WWE RAW Results: August 24, 2015By Cassidy| August 25, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results Before RAW officially gets underway, previously recorded footage from WWE Headquarters in Stamford, CT is shown, where WWE COO Triple H is joined by reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the brand new United States Champion Seth Rollins. Triple H says that SummerSlam lived up to the “hype” and it was not only because of the match between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker, it was due to one man, Seth Rollins. Rollins then proclaims that “the champ is here” before Triple H says that, with everything on the line, Rollins beat John Cena at SummerSlam and Rollins is no longer “the future” because he is now “the man”. The COO continues, asking Seth Rollins if he is ready to take his place alongside the statues of Bruno Sammartino, The Ultimate Warrior, and Andre The Giant with his own statue in the lobby of WWE Headquarters. Overwhelmed, Rollins says that this is the “greatest accomplishment” in his career before thanking and embracing Triple H. Following a highly controversial loss to The Undertaker at SummerSlam where confusion between the referee and the timekeeper led to The Undertaker stealing a victory, RAW kicks off with a very unhappy Brock Lesnar and his equally as unhappy advocate Paul Heyman. Heyman introduces himself as the “pissed off advocate” of the “ripped off conqueror” Brock Lesnar before asking how they went from Brock Lesnar making The Undertaker tap out to the history books stating that, after all these years, The Undertaker getting a victory over Brock Lesnar. Heyman continues, saying that it is an “indisputable fact” that Brock Lesnar locked The Undertaker in the Kimura Lock before showing the footage from SummerSlam that clearly shows The Undertaker tapping out to the Kimura Lock. Heyman says that he understands that people want to believe in the “fable” that is The Undertaker, saying that Brock made The Undertaker tap out, which is the equivalent of The Undertaker admitting that Brock is a better wrestler and more of a man than he is. Heyman continues, saying that Brock Lesnar does not blame the referee for the controversial match since there was no way that the referee could see The Undertaker tap out from his position. Heyman then says that Brock does not blame the timekeeper either since the timekeeper saw The Undertaker tap out and rang the bell, saying that the timekeeper had “compassion” for The Undertaker because he knew what would happen if The Undertaker did not get out of the Kimura Lock. Heyman then says that he’s got enough “material” to last all three hours of RAW. Heyman continues, saying that The Undertaker needed to be saved from a beating before saying that The Undertaker resorted to using a low blow before putting Brock in Hell’s Gate. Heyman then says that they are out there tonight because Brock Lesnar wants to fight The Undertaker “one more time”, saying that he’s not issuing a challenge to The Undertaker for a rematch at WrestleMania or the Royal Rumble or Survivor Series, he is issuing a challenge for a rematch right here, right now! With that, Brock Lesnar readies himself for the impending fight and Paul Heyman tosses the microphone out of the ring as both men await The Undertaker. However, the Superstar that Brock Lesnar got was someone who is nowhere near being The Undertaker as Bo Dallas of all people come out to the ring! Bo addresses an unamused Brock Lesnar, saying that Brock passed out while in Hell’s Gate at SummerSlam, saying that Brock eventually woke up and he probably had a “sweet dream” like Lesnar actually beating The Undertaker. Now in the ring, Dallas says that Brock can make those dreams come true and all Lesnar has to do is “bo-lieve”. Lesnar just laughs at Bo Dallas before “The Beast” breaks loose, blasting Dallas with a clothesline before ravaging Bo Dallas with four suplexes in a row. Brock Lesnar would then exit, but Paul Heyman would convince Lesnar to suplex Bo Dallas one more time and “The Beast” would comply, delivering one more suplex. Brock would leave the ring again and Heyman would convince Heyman to leave one more parting shot and, as Heyman says that Brock Lesnar “bo-lieves”, Lesnar hits Bo Dallas with a thunderous F-5 in the middle of the ring! Lesnar & Heyman then head to the back, having effectively taken out his aggression on Bo Dallas. One night after surviving a Fatal 4-Way Tag Match against The Prime Time Players, The Lucha Dragons, & Los Matadores to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions, The New Day was in action on RAW as The New Day’s Big E & Kofi Kingston, with Xavier Woods in their corner, would face The Lucha Dragons in a non-title match with the former champions The Prime Time Players guests on commentary. In the end, it was Big E & Kofi Kingston hitting the Midnight Hour on Kalisto and Big E pinning Kalisto for the win. However, The New Day’s post-match celebration was interrupted by a shocking and awe-inspiring sight as, with pyro striking the stage, a legendary tag team would re-surface in WWE and the roof would absolutely blow off the Barclays Center as none other than The Dudley Boyz would walk out to the stage to an epic response from the Brooklyn fans! The