WWE RAW Results: October 5, 2015By Cassidy| October 6, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results After manhandling “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show this past Saturday night in Madison Square Garden, RAW would kick off with “The Beast” as Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring with his advocate Paul Heyman in tow. Heyman says that, now that Brock Lesnar has dealt with Big Show, it is time for “The Beast” to turn his focus to The Undertaker and their match inside Hell in a Cell. Heyman continues, saying that The Undertaker will have to come to terms with the fact that he will “never, ever get revenge” for Brock Lesnar ending his undefeated WrestleMania streak. Heyman then says that, since The Undertaker’s debut, The Undertaker has exacted revenge on anyone and everyone who has wronged him, but this time, The Undertaker will have to learn that this is a fight that he “cannot win”. Heyman continues, saying that The Undertaker considers Hell in a Cell to be “The Devil’s Playground”, but Brock Lesnar considers Hell in a Cell to be “The Lair of The Beast” before saying that WrestleMania was The Undertaker’s event before he stepped into the ring against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30, showing the footage of Brock ending the streak. Heyman then says that The Undertaker spent over a year recovering and plotting his revenge, but when The Undertaker went one-on-one with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, The Undertaker realized that he was not “deadman enough” to get revenge over Brock Lesnar before Heyman shows the controversial finish to the match between Lesnar and The Undertaker at SummerSlam where “The Phenom” tapped out to Brock’s Kimura Lock and the timekeeper jumped the gun by ringing the bell for the submission. In the confusion between the referee and the timekeeper, The Undertaker would use a low blow on Lesnar, locking in Hell’s Gate and making “The Beast” pass out in the hold to pick up a questionable victory. Heyman then says that Brock Lesnar has never had to use a low blow to beat The Undertaker before vowing that Hell in a Cell will be the last time that Brock Lesnar will ever face The Undertaker and one of them will ascend to the heavens as the “victor” while the other will not walk out of Hell in a Cell at all. Heyman continues, saying that it’s not a “prediction”, it is a “spoiler” before saying that his eyes have seen the “glory” of the coming of his “lord”, The Undertaker’s “conqueror”, and his “Beast”, who will “extinguish the life” that has signified The Undertaker’s darkness all of these years. Paul Heyman is then interrupted by “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show as the giant makes his way to the ring to confront the man who took him to “Suplex City” this past Saturday night, Brock Lesnar. After soaking in the chants of “please retire”, Big Show says that he was “that close” to wiping the grin off of Brock’s face and because he’s the “bigger man”, he is going to put his hand out right now and admit that Lesnar is “the man”. Big Show does just this, extending his hand to “The Beast”, but Brock just laughs at the giant, walking past Big Show and exiting the ring. Big Show responds by saying that, when Brock faces The Undertaker at WWE Hell in a Cell, he hopes that Lesnar loses “again”. This gets the attention of Brock Lesnar, who gets back in the ring as Big Show readies himself for a fight and a fight is what “The World’s Largest Athlete” would get as “The Beast” tosses Big Show across the ring with a belly-to-belly suplex before hoisting the giant up on his shoulders and delivering a thunderous F-5! Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman then confidently walk to the back as Big Show slowly rolls out of the ring. Backstage, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is with WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon as Rollins asks Stephanie what he’s going to do later in the night as he and Big Show were scheduled to take on The Dudley Boyz, but after Big Show’s confrontation with Brock Lesnar, the giant is in no condition to compete. Stephanie responds by saying that Rollins is “the man” so he will be able to figure something out. Before he enters Hell in a Cell to go one-on-one with Bray Wyatt in three weeks at WWE Hell in a Cell, Roman Reigns would join forces with “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose and “The Viper” Randy Orton to face The Wyatt Family, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, & Braun Strowman, in a 6-Man Tag match in the opening match of the night. During the hard-hitting match, all hell would break loose between the six men as Dean Ambrose dives on Braun Strowman on the outside, taking both himself and Strowman over the ringside barricade. Meanwhile, in the ring, Roman Reigns was setting up for the Spear on Luke Harper before Bray Wyatt intervenes. Randy Orton then enters the fray, nearly hitting Wyatt with the RKO, but Bray escapes and Luke Harper gets the RKO instead. Then, as Bray looks on from the ramp, Roman blasts Luke Harper with the Spear, pinning Harper to pick up the win for his team. After making his return on last week’s RAW where he leveled both Neville and Stardust with the Royal Bull Hammer, King Barrett was a guest on commentary as “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Neville would go