WWE Hell in a Cell 2015 ResultsBy Cassidy| October 25, 2015 WWE PPVs Previous Page Detailed Results The seventh installment of WWE Hell in a Cell kicks off with gold on the line as John Cena would put the prestigious United States Championship on the line in the U.S. Open Challenge! “The Champ” would waste no time in getting things started, saying that he is the “man to beat” and the U.S. Open Challenge starts right now, so if they want some, come get some. With that, we see the re-emergence of a man that has not been seen in nearly a year as Zeb Colter rolls out to the stage on a Rascal scooter! Zeb says that some people like John Cena and some people don’t, saying that Cena is a “divider” before saying that he thinks it is time for people from all different backgrounds and all different countries to “come together”. Colter then says that he also thinks that it’s time for John Cena to lose the United States Championship to a man who will do more with it than Cena ever has! Zeb then introduces John Cena’s challenger and the crowd would erupt with the introduction of former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio! Appearing in a WWE ring for the first time in over a year, Del Rio would walk to the ring with a purpose as Zeb Colter would look on from ringside as the two familiar foes clash over the United States Championship. Shockingly, after John Cena has survived challengers such as Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Rusev, Neville, Cesaro, & Kane in the U.S. Open Challenge, it was Alberto Del Rio who was the right man on the right night as Del Rio would fight out of the Attitude Adjustment, hitting the Back Stabber on Cena and following it up with a straight kick to the face, scoring the three-count to become the brand new United States Champion! As a defeated John Cena lies in the ring, Alberto Del Rio and Zeb Colter celebrate Del Rio’s return to prominence in WWE as the new United States Champion! Then it was time for the first of two Hell in a Cell matches of the evening as the cold, demonic Hell in a Cell structure would lower around the ring as Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt would step into the Cell for the first time in their careers to finish the war between them once and for all in the most sinister of structures in WWE. It would not take long for the Hell in a Cell structure to play a factor in the match as Roman Reigns would bring Bray Wyatt to the outside, sending Bray face-first into the steel mesh. Bray then retrieves a kendo stick from under the ring, using it to gain the advantage in the match, wearing Reigns out with several stick shots, working over the mid-section of Reigns. On the outside of the ring, Bray would make Roman taste the steel before Wyatt pulls a steel chair out from under the ring, sitting on the chair and delivering a couple additional stick shots and screaming “fight me”. Bray then jams the open steel chair into the side of the Cell, doing the same with the kendo stick and Reigns would get a few shots in on Bray before Bray counters, sending Reigns face-first onto the kendo stick, snapping the stick in half! Shortly after this, Bray would pick Roman up, but Reigns would battle back, sending Wyatt face-first into the steel chair! Back in control of the match, Roman Reigns would grab two kendo sticks, coupling the sticks together to wear Bray Wyatt out with the double sticks before Roman pulls a table out from under the ring! With a smile on his face, Reigns would slide a table into the ring before getting a second table, setting up the second table at ringside. Meanwhile, in the ring, Bray would push the first table out of the ring and Reigns would set the table up on the outside. Roman then gets Wyatt on the ring apron, but Bray would fight back, lifting Reigns up with one arm, slamming Reigns full force through the table to the floor! Bray then rolls Roman back into the ring, attempting the first pin of the match, but Reigns would kick out. Wyatt then brings Reigns back to the outside, sizing Reigns up before charging at Roman, splashing Reigns into the Cell wall. Bray then pulls a table out from under the ring, sliding it into the ring, keeping Reigns down in the corner before setting the table up. Wyatt then positions Reigns on the top rope with the intention of delivering a superplex through the table, but Roman would block the attempt, lifting Bray up and delivering a vicious powerbomb to Wyatt through the table! Roman then goes for an immediate pin, but Bray manages to kick out. Both Reigns and Wyatt then struggle to get to their feet before both combatants battle for control of the match with Roman scoring with the Superman Punch, but Bray kicks out again. Both men then find themselves on the ring apron again and Roman takes this opportunity to put his own well-being on the line to try and take out Bray as Roman blasts Wyatt with a Spear that sends both men careening off