WWE RAW Results: September 21, 2015By Cassidy| September 22, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results After defeating the team of Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and their mystery partner Chris Jericho in a 6-Man Tag match at Night of Champions, RAW kicks off with The Wyatt Family as Bray Wyatt leads Luke Harper & Braun Strowman to the ring. Bray says that he tried to “warn” Roman Reigns with his words and they tried to warn Roman with their actions, but it seems like they are not able to “hit hard enough”. Wyatt then says that Roman was a “fool” to think that he would be able to outrun his “destiny”, saying that he grabbed the “golden idol by his throat” and brought him “to his knees”. Bray continues, saying that he told them that they “all fall down” and he is not a “liar” before Wyatt is interrupted by the arrival of Roman Reigns, who makes his way to the ring to confront The Wyatt Family by himself. Roman says that it’s always been about Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt, saying it “started here” so they should “finish it here”, telling Bray to send Luke Harper & Braun Strowman “back to the swamp” so they can see who makes it out of Laredo tonight! Roman then says that Bray is “scared” to go one-on-one with him, saying that they don’t even need to have a match, suggesting that they have a “fight”. Bray then instructs Luke Harper & Braun Strowman to exit the ring and the two big men comply with Luke Harper catching an uppercut from Roman Reigns for trying to distract Roman. The unsanctioned fight then gets underway with Roman Reigns getting the better of Bray Wyatt, repeatedly pummeling Bray with clotheslines in the corner before Bray counters with a boot to the face. Wyatt then charges at Reigns, but Roman counters with the Superman Punch. That is when Luke Harper & Braun Strowman would break things up as Harper pulls Reigns off of Wyatt and, while Roman was able to take it to Harper, sending Harper out of the ring, Roman would run into the brick wall known as Braun Strowman. Strowman would slam Roman down before Dean Ambrose comes out, taking out Harper before diving to the outside into Braun Strowman, but Strowman would not go down and Strowman would easily knock Ambrose down. Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper would then rejoin the fight as an all-out brawl breaks out on the outside with The Wyatt Family getting the better of the situation as Strowman hurls Ambrose into the steel steps before Bray and Harper focus on Roman Reigns in the ring as Harper tries to choke out Roman. However, that is when a vengeful Randy Orton would make the save as “The Viper” would rush to the ring, taking it to both Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper before taking the fight to the outside where Orton drops Harper back-first onto the announce table. Once again, it was Braun Strowman who makes the difference as Strowman brings Orton back into the ring, but Ambrose would come off of the top rope onto Strowman and Orton would follow it up with a dropkick to the face of Strowman and, finally, a Superman Punch from Roman Reigns would send Strowman over-the-top rope to the floor, still landing on his feet. Seeing a dent in the armor of his “black sheep” would put a look of worry on the face of Bray Wyatt as Orton, Ambrose, & Reigns stand tall in the ring. Backstage, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins enters the office of The Authority, expecting to discuss a plan to take care of Kane. However, the champion is shocked to not only find Kane standing there, but Corporate Kane as Kane is back in his suit and tie without his mask. Rollins asks what Kane is doing there and, with a smile on his face, Kane says that he works there and, when Rollins brings up Kane attacking him at Night of Champions, Kane claims to have no idea what Rollins is talking about. Kane then says that he has been off recuperating from being assaulted by Brock Lesnar a couple of months ago and now his leg is all healed up and he’s back as the Director of Operations! Just as confused as everyone else, Seth Rollins asks where Triple H & Stephanie McMahon are and Kane informs Rollins that they are yet to arrive at the arena. The Director of Operations would then inform Seth Rollins that he will get his rematch for the United States Championship against John Cena tonight! The champion then leaves the room, still very confused about the reappearance of Corporate Kane. In a rematch from the Night of Champions Kickoff show, the trio referring to themselves as The Astro Alliance, Stardust & The Ascension, would face Neville & The Lucha Dragons in a 6-Man Tag match in the opening match of the night. In the end, it was Kalisto hitting Viktor with the Salida del Sol, pinning Viktor for the win. Backstage, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is relieved to discover that The Authority has arrived in the arena as the champion immediately questions Triple H & Stephanie McMahon about reinstating Kane as the Director of Operations. However, The Authority appears to be just as surprised as Seth Rollins was as the champion fills Triple H & Stephanie in on Corporate Kane’s appearance in their office. Triple H tells Seth Rollins that he should focus on his title rematch against John Cena and they will worry about the situation with Kane. One night after a rake to the eyes led to him losing the