one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Sheamus. The match would barely get underway before King Barrett gets involved, distracting Neville long enough for Sheamus to take advantage, scoring with the Brogue Kick as “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” picks up the win. Sporting a protective boot following the assault on his ankle by Seth Rollins last week, Director of Operations Kane would make an appearance on RAW. Corporate Kane says that things have not been going Seth Rollins’ way as of late, saying that, with Brock Lesnar taking Big Show out, Rollins is in need of a tag team partner. Kane then suggests that he will be Rollins’ tag team partner, but the WWE World Heavyweight Champion takes issue with this as Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. The champion says that Kane is “no Tom Brady”, saying that while they both have “deflated balls”, Kane cannot “swindle” his way into getting what he wants. Rollins then says that life does not work like that for people like Kane, saying that he is not going to be playing into Kane’s “mind games” anymore. Corporate Kane says that his goal is to be the “best” Director of Operations that he can be and the best way for him to do that is by bringing out the “best” in Seth Rollins. Rollins holds up the title belt, saying that it brings out the “best” in him before Kane says that he gets the feeling that Rollins does not like the man that he sees in the mirror. Corporate Kane continues, saying that, sometimes, to be “the man”, you’ve got to “go through hell and face your demons”. The champion asks if it counts as facing his “demons” if he takes Kane to “hell” right now, but before the situation escalates, WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon makes her way to the ring. Stephanie says that she has tried to settle this by going through the “proper channels”, saying that at least Tom Brady is a “team player” and a “great leader” who will lead the New England Patriots to another Super Bowl victory. Stephanie then says that there is only one way to settle this, announcing that, in three weeks at WWE Hell in a Cell, Demon Kane will challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship! Stephanie then addresses the situation regarding the tag match later on, saying that, if Kane is confident that he can tape up his ankle and be ready to compete alongside Seth Rollins against The Dudley Boyz, then “have at it”! Stephanie then has one more announcement to make, saying that, if Demon Kane does not defeat Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Hell in a Cell, then Corporate Kane will lose his job as the Director of Operations! Stephanie then leaves the ring as Rollins and Kane awkwardly stare each other down as both of them realize the magnitude of what is at stake at WWE Hell in a Cell. Former friends would square off on RAW as Paige would go one-on-one with Natalya. At the end of a hard-fought match, it was Natalya locking in the Sharpshooter on Paige in the middle of the ring, making Paige tap out to pick up the win. The Intercontinental Champion was in action on RAW as Kevin Owens would go one-on-one with Sin Cara, with Kalisto in his corner, in a non-title match. In the end, it was Kevin Owens planting Sin Cara with the Pop-Up Powerbomb, pinning the high-flyer for the win. After the match, Kevin Owens would kick Kalisto out of the ring before setting up for a Pop-Up Powerbomb on the arena floor, but Ryback makes the save, making a beeline for Kevin Owens before the Intercontinental Champion makes a quick escape into the crowd. After finding out earlier in the night that, at WWE Hell in a Cell in three weeks, he will put the WWE World Heavyweight Title on the line against Demon Kane in a match where, if Demon Kane does not win the title, then Corporate Kane will lose his job as Director of Operations, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins would team with the injured Corporate Kane to face The Dudley Boyz in tag team action. Throughout the match, Seth Rollins would boss Corporate Kane around while Kane struggles to stay in the match with his injured ankle. Surprisingly, Rollins and Kane would end up working well together in the match, but that would all change when Corporate Kane’s ankle gives out on him. Calling for the trainer at ringside, Corporate Kane would be told that they need to take him to the back to take a look at his ankle, but upon hearing this, Seth Rollins would pull out a pair of handcuffs, handcuffing Corporate Kane to the top rope in an attempt to keep Kane from being taken to the back and leaving the door open for Demon Kane to emerge like he did last week. However, when D-Von Dudley launches Seth Rollins into Corporate Kane, Kane falls off of the ring apron and the handcuffs snap in the process! Much like last week, the injured Kane would be helped to the back by the trainer and, just like on SmackDown, Corporate Kane looks over his shoulder, smiling at Rollins before heading to the back as Rollins is left all alone to face The Dudley Boyz. Bubba Ray & D-Von would take it to the champion, but when The Dudley Boyz pull a table out from under the ring, Rollins uses a baseball slide to smash the table into the face of The Dudley Boyz, ending the match by disqualification. Rollins then grabs his title belt, but before he can flee, Demon Kane emerges from the back. With nowhere to run, Seth Rollins is