most successful and decorated tag team in WWE history would then make a beeline for the ring as Bubba Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley would waste no time in creating a moment for the ages as The Dudley Boyz would take it to The New Day, tossing the WWE Tag Team Champions out of the ring before getting their hands on Xavier Woods! Bubba Ray would then slam Xavier down and instruct D-Von to head to the top rope, scoring below the belt with their signature Whazup maneuver! For the first time in ten years, the world would hear the four words that they never thought they would hear again, “D-Von, get the table!” With that, D-Von complies as The Dudley Boyz set a table for one in the middle of the ring before lifting Xavier Woods up and sending him crashing to oblivion with the vintage 3-D! After leaving Xavier Woods in a heap, The Dudley Boyz would exit the ring to confront The Prime Time Players, making sure that the former champions know that The Dudley Boyz are back and they want the WWE Tag Team Titles! Backstage, WWE COO Triple H & WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon are admiring the brand new statue of WWE World Heavyweight and United States Champion Seth Rollins, quickly covering up the statue before Seth Rollins enters The Authority’s office. The dual champion says that WWE is “so much better off” with Triple H & Stephanie in charge and Stephanie says that it’s so much better with Rollins as the “man” in WWE. The Authority then asks Rollins to leave the office so that they can finish setting up for the grand reveal of the statue in the ring on RAW. In a rematch from their chaotic tag team match at SummerSlam, “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns and “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose would face “The New Face of Fear” Bray Wyatt and his loyal follower Luke Harper. During the match, Reigns & Ambrose would take it to Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper with Ambrose diving to the outside to take out Luke Harper, leaving Roman Reigns alone with Bray Wyatt. However, as Roman Reigns is set to deliver the Spear to Bray Wyatt, the lights go out in the arena and, when they come back on, a mysterious giant stands on the ring apron sporting a black sheep’s mask! As Bray Wyatt proudly looks at this mastodon who looks like a larger version of Bray himself, the hulking individual enters the ring with his sights set on Roman Reigns. Not one to back down, Roman Reigns goes for the Superman Punch on the larger man, but the monster just lifts Roman up and hurls him to the mat by his lapels! Dean Ambrose then enters the ring with a look of shock on his face before taking a run at the huge individual. However, the large, bearded man would take Ambrose down with a huge shoulder block before Roman Reigns tries to attack the monster, only to be swatted away with ease. The huge man then drops Ambrose with a huge chop before the hulking individual picks Roman up, locking Reigns in some sort of modified Cobra Clutch, wrenching and tossing Roman around until Reigns is rendered unconscious! The mastodon then picks Roman Reigns up, delivering a huge slam to Reigns before Dean Ambrose comes back to try and stop the monster, kicking the monster in the head to no avail! Then, as Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper look on with pride, the giant man locks on the modified Cobra Clutch on Ambrose as well, ragdolling “The Lunatic Fringe” until Ambrose is unconscious! Bray Wyatt then kneels in the middle of the ring with Luke Harper and his newest and largest follower standing behind him, screaming “follow the buzzards”. After PCB defeated Team B.A.D. and Team Bella in a Divas Three-Team Elimination Tag Match at SummerSlam, The Miz would welcome the trio to Miz TV as Paige, Charlotte, & Becky Lynch sit down with The Miz in the ring. Paige says that they don’t look at themselves as three separate Divas, they are one “cohesive unit” before The Miz suggests that there is some competition among the three PCB members. Paige says that they would not be there if it wasn’t for each other and The Miz argues that it’s a “rarity” that three women could get along. Paige would call The Miz a “pervert” before Charlotte says that they will face any “woman or man” before Paige says that they are there to prove that it is the “era of the female athlete”. Paige continues, saying that they are just as “strong” and just as “dominant” as any man before PCB is interrupted by Team Bella. Divas Champion Nikki Bella says that, as long as she is the champion, the only dominant team in the Divas division is Team Bella. Brie Bella then says that PCB is talented, but they are the “faces of empowerment”. Now in the ring, Brie Bella tells PCB “you’re welcome” before Alicia Fox says that she has seen countless rookie Divas come and go in her nine years in WWE. Becky Lynch responds by calling Alicia the “Nene Leakes of WWE” before Nikki steps in, saying that they do not have to prove anything to anyone because in just a few weeks, she will be the longest reigning Divas Champion in history. Nikki then flaunts the Divas Title belt in front of PCB, leading to an argument between the six Divas before The Miz breaks it up, saying that if they want to revolutionize the Divas