dolph Ziggler lays Sami Zayn out with a super kick before heading back into the ring, dropping both The Miz and Sin Cara with super kicks. Ryder then looks for the Rough Ryder but Dolph counters, delivering a super kick to Ryder as well. “The Show Off” then climbs the ladder, but Kevin Owens pulls Dolph off of the ladder before both men go for super kicks, taking each other out. Stardust then pulls his own custom ladder out from under the ring, adorned in polka dots in honor of his late father Dusty Rhodes. However, The Miz would ultimately plant Stardust face-first on the ladder in the ring with the Skull Crushing Finale. After taking out The Miz, Kevin Owens would show no respect for “The American Dream”, tossing the custom ladder out of the ring. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens would then square off again with Owens getting the better of the battle, placing Sami on a ladder before coming off of the top rope with a big frog splash! Owens then plants The Miz with the Pop-Up Powerbomb in the center of the ring before Zack Ryder comes off of the top of a giant ladder with his El-Bro Drop. Zack Ryder then climbs the ladder, but Dolph Ziggler meets Ryder at the top of the ladder, sacrificing himself to take Ryder out as both men dive off of the ladder with Ryder going face-first into the mat. Injuring his knee in the process, Dolph would still try to climb the ladder, but Kevin Owens would pull Ziggler off of the ladder, planting Dolph with the Pop-Up Powerbomb. Stardust then scores with the Queen’s Crossbow to Owens before Sin Cara places Stardust on a ladder bridged on the outside. Sin Cara then climbs the ladder in the ring, but Owens tips the ladder over and Sin Cara falls to the outside, landing on Stardust as both men are sent crashing through the ladder, snapping the ladder in half! Owens then climbs to the top of the ladder, but he is met by Sami Zayn as the former friends exchange shots before the champion uses a thumb to the eye to knock Sami off of the ladder. However, Sami would remain in the fight, delivering a vicious suplex to Kevin Owens on a ladder, leaving Owens motionless. Sami then climbs the ladder, but The Miz would tip the ladder over, taking Zayn out before The Miz would climb the ladder. Just when it looked like The Miz was sure to win the title, Zack Ryder would knock The Miz off of the top of the ladder before the unthinkable happens as Zack Ryder retrieves the Intercontinental Title belt to finally get his WrestleMania moment, becoming the brand new Intercontinental Champion! The new champion then celebrates with his father in the ring before Ryder climbs to the top of the ladder, holding the Intercontinental Title belt high, having achieved a dream of a lifetime. In a battle of former tag team partners, “The Phenomenal One” would make his surreal arrival on “The Grandest Stage of Them All” as AJ Styles would go one-on-one with six-time former World Champion and WrestleMania veteran Chris Jericho. Throughout another classic match between the two veteran competitors, AJ Styles and Chris Jericho would trade big moves and would even survive each other’s signature submission holds. Jericho then manages to avoid both the Styles Clash and the Phenomenal Forearm before scoring with the Codebreaker, but Jericho’s inability to immediately capitalize on the move would ultimately allow AJ Styles the time he needed to kick out. Looking for the ultimate humiliation on “The Grandest Stage of Them All”, Jericho would try to use the Styles Clash against AJ Styles, but “The Phenomenal One” would counter. AJ Styles is then able to plant Jericho with the Styles Clash, but “Y2J” kicks out! Shortly after this, AJ Styles would size Jericho up for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Jericho would pull the referee to him, causing Styles to hesitate and, when “The Phenomenal One” comes off of the top rope, Jericho catches Styles in mid-air with the Codebreaker, pinning AJ Styles to pick up the win! Emerging from a giant box of “Booty-O’s”, it was time for the WWE Tag Team Champions to compete for superiority at “The Show of Shows” as The New Day would face League of Nations’ members Sheamus, Rusev, & Alberto Del Rio, with King Barrett in their corner, in a 6-Man Tag match. At the end of a chaotic match, it was King Barrett getting involved with a Bull Hammer Elbow to Xavier Woods behind the back of the referee, allowing Sheamus to score with the Brogue Kick, pinning Xavier Woods to pick up the win for The League of Nations. After the