WWE: More Superstars out of action with injuriesBy Cassidy| January 29, 2016 Wrestling News The injury plague within WWE continues to affect the WWE roster as PWInsider.com and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter are among the sources reporting that the entire League of Nations stable are injured in one way or another as Sheamus is recovering from biceps tendinitis, King Barrett is dealing with some sort of nerve injury in his neck, Rusev is dealing with a knee injury, and Alberto Del Rio is recovering from an unknown injury. Sheamus’ injury is not expected to keep the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion out of action for too long, but with so many injured stars in WWE, even a few weeks out of action is crucial. King Barrett has been dealing with nerve issues in his neck for several weeks now and anyone who has been watching WWE programming will have noticed that Barrett has avoided any and all physicality (even when he is booked to wrestle). The extent of Barrett’s injury is currently unknown, but it’s apparently not serious enough to keep him off the road. The only confirmation of Rusev’s knee injury is that he’s recently been competing with his knee taped up, though Rusev has denied that he’s injured. The newest addition to the injured list, Alberto Del Rio, has not competed since this past Sunday’s Royal Rumble event, where he lost the United States Title to Kalisto. The details of Del Rio’s injury have not been released yet, but Del Rio did not compete on RAW nor did he compete at the SmackDown tapings. That brings the total of injured competitors to 14 as, in addition to the aforementioned Superstars, Seth Rollins, Sting, John Cena, Randy Orton, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Nikki Bella, Naomi, Sin Cara, & Daniel Bryan are all out of action with various injuries.
