WWE Survivor Series 2015 ResultsBy Cassidy| November 23, 2015 WWE PPVs Previous Page Detailed Results Following an unparalleled performance of The Star Spangled Banner by Lilian Garcia in defiance of the terroristic threat affecting the country, the 29th annual Survivor Series kicks off in a big way as the first of two Semi-Final matches in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament would open the show as “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns would go one-on-one with United States Champion Alberto Del Rio, with Zeb Colter in his corner, with the winner facing either Dean Ambrose or Kevin Owens in the Finals later on in the evening. Early on in the match, Alberto Del Rio would target the shoulder of Roman Reigns, sending Reigns shoulder-first into the steel ring post and into the ringside barricade. Later on in the match, Roman Reigns would go for the Superman Punch, but Del Rio would move out of the way before scoring with the Back Stabber, but Reigns would kick out. Del Rio then goes for the double stomp off of the top rope, but Roman avoids the impact and the United States Champion’s knee buckles on the landing and Roman capitalizes with the Superman Punch. However, when Roman goes for the Spear, Del Rio catches Reigns in the face with a vicious kick, but Roman would kick out again and Del Rio would try to lock in the cross armbreaker, but Roman counters with a big powerbomb. The United States Champion then manages to lock in his cross armbreaker, but Roman would survive the hold before finally connecting with the Spear, pinning Del Rio to pick up a hard-fought win and advance to the Finals to face either Dean Ambrose or Kevin Owens. Moments after his best friend Roman Reigns fought his way to the Finals, Dean Ambrose would be looking to so the same as “The Lunatic Fringe” would go one-on-one with Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens with the winner advancing to the Finals of the tournament to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. During the match, Dean Ambrose would repeatedly try a superplex to Kevin Owens, but the Intercontinental Champion would counter, delivering a huge package side slam off of the top rope, but Ambrose would kick out! Ambrose then counters the Pop-Up Powerbomb, scoring with a clothesline and attempting to dive to the outside, but Owens catches Ambrose, slamming him on the announce table. Back in the ring, Owens and Ambrose would go back-and-forth with Owens repeatedly trying to connect with the Pop-Up Powerbomb, but “The Lunatic Fringe” would ultimately score with Dirty Deeds, pinning the Intercontinental Champion to pick up the win and advance to the Finals to face his ‘brother’ Roman Reigns in the Finals to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion! Then it was time for a Survivor Series tradition as “The Big Guy” Ryback would team with The Usos and The Lucha Dragons to face the team of WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day, King Barrett, and “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Sheamus in a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match. The first elimination would come courtesy of Sin Cara as the high flyer hits a senton on King Barrett off of the top rope, pinning Barrett to give his team the one man advantage. Shortly after this, Kofi Kingston holds Jimmy Uso in place for Xavier Woods, who comes off of the top rope with a double stomp, pinning Jimmy to even things up for his team. The New Day & Sheamus would then gain a one man advantage for the first time in the match, courtesy of a Brogue Kick from Sheamus to Sin Cara, eliminating Sin Cara from the match. Problems then begin to arise between Sheamus and Big E as the two big men argue before Ryback sends Sheamus to the outside. Shortly after this, Jey Uso scores with the Superfly Splash, pinning Big E to eliminate The New Day’s biggest member. After Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston protest Big E’s elimination, Woods & Kingston opt to help Big E to the back themselves, leaving Sheamus to go it alone against Ryback, Kalisto, & Jey Uso! Despite a valiant effort to battle the odds, it was Ryback hitting Sheamus with Shell Shocked, eliminating “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” and, with Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston abandoning the match, Ryback, The Lucha Dragons, & The Usos would win the match with Ryback, Kalisto, & Jey Uso as the sole survivors. The Divas Championship would then be on the line in a personal and emotionally-charged match as Charlotte would defend the Divas Title against Paige. Early on in the match, Paige would bring Charlotte to the ring apron, sending the champion back-first into the steel ring post, starting Paige’s focus on the back of her former friend. Later on in the match, Charlotte would lock in the Figure-Four on Paige and both Divas would go counter-for-counter in the submission. Both champion and challenger then roll under the bottom rope with the hold still locked in as Charlotte hangs off of the ring apron with the Figure-Four still locked in, putting extra pressure into the submission! Despite an aggressive onslaught by Charlotte, Paige would continue to fight back as champion and challenger continue to go back-and-forth in the heated contest. Later on in the match, Paige would get on the ringside barricade to gloat, but Charlotte would jump on the barricade, taking Paige to the floor with a Spear! Charlotte then brings Paige back into the ring, locking in the Figure-Eight on Paige and, despite Charlotte appearing to be under the bottom rope, Paige would tap out as Charlotte retains the Divas Title. After making his main roster debut last month, “Prince