WWE RAW Results: January 25, 2016By Cassidy| January 26, 2016 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results On what had to be considered a banner night for the McMahon family at the Royal Rumble, RAW kicks off with WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon and his daughter, WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon. The Chairman says that they are feeling good and that is because they “broke” Roman Reigns, “pierced his heart”, and took his championship away. McMahon then says that, just like Roman Reigns, the fans are all “broken” and “miserable” and, like Reigns, they will all stay that way. Stephanie then says that the fans live in a “fantasy world” because they knew who was going to enter the Royal Rumble Match at #30 and they knew who was going to walk out as champion. Stephanie continues, saying that her husband, Triple H, works “harder” than everyone else on the WWE roster, saying Triple H is a “businessman”. Stephanie then says that, not only is her husband the “greatest WWE Superstar” in history, he is more than “the man”, he is “The Game”. With that, Stephanie introduces her husband as, for the first time since 2009, “The Game” Triple H makes his way to the ring as a champion as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion joins his wife and his father-in-law in the ring. The new champion says that Roman Reigns lacks one thing and that is “respect”, saying that Roman is “arrogant”. Triple H then says that Roman needs to “learn his place in life”, saying that he could put up with Roman’s “disregard for authority”, but what he couldn’t put up with was Roman’s disrespect towards Mr. McMahon. Triple H continues, saying that, as far as the fans are concerned, McMahon might as well be called a “god”, saying that, until the day he dies, WWE is his “religion” and his “church” and he will be damned if he is going to let someone like Roman Reigns “disrespect” him or his “religion”. The new champion then says that a lot of people will ask why, after everything Triple H has done in his legendary career, does he need to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Triple H then says that he has had a Hall of Fame worthy career and has successfully made the transition from the ring to the boardroom, saying that he doesn’t “need” to be the champion, he “wants” to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Triple H continues, saying that he wants to be the champion because people like Roman Reigns “want” to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but they don’t “deserve” it. Triple H then says that, until everyone learns some “respect”, he will remain the champion because he “says so”, saying that there’s not a “damn thing” that anyone can do about it and that includes Roman Reigns. Triple H continues, saying that people like Roman and the fans will either “conform” or they will “cease to exist”. Stephanie McMahon then asks the big question, asking her husband who he will “teach a lesson” to at WrestleMania with Mr. McMahon echoing his daughter’s inquiry. Stephanie then says that RAW is going to be “action-packed” and they will be “evaluating” every WWE Superstar and, by the end of the night, they are going to announce the main event of next month’s Fastlane event as the winner of that main event will go on to challenge Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, mocking Roman Reigns by telling everyone to “believe that”. Still showing the effects of his vicious Last Man Standing Match for the Intercontinental Championship against Dean Ambrose at the Royal Rumble, Kevin Owens was in action on RAW as the self-proclaimed “Prize Fighter” would go one-on-one with Dolph Ziggler in the opening match of the night. Despite being banged up, Kevin Owens would put on a game performance against Dolph Ziggler, hitting the Pop-Up Powerbomb and pinning Dolph to pick up the win. Backstage, Roman Reigns arrives in the arena and is questioned by JoJo as the interviewer repeats what Mr. McMahon had to say about him being “miserable”. Roman responds by telling JoJo to let Mr. McMahon and Triple H know that he’s in the arena and he’s not leaving until he hears their announcement regarding the main event of WrestleMania, which will be determined at Fastlane. The Social Outcasts would then make an appearance on RAW as Heath Slater is quick to confront a special guest in the front row as Grammy Award winning rapper Flo Rida is in attendance in his hometown. Slater exits the ring to get in Flo Rida’s face as Slater tells the rapper to “sit there” and not to make him “mad”. Adam Rose then adds that, when Slater gets mad, he “spits fire”. Bo Dallas then dares Flo Rida to get out of his seat, get in the ring, and face the four “super friends”. Flo Rida wastes no time in accepting this challenge, leaving his entourage behind as he hops over the barricade and enters the ring! Slater then says that they don’t want to “hurt” Flo Rida, challenging the Grammy Award winner to a rap battle! Slater then introduces Flo Rida to his good friend, “Bo Rider”, putting a gold chain and sunglasses on Bo. As his