WWE RAW Results: March 14, 2016By Cassidy| March 15, 2016 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results RAW kicks off with gold on the line as, after defeating Sheamus & King Barrett to retain the titles at WWE Roadblock, The New Day would be faced with the other half of The League of Nations as The New Day’s Big E & Xavier Woods, with Kofi Kingston in their corner, would defend the WWE Tag Team Titles against League of Nations’ members Rusev & Alberto Del Rio, with Sheamus & King Barrett in their corner. During the match, Rusev was about to lock in the Accolade on Xavier Woods when Kofi Kingston would get on the ring apron. Sheamus & King Barrett would attempt to take Kofi out, but Kofi would use his quickness to take Sheamus out with a clothesline off of the ring apron before sending Barrett over the barricade. Rusev would then reach out of the ring to grab Kofi and Xavier Woods would take advantage, rolling Rusev up and grabbing the tights for the illegal advantage to secure the three-count and successfully retain the WWE Tag Team Titles for The New Day. After the match, The League of Nations would target Kofi Kingston, sending Kofi into the steel ring post. Big E then takes down Sheamus, but the numbers game would overwhelm Big E as well as the four men beat Big E down before standing tall over the fallen members of The New Day. However, The League of Nations was not through there as Sheamus picks up Kofi Kingston, holding Kofi up as King Barrett blasts Kofi with the Bull Hammer Elbow. Rusev & Barrett then hold Big E up for Sheamus as “The Celtic Warrior” blasts Big E with the Brogue Kick before the fearsome group sets their sights on Xavier Woods and, while Xavier tries his best to fight off The League of Nations, he too would succumb to the beat down as Alberto Del Rio would land his double stomp off of the top rope to Woods. Rusev then drags Xavier to the center of the ring, locking a helpless Woods in the Accolade before The League of Nations celebrate, having laid waste to the WWE Tag Team Champions. After coming up short of winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Roadblock in a punishing match against Triple H, “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose would make his way to the ring. Ambrose says that he was “this close” to flipping WWE “upside down” and he made a mistake at WWE Roadblock and he came up short in his quest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Ambrose then says that Triple H learned what happens when he is not shown the “proper respect” before Ambrose turns his attention to WrestleMania. However, before “The Lunatic Fringe” can even address his WrestleMania opponent, he is interrupted by said opponent as “The Beast” Brock Lesnar, along with his advocate Paul Heyman, come out to the stage. Heyman says that he is the only “voice of reason” that is saving Dean Ambrose from catching a “hellacious” beating at the hands of Brock Lesnar. Ambrose responds by telling Heyman to let Brock “off of his leash”, but the advocate keeps “The Beast” back before Heyman says that any match that Brock Lesnar is the “main event” and, at WrestleMania, Ambrose is going to get an “ass-kicking” from Lesnar. Heyman then pleads with Ambrose to “stop provoking Brock Lesnar” because, if Lesnar comes down to the ring, Ambrose will not make it to WrestleMania. Heyman then says that, if Ambrose doesn’t make it to WrestleMania, then “The Beast” won’t have an opponent because Ambrose is the only one who is crazy enough to challenge Brock. Dean Ambrose then argues that he doesn’t need to provoke Brock Lesnar, saying that it looks like Brock wants to come down to the ring and fight right now. Paul Heyman then quickly promotes the No Holds Barred Street Fight between Lesnar and Ambrose at WrestleMania before walking to the back. However, Brock Lesnar would not follow his advocate to the back as “The Beast” would make his way towards the ring as Dean Ambrose would pull a crowbar out from his jacket! “The Beast” would then circle the ring before quickly jumping on the apron, but when “The Lunatic Fringe” swings the crowbar, Brock is quick to drop off of the apron, backing away from the ring. After encouraging Kalisto to strike out on his own last week, “The Big Guy” Ryback would go one-on-one with Sin Cara on RAW, with Sin Cara’s tag team partner, United States Champion Kalisto, in his corner. In the end, it was Ryback planting Sin Cara with Shell Shocked, but “The Big Guy” would look at Kalisto before deciding to deliver a second Shell Shocked, pinning Sin Cara for the win. After the match, Kalisto enters the ring to check on Sin Cara as Ryback addresses Kalisto, saying that he just showed what happens when a “good big guy” beats a “good little guy”, saying that “size matters”. Ryback then challenges Kalisto to put the United States Title on the line against him at WrestleMania! WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon would then make her way to the ring on RAW as Stephanie would introduce her husband, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H. Joining his wife in the ring, Triple H says that, this past Saturday night at WWE Roadblock, the world watched with “hope in their eyes”, hoping that Dean Ambrose would be the “one” that could stop The Authority and he could be the “one” that could become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but Ambrose “failed”. The champion continues, saying that “hope” is a “dangerous commodity” and the fans relate to Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns because they