After abducting both The Undertaker and Demon Kane at WWE Hell in a Cell and on RAW, Bray Wyatt would appear in an unknown location in his signature rocking chair holding the signature hat of The Undertaker. Bray says that he “owns” the soul of Kane and he “owns” the soul of The Undertaker before issuing a challenge to any three souls brave enough to come forth and face his “monsters”. This brings in Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, & Braun Strowman with Erick Rowan saying that he was never allowed to dress up for Halloween because it was “too sinful”. Luke Harper then says that their attire is not a “costume”, their “evil” is very real before Bray has a message for the three Superstars who step up to face The Wyatt Family, saying “my condolences”, holding up the mask of Demon Kane before handing the mask to Strowman. Strowman then says that their “annihilation awaits”, concluding by advising them to “run”.

After following up a Hell in a Cell victory over Bray Wyatt at WWE Hell in a Cell by becoming the new #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on RAW, SmackDown officially gets underway with Roman Reigns, who makes his way to the ring. Roman says that, since day one, he’s had one goal and one dream and that is to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Reigns says that he’s been knocked down a lot, but he got back in the “fight” and, now, there’s only one man in his way and that is Seth Rollins and no one wants him to fail more than Rollins does. This brings Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens out to the stage as Owens says that Reigns “stole one” from him on RAW and, as Owens makes his way to the ring, the Intercontinental Champion says that Roman’s win on RAW was a “fluke”. Owens continues, saying that he was just one Pop-Up Powerbomb away from winning and Roman can “believe that”. Reigns says that his victory was “straight skill” before saying that Owens can “talk Owens talk” or he can enter the ring and “fight Owens fight” because he’s not leaving the ring until he gets a fight.

A referee then gets in the ring before Kevin Owens cautiously gets in the ring, getting in the face of Roman Reigns before handing off his title belt as the non-title match gets underway. During the match, Kevin Owens was on the top turnbuckle when Roman Reigns catches the Intercontinental Champion with the Superman Punch, knocking Owens to the floor. However, Owens would decide that he’s had enough as the Intercontinental Champion grabs his title belt and walks out on the match, giving Roman the count-out win.

Backstage, Dean Ambrose reveals to Renee Young that he is accepting The Wyatt Family’s challenge, saying that he fears nothing and, if he is forced to go it alone, then he is going to take The Wyatt Family down with him.

In a Halloween-themed encounter, SmackDown would feature a Tag Team Terror Four Corners Match as The Dudley Boyz, The Ascension, The Lucha Dragons, and Sheamus & King Barrett would collide in a match where a Superstar can tag anyone in, whether they are on their team or not, with the first team to score a pinfall or submission winning the match with WWE Tag Team Champions Big E & Kofi Kingston guests on commentary. In an out-of-control match, The Dudley Boyz and Sheamus & King Barrett would come to blows as both teams end up fighting all the way to the back. Meanwhile, in the ring, Kalisto hits the Salida del Sol, pinning Viktor to pick up the win for The Lucha Dragons.

Backstage, Dean Ambrose finds Cesaro, trying to guess what “The Swiss Superman” is dressed as, but Cesaro says that he’s just dressed like he’s always dressed before Cesaro volunteers to be Ambrose’s partner against The Wyatt Family later tonight! Cesaro then says that he ruins dreams like Freddy Krueger, saying that Ambrose can be Jason Voorhees, but “The Lunatic Fringe” says that he will just be himself.