forced to try and combat the big man, but Kane is quick to get the better of the champion. However, as Demon Kane closes in on Seth Rollins in the ring, The Dudley Boyz would have some payback in mind as Bubba Ray & D-Von would hit Demon Kane with the 3-D in response to Kane chokeslamming both of them on SmackDown! With Demon Kane down and out in the ring, Seth Rollins would look at Kane and smile before leaving the ring, but the champion would set his sights on the table at ringside as Rollins brings the table into the ring, setting up the table. Rollins then stands over Kane, taunting the demon, but Kane grabs Rollins by the throat, driving the champion through the table with a huge chokeslam! Demon Kane is then the one who is left standing tall over his WWE Hell in a Cell opponent, laughing maniacally. In 6-Diva Tag action, Boston’s own Sasha Banks would join forces with her Team B.A.D. teammates Naomi & Tamina to face Team Bella, Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, & Alicia Fox. At the end of a wild match, it was Sasha Banks locking in the Bank Statement on Alicia Fox, making Fox tap out to pick up the win for Team B.A.D. “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev & Summer Rae would appear on RAW as Summer says that she wanted to dedicate an entire segment of RAW to a Superstar who has done more this year than any other Superstar on the roster. Summer then shows a mushy montage of her and Rusev’s time together before Rusev admits that, when they started off as a couple, he didn’t like Summer Rae at all! Rusev continues, saying that, now, he cannot imagine caring about anyone else more than Summer Rae. Summer then says that there is something that she has to ask him before Summer Rae gets down on one knee and proposes to her “RuRu”, asking “The Bulgarian Brute” to marry her! Summer says that she can give him everything that he’s ever dreamt of and all he has to do is say “yes”. Rusev mulls the decision over before saying “yes”, appearing to agree to marry Summer! However, Rusev explains that he is not saying “yes” just yet, saying that they must prove to each other that they are worthy of getting married. Rusev then lays down the ultimatum that, only when he has gold around his waist will Summer Rae have gold around her finger! Rusev then exits the ring, leaving a crushed and confused Summer Rae in the ring before Summer walks to the back with “The Bulgarian Brute”, apparently accepting Rusev’s terms. Then it was time for the main event as, after surviving a grueling Steel Cage Match against Seth Rollins on Saturday night in Madison Square Garden to retain the United States Championship, United States Champion John Cena would be on RAW for his U.S. Open Challenge where he would defend the United States Title against anyone in the back who wants a shot at the gold. Cena says that Boston is the place to be and John Cena is the “man to beat” before declaring the start of the U.S. Open Challenge by proclaiming “you want some, come get some”. Dolph Ziggler’s music then plays as it appears as though “The Show Off” was going to accept the challenge, but Dolph would not come out. However, who does come out is the WWE Tag Team Champions as The New Day comes out to the stage, dragging a beaten Dolph Ziggler with them! Xavier Woods asks John Cena if what they did is “serious enough” for Cena before dropping Dolph on the stage. The New Day then reveals that the biggest member of The New Day would take up John Cena on his challenge as Big E would step up and challenge John Cena for the United States Championship! During the match, John Cena would go for the Attitude Adjustment on Big E, but Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods would get involved, helping Big E wiggle free of Cena’s grasp. This leads to the referee ejecting Kofi & Xavier from ringside, leaving Big E to go it alone against Cena with the title on the line! With the referee’s attention on ejecting his tag partners, Big E would try to use Xavier’s trombone as a weapon, but Cena would duck the shot and the referee would take the trombone away as Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment, pinning Big E to pick up the win and retain the United States Championship. After the match, Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston would enter the ring, attacking John Cena before Dolph Ziggler makes the save. After being assaulted by The New Day, “The Show Off” would help Cena combat the numbers game, but when Dolph goes for a super kick on Kofi Kingston, Kofi moves out of the way and Ziggler inadvertently drops John Cena with the kick! The New Day then sets their sights on beating down Dolph Ziggler, but that’s when The Dudley Boyz would rush out to make the save with their sights set on their WWE Hell in a Cell opponents! Bubba Ray & D-Von would then set up for the 3-D on Xavier Woods, but the numbers game would again be the deciding factor as The New Day would overwhelm The Dudley Boyz, beating down the legendary team before Kofi Kingston connects with Trouble in Paradise to Bubba Ray before The New Day picks Bubba Ray up again for a second Trouble in Paradise! Big E then picks up D-Von as Xavier comes off of the top rope for the Midnight Hour to D-Von. The New Day then stands tall over four broken men, having laid waste to The Dudley Boyz, Dolph Ziggler, and United States Champion John Cena! What did you think of this week’s RAW?