hope that they can be the “one” that can end the reign of The Authority. Triple H then says that they all “hope” that things are going to get better and they will succeed, but when it doesn’t happen, they blame everyone but themselves. The champion then says that the fans go home from their jobs to their family who now “hates” their guts because they are a “failure”, saying that they then sit around with their friends and “drink and bitch” about their boss. Triple H continues, saying that, year-after-year, they go to a job that they “hate” and work for a boss that they “hate” and their biggest hope they have left is the hope that they will win the lottery and things will get “better”, but they don’t. The champion then says that, after thirty years, maybe they will get a watch or a clock for their years of service then they go home to their apartment because the wife left them and took the house. Triple H then says that the kids don’t come by much anymore because they’re still a “loser” and then they will find themselves in a home somewhere and, then, their only hope remaining is that it will “all be over soon”. Triple H continues, calling the fans’ lives “pathetic” and that is why Roman Reigns is their “hope” and they all hope that Reigns will be the one to bring an end to The Authority and walk out of WrestleMania as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The champion then says that, just like all of the fans’ lives, Roman will “fail” before Triple H says that he will beat Reigns at WrestleMania because The Authority “always wins”. Triple H’s address is then interrupted by an unexpected guest as “The Show Off” Dolph Ziggler makes his way to the ring wearing a suit and tie. Dolph says that he couldn’t take anymore of listening to them talk about how people need to “know their place”, saying that his place is in the ring, competing each and every night for the fans. Stephanie says that, clearly, Dolph doesn’t know his role because he’s out there right now when he should be in the back before saying that Ziggler is good, but he’s not “that good”. Dolph then asks Stephanie how many times she can threaten to fire him and, after being threatened by being fired each and every time he comes to work, he realizes that he’s got “nothing left to lose”. Dolph continues, saying that he knows that his place is in WWE and, no matter what Stephanie or The Authority says or does, he “will not quit”. Ziggler then says that he could not take any more of Triple H saying that all of the fans are “failures” and that guys like him and Dean Ambrose are “failures”, saying they are not failures, they were “screwed by the system”; The Authority’s “system”. Dolph then says that they can do whatever they want to do to him but something had to be said, saying that if they want to fire him, then fire him, but he is not going to “quit”! Stephanie then appears like she is about to fire Dolph, but Triple H intervenes, saying that they’re not going to fire Dolph because it wouldn’t be “good for business”. The champion then says that the fans “love” Dolph and he and Stephanie are smart enough to see the “big picture”, saying that they can relate to Dolph because he is a “loveable loser”. Triple H then tells Dolph that he doesn’t have to be a loser, saying that, maybe, Dolph just doesn’t have the “right people” backing him up and giving him advice and, if he did, maybe he could get everything he wants out of life. Dolph responds by saying that he wouldn’t side with The Authority if they were the last two people on earth and he wouldn’t side with Triple H nor would he side with Triple H’s “egotistical, tyrannical, idiotic wife”! Stephanie then slaps Dolph across the face before saying that she will give Dolph “hope” and the hopes of all the fans will be on the shoulders of Dolph before saying that she will give Ziggler any match he wants at WrestleMania, with the exception of a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and all Dolph has to do is win “one match” here tonight. Stephanie then says that Dolph doesn’t have what it takes to win and, not only will Dolph fail to win, she is going to break his “spirit”! Knowing full well how The Authority does business, Dolph asks how many opponents he will have, saying that he doesn’t care what odds they put against him, he will compete and he will “take it”. Stephanie then reveals that Dolph will go one-on-one with none other than her husband, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H! With Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens a guest on commentary, Sami Zayn was in action on RAW as Sami would go one-on-one with The Miz. During the match, Sami Zayn would dive out of the ring, taking The Miz out on the outside. This is when Kevin Owens would get out of his seat, presumably to try and cost Sami the match, but instead, The Miz blasts the Intercontinental Champion from behind, earning a bit of payback from when Owens abandoned The Miz on SmackDown. Shortly after this, Kevin Owens would get on the ring apron, distracting The Miz and actually helping Sami Zayn pick up the win as Sami blasts Miz with the Helluva Kick, pinning Miz for the win. The Divas were in action on RAW as Brie Bella & Alicia Fox would face Naomi & Tamina. Before the match gets underway, Lana makes her way to ringside before the match begins. During the match, Lana would distract the referee, letting Naomi & Tamina hit a double team powerslam on Brie Bella with Tamina pinning Brie for the win. After the match, Alicia Fox would confront Lana on the outside, but Alicia would