cohorts cheer him on, Bo Dallas does his best rap before Flo Rida schools the group on what rapping is all about, which ends with Flo Rida introducing The Dudley Boyz. With Flo Rida in their corner, The Dudley Boyz would face Social Outcast members Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel, with Heath Slater & Curtis Axel in their corner, on RAW. During the match, Bubba Ray would knock Adam Rose off of the ring apron and, when Heath Slater gets on the ring apron, Flo Rida would get involved, sending Slater into the ring as The Dudley Boyz make Slater taste the Wassup. The Dudley Boyz then hit the 3-D on Curtis Axel with D-Von pinning Axel to pick up the win for the veteran tag team. After making his much-anticipated and much talked about debut as the #3 entrant in the Royal Rumble Match, “The Phenomenal One” would make his RAW debut as AJ Styles would go one-on-one with six-time former World Champion Chris Jericho. Throughout the match, AJ Styles would go blow-for-blow with Chris Jericho, surviving the Walls of Jericho and getting the knees up when Jericho went for the Lionsault. Styles would then go for the Styles Clash, but Jericho would counter with a roll-up and Styles would counter with a roll-up of his own, securing the three-count to pick the win over Jericho in his RAW debut! After the match, AJ Styles would extend his hand in a show of sportsmanship and, while Chris Jericho would accept the handshake, Jericho would pull Styles in for a face-to-face confrontation before exiting the ring. After making her return at the Royal Rumble, leaving a lasting impression on Divas Champion Charlotte by making Charlotte tap out to the Bank Statement, “The Boss” was in action on RAW as Sasha Banks would go one-on-one with “The Lass Kicker” Becky Lynch. During the match, Sasha Banks appeared to be moments away from a submission victory after locking in the Bank Statement on Becky Lynch, but that is when Charlotte would get involved as the Divas Champion would toss Sasha out of the ring, ending the match by disqualification. Charlotte would then turn her attention to Becky, delivering a suplex to Becky before Sasha enters the fray, but this time, it was the Divas Champion getting the better of Sasha, planting “The Boss” with Natural Selection. Charlotte then holds the Divas Title belt high before exiting the ring, leaving Sasha and Becky laid out in the ring. After he and his Wyatt Family followers were able to eliminate Brock Lesnar from the Royal Rumble Match, “The Eater of Worlds” was in action on RAW as Bray Wyatt, with Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, & Braun Strowman in his corner, would go one-on-one with a familiar foe in “The Big Red Machine” Kane. During the match, Kane would take down both Erick Rowan and Luke Harper, but their distraction would benefit their leader as Bray Wyatt hits Sister Abigail, pinning Kane for the win. After the match, Braun Strowman would choke Kane out before Harper & Rowan plant Kane with a double chokeslam. Bray Wyatt then kneels next to Kane, screaming “follow the buzzards”. With rumors running rampant that a major Superstar would be returning to WWE on RAW, interviewer Rich Brennan is in the parking lot to try and find out who this major star is. Upon knocking on the window of a parked limousine, The Miz would exit the vehicle, saying that it’s been “three weeks” since he’s been on RAW. However, The Miz’s walk-and-talk interview is interrupted by the sound of a horn and a souped-up pickup truck arriving to the arena as Miami’s own “The Great One” The Rock arrives in the arena! The Rock would tell The Miz to park his truck before greeting fellow Miami native Rick Ross. “The People’s Champion” would then run into Big Show, having some fun at the giant’s expense by saying how different Big Show’s life would have been had Big Show won the Royal Rumble Match in 2000, joking that the director of “The Scorpion King” was going to cast whoever won the Rumble that year. Faced with the possibility that he could have been a major Hollywood star like The Rock, an upset Big Show would break a laptop in half and The Rock tells Big Show “you’re all right”. The Rock then runs into Lana, recounting their initial meeting on RAW in Brooklyn a while back and their apparent party after RAW. The Rock tells an embarrassed Lana that she showed him the “one-legged Russian vacuum” and he showed her the “Wisconsin wheelbarrow”, but Lana’s mood changes once she spots her fiancé, Rusev, standing behind The Rock. Once Lana informs The Rock that she and Rusev are engaged, The Rock congratulates the couple, telling Rusev that he’s got a “hell of a woman”, pointing out how “flexible” Lana is. The Rock then continues his stroll through the backstage area, greeting Pat Patterson on his way to the Gorilla Positon. After reconnecting with some familiar faces backstage, it was then time for the grand return of one of the most popular Superstars in WWE history as the biggest box office star in the world returns home to where it all started as “The Great One” The Rock makes a special appearance on RAW! The Rock asks the Miami