WWE RAW Results: June 8, 2015By Cassidy| June 10, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results Six nights before he goes one-on-one with NXT Champion Kevin Owens at Money-in-the-Bank in a rematch from their epic WWE Elimination Chamber collision, RAW kicks off with United States Champion John Cena and Cena’s U.S. Open Challenge. Cena says that some of the “biggest moments” in WWE history are not defined by championships, but by the “will to win”, saying that, this Sunday at Money-in-the-Bank, two champions will face off in the “biggest rematch in WWE history”. Cena continues, saying that NXT Champion Kevin Owens will fight to prove that his “time is now”, saying that he will fight to prove that he is “just getting started”. The United States Champion then says that he fights to prove that anything is possible, saying that, whether they cheer or boo him, they know deep down that there is no safer bet than a bet on John Cena. Cena then says that they will be “astounded” and “entertained”, but they will be “reminded” that he is the “face that runs this place” and that he is John Cena. This brings out Cena’s Money-in-the-Bank opponent, NXT Champion Kevin Owens, who slowly walks down the ramp, saying that Cena is “delusional” if he thinks that he is going to win this Sunday. The NXT Champion then says that people have been seeing Cena come out at the start of RAW and they are tired of seeing it, proposing that they give the fans “something different” in the form of an NXT Open Challenge for the NXT Championship! Cena agrees with Kevin Owens’ proposal before accepting the challenge himself! Now entering the ring, Kevin Owens says that they are going to fight at Money-in-the-Bank, so Cena can’t fight him tonight. Cena says that Owens is the one that is “delusional” since he came out there to offer anyone a shot at the NXT Championship, but won’t defend it against Cena. Cena then says that, when he issues an open challenge for the United States Championship, he will defend it against anyone, including Kevin Owens, saying that he’s the “man to beat” before declaring the start of the U.S. Open Challenge, telling Owens that, if he wants some, come get some! Kevin Owens then says that he is going to ignore everything that John Cena just said, instead proposing that whichever Superstar comes out to accept the challenge gets to select which championship he wants to go for. This brings out Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match competitor and “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Neville, who makes his way to the ring, saying that he would love to challenge Cena for the United States Championship in the future. Neville then says that Owens likes to call himself a “prize fighter”, but Owens is a “fighter” who is not worthy of the “prize” he holds. With that, Neville chooses to challenge Kevin Owens for the NXT Championship! After being given the option of challenging for either the NXT Championship or the United States Championship, “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Neville would challenge Kevin Owens for the NXT Championship on RAW with United States Champion John Cena a guest on commentary. Despite an impressive performance from Neville, Kevin Owens would twice avoid the Red Arrow before planting the high-flyer with the Pop-Up Powerbomb, pinning Neville to successfully retain the NXT Championship as Cena applauds Owens before both men hold up their respective titles. The NXT Champion then invites John Cena into the ring and the United States Champion slides into the ring, ready for a fight, but Owens opts to leave the ring, saving the fight for Sunday. With Dean Ambrose touring New Orleans with his WWE World Heavyweight Title belt, Seth Rollins would confront Triple H & Stephanie McMahon backstage. Rollins says that Ambrose is embarrassing them, but The Authority corrects Rollins, reminding the champion that he said that he didn’t need The Authority. Rollins claims that he was talking about not needing the help of Kane and J&J Security, not Triple H & Stephanie, saying that he has the “utmost respect” for them. The power couple says that the champion does not need them, saying that Rollins is capable of beating Ambrose by himself, saying that they will be at Money-in-the-Bank, but only to “observe”. Triple H then says that they are going to let Rollins pick his opponent tonight and let him show The Authority what he can do on his own. Rollins thanks Triple H & Stephanie for having confidence in him, saying that he won’t let them down. Triple H would respond by saying that they are “banking on it” before Rollins exits. In a backstage interview with Renee Young, Divas Champion Nikki Bella says that Paige may not like the world she lives in, but it’s not because of a lack of opportunity, it’s because Paige is not “good enough” to change it. Nikki then says that Paige may think that WWE is her “house”, but it is The Bella Twins’ “world”. Before she defends the Divas Championship against Paige at Money-in-the-Bank this Sunday, the Divas Champion was in action on RAW as Nikki Bella would go one-on-one with Summer Rae in a non-title match. In the end, it was Nikki Bella hitting the Rack Attack on Summer Rae, pinning Summer for the win. Before he joins Randy Orton, Sheamus, Neville, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, & Kane in the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match this Sunday, Roman Reigns would make an appearance on RAW. Roman says that there was a time where he absolutely “hated” the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase, but it doesn’t seem as bad when it’s not attached to the “biggest jackass in WWE history” Seth Rollins. Reigns then vows to win the contract, saying that Dean Ambrose will walk out as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Money-in-the-Bank and he will challenge his ‘brother’ for the title. The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane comes out, telling Roman Reigns that The Authority has put him in the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match for one reason and that is to “protect their interests”. Kane then says that his “job” is to win and, as Director of Operations, there is no better man for that job than him. Reigns then dares Kane to