WWE RAW Results: July 20, 2015By Cassidy| July 21, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results After his shocking return at Battleground where he appeared during the WWE World Heavyweight Title match and spiked Brock Lesnar with back-to-back Tombstone Piledrivers, RAW would kick off with a rare appearance from the one and only “Phenom” of WWE as The Undertaker makes his eerie entrance into the arena as “The Deadman” steps into the ring to a thunderous ovation from the crowd. The Undertaker says that he stands there tonight as a “relentless, remorseless, cold-blooded, vengeful grim reaper”, saying that streaks are “made to be broken” and that is the “painful truth”. The Undertaker continues, saying that Brock Lesnar had to remind everyone week-after-week, month-after-month of his greatest accomplishment, saying that Lesnar has took what was “smoldering ashes” and turned it into a “raging inferno”. The Undertaker then says that Battleground was his “true resurrection”, telling Lesnar that you “can’t kill what won’t die” before saying that “unleashed forces” will now set their careers towards “new destinies”. The Undertaker then says that he will challenge Brock Lesnar’s “mortality” and he will “conquer what has yet to be conquered” and, in the end, just like all living things, be it “man or beast”, Brock Lesnar will “rest in peace”! Backstage, WWE COO Triple H and WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon are ecstatic over the re-emergence of The Undertaker, salivating over the showdown between The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Triple H then advises his wife to tell Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman to not bother showing up on RAW, saying that Lesnar has gotten what he wants and they don’t want to jeopardize the SummerSlam main event by having The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar in the same place at the same time. After a big win in a Triple Threat Match against Brie Bella and Sasha Banks at Battleground, Team Paige member Charlotte was in action on RAW as, with Paige and Becky Lynch in her corner, the second-generation competitor would go one-on-one with Team Bella member Brie Bella, with Alicia Fox and Divas Champion Nikki Bella in her corner, with Team B.A.D. guests on commentary. After knocking Nikki Bella off of the ring apron, it was Charlotte striking with a Spear before locking in the Figure Eight on Brie Bella, making Brie tap out for the second night in a row to pick up the win. Following a successful title defense against The New Day at Battleground, the WWE Tag Team Champions were in action on RAW as The Prime Time Players would face Los Matadores, with El Torito in their corner, in a non-title match. During the match, The New Day comes out, preaching to The Prime Time Players, distracting them long enough for Los Matadores to take advantage as Diego hits the Back Stabber on Titus O’Neil, pinning Titus to pick up the win. After getting knocked out by Big Show at Battleground, the self-proclaimed “A-Lister” The Miz would go one-on-one with “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show on RAW. Big Show would dominate the match, ending things with a huge elbow drop off of the middle rope, pinning The Miz for the win. After the match, Big Show would kick The Miz before saying that the only thing that is “missing” is Ryback with his Intercontinental Championship, saying that he will take the title from Ryback anytime, anywhere. Despite Triple H & Stephanie McMahon instructing Paul Heyman and his client, Brock Lesnar, to stay out of the arena, The Authority would spot Paul Heyman in the backstage area. Triple H & Stephanie would immediately confront Heyman looking for answers and the advocate explains that he is just there to deliver a “retort” on Brock Lesnar’s behalf and then he will leave. Heyman then walks off, but Triple H & Stephanie do not believe what Heyman has to say. After spotting Paul Heyman in the back, Triple H & Stephanie McMahon address several Superstars in the back, instructing the Superstars to make sure that there is no physical contact between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker tonight. For the first time since his client, Brock Lesnar, was left lying in the middle of the ring at the hands of The Undertaker at Battleground, Paul Heyman would appear on RAW. Heyman says that Brock Lesnar should be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion right now, but he is not and it had nothing to do with anything that reigning champion Seth Rollins did. Heyman then says that Lesnar is not the champion because of the “demonic resurrection” of The Undertaker, saying that the fans witnessed history at Battleground. Heyman continues, saying that, for the first time since April of last year, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker were face-to-face in the ring and, on that night, Lesnar ended the undefeated WrestleMania streak of The Undertaker. Heyman then says that beating The Undertaker at WrestleMania is Brock Lesnar’s greatest accomplishment and of course he would brag about it, bringing up the list of names who failed to beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Heyman continues, saying that The Undertaker took away Brock Lesnar’s right to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and now it all comes down to SummerSlam where The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar will go one-on-one. Heyman then says that The Undertaker can sell his soul to the devil, but his “ass belongs to Brock Lesnar”! This raises the ire of The Undertaker as “The Phenom” appears in the ring, backing Paul Heyman into the corner. This is when Brock Lesnar would arrive on the scene and, as the announce team wisely flees their position at ringside, “The Beast” makes a beeline for the ring, tackling The Undertaker as an all-out brawl breaks out between the SummerSlam opponents. WWE COO Triple H then comes out to the stage, ordering countless security guards to rush the ring, but The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar take out the security before resuming their brawl. Triple H then orders a slew of Superstars to break up the fight as The Ascension, Jimmy Uso, Fandango, Curtis Axel, Los Matadores, Cesaro, Bo Dallas, The Prime Time Players, The New Day, Adam Rose, Sheamus, Kevin Owens, Brad Maddox, Heath Slater, The Lucha Dragons, Rusev, Jack Swagger, Zack Ryder, R-Truth, King Barrett, Damien Sandow, & Mark Henry flood the ring to try and break up the fight. However, Brock Lesnar would exit the ring, running around to the other side of the ring to get a few more shots in on The Undertaker before the locker room pulls them apart again. As the combined manpower of Superstars and security try to force the two men apart, The Undertaker would escape, getting a few shots in on Brock Lesnar before the Superstars and security are finally able to create enough distance between the two as Lesnar screams, “I’m going to kill you”! The Superstars and security team are then able to force Brock Lesnar to the backstage area, finally halting the brawl for the time being. Backstage, the contingent of Superstars is escorting Brock Lesnar out of the building when The Undertaker shows up again, also in the process of being ejected. Upon spotting Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker dives at Brock Lesnar and, again, the Superstars scramble to pull the two men apart before Brock Lesnar pulls away from the Superstars again, launching himself at “The Deadman” as the two continue to brawl with Triple H, referees, security, Superstars, and even the local police trying with all their power to break the fight. The police offers are able to keep Brock Lesnar at bay as the police are forced to zip-tie Brock Lesnar’s hands together to keep “The Beast” under control as Brock is escorted to a waiting police wagon. Still reeling from the fight between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker, Triple H and Stephanie are discussing the fight when WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins enters their office as Rollins claims that he had a lot of things he wanted to say to Lesnar and The Undertaker before asking for time to address the fans, which is granted by The Authority. After re-forging their dark alliance at Battleground at the expense of Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper would appear in their dark and secluded location as Bray says that his “family” stands by his side because they know he is more than just a man, he is an “enigma”. Bray then says that he is the leader of a “revolution” that sees what Roman Reigns truly is, saying that the fans picked Reigns and now they are all going to “burn for it”. Luke Harper then says that “this is just the beginning” and it will “never stop” until there is “nothing left”. Wyatt then concludes that they are going to “fix a mistake” tonight, telling Roman “anyone but you”. One night after Luke Harper reunited with Bray Wyatt, helping Wyatt defeat Roman Reigns at Battleground, Roman Reigns would be looking for a measure of revenge on RAW as “The Big Dog” would go one-on-one with Luke Harper, with Bray Wyatt in his corner. However, before the match begins, Roman Reigns stares down Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper before Dean Ambrose makes his way to ringside to keep things fair. Throughout the match, Luke Harper would focus on the left arm of Roman Reigns, using the injured arm as a means to maintain control of the match. Somehow, Roman Reigns would manage to mount a comeback, but when Roman goes for the Drive-By on the outside, he is stopped by Bray Wyatt and, after a brief face-off, Reigns would drop Wyatt with an uppercut before delivering the Drive-By to both Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper! Reigns would then try to head back into the ring, but Bray would pull Roman back out, ending the match by disqualification. Bray then sends Roman into the announce table before Dean Ambrose gets involved, brawling with Bray Wyatt while Luke Harper focuses on Roman Reigns. However, with Roman Reigns unable to defend himself, the one man advantage would catch up with Dean Ambrose as Luke Harper deposits “The Lunatic Fringe” into the timekeeper’s area. Wyatt & Harper then bring Roman Reigns into the ring where Harper locks in a modified Crossface on Reigns. Ambrose then jumps back into the fray, taking it to Wyatt & Harper before Bray looks for Sister Abigail on Ambrose, but Roman Reigns would intervene with a Superman Punch to Wyatt, leaving Ambrose & Reigns standing tall in the ring as a frustrated Wyatt & Harper exit through the crowd. After he was within an eyelash of losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Brock Lesnar before The Undertaker appeared at Battleground, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins would make an appearance on RAW. The champion would make his way to the ring with a smile on his face before asking the fans how it feels to be “wrong” about Seth Rollins again. Rollins then says that they bought into Paul Heyman’s “propaganda”, saying that no one expected him to walk out of Battleground as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but he did just that. The champion continues, saying that Brock Lesnar has victimized several Superstars over the years before saying that he doesn’t “give a damn” about Brock Lesnar. Rollins then says that he is the “most underappreciated champion in the history of WWE”, saying that he took everything that Brock Lesnar had at Battleground and survived, but the fans still “disrespect” him like they always do. Rollins then says that everything that he has done in his life was done so that he could be the champion, saying that, since he won the title at WrestleMania, he has survived as the champion and he is the “be all, end all of champions in this industry”. Rollins continues, saying that, if Brock Lesnar had “half the brain” that Rollins has, Lesnar would have got as far away from The Undertaker as possible at Battleground. Rollins then says that he feels like he was “robbed” by Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker at Battleground before saying that he needs some “help” to rectify that. The champion then asks ring announcer Lilian Garcia to come into the ring and, while hesitant, Lilian would comply as Rollins asks Lilian to make the announcement that should have been made after the title match at Battleground. With Rollins coaxing her along the way, Lilian would announce that the “winner by disqualification due to outside interference by The Undertaker is Brock Lesnar”. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion is then interrupted by a Superstar who had a much more honorable title defense at Battleground as United States Champion John Cena makes his way to the ring. Cena says that he has decided that the fans, as well as Lilian Garcia, no longer have to put up with Seth Rollins’ “crap”. Rollins says that Cena has carved out a “nice little niche” for himself with the U.S. Open Challenge, assuming that Cena is out there for the challenge. However, the United States Champion says that he is out there to “thank” Seth Rollins for being a “poor excuse for a champion” for making him, as well as the United States Championship, look so much better by comparison. Cena continues, saying that Rollins’ actions make people “lose faith” in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship every week and “gain respect” for the United States Championship. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion says that Cena offers a title shot to anyone who wants one, but the Superstars who challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship have to “earn it”. Rollins then says that Cena defends the United States Title every week as a way to try and “placate” the fans because he knows that the fans hate him, saying that Cena can have his “little U.S. Open Challenge” because he is going to keep being “the champion in WWE”. Rollins is then set to exit the ring, but Cena is not done with Rollins, saying that Rollins has ran away from every challenge that has stood before him since winning the gold at WrestleMania. Cena then declares that “the champ is here” before saying that it’s the “man that makes the title”, calling Rollins a “joke” and daring Rollins to “man up”. The two champions then look set to come to blows before Rollins leaves the ring, grinning at Cena before the United States Champion again declares that “the champ is here”. The Diva revolution would continue on RAW as Team Paige members Paige and Becky Lynch, with Charlotte in their corner, would face two-thirds of Team B.A.D. in Naomi and NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, with Tamina in their corner, with all three members of Team Bella guests on commentary. All hell would break loose during the match as, once Paige locks in the PTO on Naomi, Sasha Banks breaks it up and Paige would toss Sasha out of the ring and Tamina would get on the apron. This would give Naomi the opportunity to tag in Sasha Banks and the NXT Women’s Champion would score with the Back Stabber on Paige, following it up with the Bank Statement, making Paige tap out to pick up the win for her team. Backstage, an interview with Lana regarding Dolph Ziggler’s condition following the attack by Rusev two weeks ago is interrupted by an unusual sight as Lana spots the new woman in Rusev’s life, Summer Rae, dressed identically to Lana! Summer says that the new look makes her look “smarter” and “dangerous”, adding that Rusev approves of the new look, so she is going to keep it. Rusev then sets his sights on Summer Rae, saying that Summer looks “angel-like”, planting a kiss on the Lana doppelganger, making sure to look at Lana during the kiss. Rusev then says that Lana “looks tired” before walking off and laughing before Summer Rae viciously slaps Lana across the face! Then it was time for an explosive main event as United States Champion John Cena would join forces with “The Viper” Randy Orton and “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro to face the team of Kevin Owens, “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Sheamus, and “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev, with Summer Rae in his corner, in a 6-Man Tag Match. During the match, Cesaro would shove Kevin Owens into Sheamus, knocking “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” off of the ring apron. Owens would then take Cesaro down in the ring before Sheamus enters the ring to confront his tag partner as, in mere moments, the team implodes as Sheamus and Owens shove each other before Sheamus blasts Owens in the face before walking off, abandoning his team! With Rusev still recovering on the arena floor, Kevin Owens would have no one to tag for a moment and, when Rusev gets back on the ring apron, Rusev would hear about it as Owens aggressively slaps “The Bulgarian Brute” across the chest for the tag, calling Rusev an “idiot”. Rusev then tried to turn his attention to Cesaro, but Kevin Owens would insist on getting in Rusev’s face and when Rusev takes exception to Owens trying to walk out on the match, Owens blasts his tag partner with a kick to the face, walking out on the match just like Sheamus did, leaving Rusev all alone against John Cena, Cesaro, & Randy Orton! With the match still in progress, Lana would march down to ringside with revenge on her mind as, with Rusev looking on, Lana would attack Summer Rae, ripping the bun out of Summer’s hair before storming to the back. This would then prove to be a terrible night for Rusev as “The Bulgarian Brute” would turn around and find himself face-to-face with John Cena as the United States Champion delivers the Attitude Adjustment to Rusev. Cesaro then grabs Rusev by the legs, spinning Rusev around with the Cesaro Swing before using a slingshot maneuver to send Rusev right into an RKO from Randy Orton, who pins Rusev to pick up the win for his team! Cena, Cesaro, & Orton then celebrate their victory in the ring, soaking in their victory in a chaotic match. What did you think of this week’s RAW? Post your comments in the box below.
