WWE RAW Results: February 15, 2016By Cassidy| February 16, 2016 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results Six nights before he, along with Roman Reigns and “The Beast” Brock Lesnar, compete in a Triple Threat Match at Fastlane to determine who will challenge Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, RAW kicks off with Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose. Ambrose says that, last week, he did what he had to do to take Brock Lesnar down before saying that he expects Brock Lesnar to come out there and try to finish the job, calling Brock out for a fight. However, the champion doesn’t get “The Beast” as Ambrose gets WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon, who makes her way to the ring. Stephanie tells Ambrose that he had to rely on Roman Reigns to hit a “cheap shot” on Brock Lesnar, asking what Ambrose would have done if Roman didn’t come to his aid. Stephanie continues, saying that they will find out the answer at Fastlane before saying that Ambrose is going to get an “F-5” tonight, but not the one Ambrose is thinking of. Stephanie then announces that Ambrose is going to put his Intercontinental Championship on the line in a Fatal 5-Way Match tonight! Stephanie then adds that, if Roman Reigns interferes in the Fatal 5-Way Match, then Ambrose will be disqualified and removed from the Triple Threat Match at Fastlane! Stephanie then says that the Fatal 5-Way Match for the Intercontinental Championship will start right now. Per the orders of Stephanie McMahon, the opening match of the night would be the rarely seen Fatal 5-Way Match as Dean Ambrose would be forced to defend the Intercontinental Championship against “The Show Off” Dolph Ziggler, Stardust, Tyler Breeze, & the self-proclaimed “Prize Fighter” Kevin Owens where the first Superstar to earn a pinfall or submission will walk out as the Intercontinental Champion with the added stipulation that, if Roman Reigns interferes, then Ambrose will be disqualified and he will be removed from the Triple Threat Match at Fastlane! During the chaotic free-for-all, Kevin Owens would use Tyler Breeze as a weapon, delivering a powerbomb to “Prince Pretty” to the outside that takes out both Stardust and Dolph Ziggler. Shortly after this, Dean Ambrose would avoid the Pop-Up Powerbomb from Kevin Owens before diving to the outside, taking out Stardust, Breeze, & Ziggler! Later on in the match, Kevin Owens would find himself in an interesting situation with Ambrose, Ziggler, Stardust, & Breeze all down in the four corners of the ring. Owens would then hit his Cannonball maneuver in succession on Ambrose, Stardust, & Ziggler, but when Owens goes for the Cannonball to Breeze, “Prince Pretty” pops out of the corner with a kick to the face, followed up with the Beauty Shot, but the other three competitors all jump in to break up the pinfall. Shortly after this, Dean Ambrose would hit Stardust with a clothesline before looking for Dirty Deeds, but Dolph Ziggler would intervene, scoring with the Zig Zag to Ambrose before Tyler Breeze comes in and tosses Dolph out of the ring. Breeze then turns right around into the Pop-Up Powerbomb by Kevin Owens, who pins “Prince Pretty” to become the new Intercontinental Champion! Backstage, new Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens confronts Renee Young before Dolph Ziggler interrupts, congratulating Kevin Owens on regaining the title. Dolph then says that Owens needs an opponent for Fastlane and he’s made a habit out of beating Owens in recent weeks, saying that he deserves to challenge Owens for the Intercontinental Title this Sunday. However, the new champion turns Dolph down before walking away from “The Show Off”. Before they are guests on Edge & Christian’s Cutting Edge Peep Show this Sunday at Fastlane, WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day were on RAW as Big E, with Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston in their corner, would go one-on-one with the man who walked out on The New Day during a match on SmackDown, “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry. During the match, Big E would hit a pair of big splashes on Mark Henry and, while Mark Henry would kick out of the splashes, the effects would play a part in the end of the match as Big E would go for the Big Ending, but Mark Henry would wiggle free. However, “The World’s Strongest Man” would collapse, holding his ribs and Big E would capitalize, quickly pinning Mark Henry to pick up the win. Before she challenges Charlotte for the Divas Championship at Fastlane this Sunday and one week after her husband, Daniel Bryan, announced his retirement, Brie Bella would appear on RAW for an exclusive interview. Brie Bella begins to talk about the next chapter of Daniel Bryan’s life after his retirement, but Brie is quickly interrupted by her Fastlane opponent as Divas Champion Charlotte comes out with Ric Flair in tow. The champion says that she was blown away by Daniel Bryan’s retirement speech last week, saying that Bryan “was in a league of his own”. Brie corrects Charlotte, saying that Bryan “is in a league of his own” before saying that Bryan is looking forward to the next chapter of his life. Charlotte then says that you have to live each moment like it’s your last and she can understand if Brie wants to “forfeit” their match at Fastlane, saying that “most women” would want to be at home with their husband. Charlotte