With carved pumpkins adorning the ring and skeletons hanging from the ring posts, as well as other Halloween tricks, “The Show Off” Dolph Ziggler would go one-on-one with The Miz in a Trick or Treat Street Fight. Early on in the match, The Miz would find a toy light saber and Dolph Ziggler would find a candy corn kendo stick, using the festive weapon to wear down The Miz. The fight then continues on the outside where Dolph forces The Miz to go bobbing for apples before putting a large jack o’lantern on the head of The Miz. Dolph then brings The Miz into the ring, smashing The Miz’s pumpkin with a super kick before the fight returns to the outside where The Miz regains the advantage, tossing Dolph over the announce table. Back in the ring, The Miz grabs the candy corn kendo stick, using the stick to target the knee of Dolph Ziggler before he wraps Dolph’s knee around the steel ring post. The Miz then picks up a steel chair, using the chair to smash the knee of Dolph between the chair and ring post. The Miz would then look for the Figure-Four Leg Lock in the ring, but Dolph would counter into a roll-up, scoring the three-count to pick up the win! After the match, Dolph Ziggler was unable to leave the ring due to his injured knee and this is when Tyler Breeze, with Summer Rae by his side, would pick his spot. Despite Dolph getting a couple of shots in on Breeze, “Prince Pretty” would use a kendo stick shot to the knee to take Dolph down before Breeze begins to pummel Ziggler until referees come out to break it up, but Breeze is able to break away and get a few more shots in on Dolph before the referees are finally able to stop the assault.

After showing her true colors on RAW by leaving both Becky Lynch and Divas Champion Charlotte laid out with the Ram Paige, Paige would go one-on-one with the Diva she was accused of attacking a couple of weeks ago, Natalya. During the match, Natalya would hit a German suplex on Paige that forces Paige to roll out of the ring and that is when Team B.A.D. would make an unexpected appearance. Making their way to the ring, Sasha Banks & Naomi mock Natalya regarding being attacked before Sasha says that Natalya is always looking for attention and, now, Natalya has their attention. The distraction from Team B.A.D. would allow Paige to take advantage, hitting the Ram Paige and pinning Natalya for the win. After the match, Paige is quick to exit the ring as Team B.A.D. surrounds Natalya in the ring with Tamina dropping Natalya with a super kick before the dangerous trio puts the boots to Natalya. Naomi then delivers double boots to the jaw of Natalya before Sasha Banks locks in the Bank Statement on Natalya with Natalya tapping out until the referee is finally able to break it up.

Backstage, Dean Ambrose finds the third man for his team as Ryback steps up to join Ambrose & Cesaro as Ryback says that he doesn’t “step on toes”, he steps on “necks”, saying “feed me more”.

For the first time in more than a year, Alberto Del Rio would appear on SmackDown as, with Zeb Colter by his side, the new United States Champion would make their way to the stage. Colter says that what they are seeing is real before saying Del Rio is a “hard-working individual” and he is proud to be out there sharing the stage with a “true champion” and the first citizen of their soon-to-be great nation “MexAmerica”. Zeb continues, saying that the United States Championship should not only represent the United States of America, but Mexico as well, declaring that the United States Title will represent the great people of MexAmerica. Del Rio then proclaims that the United States Championship is now the “MexAmerica Championship”!

The self-proclaimed holder of the “MexAmerica Championship” was in action on SmackDown as United States Champion Alberto Del Rio, with Zeb Colter in his corner, would face R-Truth in a non-title match. It was a quick victory for the United States Champion as Alberto Del Rio hits the double stomp off of the top rope, pinning R-Truth for the win.

Then it was time for the main event as “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose would join forces with “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro and “The Big Guy” Ryback to answer Bray Wyatt’s Face The Fear Challenge as Ambrose, Cesaro, & Ryback would face The Wyatt Family’s Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, & Braun Strowman, with Bray Wyatt in their corner, in a 6-Man Tag match. The match would ultimately descend into chaos with Ryback diving at Braun Strowman on the outside, taking both big men over the announce table. Then, in the ring, it would come down to Cesaro and Luke Harper with Cesaro setting up for the Cesaro Swing on Harper, but that is when an enraged Braun Strowman would tip the entire announce table over, getting on the ring apron to distract the referee long enough for Bray Wyatt to deliver a right hand to Cesaro! Harper then takes advantage with the Discus Clothesline, pinning Cesaro to pick up the win for The Wyatt Family. With his victorious monsters standing behind him, Bray Wyatt kneels next to Cesaro in the ring, screaming “follow the buzzards”.