match, King Barrett would crow about The League of Nations’ victory, saying that there is no three-man group who can beat them. However, this would pave the way for a major shocker as, deep in the heart of Texas, three of the best Superstars in history would take issue with this as “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, “The Hardcore Legend” Mick Foley, and “The Texas Rattlesnake” Stone Cold Steve Austin would all assemble on the stage with their gear on, ready for a fight! The three WWE Hall of Famers would then make their way to the ring and, with The New Day pulling King Barrett out of the ring, the three legends would tee off on The League of Nations! Mick Foley then pulls out Mr. Socko, using the Mandible Claw on Sheamus before Shawn Michaels blasts Alberto Del Rio with Sweet Chin Music and, finally, Stone Cold Steve Austin hits the Stunner on Rusev! The New Day then throws King Barrett into the ring where HBK hits Barrett with Sweet Chin Music as Barrett stumbles right into the Mandible Claw of Mick Foley, concluding with a Stunner to King Barrett from “The Texas Rattlesnake”! The New Day then joins the three WWE Hall of Famers in the ring as The New Day gets Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley to dance. After much coaxing, The New Day gets Stone Cold to do a little dancing before Austin drops Xavier Woods with a Stunner in classic Stone Cold style! Austin then calls for some beers as Austin, Michaels, and Foley celebrate together in the ring for an unforgettable WrestleMania moment. Then it was time for what was sure to be one of the most physical matches in WrestleMania history as “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose would collide with “The Beast” Brock Lesnar, with Paul Heyman in his corner, in a No Holds Barred Street Fight where everything is legal and there are no disqualifications or count-outs. The match starts with a methodical pace that has become the signature of Brock Lesnar as “The Beast” systematically drills Dean Ambrose with three suplexes. However, Dean Ambrose would be the first to grab a weapon as “The Lunatic Fringe” grabs a kendo stick, trying to wear Brock Lesnar out, but “The Beast” seems unaffected by the shots, snapping off a trio of suplexes before following Ambrose to the outside. Ambrose gets his hands on a couple more kendo sticks, but Brock Lesnar is the one who gets his hands on the weapon. However, Lesnar snaps the kendo stick in half, demonstrating that he doesn’t need any weapons to destroy his opponent. Brock then drills Ambrose with two more suplexes, keeping Ambrose from getting his hands on the kendo stick before drilling “The Lunatic Fringe” with the eighth suplex of the match. Ambrose would then slap “The Beast” across the face, getting a few shots in before Brock levels Ambrose with a ninth suplex. Brock Lesnar then lays the kendo stick in the ring, daring Dean Ambrose to come and get it, but when Ambrose gets close enough, he delivers a low blow to “The Beast”! Ambrose then delivers a series of kendo stick shots to Brock Lesnar, forcing Brock out of the ring before “The Lunatic Fringe” dives to the outside, taking Lesnar down. Ambrose then pulls the chainsaw out from under the ring that was gifted to him by Terry Funk, but the chainsaw doesn’t start, allowing Brock to deliver a suplex to Ambrose on the floor. Again luring “The Beast” in, Ambrose grabs a laptop off of the German announce table, using it as a weapon before following Lesnar back into the ring. “The Lunatic Fringe” then climbs to the top rope, but Brock is quick to meet Ambrose at the top rope, delivering a big suplex off of the top rope! Ambrose then rolls to the outside again, this time spraying a fire extinguisher in the face of “The Beast” before using a steel chair to weaken Brock in the corner before delivering a dropkick to the chair into Lesnar. Ambrose follows this up with an elbow drop off of the top rope with the steel chair, but Brock kicks out and “The Lunatic Fringe” piles several steel chairs in the ring. Before Dean Ambrose can use the chairs, however, Brock Lesnar snaps off another suplex to Dean Ambrose before going for the F-5 on the pile of steel, but “The Lunatic Fringe” counters, spiking Brock Lesnar with Dirty Deeds on the steel! Somehow, “The Beast” manages to kick out and this leads to Dean Ambrose grabbing his other gift, pulling the barbed wire covered baseball bat given to him by Mick Foley out from under the ring. Ambrose would swing and miss and Brock would snap off another