Pretty” would make his Survivor Series debut as Tyler Breeze, with Summer Rae in his corner, would square off with “The Show Off” Dolph Ziggler. In the end, it was a well-placed kick to the knee of Dolph Ziggler from Tyler Breeze, followed by the Unprettier, pinning “The Show Off” to pick up the win. On the 25th anniversary of his WWE debut back at Survivor Series on November 22, 1990, WWE’s preeminent legend would step into the ring at Survivor Series as the one and only Undertaker would join forces with his demonic brother Kane to face the force that is trying to put the Brothers of Destruction to rest once and for all, The Wyatt Family as Bray Wyatt would select two members of his Wyatt Family to wage war against The Undertaker & Kane. After an awe-inspiring entrance by The Undertaker befitting of his twenty-fifth anniversary, the Brothers of Destruction would await the two members of The Wyatt Family they would be facing, but before the match even begins, Erick Rowan rushes the ring. However, Rowan is quickly dispatched as The Undertaker & Kane plant Erick Rowan with a double chokeslam before it’s revealed that Bray Wyatt would be stepping into the ring himself with Luke Harper joining Bray and Braun Strowman watching from the outside. During the match, Braun Strowman would get physically involved on the outside, tossing Kane over the announce table before Bray Wyatt retrieves Kane, bringing him back into the ring. Later on in the match, The Undertaker would go for a double chokeslam on both Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper, but Braun Strowman would get on the ring apron and that is when the Brothers of Destruction had enough as The Undertaker would grab Strowman by the throat on the outside as Kane exposes the Spanish announce table before The Undertaker & Kane drive the mastodon through the Spanish announce table with a thunderous double chokeslam! Strowman’s distraction would pay off as Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper briefly gain the advantage, but the Brothers of Destruction would not be denied as The Undertaker & Kane deliver dueling chokeslams to Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper before The Undertaker spikes Luke Harper in the center of the ring with the Tombstone Piledriver, pinning Harper to pick up the win for the Brothers of Destruction. The Undertaker & Kane then stand tall in the ring as the crowd gives “The Deadman” a standing ovation, appreciating twenty-five years of the dominance, the mystique, and the unforgettable, unparalleled career of The Undertaker. Then it was time for the main event as it would be time to crown a brand new WWE World Heavyweight Champion as, in the culmination of a sixteen-man tournament, it would come down to two men who consider each other brothers as Roman Reigns would go one-on-one with Dean Ambrose with the winner walking out as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Early on in the match, Dean Ambrose would target the injured shoulder of Roman Reigns that was injured by Alberto Del Rio earlier in the night. Both men would go for their best shots early on in the match with Roman Reigns hitting the Superman Punch, but Dean Ambrose would kick out, scoring with his signature clothesline, and, shortly after this, Roman would connect with the Spear, but Ambrose would kick out again. Ambrose then plants Roman with Dirty Deeds, but Reigns would manage to kick out! Both men would then literally fight their way back to their feet with Dean Ambrose seemingly taking control of the match before Roman Reigns would explode out of nowhere with another Spear, this time keeping Ambrose down for the three-count as Roman pins his ‘brother’ to finally become the brand new WWE World Heavyweight Champion! After the match, Roman Reigns would celebrate the biggest victory of his WWE career, being embraced by Dean Ambrose before Ambrose leaves the ring, letting the brand new WWE World Heavyweight Champion celebrate his monumental victory as confetti rains down from the ceiling and pyro erupts in the arena. As the confetti continues to rain down in the arena, WWE COO Triple H makes his way to the ring with a smile on his face, entering the ring and raising the hand of the confused new champion. Triple H then extends his hand to Roman Reigns, but Roman begins to walk away from the COO, looking at the WWE World Heavyweight Title belt before charging at Triple H and blasting the COO with the Spear! After annihilating his boss with the Spear, Roman Reigns would turn right around into the Brogue Kick from Sheamus! Sheamus then frantically hands his Money-in-the-Bank briefcase off to the referee, cashing in his Money-in-the-Bank contract and going for the pin on Reigns as the referee rings the bell to officially start the impromptu title match, but Roman would kick out! Sheamus then sizes Reigns up for another Brogue Kick, but Roman dodges the kick before Sheamus dodges the Spear and scores with the Brogue Kick again, this time scoring the three-count to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion! As confetti continues to fill the ring, Triple H comes back into the ring, shaking hands and embracing the brand new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, indicating that Triple H has found his new “man” in Sheamus! Having successfully crushed the championship dreams of Roman Reigns, Triple H raises the hand of the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, leaving a physically and emotionally broken Roman Reigns in the middle of the ring, lying amongst the confetti that had christened his monumental championship victory mere minutes earlier before his world came crashing down around him thanks to Triple H and Sheamus.