continues, saying that she thinks it’s “selfish”, but who is she to judge Brie’s message. Brie says that she doesn’t owe Charlotte an explanation, but Daniel Bryan supports her 100%. The Divas Champion then accuses Brie and Bryan of “needing the money” before saying that she made a “sympathetic gesture” a couple of weeks ago when she brought up Brie’s injured sister Nikki. Charlotte continues, saying that Brie needs to “go home” and help Nikki with her physical therapy and have “breakfast in bed” with her husband. The champion then tells Brie to go home and be the “good sister and wife” she knows Brie is, saying that she doesn’t need Brie and the fans don’t need her, but Brie’s sister and husband need her. Brie responds by saying that Charlotte came out there to try and get in her head, saying that the Divas Champion is “scared”. Brie continues, saying that Charlotte is throwing Daniel and Nikki in her face because Charlotte knows that Brie is not an “easy beat”. Brie then says that she is standing in “disgust”, seeing the champion that Charlotte has become. The Divas Champion then escorts her father out of the ring before saying that she gave Brie the “opportunity to walk away”, saying that she can only imagine what Brie’s “goat-faced, vegan babies” are going to become! Brie has then heard enough as the #1 contender tackles the Divas Champion before drilling Charlotte with a series of kicks before Ric Flair pulls Charlotte out of the ring, rescuing his daughter for the time being. After handing AJ Styles his first loss in WWE on SmackDown, Chris Jericho would be a guest on commentary as “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles would go one-on-one with The Miz on RAW. During the match, The Miz would decide to confront Chris Jericho on the outside and the self-proclaimed “A-Lister” would pay for it as AJ Styles leaps off of the ring steps with a forearm to the face of The Miz. Later on in the match, AJ Styles would score with the springboard forearm, but The Miz would kick out and, shortly after this, The Miz would catch Styles with the Skull Crushing Finale, but “The Phenomenal One” would kick out! Styles would then lock in the Calf Crusher, making The Miz tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Chris Jericho would start to enter the ring before AJ Styles tells Jericho that “Y2J” got his win, but it’s still eating Chris Jericho up inside that he beat Jericho in his first one-on-one match in WWE. Styles then says that he’ll do Jericho a favor and make a challenge that Jericho wants anyways before AJ challenges Jericho to a rematch at Fastlane! Now in the ring, Jericho says that the rematch is a “phenomenal idea”, but he’s not sure if he wants to have another match with Styles before saying that he is going to “think about it” and he’ll give Styles an answer on SmackDown. After putting The Usos through tables on last week’s RAW and swearing off tables on SmackDown, The Dudley Boyz would make an appearance on RAW. Bubba Ray wastes no time in calling out The Usos, saying that the twin brothers should be out there to hear what they have to say. When The Usos don’t come out, Bubba Ray shows what they did to The Usos last week as the explanation. D-Von then says that, when they returned to WWE, the fans thought that they were going to be some “nostalgia act” that were going to just “ride off into the sunset”. D-Von says that they are not “two relics from the past”, declaring that they are the “baddest tag team on the planet”. Bubba Ray then says that the tables are “gone forever” before saying that their legacy will be defined by their nine reigns as WWE Tag Team Champions, not by tables. Bubba Ray then concludes by saying that they don’t “give a damn” what the fans chant. The Divas were in action on RAW as Paige would go one-on-one with Summer Rae. In the end, Paige would go for the PTO on Summer Rae, but Summer would counter, surprising Paige with a roll-up to pick up the upset victory. Before his client, Brock Lesnar, is one of the three Superstars in the Triple Threat Match at Fastlane to determine the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, Paul Heyman would make an appearance on RAW. Heyman says that one “beast” will emerge victorious at Fastlane and challenge Triple H for the title at WrestleMania. Heyman then says that what he has to say should be said face-to-face before the advocate actually calls out Roman Reigns. Roman would then make his way through the crowd, joining Heyman in the ring. Heyman then shakes Roman’s hand, thanking Roman for coming out to the ring, saying that he has the “utmost respect” for Reigns. Heyman then says that he feels that neither Reigns or Ambrose or the two of them combined can get past Brock Lesnar before saying that Roman’s dream is to ultimately beat Triple H in the main event of WrestleMania to regain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and go home to his wife and daughter as a champion. Heyman continues, saying that, in addition to Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose also stands in Roman’s way, saying that Reigns has to choose between his best friend or his daughter because he can’t have them both. Heyman then says that there are those in the wrestling business who choose friends over family and those are the ones who end up in “divorce court” and there are those who choose family over friendship and those are the ones who sit alone in the