suplex, this time onto the pile of steel chairs, following it up with the F-5 on the steel pile, pinning Dean Ambrose to pick up the win in a hellacious Street Fight. The Divas would then take center stage at WrestleMania as, with WWE Hall of Famer Lita unveiling the new WWE Women’s Championship belt on the WrestleMania Kickoff, WrestleMania 32 would see the final appearance of the Divas Championship. Becky Lynch would make her entrance first, followed by a special entrance for “The Boss” as Sasha Banks’ cousin and new WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg would rap over Sasha’s entrance before escorting Sasha Banks to the ring for the historic title match with Sasha wearing ring gear inspired by the late, great Eddie Guerrero. Lastly, the champion would make her way to the ring as Charlotte’s gear would pay homage to her father with her entrance, giving the Divas Championship one last showcase on “The Grandest Stage of Them All”. The final Divas Champion in WWE history would then enter the ring as Charlotte would stand tall with the Divas Title belt one last time before the Triple Threat Match for the brand new Women’s Championship gets underway. Throughout the match, Becky Lynch would work over the left arm of Charlotte and, when Charlotte locks in the Figure-Four, Sasha Banks would come off of the top rope with a frog splash, paying homage to Eddie Guerrero, but Charlotte would kick out. Becky then comes back into the ring, snapping off a modified pumphandle slam to Charlotte before Sasha regains the advantage in the match before Sasha spots an opening to take Charlotte out, diving to the outside. Ric Flair and Sasha then “Woo” at each other before Becky goes for a dive on Sasha and Sasha pulls Ric Flair in the way and Becky takes out the Hall of Famer! Shortly after this, Charlotte climbs to the top rope with a picture perfect moonsault to the outside, taking out both Sasha and Becky! Back in the ring, Charlotte would hit a double Natural Selection on both of her opponents, but both of them would kick out. Becky would then lock in the Dis-Arm-Her on Charlotte before Sasha Banks intervenes, locking in the Bank Statement on Becky Lynch. However, Charlotte would lock in the Figure-Four on Sasha and both Divas would go counter-for-counter before Charlotte is able to lock on the Figure-Eight, but Becky pulls Sasha to the apron, breaking the hold. All three competitors then exchange shots in the ring before Charlotte levels Sasha with the Spear. Becky then tackles Charlotte into the corner, putting Charlotte on the top rope, but as Charlotte and Becky battle on the top rope, Sasha shoves Becky off of the top rope before Becky blasts Sasha, hanging “The Boss” up in the corner before Becky delivers a Beck-plex off of the top rope. Charlotte then manages to roll out of the ring before Sasha locks in the Bank Statement on Becky. However, Charlotte would come back into the ring, throwing Sasha out before locking in the Figure-Eight on Becky and, as Ric Flair keeps Sasha from entering the ring, Becky taps out as Charlotte wins the match and becomes the first ever WWE Women’s Champion, ushering in a new era in the Women’s division in WWE! Then it was time for the course of WWE to potentially change forever inside WWE’s most demonic structure as Shane McMahon would return to “The Grandest Stage of Them All” to go one-on-one with the legendary “Phenom” The Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell and, if Shane McMahon wins, he gets control of RAW and, if The Undertaker fails to beat Shane, then The Undertaker will never compete at WrestleMania again. Shane McMahon would make his grand entrance first with money raining down in the arena as Shane is joined on the stage by his three sons, who join Shane for his entrance before joining Shane’s wife in the front row. The Undertaker would then make his iconic entrance, symbolically shutting the Hell in a Cell door behind him before entering the ring as the match gets underway. Early on in the match, Shane would look to use his quickness to combat The Undertaker, but “The Phenom” would catch his quicker opponent, using his size and strength to slow Shane down. The Undertaker would continue to pummel Shane McMahon, bringing Shane outside the ring and sending Shane face-first into the steel structure. The Undertaker then gets his hands on the steel steps, but Shane is quick to head back into the ring before “The Deadman” drags Shane back to the outside, sending Shane into the structure before hitting his signature