WWE RAW Results: September 28, 2015By Cassidy| September 29, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results After winning back the United States Championship from Seth Rollins at Night of Champions and then successfully retaining the championship in a rematch on last week’s RAW, the show kicks off with United States Champion John Cena as “The Champ” would bring back the U.S. Open Challenge! Cena starts by proclaiming “have no fear, the champ is here” before saying that the United States Championship is a “symbol of excellence and opportunity” and it will be defended right now, saying that he is the “man to beat” before the open challenge gets underway with Cena proclaiming “you want some, come get some”. With the sound of a trombone followed by the booming voice of Big E, WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day come out. Big E says that The New Day is there to make WWE “great” again before saying that, this Saturday on the WWE Network special live from Madison Square Garden, they will finally be rid of The Dudley Boyz. Big E continues, saying that they are out there to accept John Cena’s U.S. Open Challenge before Kofi Kingston says that they might as well refer to The New Day as “Team Scrooge McDuck” because they are going to be “swimming in gold”! The New Day then sings “new U.S. Champs” to the tune of John Cena’s theme song. While initially amused, Cena’s patience wears out as the United States Champion tells The New Day to decide amongst themselves who will be challenging him tonight, saying that there is a time for entertaining and a time for fighting and if they don’t take him seriously, he’s going to beat all three of them! The WWE Tag Team Champions then huddle up as The New Day decides amongst themselves that the resident trombone player Xavier Woods would be the one to answer the U.S. Open Challenge and challenge John Cena for the United States Championship! After Xavier Woods is immediately knocked down by John Cena, Big E & Kofi Kingston get on the ring apron with Cena knocking Big E off of the ring apron followed by Kofi Kingston tripping up Cena. This leads to the referee ejecting Big E & Kofi Kingston from ringside, leaving Xavier to face Cena on his own! Xavier would manage to hold his own against John Cena, but once Cena locked in the STF on Xavier, it looked like Cena was about to make Woods tap out, but Big E & Kofi Kingston rush the ring, attacking Cena and ending the match by disqualification. With The New Day focused on beating down the United States Champion, John Cena would get saved by the #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles as The Dudley Boyz rush to the ring as a brawl breaks out between the two sides! In an impromptu match made following a brawl moments earlier, United States Champion John Cena would team with The Dudley Boyz to face WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day in a 6-Man Tag match. During the match, The Dudley Boyz were set to deliver the 3-D to Kofi Kingston, but Xavier Woods pulls on Bubba Ray’s leg from the outside, keeping Bubba Ray back while Kofi hits D-Von with Trouble in Paradise, picking up the win for The New Day. Backstage, The Authority confronts Director of Operations Corporate Kane with an unknown woman as Stephanie McMahon introduces Kane to Ashley from Human Resources. Triple H tries to object to HR’s involvement, but Stephanie continues, saying that there was an “anonymous complaint” filed against Kane saying that Kane has created an “unsafe work environment”, saying that Ashley is there to help them “manage the situation”. This brings in WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, who claims to be outraged by the anonymous complaint, saying that whoever complained should handle their problems “like a man”. Stephanie then says that she hopes that Kane will take this seriously because it could “determine the future” of Corporate Kane’s job as Director of Operations. Kane assures Stephanie that he will take it seriously before Rollins chimes in that it sounds like a lot of “pressure”. Kane then gets in Rollins face, saying that he can handle it because he’s “the man” before taking a sip from his mug and continuing that he has “extensive training in conflict management”, switching right back into his chipper corporate persona, leading Ashley out of the room as Kane prattles on about The Bella Twins and Total Divas. Before he collides with Brock Lesnar live on the WWE Network this Saturday night, Big Show was in action on RAW as “The World’s Largest Athlete” would go one-on-one with “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry. In the end, it was Big Show blasting Mark Henry with the Knockout Punch, pinning “The World’s Strongest Man” for the win. After Paige unleashed a tangent about the Divas division, namely Divas Champion Charlotte, on last week’s RAW, The Miz would host Miz TV and his guests would be Divas Champion Charlotte and Becky Lynch as they would address what Paige had to say last week. After showing what Paige had to say last week, The Miz introduces his guests as the remnants of PCB, Divas Champion Charlotte and Becky Lynch, make their way to the ring. The Miz makes no effort to endear himself to the two Divas, saying that the last time they were