Intercontinental Championship to Kevin Owens at Night of Champions, “The Big Guy” was in action on RAW as Ryback would go one-on-one with Bo Dallas. Before the match begins, the new Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens would make his way to ringside with a smile on his face, sitting in as a guest on commentary for the match. In the end, it was Ryback hitting Shell Shocked, pinning Bo Dallas for the win, but before Ryback can even get to his feet following the victory, Kevin Owens would attack “The Big Guy”, but the attack would backfire on the new Intercontinental Champion as Ryback would blast Owens with a clothesline before Owens retreats from the ring. After ending the record 301-day reign of Nikki Bella as Divas Champion, the new Divas Champion would be on RAW as Charlotte would hold her Divas Championship Celebration. Before the celebration gets underway, Charlotte’s proud father would make his way to the ring as two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair would appear on RAW. Flair says that there are times in a man’s life when things happen that are so “special” that you just don’t know what to say before saying that the “proudest moment” of his career was not anything that he has accomplished, it was at Night of Champions when his daughter Charlotte won the Divas Championship. “The Nature Boy” then introduces his daughter as the new Divas Champion makes her way to the ring with PCB teammates Paige & Becky Lynch by her side. As both her and her father struggle to hold back tears, the new Divas Champion says that, if she can make him “half as proud” as he has made her then she knows she is doing something right. Father and daughter then hug in the ring before Charlotte addresses her PCB teammates Paige & Becky Lynch, saying that teaming up with them has been a “dream” of hers. Charlotte then says that, in the process of becoming the new Divas Champion, she has gained two best friends in Paige & Becky Lynch. Charlotte tells Becky that she makes her smile and reminds her that life is short and to not be so serious all the time. The champion then tells Paige that she has followed in her footsteps from the start and the only reason she is champion right now is because she has followed Paige’s example. Paige then has a few words of her own for the new Divas Champion, saying that this entire celebration is for Charlotte before saying that they should all remember who made this moment possible and that is her! Paige then shows her true colors, telling Becky to “shut up” before calling the whole celebration “patronizing”, mocking the love shown between Charlotte and Ric Flair. Paige continues, saying that she won the Divas Championship on her first try before saying that Nikki Bella is going to beat Charlotte, take the title back, and the Divas division is going to go back to the way it was before the Divas Revolution. Paige then says that Charlotte is just a “placeholder” before turning her attention to Becky Lynch, saying that Becky is never going to be the Divas Champion because she’s the “least relevant” of any of the Divas! Paige would not hold back in her assessment of the rest of the division as Paige refers to Team B.A.D. as being all “flash” and “no substance” before saying that Lana and Summer Rae are too busy trying to figure out who they want to “climb onto next” instead of actually competing in the Divas division. Paige even brings up Natalya, asking if Natalya even works in WWE anymore, referring to Natalya as “Mrs. Hart”! Paige then turns her attention to The Bella Twins, saying that they all know the “real reason” that they got to where they are. Turning her attention back to Charlotte, saying that the Divas Champion would not be here today if it wasn’t for Charlotte’s “old man”. That is when Charlotte had heard enough as the Divas Champion lunges at Paige, but Becky Lynch holds Charlotte back as Paige concludes with a sarcastic “woo” before leaving the ring and walking to the back. Team Bella then comes out, telling Charlotte “welcome to my world”, saying that being on top of the Divas division means that everyone around you is “jealous” of your success. Nikki then says that it doesn’t get “any easier”, saying that, when she gets her rematch, she will take the Divas Title back, wishing Charlotte “good luck”. After her celebration was ruined by Paige, the new Divas Champion was in action on RAW as Charlotte, with Becky Lynch in her corner, would face Team Bella member Brie Bella, with Nikki Bella & Alicia Fox in her corner, in a non-title match. In the end, it was Charlotte overcoming her injured knee, locking the Figure-Eight on Brie Bella, making Brie tap out to pick up the win. After the returning Kane prevented him from cashing in his Money-in-the-Bank contract at Night of Champions, Sheamus was in action on RAW as “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” would go one-on-one with “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry. In the end, it was Sheamus catching Mark Henry with the Brogue Kick, pinning “The World’s Strongest Man” for the win. Backstage, The Authority confronts Kane in their office as the grinning Kane says that it feels good to be back at work before Triple H brings up that they haven’t heard from Kane since he was taken out by Brock Lesnar then he showed up at Night of Champions. Once again, Kane appears to have no recollection of his appearance at Night of Champions