guillotine leg drop. Back in the ring, The Undertaker would hoist Shane McMahon up, driving Shane down with the Last Ride, but much to the surprise of The Undertaker, Shane kicks out. The Undertaker then brings the larger bottom half of the steel steps into the ring, but when The Undertaker goes for Shane, Shane traps The Undertaker in a triangle choke! After Shane is forced to break the hold to avoid being pinned, The Undertaker would grab Shane, delivering a chokeslam onto the steel steps, but Shane kicks out again! “The Phenom” then goes for an elbow drop to Shane, but Shane moves out of the way and The Undertaker lands hard on the steel steps! Shane would then lure The Undertaker in, scoring with a big DDT, planting The Undertaker face-first on the steel, but The Undertaker would kick out. Both men would then exchange shots before “The Deadman” grabs Shane, locking in Hell’s Gate. Somehow, in an incredible sight, Shane would manage to counter Hell’s Gate, turning it into the Sharpshooter, but The Undertaker would fight out. Shane then pummels The Undertaker in the corner before grabbing a metal trash can from under the ring, placing it on the chest of “The Phenom” before Shane climbs the top rope, diving off of the top rope, going Coast-to-Coast and driving the trash can into The Undertaker! Shane would then go for the pin, but The Undertaker kicks out again. Shane McMahon then looks at the roof of the Hell in a Cell structure before exiting the ring, grabbing bolt cutters from under the ring, using the bolt cutters to cut the bolts in one corner of the structure. Shane then turns his attention back to The Undertaker, but “The Phenom” battles back, picking Shane up and slamming Shane into the Cell wall as the steel panel breaks away from the Cell! The Undertaker is the first to his feet and, with both combatants now free from the Hell in a Cell structure, The Undertaker would expose the main announce table before exposing the Spanish announce table as well. “The Deadman” then picks up a television monitor, twice smashing it into the head of Shane McMahon. The Undertaker then loads Shane up for the Tombstone Piledriver on a platform attached to the barricade, but Shane would fight out, locking in a sleeper hold on The Undertaker. However, “The Phenom” would then sacrifice himself to break the sleeper hold, leaping off of the platform with Shane on his back as both men go crashing through the Spanish announce table! Shane then gets his hands on a metal toolbox, twice blasting The Undertaker in the face with the box of tools, leaving The Undertaker prone on the main announce table. The fearless McMahon then looks up to the top of the Hell in a Cell structure again before picking up a television monitor, delivering another shot to the head of “The Phenom”. With The Undertaker out of it on the announce table, Shane would do the unthinkable as Shane climbs to the roof of the Hell in a Cell structure. Shane would then put his life on the line as Shane leaps off of the towering structure, but The Undertaker moves out of the way and Shane crashes and burns as the announce table explodes with the impact of Shane’s fall, shocking even The Undertaker! Miraculously, Shane McMahon survives the fall and even taunts The Undertaker before “The Deadman” picks Shane up and puts Shane back in the ring. With Shane nearly motionless, Shane would taunt The Undertaker one last time before The Undertaker delivers the final blow, spiking Shane with the Tombstone Piledriver, finally securing the three-count to emerge victorious in an unforgettable match at WrestleMania. The Undertaker then kneels in the ring, having not only increased his record to 23-1 at WrestleMania, but keeping his WrestleMania career intact. The Undertaker then removes his gloves and exits the Hell in a Cell structure, making the slow walk to the back as medical personnel make their way to the ring to tend to Shane McMahon. The Undertaker then looks back at the ring, smiling before continuing his walk to the back. Meanwhile, in the ring, medical personnel tend to Shane, putting Shane on a backboard, fastening Shane to the board as the crowd applauds Shane’s efforts. Shane is then loaded onto a medical cart before Shane is escorted to the back as Shane manages to give the fans a thumbs up as he is no doubt escorted to a local medical facility. WrestleMania then plays host to the special battle royal to pay homage to the great Andre The Giant as twenty Superstars would compete in the third annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The