WWE SmackDown Results: October 22, 2015By Cassidy| October 23, 2015 WWE SmackDown Previous Page Detailed Results Before SmackDown officially gets underway, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is backstage when he runs into Director of Operations Corporate Kane. Rollins says this is Corporate Kane’s last night as the Director of Operations because, after he beats Demon Kane at WWE Hell in a Cell, Corporate Kane will be out of a job. Corporate Kane is quick to remind the champion that this could be Rollins’ last night as WWE World Heavyweight Champion before saying that the fans deserve to see “the man” in action one last time before this Sunday, opting to keep Rollins’ opponent a secret. Corporate Kane then tells the champion that he better not feign an injury to try and get out of the match like he did on RAW because you never know who might show up to stop him! After Rollins walks off, Corporate Kane runs into two-thirds of The New Day as a solemn Big E & Kofi Kingston say that Xavier Woods was put through a table by The Dudley Boyz on RAW, saying that they are supposed to be “three unicorns” standing together “spreading magic”. Kofi then says that there are only two unicorns and it is all Corporate Kane’s fault, calling Kane “booty”. The Director of Operations mimics playing the “world’s smallest trombone” before saying that he has the perfect thing to take Big E & Kofi Kingston’s minds off of Xavier Woods, putting the WWE Tag Team Champions in a match against Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns! Three nights before he defends the WWE World Heavyweight Title against Demon Kane at WWE Hell in a Cell in a match where, if Demon Kane does not win the title, then Corporate Kane will lose his job as the Director of Operations, SmackDown officially gets underway with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion as Seth Rollins would go one-on-one with “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro in a non-title match. Early on in the match, Seth Rollins grabs his WWE World Heavyweight Title belt with the intention of walking out on the match, but that is when the champion would remember the veiled threat by Corporate Kane, deciding to return to the ring to continue the match. At the end of a hard-fought match, it was Seth Rollins planting Cesaro with the Pedigree, pinning “The Swiss Superman” for the win. With everyone looking at her as the prime suspect for the attack on Natalya on last week’s SmackDown, Paige would make an appearance on SmackDown to address the accusations. Paige says that no one believes that she did not attack Natalya last week, saying that there are only two people that she “cares about” that she wants to believe her and that is Charlotte & Becky Lynch, asking the two Divas to join her in the ring. The Divas Champion and “The Lass Kicker” then make their way to the ring to confront Paige as Becky tells Paige to hurry up and finish her “empty speech”. Paige says that she “meant it” when she said that she was glad Charlotte & Becky were on the main roster and Becky responds by asking Paige if she also meant it when she said that Charlotte is the Divas Champion because of who her father is or when Paige said that Becky is “irrelevant”. Becky then asks Paige what she expects them to think after the way Paige has been acting towards Natalya the last few weeks. Paige then admits that she was “jealous” of Natalya teaming with Charlotte & Becky, but argues that she would never hurt Natalya and jeopardize what they have, saying they are a “family”. Charlotte then weighs in, saying that she is trying to understand where Paige is coming from, but she can’t, saying that Paige had her “moment”. The Divas Champion then says that all she wanted to do was share her first Divas Title win with her Team PCB teammates before saying that Paige does not “respect” her and Paige cannot stand the fact that is not about her! Charlotte continues, saying that she is three days away from defending the Divas Championship for the first time and Paige is out there making it all about her once again. The confrontation is then interrupted with the arrival of Team Bella as Charlotte’s challenger for the Divas Title at WWE Hell in a Cell, Nikki Bella, is flanked by Brie Bella & Alicia Fox as the trio makes their way to the ring. Nikki says that, when she was the Divas Champion, she did not let anything distract her from the championship before Brie Bella asks if this is SmackDown or an episode of “Pretty Little Liars”. Nikki then says that, while “Little Miss Flair” has been busy with “Beetlejuice”, she has been focused on regaining the Divas Title, saying that is the lesson that Charlotte is going to have to learn. Charlotte then cuts Nikki off, saying that it is no longer Nikki’s title, it belongs to her and she is the champion, saying that she doesn’t want to wait until this Sunday, daring Nikki to fight her right now. However, Paige jumps in, saying that, if Nikki wants to get to Charlotte, she is going to have to go through her! Brie brings up that Nikki has beaten Paige in the past, leading to Nikki Bella accepting Paige’s challenge! In an impromptu Divas match, the #1 Contender for the Divas Championship this Sunday