WWE RAW Results: November 23, 2015By Cassidy| November 24, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results One night after Sheamus cashed in his Money-in-the-Bank contract and ultimately defeated Roman Reigns to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Survivor Series, RAW kicks off with The Authority as WWE COO Triple H & WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon make their way to the ring. Stephanie says that life is often defined by “opportunity”, saying that Roman Reigns let opportunity pass him by. Triple H then says that, a couple of weeks ago, all Roman Reigns had to do was shake his hand and show that he had “faith” in the “company” that has had faith in him, but Roman told him to “shove” his opportunity. Stephanie says that, for Roman Reigns, opportunity “knocked twice” and Roman refused Triple H’s offer both before and after the tournament, even being the victim of a Spear by Reigns. Triple H says that he’s not a “petty man” and, after Roman Reigns won the title all on his own, he was the first one to stand there, look Roman in the eye, and congratulate him, as well as offer Reigns the opportunity again. Triple H continues, saying that Reigns’ pride made him “cheap shot” the COO and that cheap shot is why Roman is no longer the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Triple H then tells the crowd that their lives are defined by their “opportunities”, the ones they “seize” and the ones they “miss” before Triple H introduces them to a man who knows how to “seize” an opportunity, introducing the brand new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. With a grin on his face, the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus makes his way to the ring, commending Triple H on a “top class” introduction. As the fans chant “you look stupid”, Sheamus says that this is his moment and he will not let them stand in his way before saying that, at Survivor Series, Roman Reigns finally made it to the “top of the mountain”, but he just couldn’t stay there. The new champion continues, saying that the Roman Empire lasted 500 years, but WWE’s Roman Empire lasted all of five minutes and fifteen seconds. Sheamus then says that, when Brutus stabbed Caesar, at least Caesar rolled over and died “like a man” before saying that he just has one question for the fans, holding up the WWE World Heavyweight Title and asking “who looks stupid now?” Triple H comments that Sheamus doesn’t look “stupid”, he looks like the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, embracing Triple H & Stephanie McMahon before the celebration is interrupted by the former champion, Roman Reigns. Roman wastes no time in getting in the new champion’s face, saying that he wants his rematch for the title tonight. Stephanie then breaks it up, telling Roman that his chance to make demands of them went away last night when he attacked Triple H with the Spear before telling Reigns to back up and get out of her ring! Roman responds by looking around Stephanie, asking Triple H if he is standing behind her because he’s “scared”, prompting Stephanie to step aside as Roman and Triple H go face-to-face in the middle of the ring, staring each other down. Triple H asks Roman how that Spear of his worked out for him last night, saying that Reigns has nothing to show for it before proclaiming in no uncertain terms that he will decide when Roman gets his rematch. Triple H & Stephanie then leave the ring as an unsuspecting Roman Reigns turns around into a huge side kick by none other than Rusev! “The Bulgarian Brute” then stands by as Sheamus sizes up Roman Reigns before the new champion lays Roman out with the Brogue Kick! Sheamus & Rusev then leave the ring, joining Triple H & Stephanie on the stage as Triple H announces that, in three weeks at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, & Chairs, Roman Reigns will get his rematch when he challenges Sheamus for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a Tables, Ladders, & Chairs Match! In addition, Stephanie then announces that, in the main event, Roman Reigns will go one-on-one with Rusev with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus in Rusev’s corner. After losing to The Undertaker & Kane at Survivor Series, The Wyatt Family would be looking to get back on track on RAW as Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper, with Erick Rowan & Braun Strowman in their corner, would face The Dudley Boyz in tag team action. During the match, Erick Rowan would get on the ring apron, distracting Bubba Ray long enough for Luke Harper to connect with the Discus Clothesline, pinning Bubba Ray to pick up the win for himself and Bray Wyatt. After the match, D-Von would enter the ring to check on Bubba Ray before Erick Rowan attacks D-Von with a full nelson slam. The mountainous Braun Strowman then enters the ring, locking Bubba Ray in his devastating triangle choke, leaving Bubba Ray motionless in the ring. Luke Harper & Erick Rowan then hold D-Von for their leader as Bray Wyatt hits D-Von with Sister Abigail in the middle of the ring, kneeling next to D-Von and yelling “follow the buzzards”. The Divas were in action on RAW as Team B.A.D.’s Sasha Banks, with Naomi & Tamina in her corner, would go one-on-one with Becky Lynch. During the match, Becky Lynch would lock in the Dis-Arm-Her on Sasha Banks, but a distraction from Tamina would allow Naomi to get involved, pulling Sasha to where her foot is under the bottom rope. This would lead to the hold being broken and, after another distraction from Naomi & Tamina, Sasha would roll up Becky, hooking the tights for the illegal advantage to score the three-count and the win. After the match, Paige would appear on the Tron, saying that, despite her loss at Survivor Series, she is still the next in line for a shot at Charlotte’s Divas Championship, accusing Charlotte of being a “cheater”. Paige then shows undeniable footage from Survivor Series where Paige was locked in Charlotte’s Figure-Eight submission with Charlotte’s arms inadvertently under the bottom while Paige is tapping out. Paige then says that she hates how Charlotte walks around like she is “somebody”, saying that Charlotte is just like her dad, a “dirty player”. Paige then says she is going to show everyone that Charlotte is just like her father, an “embarrassment”. To celebrate their one year anniversary as a team, the WWE Tag Team Champions would have a special celebration for the Nashville crowd as The New Day would present the First Anniversary Country Music Jamboree & WWE Tag Team Championship Open Challenge! The New Day wastes no time insulting the Nashville fans, saying that “country music sucks” before mocking the genre. Xavier Woods then sings “don’t let your babies grow up to be booty” before The New Day says that they are so inspired by The Authority’s “power of opportunity” that they