turn right around into a double super kick from Naomi & Tamina. Backstage, an interview with Paige regarding Total Divas is interrupted by Lana as Lana tells Paige that she used to be a “strong European woman”, but she couldn’t keep the Divas Title, her friends, or her man. Lana then says that it’s because Paige hangs out with her “weak American friends” like Brie Bella. Paige responds by saying that Brie Bella is not her friend, saying that Lana has “no friends” and has jumped from “man to man” and Lana has never had a match, let alone a championship. Paige then says that, if Lana wants to see what a real Diva does, then she will show her “up close and personally”. Naomi & Tamina then join the conversation as Naomi asks Paige if she’s making “threats” before Tamina says that you “never know who’s listening”. With The Dudley Boyz guests on commentary, The Usos would face Social Outcast members Bo Dallas & Adam Rose, with Heath Slater & Curtis Axel in their corner. During the match, The Dudley Boyz would leave their seats, looking on as Jey Uso comes off of the top rope with the Uso Splash, pinning Bo Dallas for the win, not taking their eyes off of The Dudley Boyz. Backstage, Dean Ambrose is confronted by a special guest as WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley confronts “The Lunatic Fringe”. Foley says that he came bearing a “gift”, saying that they both know the beating that Ambrose is in for come WrestleMania before asking Ambrose “why” he wants to face Brock Lesnar. Ambrose responds with a question of his own, saying that, when Foley was on top of Hell in a Cell against The Undertaker back in 1998, was Foley scared. Foley admits that he was afraid and this leads Ambrose to ask why Foley kept going and the Hall of Famer responds by saying that he was Mick Foley and that’s what he did. Ambrose then says that he’s Dean Ambrose and this is what he does before Foley says that, if Ambrose’s mind is made up, then he wants Ambrose to take Brock Lesnar on a little “journey” at WrestleMania. Foley then says that he wants Ambrose to take Brock on a trip into the deep, dark recesses of Ambrose’s mind and he wants Ambrose to take a “unique” gift on his journey. The Hall of Famer then takes the crowbar out of Ambrose’s hands, throwing the crowbar to the side before presenting “The Lunatic Fringe” with a gift, wrapped in red paper with a bow on top. Foley then tells Ambrose to consider this a “passing of the torch”, giving a “bang bang” before exiting the locker room, leaving Ambrose alone with his present. “The Lunatic Fringe” then takes the lid off of the box before reaching inside and pulling out Mick Foley’s legendary baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, which Foley affectionately referred to as “Barbie”! With the opportunity to have any match he wants at WrestleMania on the line, Dolph Ziggler would have to go through the top guy in WWE to do so as “The Show Off” would go one-on-one with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H, with Stephanie McMahon in his corner, in a non-title match and, if Dolph is able to beat “The Game”, he gets whatever match he wants at WrestleMania with the exception of a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Throughout the match, Triple H would target the left shoulder of Dolph Ziggler, sending the injured shoulder into the steel steps and even slamming the left arm of Dolph on the steps. Despite the punishment, Dolph would continue to fight back against the champion, even hitting the Famouser on Triple H, but the champion kicks out. Dolph would then score a big DDT on “The Game”, but Triple H would kick out again before planting Ziggler with a spinebuster. Triple H then goes for the Pedigree, but Dolph would counter, blasting the champion with a super kick, but Triple H would barely kick out again! Triple H then lures Dolph to the outside where he sends Ziggler into the barricade and, when Dolph barely makes it back into the ring, Triple H again looks for the Pedigree, but Dolph counters again. Ziggler then looks for the Zig Zag, but Triple H hangs onto the ropes before “The Game” finally hits the Pedigree, pinning Dolph Ziggler to pick up the win, ensuring that “The Show Off” does not get his choice of match at WrestleMania. After the match, Triple H would be in for a big surprise as, for the first time since Triple H destroyed his face and forced him to undergo nasal reconstruction surgery nearly a month ago, Roman Reigns would return to RAW with his sights set on “The Game”! The #1 Contender would make a beeline for Triple H, taking the champion down before dragging Triple H to the outside, tossing “The Game” into the barricade and face-first into the steel ring post. Roman then brings Triple H over to the announce table, repeatedly smashing the champion’s face off of the announce table. Reigns then exposes the announce table as referees rush out to try and break up the fight, but Roman pushes a referee down before Triple H smashes a can on the head of Reigns. However, Roman would fire back with a right hand before the champion tries to walk away from the fight, but Reigns was relentless in his pursuit of “The Game” and the fight would continue near the stage in the technical area as Roman throws equipment at the champion. With Triple H now bleeding from the head, the fight would spill into the backstage area where Roman would toss Triple H around the backstage area before security and agents scramble to try and stop the assault. However, Roman Reigns would not let up as the #1 Contender would throw security