at WWE Hell in a Cell, Nikki Bella, with her Team Bella teammates Brie Bella & Alicia Fox in her corner, would go one-on-one with Paige, with Divas Champion Charlotte & Becky Lynch at ringside. In the end, it was Nikki Bella hitting the Rack Attack, pinning Paige for the win. The Miz would then be in the ring as the self-proclaimed “A-Lister” would present Miz TV. Before bringing out his guests, The Miz welcomes everyone to Miz TV before saying that he has had his fair share of “tabloid drama”, but he has never seen anything like the “love quadrangle” between Rusev, Summer Rae, Dolph Ziggler, & Lana. The Miz then shows the abrupt split of Rusev & Summer Rae after Summer found out through TMZ that Rusev has been engaged to Lana for the last month, as well as Dolph Ziggler turning Summer Rae down last week. The Miz then introduces his first guest as the host brings out Dolph Ziggler as “The Show Off” makes his way to the ring. Both The Miz and Dolph have a seat before Miz says that, next to him, Dolph is the biggest “heartthrob” in WWE, asking Ziggler how it feels to be “tossed aside” in such an embarrassing and public manner. Dolph says that The Miz is more of an “ambassador” than a wrestler before saying that Lana is a grown woman and she can do whatever she wants before saying that Summer Rae was just “using” Rusev and Summer was trying to use him too. The Miz says that Dolph drove Lana into the arms of Rusev before introducing his second guest as Summer Rae joins Dolph and The Miz on Miz TV. The Miz says that Summer has been treated the “worst” out of everyone involved, saying that Summer and Rusev had such a “special bond”, calling Dolph a “home wrecker”. Summer addressed Dolph, saying that they have an undeniable “chemistry”, saying that she “proposed to the wrong man”. Ziggler laughs at Summer before saying that he’s just not into Summer and Summer laughs at Dolph, saying that she didn’t come out there to propose to Dolph, she came out there to tell him that she has “moved on”, saying that she wants to show Dolph what a “real man” looks like. With that, the NXT mainstay who refers to himself as “The Gorgeous One” makes his main roster debut as Tyler Breeze steps out onto the SmackDown stage for the first time, selfie stick and all. The vain competitor struts his way to the ring, handing his selfie stick to Summer before saying that he’s a man who needs “no introduction” before saying that they call him “The King of Cuteville” and “The Sultan of Selfies”, but Dolph can call him Tyler Breeze. Breeze then says that, when she heard that Summer was being mistreated by an “uggo” like Ziggler, he had to come be by her side, saying that, together, he and Summer Rae are going to give WWE a much-needed “facelift”. Breeze & Summer then pose for a selfie before Breeze says that “Prince Pretty” has arrived. Dolph then tries to respond to “Prince Pretty”, but Breeze attacks Ziggler, pummeling “The Show Off” and jamming his selfie stick into the previously injured throat of Ziggler. Breeze then continues to beat Ziggler down before referees rush out to break it up, helping Dolph to his feet only for Breeze to hit his spinning heel kick, the Beauty Shot, on Ziggler! Breeze & Summer then pose for another selfie as Breeze celebrates his unforgettable debut on the main roster. Before Rusev, King Barrett, & Sheamus face Dolph Ziggler, Neville, & Cesaro in a 6-Man Tag match on the WWE Hell in a Cell Kickoff show this Sunday, King Barrett & “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Sheamus, with Rusev in their corner, would face The Lucha Dragons on SmackDown. In the end, it was a distraction by King Barrett on the outside that would allow Sheamus to take advantage, hitting the Brogue Kick and pinning Kalisto for the win. With an Intercontinental Title match against champion Kevin Owens coming up this Sunday at WWE Hell in a Cell, Ryback was in action on SmackDown as “The Big Guy” would go one-on-one with Bo Dallas. In the end, it was a dominant victory for Ryback as “The Big Guy” hits Shell Shocked, pinning Bo Dallas for the win. Then it was time for the main event as, three nights before he steps into the Hell in a Cell structure to finish his rivalry with Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns would team with “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose to face WWE Tag Team Champions Big E & Kofi Kingston in a non-title match. During the match, Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose would clear the ring of Big E & Kofi Kingston and the champions would try to walk out on the match, but Big E & Kofi would find themselves face-to-face with their WWE Hell in a Cell challengers, The Dudley Boyz, as the champions backtrack to the ring, right into the grasp of Reigns & Ambrose. Shortly after this, Roman hits the Superman Punch on Kofi Kingston, following it up with the Spear, pinning Kofi to pick up the win for himself and Dean Ambrose. After the match, Bray Wyatt interrupts the celebration, appearing on the Tron in his signature rocking chair, saying that, no matter how hard Roman tries, he cannot “outrun” his “fear”, telling Reigns that he will see him in “hell” before his psychotic laughter is heard throughout the arena.
