WWE SmackDown Results: September 24, 2015By Cassidy| September 25, 2015 WWE SmackDown Previous Page Detailed Results For the first time since his unusual return at Night of Champions and his subsequent return as the Director of Operations on RAW, Kane would appear on SmackDown as the Corporate version of “The Big Red Machine” kicks off the show. Corporate Kane says that, after a much-needed vacation, he is happy to be back as the Director of Operations, saying that he was worried about catching up with everything that he’s missed. Kane then says that he decided that this was the perfect time to return because WWE is “on fire” and, with his “administrative experience”, there was no one better to handle the “heat”. Corporate Kane then announces that SmackDown will see Dolph Ziggler team with Ryback to face Rusev and the new Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens before also announcing that Roman Reigns will go one-on-one with The Wyatt Family’s Luke Harper before adding that there will be no outside interference because Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt & Braun Strowman will also be banned from ringside. Kane’s announcements are then interrupted by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, who says that Kane is not fooling anyone, calling Kane’s personality disorder a “joke”, saying that everyone knows that, underneath that suit, Corporate Kane is really Demon Kane. Corporate Kane says that Rollins seems “angry”, inviting the champion to come to the ring for some “conflict resolution” and saying that he was as “shocked” as anyone when he was sitting at home watching Night of Champions and saw Sheamus nearly cash in the Money-in-the-Bank contract on Seth Rollins. Rollins then brings up what Kane did on RAW and, after Kane mistakenly thinks that Rollins is referring to the rematch he made between Rollins and John Cena, the champion says that Kane tried to drag him to hell on RAW. Corporate Kane laughs at the champion, asking Rollins who is standing in the ring right now, the “demon from the depths of hell who is determined to inflict immeasurable suffering” on Rollins or a “man in a suit” who helped Rollins become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The champion claims that he didn’t do anything to Kane before Kane reminds Rollins that he called him a “seven-foot piece of crap”, laughing off the insult. Rollins then says that Kane has “lost it”, saying that he is not fit to be the Director of Operations anymore and he is not “welcome” around Rollins or the WWE World Heavyweight Champion before telling Corporate Kane that he needs “serious help”. Kane says that he will take that “under advisement” before revealing that, in the main event, Seth Rollins will go one-on-one with Dean Ambrose in a non-title match! After a huge brawl between Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, & Randy Orton and The Wyatt Family on RAW, two of the men involved in that brawl would be in action on SmackDown as Roman Reigns would go one-on-one with Wyatt Family member Luke Harper with Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt & Braun Strowman banned from ringside! At the end of a hard-hitting match, it was Roman Reigns taking Luke Harper down with a Spear, pinning Harper for the win. With a title defense against The Dudley Boyz awaiting them on October 3 on the WWE Network special live from Madison Square Garden in New York City, the WWE Tag Team Champions were in action on SmackDown as The New Day would face Neville & The Lucha Dragons in 6-Man Tag action. In the end, it was Xavier Woods scoring with a running to the face of Sin Cara, pinning Sin Cara to pick up the win for The New Day. Following a gutsy match against Big Show on RAW, Cesaro was in action on SmackDown as “The Swiss Superman” would go one-on-one with Bo Dallas. In the end, it was Cesaro utilizing a unique roll-up to secure the three-count, picking up the win. After defeating Nikki Bella at Night of Champions to end the 301-day reign of Nikki and become the new Divas Champion, Charlotte would appear on SmackDown with Becky Lynch by her side as the new champion would discuss Paige’s blowup on RAW as well as winning the Divas Title. Charlotte says that Nikki Bella was Divas Champion for 301 days for a reason before thanking the fans for believing in the Divas Revolution, saying that the “future has never been brighter”. However, Charlotte is then interrupted by her former friend and former teammate Paige as Paige says that she should not have “dumped” on Charlotte on RAW. Paige then says that she called Becky Lynch the “least relevant” Diva in the division on RAW, saying that doesn’t mean that Becky cannot become the Divas Champion. Paige then claims that she is “happy” that Charlotte is Divas Champion, but she’s worried that Charlotte is not “strong enough” to be the champion. Paige then admits to being “conflicted” since she did start the Divas Revolution, saying that she deserves a little bit of “recognition”. Becky then tries to cut Paige off, but Paige tells Becky to “shut up” before the confrontation is interrupted by one of the Divas who was targeted in Paige’s tirade on RAW as Natalya makes her way to the ring. Natalya hugs both Charlotte and Becky Lynch before Paige says that it has nothing to do with her, calling Natalya a “crazy cat lady”. Natalya says that she could not be more proud of this next generation of Divas, saying that she cannot remember the last time she felt “excited” to come to work like she has since the start of the Divas Revolution. Natalya continues, saying that she hasn’t been that excited since Paige debuted and won the Divas Title, saying that she was one of the first people to congratulate Paige because she “earned” it and “deserved” it. Natalya then says that Paige is one of her best friends and she cannot believe that they are fighting over something so “stupid”, saying that Paige is “better than that”. Paige responds by saying that she is “better” than Natalya, saying that Natalya let the Divas Revolution pass her by and now she is “clinging” to the younger Divas in an effort to become “relevant” again, calling Natalya “pathetic”. This leads to Natalya getting in Paige’s face before Paige slaps the veteran Diva across the face! Paige then leaves the ring without a shred of regret, leaving a hurt and angry trio of Divas in the ring. After losing the Intercontinental Championship amidst controversy at Night of Champions, “The Big Guy” Ryback would team with “The Show Off” Dolph Ziggler to face new Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens and “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev, with Summer Rae in his corner. During the match, Kevin Owens would distract Ryback long enough for Rusev to take advantage with a kick to the face. However, the Intercontinental Champion would then walk out on his tag team partner, watching from the stage as Dolph Ziggler scores with a super kick to Rusev, followed up with Shell Shocked by Ryback, who pins Rusev for the win. Then it was time for the main event as an old rivalry would be renewed between two former friends as WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins would go one-on-one with “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose in a non-title match. During the match, Dean Ambrose would send Seth Rollins into the corner, inadvertently trapping the referee in the process and the champion would take advantage of this, raking the eyes of “The Lunatic Fringe” before scoring with the turnbuckle powerbomb in the corner. However, that is when flames would erupt from the stage, signifying the arrival of Kane as Rollins would frantically look around the ring and up the stage, anticipating Kane’s arrival, but it would all turn out to be a ruse as Kane would not show up but the distraction would allow Dean Ambrose to roll Rollins up, scoring the three-count over the WWE World Heavyweight Champion as Corporate Kane watches from the back, laughing at Rollins’ loss. Enraged, Seth Rollins would grab his title belt and a microphone, saying that Kane is trying to play “mind games” with him, asking if Kane knows who he is. Rollins then says that every Superstar that has stepped into the ring with him has “paid the price”, asking if Kane saw what he did to Sting at Night of Champions. The champion then says that, if Kane continues to mess with him, then Kane will “suffer the same fate” as Sting before Rollins holds up his WWE World Heavyweight Title belt, letting Kane know that he is still the champion.