ring would then fill with Superstars as Heath Slater, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, Adam Rose, Darren Young, Damien Sandow, Jack Swagger, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, Baron Corbin, R-Truth, Goldust, Konnor, Viktor, and even the legendary Tatanka all enter the ring. Texas native and “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry and “The Big Red Machine” Kane before the battle royal gets a surprise entrant as former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page makes his way to the ring, followed by last year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show. However, the world is shocked by the next surprise entrant as NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal makes his entrance to be a part of the battle royal! The match then starts with a stare down between Shaq and Big Show before Kane gets involved, trying to chokeslam both Shaq and Big Show. However, Shaq and Big Show would counter with a double chokeslam to Kane! The rest of the competitors would then join the fray, but Big Show, Mark Henry, and Shaq takes everyone down before Big Show levels Mark Henry with the Knockout Punch, leaving Shaq and Big Show standing in the ring. Shaq and Big Show would then go face-to-face again before Fandango makes the ill-advised decision to get into the ring before he is easily eliminated by Big Show. Damien Sandow then enters the ring, but is easily tossed over the top rope by Shaq before Shaq and Big Show go face-to-face again. Shaq and Big Show then grab each other by the throat before the rest of the competitors come back into the ring, all working together to eliminate both Shaq and Big Show! With Shaq and Big Show gone, the remaining competitors would battle it out in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, including Diamond Dallas Page, who would plant Viktor with the Diamond Cutter before eliminating Viktor from the match. DDP would then look for the Diamond Cutter on Konnor, but Konnor would counter, eliminating DDP before R-Truth and Goldust work together to eliminate Konnor. Tatanka then has his run in the battle royal as the legend charges at Adam Rose, but Rose moves out of the way as Baron Corbin uses Tatanka’s own momentum to eliminate the legend from the battle royal. Kane then eliminates Jack Swagger from the match before The Social Outcasts start to take over. R-Truth would then target Curtis Axel before Heath Slater and Adam Rose come from behind, eliminating R-Truth. This brings Goldust into the fray, but “The Bizarre One” is ultimately eliminated by Curtis Axel. The Social Outcasts then take a victory lap in the ring before they come face-to-face with Kane and Baron Corbin. The two big men then dismantle The Social Outcasts with Kane eliminating Curtis Axel and Baron Corbin eliminating Adam Rose. Kane then plants Baron Corbin with a chokeslam before Mark Henry re-asserts himself in the match, eliminating Heath Slater and Tyler Breeze. With five competitors left in the battle royal, Kane and Mark Henry would trade shots before Kane goes for the elimination with Darren Young assisting Kane to eliminate “The World’s Strongest Man”. Kane then single-handedly eliminates both Darren Young and Bo Dallas before the opportunistic Baron Corbin comes from behind, eliminating Kane from the battle royal as NXT’s Baron Corbin wins the match to become the third winner of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal! Having come from NXT to arrive in a major way on the big stage of WrestleMania, “The Lone Wolf” stands next to the Andre The Giant Memorial Trophy, having earned the victory of a lifetime. The one and only Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders would then do a special live performance on the stage of WrestleMania before “The Great One” makes good on his promise as The Rock arrives at WrestleMania! Bringing the heat with his own flamethrower, using the flames to ignite his own name in flames on “The Grandest Stage of Them All” before The Rock walks past the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders on his way to the ring. After proclaiming that “finally, The Rock has come back to WrestleMania”, The Rock says that he sees a lot of “smiling faces” in the crowd. The Rock then says that he has been talking about this moment for months, saying that he promised that they were going to make “history”. The Rock continues, saying that records were “made to be broken” before revealing that the crowd in Dallas