of the ring apron through a table! Reigns then manages to pick Wyatt up and roll him into the ring, attempting another pinfall, but Bray kicks out again! Reigns then sizes Wyatt up for another Spear, but he is caught with a big boot from Bray, who follows it up with Sister Abigail, but, this time, it’s Roman who kicks out of the attempted pinfall! With a smile on his face, Bray Wyatt then grabs the two kendo sticks, delivering a shot to Roman Reigns before shoving both kendo sticks into the corner with each stick pointing out of the corner like spikes. Bray then picks Roman up, but Reigns grabs one of the sticks, using it to wear Wyatt down before sending Bray face-first into the kendo stick positioned in the corner, following it up with another Spear, finally keeping Bray down for the three-count as Roman Reigns survives his first trip to hell, walking out as the victor in a torturous match. The WWE Tag Team Titles would then be on the line at WWE Hell in a Cell as, with Xavier Woods still convalescing after going through a table on RAW, The New Day’s Big E & Kofi Kingston would go it alone to defend the WWE Tag Team Titles against The Dudley Boyz. During the match, Kofi Kingston would bring Xavier Woods’ trombone into the ring and, behind the referee’s back, Kofi would take a page out of the late, great Eddie Guerrero’s playbook as Kingston throws the trombone to Bubba Ray, who instinctively catches it as Kofi lies down in the ring, acting as though Bubba Ray hit him with it! The referee would then turn around to see Bubba Ray holding the trombone and Bubba Ray would plead with the referee with the referee ultimately deciding not to disqualify The Dudley Boyz, citing that he didn’t see Bubba Ray use the trombone as a weapon. Shortly after this, The Dudley Boyz would go for the 3-D on Kofi Kingston, but with the referee out of position, Big E would blast Bubba Ray in the back with the trombone. D-Von then takes Big E to the outside as, in the ring, Kofi hits Trouble in Paradise, pinning Bubba Ray as The New Day once again manages to escape with the WWE Tag Team Titles. In a rematch from Night of Champions, the Divas Championship would be on the line at WWE Hell in a Cell as Charlotte would defend the Divas Title for the first time against the longest reigning Divas Champion in history, Nikki Bella, with the last minute stipulation added that no one would be allowed at ringside! Throughout the match, Nikki Bella would target the back of Charlotte, ensuring that Nikki dominated the majority of the match and, at one point, Nikki would even take Charlotte to the outside, slamming the champion back-first onto the ring apron. Nikki then rolls Charlotte back into the ring, looking for the Rack Attack, but the champion would counter, locking in the Figure-Eight, making Nikki tap out to pick up the win and successfully retain the Divas Title. After the match, Becky Lynch and Paige would rush out to congratulate Charlotte on her first title defense. The WWE World Heavyweight Championship would then be defended at WWE Hell in a Cell as Seth Rollins would put WWE’s most prestigious championship on the line against the remorseless nightmare Demon Kane with the stipulation that, if Demon Kane does not defeat Seth Rollins, then Corporate Kane will lose his job as the Director of Operations. Early on in the match, Seth Rollins would expose a piece of the steel turnbuckle in the corner, slamming Kane’s throat over the steel and allowing Rollins to take control of the match, targeting the neck of Kane. Later on in the match, Seth Rollins would manage to escape the Tombstone Piledriver by leaving the ring, but this would prove to work against the champion as Kane slams Rollins on the announce table before exposing the announce table. Kane then brings Rollins on top of the announce table, looking for a chokeslam, but Rollins would counter, delivering a powerbomb to Kane on top of the Spanish announce table! Rollins then rolls back into the ring in the hopes of getting a count-out victory, but Kane just barely beats the count. The champion then uses his high flying offense to wear Kane down before delivering a pair of kicks to the head of Kane before Rollins climbs to the top rope, diving onto Kane with the Frog Splash, but Kane kicks out. Kane then grabs Rollins by the throat, but the champion catches Kane with a kick to the chest, following it up with the Pedigree, pinning Demon Kane to successfully retain the WWE World Heavyweight Title and ensure that Corporate Kane is no longer the Director of Operations. The Intercontinental Title was also up for grabs at WWE Hell in a Cell as, in a rematch from Night of Champions, “The Big Guy” Ryback would challenge Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Championship. In the end, it was a well-placed rake to the eye that would again pay dividends for Kevin Owens, who follows up the rake to the eye with the Pop-Up Powerbomb, pinning