division then they should emulate someone who has “revolutionized” WWE, referring to himself. The Miz then tells PCB that, right now, all he sees is “three cackling women with a hashtag who wrestle like a bunch of girls”! This naturally upsets PCB and PCB is ready to prove their toughness to The Miz when Team Bella attack PCB from behind, sparking a brief brawl between the two teams. Following a brawl on Miz TV, the Divas were in action on RAW as PCB, consisting of Paige, Charlotte, & Becky Lynch, would face Team Bella, which is made up of Divas Champion Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, & Alicia Fox, in a 6-Diva Tag Match. In the end, it was Alicia Fox hitting her version of a scissors kick, pinning Paige to pick up the win for Team Bella. After suffering a loss to Neville and “Arrow” actor Stephen Amell at SummerSlam, Stardust and King Barrett were scheduled for tag team action on RAW. However, when Barrett turns his back to grab a microphone, Stardust attacks his tag team partner! Stardust would then take Barrett out with the Queen’s Crossbow before Neville comes out, getting the better of Stardust and nearly hitting the Red Arrow before Stardust is able to escape. One night after his shocking involvement in the title-for-title match between Seth Rollins and John Cena at SummerSlam directly led to Seth Rollins winning the match and walking out with both the WWE World Heavyweight and the United States Championships, former Daily Show host and SummerSlam Host Jon Stewart would appear on RAW to explain why he attacked John Cena with a steel chair at SummerSlam. Stewart says that he apparently upset some people with his actions at SummerSlam, but then again, some people were “happy”, sparking a “yes” chant from the crowd. Stewart continues, saying that he did not do what he did to help Seth Rollins and he did not do what he did to help The Authority, saying that he attacked John Cena at SummerSlam because he simply could not let John Cena tie Ric Flair for the most reigns as World Champion in history, proclaiming that “the champ is Flair”. Jon Stewart is then surprised and elated by the surprise appearance of “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair as the two-time WWE Hall of Famer and sixteen-time World Champion styles and profiles his way to the ring. Flair then enters the ring as Flair and Stewart strut together before embracing Stewart before “The Nature Boy” admits that he was pulling for John Cena at SummerSlam. Flair then says that his record number of World Title reigns will be beaten someday before saying that he “respects” John Cena. Stewart says that he thought he was protecting Flair’s record but Flair says that Stewart has “messed up everything” before the fifteen-time former World Champion John Cena comes out to the ring to confront Jon Stewart. Cena wastes no time in addressing Stewart, saying that he is “at peace” with Jon Stewart not wanting him to match Ric Flair’s sixteen reigns as World Champion, but the problem he has is that Jon Stewart also ensured that Seth Rollins is still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and is now also the United States Champion. Stewart admits that he didn’t think it through before Cena continues, saying that the United States Championship that he made into the title of the people now belongs to Seth Rollins. Cena then tells Stewart that this is not a “comedy show” before Stewart says that he “respects” that Cena was a “fighting United States Champion” but he has been a fan for so many years and he just couldn’t let John Cena become a sixteen-time World Champion. Still outraged, Cena says that the United States Championship is now in the possession of The Authority, who does not care about what the fans want. Stewart says that Cena can “win it back”, saying that this is Cena’s “moment” before Cena says that Stewart had his moment at SummerSlam. Cena then says that, right now, he is going to do what he feels that he has to do and, with that, John Cena picks up Jon Stewart and puts the comedian down with the Attitude Adjustment! John Cena then shakes Ric Flair’s hand before leaving the ring, where a ringside physician and referees check on Jon Stewart in the ring before assisting the former Daily Show host to the back. After their respective showdowns at SummerSlam, RAW would see “The Show Off” Dolph Ziggler, with Lana in his corner, team with “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro, Intercontinental Champion Ryback, and “The Viper” Randy Orton to face the team of “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev, with Summer Rae in his corner, Kevin Owens, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show, and “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Sheamus in a huge 8-Man Tag Match. During the match, Big Show would try to knock Randy Orton from the ring apron with the Knockout Punch, but Orton would move out of the way and Big Show would inadvertently knock out Sheamus! Orton would then take advantage, hitting the RKO and pinning “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” to pick up the win for his team. After the match, Rusev and Kevin Owens would confront Big Show over his mistake, shouting and berating the giant with Big Show trying to explain the situation. However, once