WWE RAW Results: December 28, 2015By Cassidy| December 29, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results For the first time since being dropped with a Superman Punch from Roman Reigns two weeks ago, the final RAW of 2015 would kick off with the return of WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon. The Chairman says that he came out there to “settle a score” and he would have settled it last week but he had to undergo “dental surgery” before saying that he is going to call out an individual who is, no doubt, listening to his every word. With that, Mr. McMahon orders WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns to come to the ring and, after a short wait, Roman does just that. The Chairman says that he just cannot find it in his “heart” to congratulate Reigns on his title win after what Roman did to his son-in-law Triple H, saying Reigns nearly “incapacitated” him. McMahon then vows that Triple H will come looking for “revenge” some day before the Chairman says that Roman “embarrassed” his daughter Stephanie, saying that “nobody” embarrasses a McMahon. The Chairman continues, saying that it was one thing that Roman hit him with the Superman Punch, but Reigns then kicked him out of his ring. McMahon then says that he “owns” the ring, he owns the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and, some day, Reigns will come to terms with the fact that McMahon “owns” him. The champion responds by saying that the problem with “rich snobs” like Mr. McMahon is that they think they own everything, saying that the Chairman does not own him and he does not own the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, saying that the fans own it. McMahon then questions how long Roman Reigns is going to be the champion and Roman asks what the Chairman is going to do. The Chairman tells Reigns to “shut up” before referring to Roman Reigns’ father, Sika, of The Wild Samoans, saying that Roman is “one generation away” from having a bone in his nose and that he “enjoyed” putting Roman’s uncle, Afa, through “hell”. McMahon continues, saying that he “used” Sika up and he lined his pockets, saying that he paid Roman’s “peanuts”. Having heard enough of McMahon disrespecting his family, Roman shoves the Chairman down and McMahon immediately grabs his neck, saying “my neck” and asking for help. The Chairman’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon, then comes out, summoning two men in suits, who are accompanied by three police officers. Stephanie and the two men in suits get into the ring as Stephanie demands that Roman be arrested for putting his hands on her father. However, the two men refuse as one of the men in suits tells Stephanie that they weren’t brought there to be her “personal police force”, they are there to handle security and that’s it. Stephanie again pleas with the man to arrest Roman, getting in the face of the suited man, raising her voice to the officer. The officer then says that Stephanie needs to “step back” or she’s the one who is going to be arrested! Now miraculously recovered, Mr. McMahon steps in, saying that the two officers know who he is, but the no nonsense officer says that he doesn’t care who McMahon is. This raises the ire of the Chairman, who is appalled that the officer doesn’t care who he is as McMahon raises his voice, telling the officer that he’s the “boss”. The Chairman then tells the cop not to threaten his daughter and the officer then threatens to arrest Mr. McMahon! The officer continues to tell Stephanie that she needs to calm down, but it’s the Chairman who ends up crossing the line as Mr. McMahon grabs the officer by his lapels! This brings the three uniformed police officers into the ring as the officer in the suit tells McMahon that he needs to “back up” and the Chairman complies, claiming that he didn’t mean to put his hands on the officer. However, the suited man orders the three uniformed policemen to arrest Mr. McMahon anyways! The three cops do just that, putting the 70-year old Chairman in handcuffs as Stephanie voices her protest over her father’s treatment. Roman Reigns then holds the microphone for the officer as he reads McMahon his Miranda Rights before the cops escort the Chairman through the crowd to the back as Stephanie stays close, pleading with the officers to let her father go as Roman Reigns stands in the ring with a smile on his face. McMahon is then stuffed into a police cruiser backstage as Stephanie verbally reprimands the police’s handling of her father, screaming “dad” as the Chairman is taken to jail. The opening match of the night would see the 2015 Slammy Award winner for Breakout Star of the Year, Neville, square off with Kevin Owens. In a match that was over as quickly as it began, Kevin Owens would look for the Pop-Up Powerbomb to Neville, but the high-flyer would counter, rolling up Owens and scoring the three count to pick up the win. After the match, an irate Kevin Owens would attack Neville from behind, sparking a brawl between the two on the outside with Owens getting the better of the high flyer, twice tossing Neville into the barricade. Owens then racks Neville on the steel ring post before pummeling Neville with right hands as a group of referees struggle to keep Owens back with Owens repeatedly breaking free to continue his assault. After Owens seemingly leaves the scene, referees help Neville to the back, but they are cut off by Owens, who nearly turns the high flyer inside out with a wicked clothesline. Owens then tosses Neville into the steel steps before Owens is about to powerbomb Neville on the ring apron, but this is when Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose makes