on Miz TV, they got beat down by Team Bella. Becky Lynch is quick to fire back, reminding Miz that the last time they were on Miz TV, The Miz got slapped for being a “sexist, chauvinistic jackass”! Charlotte then says that Paige is either going to come down there and talk to her face-to-face or Paige is going to come down there and they are going to “throw down”. The Miz takes offense to this, saying that Miz TV is his show, but Becky takes The Miz’s microphone and tosses the microphone out of the ring. Team Bella then interrupts as Nikki Bella says that they are not out there to fight, saying that while PCB is fighting like “high school girls”, Team Bella is “more united and stronger than ever”. Nikki continues, saying that she is starting to feel bad for Charlotte because she will be reduced to a “hot mess” while she is once again the Divas Champion. Charlotte responds by daring Nikki Bella to enter the ring so she can make Nikki tap out again with Nikki saying that, as long as Charlotte is champion, it will continue to be all about Nikki Bella. Nikki then says that there was “one beautiful, amazingly talented Diva” that started the Divas Revolution and that is her. Charlotte says that this isn’t about Nikki and it’s not about who started the Diva Revolution, it’s about the fans and it’s about believing in the Divas and believing in themselves. Alicia Fox then chimes in, reminding Charlotte & Becky Lynch that they have the numbers advantage. Before a fight breaks out, Paige interrupts, making her way to the ring, saying that she put NXT “on the map” when she became the first ever NXT Women’s Champion and neither Charlotte or Becky Lynch would even be on RAW right now if it wasn’t for her. Nikki Bella then tries to stir the pot, asking if Charlotte and Becky are just going to let Paige say what she wants without doing anything about, saying that “with friends like these, who needs enemies?” Paige then quickly fires back, saying that with boyfriends like Nikki & Brie Bella’s, “who needs ambition?” This sparks a brawl between the six Divas with Paige, Charlotte, & Becky Lynch getting the better of Team Bella with PCB actually standing united against Team Bella! In an impromptu match, Paige would reunite with Becky Lynch and Divas Champion Charlotte to face Team Bella in a 6-Diva Tag match on RAW. During the match, things would break down between the two teams and Paige would come in to help clear the ring, but as Paige exits the ring, Charlotte would go for the Figure-Eight on Nikki Bella, inadvertently knocking Paige out of the ring. Paige would respond to this by walking out on her tag team partners, but Paige is confronted on the ramp by Natalya before Natalya makes her way to the ring. However, when Natalya gets on the ring apron, Paige comes back to ringside, pulling Natalya off of the ring apron before Paige walks off again and, as Brie Bella knocks Becky Lynch off of the ring apron, Nikki Bella hits the Rack Attack on a distracted Charlotte, pinning the Divas Champion for the win. Backstage, Seth Rollins is telling HR’s Ashley that Kane is out to get him, but changing his tone once Corporate Kane shows up as the Director of Operations hands Seth Rollins a gift. Rightfully worried about what could be in the box, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion would open the box to find the “severed head” of the statue that was crushed by Sting! Kane says that “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”, revealing that he went to Baltimore and spent the entire night digging up the head! Kane then adds that it’s “amazing what one man can do with a shovel and a flashlight” before Ashley calls the unusual gesture “considerate”. The freaked out Rollins says that he can’t keep the head, handing it back to Kane before quickly leaving the room. Kane then jokes with Ashley that “two heads are better than one” before handing the head to Ashley, who looks creeped out by holding Rollins’ head. In their first official match as a tag team, The Wyatt Family’s Luke Harper & Braun Strowman would look to make Bray Wyatt proud as they would face The Prime Time Players on RAW. During the match, Braun Strowman would grab Darren Young by the throat, choking Darren on the ring apron and, when Titus O’Neil tries to rescue Young, Strowman swats Titus away. Luke Harper then hits the Discus Clothesline before Harper tags in Strowman as Strowman lifts Titus O’Neil up in his Triangle Choke, choking Titus out as Harper & Strowman pick up the win. In the continuation of a longstanding rivalry, “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Neville would go one-on-one with “The Prince of Dark Matter” Stardust. During the match, Neville was about to hit the Red Arrow on Stardust when King Barrett would make his return to RAW. Appearing for the first time since the night after SummerSlam, Barrett would enter the ring, going face-to-face with Neville and, with Stardust pushing the high-flyer towards Barrett, Barrett would level Neville with the Royal Bull Hammer, ending the match by disqualification! However, King Barrett would then set his sights on the man who assaulted him the night after SummerSlam, appearing to help Stardust to his feet only to lay Stardust out with the Royal Bull Hammer as well! Barrett