out of his way and, despite the pleading of agents and security, Roman would grab a nearby TV monitor, smashing it on the back of the champion! Superstars would then try to calm Roman down as Jack Swagger, Mark Henry, and even Roman’s cousins, The Usos, show up to try and stop the assault as agents help Triple H to his feet. The four Superstars are then able to finally calm Reigns down as Roman drops the broken monitor, heeding the advice of his family and colleagues to save the rest of the war for WrestleMania. One week after he eradicated his partnership with AJ Styles due the fans’ support of “The Phenomenal One”, Chris Jericho would make an appearance on RAW as “Y2J” says that the fans chose AJ Styles over him and his in-ring ability is not as good as it looks. Jericho then says that Styles is a “hack”, saying that he has to show Styles last week who the “boss” is in the ring. Jericho continues, saying that he’s the one that’s “phenomenal” and he’s the “best in the world” in everything that he does. Chris Jericho was also in action on RAW as “Y2J” would go one-on-one with “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Neville. During the match, Neville would appear to hurt his ankle, bringing a brief halt to the action before Chris Jericho would attempt a roll-up, but Neville would kick out. Frustrated, Jericho would then shove the referee, screaming “he’s hurt” in an apparent attempt to get the match called off in favor of naming him the winner. However, the referee would call for the bell, disqualifying “Y2J” for putting his hands on him. After the match, Jericho would get in the referee’s face, shouting at the official before grabbing a microphone and saying that’s what happens when they treat him like a “piece of trash”, again proclaiming that he’s the “best in the world” at what he does, encouraging the fans to chant “AJ Styles”. However, Chris Jericho would then get caught off-guard by the return of “The Phenomenal One” as AJ Styles makes his way to the ring, springing off of the top rope with the Phenomenal Forearm to the face of Chris Jericho, leaving Styles standing tall. Then it was time for both Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon to come face-to-face with The Undertaker less than three weeks before Shane and The Undertaker go one-on-one inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania with control of RAW on the line. WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon makes his way to the ring, saying that Shane beating The Undertaker at WrestleMania is a “dream”. Vince then says that he will be the only one standing in the ring the night after WrestleMania and he will be “gloating” because his son’s dreams have been “crushed” and Shane will be nothing more than an “impotent shell” of himself. The Chairman continues, saying that he doesn’t even put his hands on Shane for this to happen because he has someone to do that for him, introducing his “instrument of destruction” The Undertaker. “The Phenom” then makes his iconic walk to the ring as The Undertaker enters the ring to confront Vince McMahon. Vince tells The Undertaker to “never” put his hands on him again and “The Deadman” responds to this by taking off his jacket and hat. This changes the Chairman’s tone as Vince is quick to backtrack, apologizing for bringing it up before Vince says that The Undertaker has no problem getting his hands dirty and he will have no problem leaving Shane’s “spirit” in a puddle in the middle of the ring. Vince then says that some people may call their partnership an “unholy alliance”, but he just calls it what is “best for business”. The tense confrontation between Vince McMahon and The Undertaker is then interrupted by The Undertaker’s WrestleMania opponent and Vince’s son Shane McMahon, who makes his way to the ring, showing no fear of The Undertaker. Shane first tells his father that he is not what is best for business anymore before turning his focus to The Undertaker, saying that he has been studying ways to beat The Undertaker. Shane then says that he is going to use his body as a “weapon” and he is going to use his “heart” because he’s going to fight for his “children”, the fans’ children, and the “future” and “legacy” of WWE. The Undertaker then takes the microphone away from Vince McMahon, saying that what Shane is fighting with and fighting for is not going to be enough. “The Phenom” then holds up his hands, saying that they are his “legacy” and Shane agrees, saying that The Undertaker is the “measuring stick” in WWE and that is why he is surprised that The Undertaker is being a “puppet” controlled by Vince! This seems to strike a chord with “The Deadman” as The Undertaker tells Shane that “no one” controls him. Shane argues that, from where he’s standing, he sees it a bit differently, saying that he is Vince’s son, but The Undertaker is just “Vince’s bitch”! This is when The Undertaker had heard enough as “The Phenom” lunges forward, grabbing Shane McMahon by the throat, but surprisingly, Shane is able to counter, getting a few shots in on The Undertaker in the corner! Shane then uses his quickness to dodge a right hand from The Undertaker, but Vince then shoves Shane right into the grasp of The Undertaker as “The Deadman” plants Shane with a chokeslam! The Undertaker then glances at Vince McMahon and the Chairman is quick to exit the ring, avoiding the same fate that his son suffered. The Undertaker then stands tall over Shane, glaring at Vince from the ring, making it clear that he disdains both Vince and Shane equally and that he is his own man.