Kevin Owens put his hands on Big Show, the giant fires back, shoving down both Rusev and Owens before “The World’s Largest Athlete” goes for a chokeslam on Owens, but Rusev would blast Big Show with a kick to the head, followed up with a right hand by Owens. With Big Show prone in the corner, Rusev would assist Kevin Owens in hitting the Cannonball on Big Show! Rusev and Owens then leave the ring, heading to the back and ignoring Sheamus on the outside. However, still on the outside was the victorious team of Randy Orton, Cesaro, Ryback, & Dolph Ziggler, who decide that they also want a piece of Big Show. The four Superstars then enter the ring and, after a super kick from Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro and Ryback would lift Big Show up for a massive RKO from Randy Orton! The victorious team then celebrates in the ring as Big Show hobbles away from the ring. From their dark and mysterious location, Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper make an appearance, saying that, at SummerSlam, the world witnessed Roman Reigns’ moment of “glory”, saying that he hopes that Roman enjoyed that moment. Bray then says that he’s got someone that he would like Roman to meet before the huge individual who single-handedly laid waste to both Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose earlier in the night appears behind Bray and Harper. Bray then introduces Roman, Ambrose, and the world to Braun Strowman, referring to Strowman as Sister Abigail’s “black sheep” as Strowman removes his black sheep’s mask, exposing his intense and frightening face as Bray Wyatt laughs. Backstage, The Authority confronts John Cena, sarcastically applauding Cena’s treatment of Jon Stewart before saying that, for John Cena to get involved in Seth Rollins’ celebration, he would actually have to be in the arena to do it. This is when Stephanie introduces two security guards, saying that she is not going to let anyone ruin Seth Rollins’ celebration tonight before the two security guards escort John Cena out of the arena. Then it was time for the celebration of the first ever Superstar to hold both the WWE World Heavyweight Title and the United States Title at the same time as The Authority would make their to the ring to unveil Seth Rollins’ new statue. However, before doing so, Triple H & Stephanie McMahon asks everyone to join them in singing “happy birthday” to the Chairman and CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon, who turned 70 years old! Even though the Chairman refused to come out to the ring, Triple H assured everyone that his father-in-law is definitely not happy about the surprise. Triple H & Stephanie then get down to business, saying that they look for someone who will show up early and stay late and, when you look for someone to “immortalize in bronze”, you look for someone who would want to ensure that they are “paying back” those who have invested in him. Triple H says that Seth Rollins has “hustle, loyalty, and respect” but he also has one more thing that no one else has, saying that Rollins is a “winner” before saying that Rollins is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the new United States Champion and he deserves a bronze statue. Triple H then introduces “the man” Seth Rollins as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and United States Champion makes his way to the ring. Rollins says that tonight is a great night for him and a great night for everyone, saying that he is joining the “Mount Rushmore of WWE”, calling his statue a bigger accomplishment than the WWE Hall of Fame. The champion then says that, when he defeated John Cena at SummerSlam, he became a “legend”, saying that, tonight, with the unveiling of his statue, he becomes “immortal”! Rollins continues, saying that he has called John Cena a lot of things over the last month and he has meant “every, single word of it” before saying that John Cena has worked every single day to “be the man” and, for the past ten years, Cena “was the man”. The champion then quotes Ric Flair, saying that “to be the man, you’ve got to beat the man” and, at SummerSlam, he became “the man” before saying that his statue will live forever in recognition of his legacy. Rollins continues, saying that he will take his place alongside Bruno Sammartino, The Ultimate Warrior, and Andre The Giant before saying that he cannot wait any longer, proclaiming that “the champ is here” before he and The Authority ready themselves for the grand unveiling. However, when the curtain rises, there was no statue, but what stood on the podium was something, or rather someone, much more impressive as none other than “The Icon” Sting stands before The Authority! Shocked, Triple H & Stephanie slowly exit the ring, leaving Seth Rollins all alone with Sting. The champion immediately tries to fire the first shot against the legend, but Sting fights back, taking it to Rollins before hitting the Stinger Splash and sending Rollins out of the ring! Rollins then regroups with Triple H & Stephanie and, as Rollins and The Authority looks on, Sting picks up the WWE World Heavyweight Title belt, holding it high above his head, letting Rollins, The Authority, and everyone else know that “The Stinger” wants the WWE World Heavyweight Championship!