has officially broken the all-time WrestleMania attendance record with the AT&T Stadium housing 101,763 fans for “The Show of Shows”! Pyro then erupts to celebrate this new record before The Rock proclaims that, now, it’s going to “get good”. However, The Rock’s address is then interrupted by the arrival of The Wyatt Family as Bray Wyatt leads Erick Rowan & Braun Strowman to ringside. Bray Wyatt first introduces himself and his family to The Rock before Bray says that he has come to WrestleMania as a “reminder of the truth”. Bray then says that the “truth” is that he chose The Rock because The Rock represents “success” and “greatness”. Now in the ring, Bray says that The Rock represents a “lie”, saying that this is not The Rock’s moment and it is certainly not the fans’ moment, it is his moment. Bray continues, saying that he is going to “eviscerate” The Rock at WrestleMania and he is going to make The Rock’s people watch every second of it. The Rock responds by mocking Bray Wyatt, saying that it sounds like Bray has been “hitting the bong” for about eight days straight. This brings Erick Rowan & Braun Strowman into the ring, but The Rock doesn’t back down as The Rock then insults Erick Rowan, saying that Rowan looks like his parents are “related”. The Rock then says that Braun Strowman looks like he was “breast fed” until he was “twenty-six years old”. The Rock continues, saying that he knows who Bray Wyatt is, saying that Bray has “got it all”, saying Bray is a “revolutionary”. The Rock then says that Bray is knocking on a door that he doesn’t want answered before saying that Bray looks like the “eater of Hot Pockets”. Bray then says that he didn’t come there to knock on a door, he came to “kick one down”, saying that The Rock has no idea who he’s messing with. The Rock then takes off his shirt, saying that they are not going to have a WrestleMania “fight”, they are going to have a WrestleMania “match”! The Rock then calls for a referee before he tears of his pants, revealing that he was wearing his wrestling gear the entire time! The Rock then puts on his elbow pads as Erick Rowan is the one chosen to go one-on-one with “The Great One”. However, as soon as the bell rings, The Rock plants Erick Rowan with the Rock Bottom, pinning Rowan in a record of six seconds in the fastest match in WrestleMania history! The Wyatt Family then surrounds The Rock, but in a surreal moment, The Rock is saved by an unexpected ally as none other than John Cena makes his surprise return at WrestleMania! Returning to action well ahead of schedule, John Cena would join The Rock in the ring and, together, The Rock and John Cena would dismantle The Wyatt Family with The Rock taking Braun Strowman out with the Rock Bottom. John Cena then plants Erick Rowan with the Attitude Adjustment before Bray Wyatt looks for Sister Abigail, but Cena counters, shoving Bray right into The Rock as “The Great One” plants Bray Wyatt with a spinebuster before scoring with the People’s Elbow! The Rock then tells John Cena “welcome back” before the two former rivals celebrate in the ring together, creating another unforgettable WrestleMania moment. Then it was time for the main event as it would be the culmination of one of the most intense and personal feuds in WWE as the top prize in the wrestling business would be on the line at the biggest live event in the world in front of the biggest crowd in WrestleMania history as Roman Reigns would step foot on “The Grandest Stage of Them All” to go one-on-one with one of the most dominant Superstars in WWE history, “The Game” and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H. With a chilling entrance aided by his wife, Stephanie McMahon, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H would step onto a stage adorned by faceless clones carrying replica title belts as the WrestleMania veteran makes his way to the ring with Stephanie by his side. Roman Reigns then makes his entrance, driving his fist into the stage as pyro erupts inside and outside the AT&T Stadium before Roman makes his way to the ring, ready to go one-on-one with the fourteen-time World Champion on the grand stage of WrestleMania with the gold on the line. With the crowd solidly behind Triple H and solidly against Roman Reigns, the main event of WrestleMania gets underway. Early on in the match, Roman Reigns hits the Drive-By on Triple H, but the champion is quick to kick out. Roman then has Triple H in the corner and this is when Stephanie McMahon gets on the ring apron, distracting the