come into the ring before Dolph Ziggler makes his way to the ring, saying that Kane doesn’t make a move unless The Authority tells him to. Dolph then says that he can’t really call him Kane anymore, saying that Kane is more like a “human hardware store”, saying that Kane is often throwing a “wrench” in someone’s plans or just plain “screwing someone over”. Ziggler continues, calling Kane the “biggest tool in WWE” and saying that he is on a bit of a roll, vowing that he is going to win the Money-in-the-Bank contract this Sunday. Kane responds by saying that even the most common household tool can be used in a variety of “interesting and sadistic ways”, warning that Dolph and Roman better watch their mouths. R-Truth then comes out, saying that he “conquered” his fear of heights at WrestleMania before talking about what he’s going to do in the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match. However, the big problem with this is the fact that R-Truth is not even in the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match, a fact which Kane promptly reminds Truth of. Apparently as confused as everyone else, R-Truth asks Kane if he’s sure before saying that the whole thing is on him, offering a “my bad” before heading to the back. The Director of Operations is then interrupted by WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day as Money-in-the-Bank participant Kofi Kingston claims that the “power of positivity” will help him win this Sunday. All three men then enter the ring as The New Day claims that, when Kofi wins the contract, all three of them will be “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank”. Kane again tries to speak, but “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus comes out, saying that the fact that any of them think they will win this Sunday puts a “big smile” on his face. Sheamus then says that the fans deserve an “icon” as champion and, after he wins Money-in-the-Bank this Sunday, he will be one step closer to becoming the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Making sure that everyone is done talking, Kane reminds the men in the ring that there are two other Superstars who are in the match, Neville and Sheamus’ opponent tonight, Randy Orton. Six nights before they are part of the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match this Sunday, “The Viper” Randy Orton would go one-on-one with the man who assaulted him last week, “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus. During the match, the fight would spill to the outside where Sheamus would again grab a steel chair, but Randy Orton would dodge the shot, tossing the chair into Sheamus’ mid-section, ending the match by disqualification. With revenge on his mind, “The Viper” would send Sheamus face-first into the steel ring post before dropping Sheamus back-first onto the announce table. Orton then drags Sheamus to the steel steps, stomping on Sheamus’ head before rolling “The Celtic Warrior” into the ring and striking with the RKO in the middle of the ring! Backstage, J&J Security confront Seth Rollins as Jamie Noble says that Joey Mercury “forgives” Rollins for his comments about not needing them and they would be honored to be in Rollins corner this Sunday. The champion responds by saying that he meant everything he said, saying that he plucked the two of them from “obscurity” and made them his security team. Rollins then says that, if J&J Security weren’t the “biggest idiots in WWE history” then maybe he would still have his title belt. Surprisingly, Jamie Noble stands up to Rollins, telling the champion “screw you” and saying that they are “The Shield 2.0”. Noble continues, saying that Rollins is going to turn on them just like he turned on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, telling Rollins that he wouldn’t last a minute if The Authority wasn’t backing him. Rollins takes offense to this before saying that The Authority has given him the option of picking his own opponent tonight, so he is picking the two of them as his opponents in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match! The champion then slaps Noble across the face and Noble fires back with a slap to Rollins before Joey Mercury gets in between the two. Mercury then breaks his silence, telling Rollins that J&J Security has had Rollins’ back since day one and, tonight, they are going to kick Rollins’ “ass”! J&J Security then storm out of the locker room, leaving the champion with a look of surprise on his face. Two of the seven Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match participants would square off on RAW as “The Showoff” Dolph Ziggler, with Lana watching from the ramp, would go one-on-one with The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane. During the match, Kane and Dolph Ziggler would knock each other down and, meanwhile, the injured Rusev would walk out on crutches to confront Lana. Lana would try to get around Rusev, but Rusev would not let Lana pass and Lana would accidentally fall off of the ramp, hurting her ankle. Dolph Ziggler would then take his focus off of the match with concern for Lana and that would cost “The Showoff” as Kane would take advantage, planting Ziggler with the chokeslam, pinning Dolph for the win. After the match, Rusev would initially appear concerned, but “The Bulgarian Brute” would then have a big grin on his face, happy to see Lana in pain. After recovering from the chokeslam, Dolph Ziggler would rush to the aid of Lana as Dolph and a WWE doctor would check on Lana’s ankle. Before Ryback defends the Intercontinental Championship for the first time against “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show at Money-in-the-Bank this Sunday, “The Big Guy” and his Money-in-the-Bank opponent would both be guests on Miz TV. After reliving what happened last week when he was knocked out by Big Show before his scheduled Intercontinental Title match against Ryback, The Miz claims that he is pursuing legal action against Big Show and Ryback. The Miz is then interrupted by the first of his two guests as Intercontinental Champion Ryback makes his way to the ring. Ryback says that The Miz talks about his resume each and every week before saying that The Miz is lucky that Big Show knocked him out last week because, had their