the save as Ambrose and Owens brawl on the outside with the Intercontinental Champion getting the better of Owens before referees break up the fight, which gives Owens the opportunity to escape the wrath of Ambrose for the time being. With Divas Champion Charlotte opting not to be in her corner, Becky Lynch would be looking for payback for being embarrassed by Team B.A.D. on last week’s Super SmackDown LIVE as Becky Lynch would go one-on-one with Sasha Banks, with Naomi & Tamina in her corner. During the match, Becky Lynch would lock Sasha Banks in a submission hold, but with Naomi distracting the referee, Tamina would get involved, pulling Sasha to the ropes to break the hold. Shortly after this, Becky would send Sasha to the outside before Becky dives off of the top rope, taking out all three members of Team B.A.D.! Later on in the match, Sasha would have Becky on the middle rope, but when Sasha charges at Becky, Becky moves out of the way and Sasha dives out of the ring, inadvertently taking out her Team B.A.D. cohorts! Shortly after this, Tamina would distract the referee as Naomi delivers a kick to Becky and Sasha would take advantage, locking in the Bank Statement, but Becky would counter into the Dis-Arm-Her. However, Sasha would counter the Dis-Arm-Her, rolling Becky up and hooking the tights to score the three-count. The WWE Tag Team Champions were on RAW as The New Day’s Kofi Kingston, with Big E & Xavier Woods in his corner, would go one-on-one with one-half of The Lucha Dragons, Kalisto, with Sin Cara in his corner. During the match, Xavier Woods would get knocked off of the apron and, after Sin Cara takes out Big E and Xavier, Kalisto uses a hurrincanrana, rolling up Kofi for the win. Angry over Sin Cara’s interference, Xavier Woods would take it upon himself to put his partner, Big E, into a one-on-one match against Sin Cara! During the match, Big E would pull Sin Cara off of the ring apron and the masked man would land hard on his left shoulder, prompting a brief time-out in the match while Sin Cara is attended to before the match is allowed to continue. Later on in the match, Kalisto would keep Xavier from getting involved in the match, but Kofi takes Kalisto out as, in the ring, Big E hits Sin Cara with the Big Ending, pinning Sin Cara to pick up the win. The Miz would then make an appearance for a special year-end edition of Miz TV, but when The Miz starts to talk about his 2015, he is interrupted by “The Big Guy” Ryback, who enters the ring, telling The Miz that 2016 is going to be the year of “The Big Guy”. Goldust then comes out, making his way to the ring as he asks if The Miz is going to win some “Golden Globes”. Zack Ryder then comes out, saying that 2016 is finally going to be the “year of Zack Ryder” before The Miz tries to continue his look back on 2015. The Miz is then interrupted again, this time by R-Truth, who implores the fans to vote for him to win the Slammy Award for Superstar of the Year. However, The Miz bursts R-Truth’s bubble by reminding Truth that the Slammy Awards were last week and that Truth actually won the Slammy for LOL Moment of the Year. This refreshes R-Truth’s memory before The Miz tries again to recount his 2015 before he is once again interrupted, this time by Heath Slater. However, Slater is then interrupted by “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show as the six Superstars in the ring ready themselves. Slater then tells Big Show that no one cares what he has to say before Slater is leveled with Big Show’s Knockout Punch! The giant then sets his sights on the other men in the ring as, while The Miz quickly escapes, Big Show tosses Zack Ryder to the outside and takes Goldust down with a shoulder block. Big Show then pulls back his fist to knock R-Truth out, but Truth gives himself the Knockout Punch, feigning being knocked out before Big Show picks Truth up and drives him down with a chokeslam. This leaves Big Show face-to-face with a familiar adversary in Ryback as the two big men tee off on each other before Big Show gets the better of “The Big Guy”, forcing Ryback over the top rope to the outside. Big Show then grabs a microphone, laughing at the “Please Retire” chants from the crowd before announcing that he is going to be a part of the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match, vowing that he will go on to WrestleMania and win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship! Following a confrontation moments earlier, “The Big Guy” Ryback would go one-on-one with the first man to officially announce his entry into the 2016 Royal Rumble Match, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show. During the match, Ryback would set Big Show up for the Meat Hook Clothesline, but “The World’s Largest Athlete” would roll out of the ring, opting to take a count-out loss to Ryback. After being the target of The League of Nations in recent weeks, Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose would team with The Usos to face The League of Nations’ Sheamus, Rusev, & King Barrett in a 6-Man Tag match. In the end, it was Sheamus blasting Jimmy Uso with the Brogue Kick, pinning Uso to pick up the win for The League of Nations. After the match, with Dean Ambrose down on the outside, Kevin Owens would strike as Owens would send Ambrose into the steel steps before Owens exposes the announce table, setting up the steel steps next to the table. Owens then grabs the Intercontinental Champion and, despite the referees pleading with Owens, the former champion would drive Ambrose through the announce table with a vicious powerbomb! Referees and WWE’s ringside physician then check on Dean Ambrose as Kevin Owens exits to the