before Stephanie says that they understand that Kane wants his revenge against Seth Rollins and they understand that he wants to play “mind games” with the champion, but he should not insult the intelligence of The Authority by trying to play mind games with them. Kane says that he would never do that, saying that is why he signed a contract to be the Director of Operations and he wants to do what is “best for business”, saying that he knows that Triple H & Stephanie want the same thing. Stephanie then says that there is a way for all three of them to get on the “same page” and there is just one thing that she needs back, holding her hand out. However, Kane slaps the hand of Stephanie, but the Principal Owner says that she doesn’t need “five” from Kane, she needs his mask. Claiming to notice for the first time that his mask is not in its usual glass case, saying that the last time that he saw his mask, he gave it to Stephanie. The smile then disappears from Kane’s face as Kane tells Stephanie that, if she lost the mask, then they have a “very big problem”. Kane then puts the smile back on his face before saying that, if he finds the mask, he will let them know, telling The Authority to have a “great night” and exiting the office. Backstage, Paige is confronted by Natalya, who says that Paige had a lot of “valid points” before saying that, if anyone knows what it’s like to be left behind, it’s her. Natalya continues, telling Paige that the way she ruined Charlotte’s moment was “unprofessional”, telling Paige to imagine if someone Paige looked up to treated her like that. Natalya then tells Paige that the only person standing in Paige’s way is Paige herself. After Xavier Woods’ interference made sure that The New Day kept the WWE Tag Team Titles at Night of Champions, The New Day’s Big E & Kofi Kingston, with Xavier Woods in their corner, would join forces with “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev, with Summer Rae in his corner, to face the team of Dolph Ziggler and The Dudley Boyz in a 6-Man Tag match. At the end of a wild match, it was a distraction from Xavier Woods that would allow Rusev to take advantage as “The Bulgarian Brute” blasts Dolph Ziggler with a kick to the face, pinning Dolph for the win. The Divas were in action on RAW as Team B.A.D.’s Naomi, with Sasha Banks & Tamina in her corner, would go one-on-one with Natalya. During the match, Natalya would have the match won, but distractions from Tamina and Sasha Banks would allow Naomi to take advantage, hitting the Rear View and pinning Natalya for the win. Backstage, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins confronts The Authority, wanting to know what their plan is regarding Kane. Stephanie explains to the champion that they think that Kane got everything out of his system at Night of Champions and now he is ready to go back to working as the Director of Operations. Rollins continues to protest that Kane is out to destroy him before a visibly stressed out Triple H shouts “enough”, silencing Rollins. The COO tells Rollins to let them worry about Kane, saying that he “highly advises” that Seth Rollins worry about his rematch with John Cena tonight before a frustrated Rollins leaves the office. In a rematch from last week’s SmackDown, RAW would see “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro square off with “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show. During the match, Big Show would send Cesaro back-first into the steel ring post and this would play a deciding factor in the outcome of the match as Cesaro would try an ill-advised suplex to Big Show from the ring apron into the ring. This move would push Cesaro’s back to its limit and, when Cesaro makes it back to his feet, Big Show is waiting with a Knockout Punch for “The Swiss Superman”, pinning Cesaro for the win. After the match, Big Show has a message for his opponent on October 3 in Madison Square Garden, Brock Lesnar, saying that he has a long history with Lesnar and, when they go one-on-one on the WWE Network, he will prove why he is the “greatest giant in WWE history” when he sends Brock to “hell”. Then it was time for the main event as, after losing the United States Championship to John Cena in his first of two title defenses at Night of Champions, Seth Rollins would get his rematch on RAW as WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins would challenge new champion John Cena for the United States Title. At the end of an incredible and hard-fought match, it was Seth Rollins hitting the Frog Splash on John Cena, but Cena would hold onto Rollins upon Rollins landing, standing up with Rollins and delivering the Attitude Adjustment, pinning the WWE World Heavyweight Champion to successfully retain the United States Championship. After John Cena celebrates and heads to the back, Seth Rollins makes it to his feet as Corporate Kane appears on the Tron. Kane tells Rollins to be the best champion that he can be before saying that Rollins will face opponents that he cannot even “imagine” in his “worst nightmares”. With that, pyro erupts from the stage, but Kane would not come out to the stage as Demon Kane would emerge from beneath the ring, tearing a hole in the ring apron and grabbing hold of Seth Rollins, dragging the WWE World Heavyweight Champion through the hole in the ring, symbolically dragging the champion to hell as smoke billows out from the hole in the ring!