Ryback to successfully retain the Intercontinental Title. Then it was time for the final battle in an epic war that could be traced back thirteen years as the main event of WWE Hell in a Cell would see two time-tested warriors square off one last time as “The Phenom” The Undertaker would step inside Hell in a Cell for the thirteenth time in his legendary career to face the remorseless, destructive, “The Beast” Brock Lesnar, with his advocate Paul Heyman in his corner. The intensity of the match would start immediately with both men trading vicious shots before the match would spill to the outside where The Undertaker would send Brock Lesnar into the Cell before sending “The Beast” face-first into the steel ring post, which would bust Lesnar wide open as blood pours down the face of Lesnar mere moments into the match. Shortly after this, Brock Lesnar would rebound against The Undertaker, getting his hands on a steel chair, using the chair to wear down The Undertaker before “The Beast” collapses in the corner. WWE’s ringside doctor then quickly enters the ring to tend to Lesnar before Lesnar insists on continuing as Brock grabs the steel chair again, delivering several heinous shots to “The Phenom” before taking off his glove to deal bare-knuckled shots to the head of The Undertaker, busting The Undertaker open as well! With blood running down his face, The Undertaker grabs the steel chair, ramming it into the throat of Brock Lesnar! The resilient Lesnar is able to battle back, delivering three suplexes to The Undertaker, following it up with the F-5. The Undertaker would then kick out of the attempted pinfall before the ringside doctor would come back into the ring, first checking on The Undertaker, but when the doctor tries to check on Lesnar, “The Beast” shoves the doctor down, refusing medical attention before grabbing The Undertaker for another F-5, but The Undertaker kicks out again! Stunned, but still determined, Brock Lesnar would bring the steel steps into the ring, ramming the steps into the face of The Undertaker only for “The Phenom” to kick out again! Shocked, Brock Lesnar would try to use the steel steps to crush the leg of The Undertaker, but The Undertaker would move out of the way and, when Lesnar tries it again, The Undertaker kicks the steps into the face of Lesnar as the steel lands on Brock’s head! Brock then crawls his way to The Undertaker, but “The Phenom” was waiting as The Undertaker locks in Hell’s Gate. However, Lesnar breaks free of The Undertaker’s grip, smashing “The Deadman” with lefts and rights. Then, in a bizarre scene, Lesnar would find a tear in the ring mat, pulling on the mat until he rips a big hole in it before ripping out the protective padding from the ring, exposing the wood base of the ring! However, The Undertaker sits up, grabbing Brock Lesnar by the throat and drilling “The Beast” with a chokeslam on the exposed part of the ring! As if that was not enough, The Undertaker waits for a woozy Brock Lesnar to stand before picking Lesnar up, spiking Brock head-first onto the exposed portion of the ring, but in an unbelievable show of resilience, “The Beast” kicks out! In a state of shock, The Undertaker slowly climbs to his feet, ready to deliver a second Tombstone Piledriver to Brock Lesnar, but Brock would utilize a low blow to weaken “The Deadman” in a bit of payback for their bout at SummerSlam! Lesnar then hoists The Undertaker up, dropping The Undertaker face-first on the exposed wood base of the ring with a vicious F-5, finally securing the three-count over The Undertaker as Brock Lesnar survives hell against The Undertaker! The Hell in a Cell structure then rises as Brock Lesnar pulls himself to his feet, barely able to stand as he makes his way to the back with Paul Heyman by his side. Meanwhile, in the ring, The Undertaker repeatedly tries to sit up, finally succeeding and, as the fans chant “Thank You ‘Taker”, The Undertaker uses the ropes to pull himself to his feet. The Undertaker then glances at the Hell in a Cell structure, soaking in the love and respect from the fans, getting down on one knee in vintage Undertaker fashion. However, the iconic moment would be ruined with the arrival of The Wyatt Family as Bray Wyatt leads Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, & Braun Strowman to ringside as a beaten and bloody Undertaker readies himself for a fight. The four Wyatt Family members then surround the ring on each side and, at the order of their leader, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, & Braun Strowman enter the ring and, while The Undertaker tries his best to fight back, The Wyatt Family overwhelms “The Phenom”, putting the boots to The Undertaker. Harper, Rowan, & Strowman then hold The Undertaker up as Bray Wyatt takes his shots, mocking The Undertaker before instructing his followers to pull The Undertaker out of the ring as The Wyatt Family carries the defenseless Undertaker away.