referee, allowing Triple H to catch Reigns with a low blow. Champion and challenger would then exchange shots in the ring before Triple H plants Reigns with the spinebuster before “The Game” brings Roman to the outside. Looking to destroy the face of Roman Reigns like he did back in February, Triple H would repeatedly bounce Roman’s face off of the German announce table before Reigns briefly fights back. However, the champion then tosses the challenger over the German announce table and, with Roman positioned on the table, Triple H would charge at Reigns, scoring with a big neckbreaker on the floor. Back in the ring, Triple H would score with a knee to the head of the challenger, but when Triple H goes for a second knee, Reigns is prepared as Roman catches “The Game” with a right hand. Shortly after this, Reigns would go for the Superman Punch, but Triple H would roll out of the ring. Reigns would then launch himself at the champion on the outside, taking Triple H down with a clothesline before sending Triple H shoulder-first into the steel steps. Roman then rolls Triple H back into the ring, but “The Game” rolls right back out of the ring, sending Reigns into the steel steps before hurling Roman over the German announce table again. Reigns would then come out of nowhere, charging full force at the champion, driving Triple H through the barricade with the Spear! Stephanie then checks on Triple H, as does the referee, but Stephanie orders the referee to go back into the ring and start his count in the hopes that the match ends in a count-out, which would keep the title with her husband. However, both champion and challenger would make it back into the ring before the ten-count before Reigns goes for the Superman Punch, but Triple H catches Roman, keeping the challenger down with a modified armbar, wrenching on both arms of Roman Reigns. Roman would manage to get one arm free, but Triple H would keep the other arm in his grasp before Reigns powers out of the submission, planting Triple H with a powerbomb that nearly puts “The Game” away, but Triple H kicks out. The champion then goes right back to the arm, locking in the armbar again, but the challenger again powers out, breaking the hold with a powerbomb. Roman then looks for the Spear but Triple H counters, looking for the Pedigree before Reigns lifts Triple H up and over the top rope to the outside. Reigns then goes for a dive to the outside, but gets caught with a right hand from “The Game”. However, when Triple H enters the ring, he is blasted with the Spear, but, when Roman goes for the pin, Stephanie pulls the referee out of the ring. The referee gets right back into the ring to try and make the count, but those few extra seconds would allow Triple H the time he needed to kick out. Stephanie then gets on the ring apron, but when the referee doesn’t pay attention to Stephanie, the Principal Owner gets in the ring, getting in the face of the referee. Meanwhile, Triple H uses the referee to get to his feet before Roman Reigns charges at Triple H with the intent of blasting the champion with the Spear, but Triple H moves out of the way and Reigns inadvertently spears Stephanie! Triple H is then quick to capitalize on the situation as “The Game” plants Reigns with the Pedigree, but Roman kicks out! Both men then make it back to their feet with Reigns catching Triple H with the Superman Punch before the challenger sizes Triple H up for the Spear, but “The Game” counters the charging Roman, catching the challenger with a knee to the face! Triple H then crawls to the ring apron as Stephanie manages to pull Triple H’s signature sledgehammer out from under the ring, handing it to the champion. With the apparent intent of getting himself disqualified to keep the title, Triple H would look to deliver a sledgehammer shot to Reigns, but Roman would catch Triple H with the Superman Punch. Reigns then delivers a second Superman Punch before setting Triple H for the Spear again and the champion would try to catch Roman with the sledgehammer, but Roman would duck the shot before blasting Triple H with the Spear, knocking the sledgehammer out of Triple H’s hands as Reigns makes the cover, scoring the three-count to finally achieve the dream that was stolen from him last year as Roman Reigns wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania! Roman Reigns then stands tall with the gold held high as pyro erupts inside and outside of the arena, ushering in a new era on “The Grandest Stage of Them All”. What did you think of WrestleMania 32?