back. With interviewer Renee Young live at the local police station, Renee reveals that, after being arrested earlier in the evening, Mr. McMahon has posted bail and has been released from jail. With Stephanie McMahon leading the way, the Chairman would exit the police station with both McMahons refusing to comment as father and daughter leave in an SUV together. Appearing in a WWE ring for the first time since losing the United States Championship at WWE Hell in a Cell in October, fifteen-time former World Champion John Cena would appear on RAW. Cena says that The League of Nations seems to care about every country but the one they are standing in right now, saying that Alberto Del Rio has never even defended the United States Title on RAW. Cena continues, saying that the United States Championship used to be “fun” before saying that, as the champion, he came out there every week and gave the fans everything he had. Cena then says that Del Rio will not put the United States Championship on the line tonight, saying that it’s a “disgrace” to the United States Title and it’s a disgrace to all of the fans. United States Champion Alberto Del Rio then comes out with his League of Nations allies in tow, saying that the Brooklyn fans don’t deserve to see a United States Title match. Cena argues, saying that, if there was a time for a championship match, it is right here, right now before saying that Del Rio is afraid that Cena will beat him and take the title from him. The champion responds by saying that the last time they were in the ring together, he took the title from Cena and sent Cena “home”. Cena then says that, since winning the title, Del Rio has done “nothing”, saying that Del Rio hides behind The League of Nations each and every week. Cena then says that Del Rio is the champion and he is the challenger so they should have their rematch on the final RAW of 2015 before asking if Del Rio is going to be a “punk bitch”! Del Rio says that he knows what Cena is trying to do, saying that they are going to have a “fight” but it’s not going to be for the title. Cena then tells Del Rio that he won the championship with a “lucky kick”, saying Del Rio “gained a championship”, but lost his “manhood” before daring all four members of The League of Nations to come down there and “get it over with”! Del Rio says that he is “more man” than Cena ever will be, making his way towards the ring as Del Rio says that, by himself, he is going to send Cena home again before agreeing to put the title on the line! In an impromptu rematch from WWE Hell in a Cell in October, John Cena would return to action on RAW to challenge Alberto Del Rio for the United States Championship in the final RAW main event of 2015! During the hotly contested matchup, John Cena would go for the Attitude Adjustment and Alberto Del Rio would inadvertently kick the referee, taking the official out. Cena would then lock in the STF on Del Rio, making the champion tap out, but with the referee out, it would not matter. It would not take long for The League of Nations to get involved as Sheamus & Rusev would come out. Rusev would be the first one in the ring, delivering a kick to the face of John Cena, draping Del Rio over Cena before exiting the ring. The referee then rolls back into the ring, but Cena is able to kick out before the three-count and the referee would collapse again. This would bring Sheamus into the ring as Sheamus would look to hit Cena with the Brogue Kick, but Cena would move out of the way and Sheamus would inadvertently take out Rusev! Cena then manages to take Sheamus out with the Attitude Adjustment before Del Rio takes advantage of the interference, hitting Cena with the Back Stabber and following it up with a hard kick to the head, but unlike their bout at WWE Hell in a Cell, the kick would fail to put Cena away! Frustrated, Del Rio would look around in disbelief, questioning what his next move would be. Del Rio would then look for the cross armbreaker, but Cena would counter, planting Del Rio with the Attitude Adjustment, but with a three-count a certainty, Sheamus & Rusev would attack, ending a great championship match by disqualification. After the match, The League of Nations would put the boots to John Cena before Sheamus blasts Cena with the Brogue Kick. The Usos would then try to make the save, but The Usos were in no shape to contend with The League of Nations and the three men would easily dispatch the twin brothers. As Sheamus exits the ring to grab a steel chair, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion arrives on the scene as Roman Reigns blasts Rusev with the Spear on the outside before catching Del Rio with the Superman Punch. Reigns then comes face-to-face with Sheamus with Sheamus bringing a steel chair to the fight, but when Sheamus swings the chair, Roman strikes first, catching Sheamus with the Superman Punch, following it up with a chair shot to the back! This would leave Roman Reigns standing tall in the ring with chair in hand, but the night was not over for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion as, now free from jail, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon would come out to the stage, saying that he questioned just how long Roman would be champion and now he knows the answer. With that, the Chairman announces that, on the first RAW of 2016 next week, Roman Reigns will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Sheamus and none other than Mr. McMahon himself will serve as the Special Referee! McMahon then sarcastically wishes everyone, including Roman Reigns, a “happy new year”. What did you think of the final RAW of 2015? Post your comments in the box below.