are issuing an open challenge for anyone to challenge them for the WWE Tag Team Titles! This brings out The Lucha Dragons as Kalisto says that, if The New Day is serious about their open challenge, then they are serious about accepting it! This leads to a face-off between the two teams in the ring before The New Day tries to leave the ring, but The Usos come out as Kofi Kingston claims that The Usos are not “ready” for a title shot. Sin Cara then says that, even though they were out there first, they should make it a Triple Threat Match! With both teams ready to take on the open challenge, The New Day says that their jamboree has been ruined and, because of that, nobody is getting a shot at their tag titles, declaring that the open challenge has been “cancelled”! This sparks a brawl between the teams with The Usos and The Lucha Dragons getting the better of the WWE Tag Team Champions, sending The New Day intro retreat. In an intriguing one-on-one match, “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Neville would face “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry. Despite Mark Henry dominating the match, the resilient Neville would battle back, avoiding the World’s Strongest Slam and stunning Mark Henry with a kick before scoring with the Red Arrow, pinning “The World’s Strongest Man” to pick up an unexpected victory over his larger opponent. After greeting some of the fans in the front row, Neville was ready to head up the ramp, but his path is blocked by Mark Henry, who stares down the high-flyer before extending his hand as the two competitors shake hands in a rare sign of respect for each other. After making his return on the Survivor Series Kickoff show in a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match, Goldust would make his return to RAW as “The Bizarre One” would team with The Prime Time Players to face his brother, Stardust, and The Ascension in a 6-Man Tag match. In the end, it was Titus O’Neil hitting the Clash of the Titus, pinning Konnor to pick up the win for his team. The United States Champion would make an appearance on RAW as the self-proclaimed “MexAmerican Champion” Alberto Del Rio would make his way to ringside with Zeb Colter in tow. Colter says that the fans took to social media and became a bunch of “haters” of MexAmerica, saying that they tried to teach the fans “humility” and “tolerance” before saying that they are through trying to help America. Del Rio then declares that the borders of MexAmerica are “closed forever”. Having heard enough of Del Rio & Zeb Colter, “The Real American” Jack Swagger makes his way out to the stage, saying that he cannot believe what he’s hearing, saying that Zeb used to stand for something. Swagger then accuses Colter of turning his back on the fans, calling his former manager an “old hypocrite” before Del Rio, who is now in the ring, cuts him off, calling Swagger a “stupid American”. Swagger then proclaims that he promised to defend America against all enemies, both “foreign and domestic”, saying that, if Del Rio doesn’t like what he has to say, then he should do something about it. With that, “The Real American” marches to the ring, ready to fight Del Rio, but the United States Champion decides to back off. Del Rio and Colter then exit the ring as Swagger urges everyone to put their hands over their hearts and say loud and proud, “we the people”. After exposing the controversy that ended their title match at Survivor Series, Paige would get her second shot at the gold on RAW as Paige would challenge Charlotte for the Divas Championship. During an intense rematch between the two rivals, Charlotte would manage to catch Paige with a Spear on the ring apron, sending both champion and challenger to the arena floor. Charlotte would try to get back in the ring, but Paige would hold Charlotte back and both Divas would end up getting counted out, keeping the title with Charlotte. Despite the match being over, Paige would continue the assault, sending the Divas Champion into the steel ring steps before exposing the announce table, rolling Charlotte onto the announce table and locking in the PTO, torturing the champion until referees come out to break it up. “The One Man Band” Heath Slater would then make an appearance on RAW, vowing to entertain the fans with an impromptu concert before he is interrupted by Ryback. “The Big Guy” makes his way to the ring where Heath Slater smashes his guitar over Ryback’s back, but “The Big Guy” would not be affected as Ryback would blast Slater with the Meat Hook Clothesline, following it up with Shell Shocked, leaving Slater laid out. After coming up short in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, Dean Ambrose would be in action on RAW as “The Lunatic Fringe” would join forces with Dolph Ziggler to face the team of Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens and “Prince Pretty” Tyler Breeze, with Summer Rae in his corner. In the end, it was Dean Ambrose delivering Dirty Deeds to Tyler Breeze and, while Kevin Owens watches from the outside, Ambrose scores the three-count to pick up the win for his team. Then it was time for the main event as, after being ambushed by Rusev earlier in the night, Roman Reigns would go one-on-one with “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev, with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus in his corner. During the match, Rusev would send Roman Reigns to the outside and, with Rusev drawing the referee’s attention, Sheamus would cheap shot Reigns, allowing Rusev to take advantage. Sheamus would continue to be a factor in the match, tripping Roman Reigns’ from the outside, but the referee would spot Sheamus’ interference and would eject the WWE World Heavyweight Champion from ringside! Throughout the match, Roman Reigns would take Rusev’s best shots, continuing to fight back, but when Roman charges at Rusev on the outside, Rusev catches Reigns with a kick to the face. Rusev then tosses Reigns into the ringside barricade before repeatedly smashing Roman’s face on the announce table. Rusev then rolls Roman back into the ring and, when Rusev gets on the ring apron, Roman was waiting with the Superman Punch, knocking Rusev off of the apron to the floor. Reigns then charges at Rusev again, this time connecting with the Drive-By dropkick, but just as it looked like Roman was close to a victory, King Barrett would come out of nowhere with the Royal Bull Hammer to Reigns, ending the match by disqualification! Barrett then grabs a steel chair, entering the ring with it, but Roman gets his hands on the chair, using it to take Barrett out before wearing Rusev out with countless chair shots. Sheamus then rushes the ring and the new champion gets a piece of the steel as well as Roman gets a few chair shots in on Sheamus before Sheamus retreats from the ring, leaving Roman Reigns standing tall with steel chair in hand.