then grabs a microphone, simply saying “all hail the return of the king” before leaving the ring, having made an impactful return. Then it was time for Ashley from Human Resources’ evaluation of Corporate Kane as both Kane and Ashley appear in the ring. Kane says that her report may determine his future as the Director of Operations, but before Ashley can present her evaluation, she is interrupted by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Rollins says that Kane is not the man that Ashley thinks he is, showing Demon Kane’s path of heinous destruction. Rollins then calls Corporate Kane an “imposter in a cheap suit”, saying that Demon Kane is the “real Kane” because Kane has the “soul of a demon from the depths of hell”. The champion then pleads with Ashley, saying that she cannot allow Kane to keep his job as Director of Operations because the “carnage” that follows will be on her head. Rollins continues, saying that people like him do not go to “hell”, saying that he is going to “heaven”, claiming that The Pope told him that he is going to heaven! The champion says that being the WWE World Heavyweight Champion makes him feel like he is on “cloud nine” and he is looking down on all the “scum” of the Earth. Kane tries to explain Seth Rollins’ behavior, saying that Rollins is a very “passionate” man and, sometimes, his “enthusiasm” gets the better of him. Kane then shows Seth Rollins’ physical and verbal abuse of Kane over the last several months where Rollins called Kane everything from a “loser” to an “old dog” that needs to be put out of his misery to a “seven-foot piece of crap” to having a career that is “one big disappointment”. Corporate Kane then asks Ashley to read her evaluation and, much to the surprise and chagrin of Seth Rollins, Ashley reports that Kane is “sound of mind” and is “more than capable of fulfilling his duties as the Director of Operations”. Ashley continues, saying that Kane is “far from being a menace” and is the “perfect WWE employee” before stating that, if anyone needs to be evaluated, it is Seth Rollins! Ashley explains that Rollins is “rude, cruel, petty, narcissistic, and paranoid” and he is the “most unprofessional person” during her time in WWE! Ashley then exits the ring as an outraged Seth Rollins storms down to the ring, getting in the face of Corporate Kane, saying that it’s all Kane’s fault, repeatedly using his title belt to poke Kane in the chest, screaming that Kane is out of his mind. Rollins then accidentally drops his title belt and Kane starts to walk towards the champion before smiling and starting to pick up Rollins’ title belt. However, this is when Rollins would strike, grabbing Corporate Kane and delivering the Pedigree to the Director of Operations! Rollins then screams at Kane that he is the champion, holding up his title belt before grabbing a steel chair from the outside and, clearly having lost it, Rollins smashes Kane’s knee with the steel chair before delivering a vicious chair shot to Kane’s back, followed by four more chair shots as Kane writhes in pain. The champion then wraps the steel chair around the ankle of Corporate Kane, getting a running start and stomping the chair, crushing the ankle of Kane! WWE’s ringside doctor then rushes into the ring to tend to Kane as the doctor calls for EMT’s, who bring a stretcher to ringside. As the doctor and EMT’s work to get Kane on a backboard, Seth Rollins shows no remorse for his actions, mocking Kane about his “boo-boo”, saying that Kane is “no demon” and he looks “very human” to him right now, saying that Kane cannot even stand up. Kane is then loaded onto a stretcher outside the ring and wheeled to the back as Seth Rollins proclaims that everyone knows that Kane is a “fraud”, shouting that Kane’s days of being “jealous of the man” are over! Backstage, the doctor and EMT’s load Corporate Kane into a waiting ambulance as the champion laughs in the ring. Rollins continues to brag about his actions, saying that it’s proof that anyone who steps up to him will get exactly what they “deserve”. However, the ambulance is shown stopped backstage as the back of the ambulance lights up red before the doors are opened and, with smoke billowing out, the Demon Kane emerges from the ambulance! Limping on his injured ankle, Demon Kane would lift his foot up and stomp it down as a crack is heard as Kane apparently fixes his own ankle before making a beeline for the ring as Seth Rollins grabs a steel chair in anticipation of Demon Kane’s arrival. Kane then makes his way to the ring and the champion delivers a shot to the leg of Kane with the steel chair, but it would have no effect as Demon Kane would take it Seth Rollins before planting Rollins with a thunderous chokeslam! “The Devil’s Favorite Demon” would then pick Rollins up for the Tombstone Piledriver, but Rollins would wiggle free, quickly escaping the ring and heading to the back. However, in his scramble to escape, Rollins leaves his title belt behind and Kane picks up the title belt, glaring at the belt and making it clear that he wants the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Bray Wyatt then makes an appearance from his dark and smoky location, saying that Luke Harper & Braun Strowman made him proud in their match earlier, saying that