WWE: Daniel Bryan cleared to compete by neurologistBy Cassidy| July 26, 2015 Wrestling News After Daniel Bryan was forced to forfeit the Intercontinental Championship back on May 11 due to an unspecified injury, the former World Champion has revealed the details of his injury. As reported by Wrestling-Online.com, Daniel Bryan was interviewed recently by Busted Open Radio where Bryan revealed that his neurologist has cleared him to return to in-ring competition, but WWE’s medical team has not yet cleared him. Bryan then explains that the reason he has been out of action these last few months is not due to issues with his neck or shoulder as previously thought, but he has been kept on the shelf due to a concussion. WWE is notorious for its tough stance on concussions and it’s not at all surprising that WWE is holding off on Bryan’s return until they are absolutely sure he is healthy enough to compete. Bryan also comments that his neurologist told him that his brain is working on a higher level than most athletes who have never suffered a concussion. Bryan also revealed that his neck is 100% while his right arm is around 85%, saying that his right arm will never be 100% since he waited so long to get surgery to correct the injury. Daniel Bryan has not competed in a WWE ring since the April 16 episode of SmackDown in London. Bryan would later be sent home from the European Tour as a precautionary measure.