crowd if they are ready for WrestleMania, saying that JBL and Michael Cole are ready before “The Great One” struggles to recognize Byron Saxton. Upon seeing some interestingly dressed fans in the front row, The Rock announces that he is going to go “off the script”. The Rock decides to greet a group of fans dressed as The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and “Macho Man” Randy Savage respectively before re-entering the ring. The Rock says that WrestleMania is down the road, but he’s talking about tonight. However, “The Great One” is interrupted by the WWE Tag Team Champions as The New Day prance their way out to the stage. Kofi Kingston suggests that they talk about the “black guys” that The Rock is aware of, saying that they “put the whooping” on The Rock’s cousins The Usos at the Royal Rumble. Now at ringside, Kofi says that The Rock calls himself “The People’s Champion”, but he has no gold. Big E comments that The Rock looks like a man who does not eat his “Booty-O’s” before calling Miami a “dumpster fire of a town”, saying that The Rock couldn’t wait to leave Miami. Xavier Woods then comments that The Rock says that he did it for the “people”, but he actually did it for the “paycheck”. Having patiently listened to what The New Day had to say, The Rock says that he knows exactly who The New Day is, saying that they are obviously “extremely entertaining”. The Rock then says that it’s amazing that they’re still that entertaining even with “llama penises” strapped to their heads! The New Day is appalled by the words of “The Great One” and the accompanying chants of “llama penises” from the crowd, correcting The Rock by saying that they are wearing “unicorn horns”. The Rock is quick to reply, saying that they look like “three chocolate corn holes” before saying that the “big one” is getting angry, referring to Big E as a “she”. The Rock then says that Big E looks like what would be produced if “The Incredible Hulk banged Urkel” before The Rock dares them to enter the ring. However, instead of fighting The Rock, The New Day decides that the fans “don’t deserve it”. The WWE Tag Team Champions then start to walk to the back, but The Rock stops the trio, saying that “Plan A” didn’t work, so they’re going to try “Plan B”. With that, The Rock’s cousins The Usos come out, taking it to The New Day as the twins chase Big E into the ring where The Rock plants the big man with the Rock Bottom! After one of The Usos take out Kofi Kingston, The Rock & The Usos focus on Xavier Woods as The Usos catch Xavier with a double super kick, followed up with a spinebuster from “The Great One”. The Rock then delivers the People’s Elbow to the loud-mouthed tag champion before The Rock proclaims that he will see them all at WrestleMania, celebrating with The Usos. The Divas were in action on RAW as Paige & Natalya would face Brie Bella & Alicia Fox. In the end, it was Paige spiking Brie Bella with the Ram Paige, pinning Brie to pick up the win for her team. One night after defeating Alberto Del Rio to become the new United States Champion for the second time in his career at the Royal Rumble, Kalisto would go one-on-one with The Miz in a non-title match on RAW. In the end, it was Kalisto hitting the Salida del Sol, pinning The Miz to pick up the win. After he was unable to hold onto the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match after being eliminated by Triple H, who would go on to win the title, “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns would team with the runner-up in the Royal Rumble Match, Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose, to face The League of Nations’ Sheamus & Rusev, with King Barrett & Alberto Del Rio in their corner. At the end of a chaotic match, it was Dean Ambrose saving Roman Reigns from being pinned after the Brogue Kick from Sheamus and, shortly after this, Reigns would deliver the Spear to Sheamus, pinning Sheamus to pick up the win for himself and Ambrose. After the match, Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose would have revenge on their minds for what The League of Nations did to Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble as Ambrose exposes both announce tables. Reigns & Ambrose then bring Rusev to the top of the French announce table and, in a flashback to their days as members of The Shield, Ambrose would hoist Rusev on the shoulders of Reigns as the two men deliver a double powerbomb to Rusev through the announce table! WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon then comes out to the stage to make the big announcement as to who will compete at Fastlane for the opportunity to challenge Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. Stephanie then announces that the match at Fastlane will be a Triple Threat Match between Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and “The Beast” Brock Lesnar! Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose are then left staring unsurely at each other, knowing that, at Fastlane, they will not only have to go through each other, but Brock Lesnar as well, if they want to main event WrestleMania.