Harper & Strowman could easily assist him in dismantling Roman Reigns. Bray then reveals that he is granting Roman’s request as, when they go one-on-one in the main event, he “alone will enter the battlefield”, saying that he and he alone will put Roman Reigns away for good. Wyatt continues, saying that it has “always been” about the two of them before saying that only a “fool” would look into the “dragon’s eyes” and believe that he would not be “burned”. “The Viper” was in action on RAW as Randy Orton would go one-on-one with Bo Dallas. Randy Orton would dominate the match, dropping Bo Dallas on the ringside barricade in front of the Buffalo Bills before scoring with the RKO in the ring, pinning Bo Dallas for the win. Tired of having Kevin Owens walk out on their matches as a team, Rusev would be looking for payback on RAW as “The Bulgarian Brute”, with Summer Rae in his corner, would go one-on-one with Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens in a non-title match with former champion Ryback a guest on commentary. Early on in the match, the action would spill to the outside and Kevin Owens would send Rusev into Ryback at ringside. This would lead to “The Big Guy” attacking Rusev, ending the match by disqualification before Kevin Owens joins the fray. Owens and Rusev then work together, stomping away at Ryback in the ring before Dolph Ziggler makes the save, taking Rusev out in the entrance, but when “The Show Off” enters the ring, Kevin Owens leaves the ring, taking his title belt and walking away from the fight. With his client Brock Lesnar set to go one-on-one with Big Show this Saturday night on the WWE Network special live from Madison Square Garden, Paul Heyman would appear on RAW. Heyman says that, this Saturday night, “hell will descend” upon Madison Square Garden when Brock Lesnar digs his claws into Big Show, saying that he knows Big Show “better than anyone else”. Heyman continues, saying that Big Show is “bored” because no one in the locker room can “push Big Show to his limits” and, when Big Show is “motivated”, then you have a “true giant”. Heyman then says that Brock Lesnar has asked him to come to RAW to deliver the message that, this Saturday night, Brock Lesnar will take Big Show to “Suplex City”. Big Show then interrupts the advocate, making his way to the ring, saying that Heyman should be “worried” because he is “motivated” and he is the one guy in WWE who pushed Brock Lesnar to his limits each and every time they face each other. The giant then claims that Brock Lesnar, as well as Paul Heyman, is “afraid” of him, asking why Heyman didn’t finish promoting Brock Lesnar’s Go To Hell Tour. Big Show continues, saying that he is going to make history this Saturday night, saying that it’s going to be “eat, sleep, beat Brock Lesnar at Madison Square Garden, repeat”. Heyman then storms out of the ring, stopping on his way to the back as Big Show tells the advocate to think about his “future” because it will be a future without Brock Lesnar! Then it was time for the main event as, with Bray Wyatt vowing that neither Luke Harper or Braun Strowman will be by his side, it would look like the rivalry between Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt would come to an end the same way it began as “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns would go one-on-one with “The Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt, but despite what he said earlier in the night, Wyatt would be accompanied to the ring by Luke Harper & Braun Strowman. Roman Reigns responds by grabbing a microphone, referring to Harper & Strowman as Bray’s “training wheels”, asking if they respect Bray as their leader, saying that their presence makes Wyatt look like a “little bitch”! Whether this strikes a chord with Bray Wyatt or whether it was his intention all along, Bray instructs his followers to head to the back as the one-on-one match between Reigns and Wyatt gets underway. During a hard-hitting match, Roman Reigns would score with the Superman Punch to Bray Wyatt, but Bray would fall to the outside of the ring and, when Roman charges at Bray, Bray sidesteps and send Roman shoulder-first into the steel steps. Wyatt then picks up the top half of the steel steps with malicious intent, hurling them at Reigns, but Roman moves out of the way before clotheslining “The Eater of Worlds” over the ringside barricade. As the match ends in a double count-out, Roman Reigns exposes the announce table before running and diving over the barricade, taking Bray down before Roman and Bray brawl in the crowd. Reigns gets the better of the fight, catching Bray with an uppercut, but Wyatt grabs a nearby technician and tosses the man at Reigns! Bray then sizes Roman up before charging at Reigns, sending both men crashing through the ringside barricade! Wyatt is the first man to pull himself back to his feet as Bray stands on top of the announce table, smiling about surviving the brawl, but this is when Roman gets to his feet, launching himself at Bray Wyatt, driving Bray through the announce table with a huge Spear! Both Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt then lie motionless among the scattered remains of the announce table, ending an intense and destructive war with a battle for the ages.