match gotten started, he would have “shortened” The Miz’s career. The Miz responds by calling the Intercontinental Champion “ugly”, saying that he understands how “valuable” a good-looking face is. The Miz then tries to stir up trouble, saying that Big Show robbed Ryback of his opportunity to face a “mega star” last week, saying that Ryback should do something about it. This brings out The Miz’s other guest, Big Show, who scares The Miz out of his seat before squeezing into the chair. Big Show says that he hated The Miz more than any other tag team partner he’s ever had before saying that, if he needs something “broken”, he breaks it and, if he wants something, he “takes it”. Ryback then says that he does not need The Miz to try and manipulate him into fighting Big Show because he’s not afraid of Big Show. The champion then stands up, saying that, if Big Show wants the Intercontinental Title, then he has to come and get it. Big Show then stands up, saying that, come Money-in-the-Bank, he is going to beat Ryback and take the Intercontinental Title. The Miz then tries to interject himself again, but “The World’s Largest Athlete” tells The Miz to keep his mouth shut and, while The Miz appears afraid of Big Show, as soon as the giant turns his back, The Miz tries to ambush Big Show. However, the ambush would fail and, after shoving Ryback down, Big Show would send Miz over the top rope to the outside. Big Show then turns right around into a waiting Ryback as the Intercontinental Champion manages to hoist “The World’s Largest Athlete” up and drop his challenger with Shell Shocked! The reunited ‘brothers’ of Luke Harper & Erick Rowan were in action on RAW as the strange and enigmatic team would face Los Matadores, with El Torito in their corner. In the end, it was Harper & Rowan using their new double team maneuver called “The Way” on Fernando as Harper pins Fernando for the win. After the match, Diego would make the questionable decision to attack the towering team and would also feel the wrath of The Way. Luke Harper would then grab a microphone, repeatedly saying “tick tock” before saying that the time to “pay for your sins” is coming and the “judgment” is waiting “at your door”. Erick Rowan then says that it is “okay to be afraid” because they “should be”. Backstage, Kane confronts Seth Rollins, telling the champion that he is in a “no win” situation at Money-in-the-Bank because, even if Rollins retains the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Dean Ambrose, then Kane will cash in Money-in-the-Bank and take title from Rollins while also keeping the title in The Authority. Rollins reiterates that he doesn’t need Kane or J&J Security and, after he gets done making an “example” out of J&J Security, he is going to give Dean Ambrose a taste of what awaits him at Money-in-the-Bank. The champion continues, saying that if Kane somehow wins the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match this Sunday, then he should cash it in because he would love nothing more than to put his boot right in Kane’s “ugly, smug, sweaty, disgusting face”. Kane responds by saying that, while Rollins is on his own in the main event, his “ugly, smug, sweaty, disgusting face” is going to be in J&J Security’s corner. Six nights before The New Day’s Big E & Xavier Woods defend the WWE Tag Team Titles against The Prime Time Players at Money-in-the-Bank, WWE Tag Team Champion Big E, with Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston in his corner, would face The Prime Time Players’ Titus O’Neil, with Darren Young in his corner. With some help from Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston on the outside, Big E would hit the Big Ending on Titus O’Neil, pinning Titus for the win. With both men no doubt looking ahead to the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match this Sunday, RAW would see Roman Reigns square off with WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston, with Big E & Xavier Woods in his corner. Despite the best efforts of Big E & Xavier Woods on the outside, Roman Reigns would emerge victorious as, when Kofi Kingston comes off of the top rope, Roman catches Kofi in mid-air with the Superman Punch, pinning Kingston to pick up the win in what could be a sign of things to come at Money-in-the-Bank. Reigns then grabs a steel chair for a friend and that friend is none other than “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose as Ambrose makes the Smoothie King Center his last stop on his tour of New Orleans, taking a seat in the front row with the WWE World Heavyweight Title belt over his shoulder. With his Money-in-the-Bank challenger Dean Ambrose sitting in the front row with the WWE World Heavyweight Title belt, it was time for the main event as WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins would set out to prove that he does not need The Authority as the champion would face J&J Security, with Kane in their corner, in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. J&J Security would put up an impressive fight against Seth Rollins, but after Rollins delivers the turnbuckle powerbomb to Joey Mercury into Jamie Noble, the champion would toss Mercury to the outside and it seemed to be as good as over at that point. Rollins would take the time to slap Noble a couple of times before setting up for the Pedigree and this is when Dean Ambrose would jump over the barricade, sliding the WWE World Heavyweight Title belt into the ring. Forgetting about the match in progress, Rollins would toss Noble aside before heading over to pick up his title belt. Meanwhile, Jamie Noble makes a tag to Joey Mercury and the veteran Superstar surprises Seth Rollins with a roll-up, scoring the pinfall and shocking the world, most of all Seth Rollins, as J&J Security beats the WWE World Heavyweight Champion! As Kane and J&J Security celebrate Noble & Mercury’s huge upset victory on the outside, Dean Ambrose slides into the ring, spiking the champion with Dirty Deeds before once again stealing the WWE World Heavyweight Title belt! “The Lunatic Fringe” then sets up a ladder in the entranceway, symbolically climbing the ladder and holding the WWE World Heavyweight Title belt high above his head in what could very well be a sign of things to come at Money-in-the-Bank.