back. Heyman continues, saying that those who choose family over friends are also the ones who stand alone in the middle of the ring at the end of WrestleMania as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Heyman then says that, this Sunday, Brock Lesnar is Roman’s enemy, but so is Dean Ambrose. Reigns responds by thanking Heyman, saying that it’s “refreshing” to hear a man’s honest opinion face-to-face before saying that he is willing to “pay the price” every single night and Ambrose is willing to do the same. Roman then says that he’s defeated Ambrose before and it was one of the toughest things he’s ever had to do, but he’s never beaten Brock Lesnar before. Reigns continues, saying that he is going to win at Fastlane and he is going to beat Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania and now he knows that Heyman believes that. The two men then shake hands again before Heyman backs away and exits the ring, but as soon as Heyman exits the ring, Reigns is blindsided by The Dudley Boyz! Roman briefly fights back against Bubba Ray & D-Von, but The Dudley Boyz overwhelm Roman before Dean Ambrose makes the save. With the odds now even, Reigns & Ambrose fight off The Dudley Boyz with Reigns taking D-Von down with the Superman Punch. Reigns & Ambrose then stand tall in the ring as referees rush out to keep The Dudley Boyz away from the ring. The “brothers-in-arms” then embrace in the ring before Ambrose actually tries to cheap shot Reigns with Dirty Deeds, but Roman wiggles free, initially looking shocked before both men smile, keeping a close eye on each other. The Social Outcasts were on RAW as Heath Slater, with Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, & Curtis Axel in their corner, would go one-on-one with Zack Ryder. In the end, it was a distraction by Bo Dallas that would allow Heath Slater to take advantage as Slater hits an Impaler DDT, pinning Ryder to pick up the win. Before he defends the United States Championship against Alberto Del Rio on the Fastlane Kickoff show this Sunday, United States Champion Kalisto would team with Sin Cara and “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Neville to face League of Nations members Sheamus, Rusev, & Alberto Del Rio, with King Barrett in their corner, in a 6-Man Tag match. In the end, it was Alberto Del Rio leaping nearly halfway across the ring with a double stomp off of the top rope to Sin Cara, pinning Sin Cara to pick up the win for his team. Before she teams with Sasha Banks to face Naomi & Tamina at Fastlane, Becky Lynch would go one-on-one with Naomi, with Tamina in her corner, on RAW. During the match, Becky Lynch would knock Tamina off of the ring apron before locking in the Dis-Arm-Her on Naomi, making Naomi tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Tamina would blindside Becky as Naomi & Tamina would beat Becky down, but before any serious damage could be done, Sasha Banks would march to the ring. However, Sasha would be kept at bay by Naomi as Tamina hits Becky with a Samoan Drop. Sasha then slides into the ring and Naomi & Tamina are quick to exit the ring, leaving Sasha and Becky standing tall. Before Braun Strowman collides with Big Show, The Wyatt Family would make an appearance on RAW. Luke Harper says that they all have a choice, they can either awaken from their “slumber” or “beg for mercy”. Erick Rowan then says that, without them, there is “no hope” before Bray Wyatt says that “freedom from a dying world” awaits them. Bray then asks how many of them have checked their “followers” to see if they feel their “pain” before saying that he and his “followers” would walk into the “fires of the apocalypse”. Bray continues, saying that he offers all of them “paradise” and all that he asks is for all of them to “bow” to him before saying that they have to make a “choice” or he will be forced to make a choice for them. Bray then says that he had to make a choice for Kane and Ryback and Braun Strowman will have to make a choice for Big Show right now with Strowman adding, “wake up or run”. After being beat down by The Wyatt Family a couple of weeks ago, Big Show was out for revenge as “The World’s Largest Athlete” would go one-on-one with the largest member of The Wyatt Family, Braun Strowman, with Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, & Erick Rowan in his corner. During the match, Big Show would have Braun Strowman down, but before the giant could take advantage, Erick Rowan would enter the ring and, while Rowan was easily dispatched with a Spear from Big Show, Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper would enter the ring soon after, attacking Big Show and ending the match by disqualification. Bray, Harper, & Strowman would then start to beat Big Show down before Ryback makes the save, taking down Harper and Rowan on the outside before entering the ring, but Ryback is also overwhelmed by The Wyatt Family as the four Superstars beat down both Ryback and Big Show. Just when it looked like The Wyatt Family had once again emerged dominant, flames would erupt from the ring posts before Kane would tear through the ring mat! Kane would send Rowan to the outside as Big Show and Ryback would get back to their feet and, together, the three big men would take it to The Wyatt Family before Kane & Big Show plant Luke Harper with a double chokeslam, sending The Wyatt Family packing as Kane, Big Show, & Ryback stand tall in the ring.
