WWE Elimination Chamber 2015 ResultsBy Cassidy| June 1, 2015 WWE PPVs Previous Page Detailed Results WWE Elimination Chamber kicks off with gold on the line as, for the first time ever, the WWE Tag Team Titles would be decided inside the demonic Elimination Chamber as The New Day would defend the WWE Tag Team Championship against Cesaro & Tyson Kidd, The Lucha Dragons, The Ascension, Los Matadores, & The Prime Time Players in the Elimination Chamber Match. In the match, two randomly selected teams would start the match with the other four teams being locked inside designated pods inside the Chamber and, every four minutes, another team will be randomly released from their pod with both members of a team being legal in the match at the same time. This will continue until all six teams have entered the match and elimination occurs by either pinfall or submission with the last team remaining leaving as the WWE Tag Team Champions. With The Prime Time Players, Los Matadores, Cesaro & Tyson Kidd, and all three members of the defending WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day being locked inside the pods, the Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship would start with The Lucha Dragons facing The Ascension. Early on in the match, both Kalisto and Sin Cara would ascend to the top of the Chamber pods and Sin Cara would come off the top of the pod with a huge senton bomb to Konnor, but when Kalisto looks to take flight, The New Day would pull Kalisto’s leg through the top of the pod, keeping Kalisto isolated from the action. The first team would then be released from their pod as Cesaro & Tyson Kidd officially enter the Elimination Chamber Match. After taking out The Ascension, Cesaro would grab Kalisto from the top of the pod, delivering a huge superplex to Kalisto! Along with El Torito, Los Matadores would then enter the match and, meanwhile, Kalisto scaled to the roof of the Elimination Chamber, dropping down and taking out every able body in the ring! El Torito would then try to do the same, but the miniature bull would get caught by The Ascension, who tosses El Torito into Diego on the outside before hitting the Fall of Man on Fernando, pinning Fernando to eliminate Los Matadores from the match. The Ascension would then continue to dominate the match, this time hitting the Fall of Man on Kalisto with Konnor pinning Kalisto to eliminate The Lucha Dragons. The Prime Time Players would then be released from their pods and they would set their sights on The Ascension and, after Darren Young hits his signature gut buster on Viktor, Young scores the pin to eliminate The Ascension, leaving only three teams in the match. With The Prime Time Players and Cesaro & Tyson Kidd barely able to stand in the ring, the WWE Tag Team Champions would enter the match as, after helping The Authority on SmackDown, The New Day would be rewarded by all three members being allowed into the match. However, a brief alliance between The Prime Time Players and Cesaro & Tyson Kidd would negate the one man advantage as all four men would deliver a suplex to all three members of The New Day! Cesaro & Tyson Kidd would then have the ingenious idea to take Xavier Woods and throw him back into his pod, evening things up for the three teams in the match! Cesaro & Tyson Kidd then looked poised to eliminate The New Day after Cesaro uses the Cesaro Swing on Kofi Kingston and Kidd follows it up with a dropkick, but Darren Young would catch Cesaro by surprise with a roll-up and, with Tyson Kidd attempting a pinfall on Kofi, Kidd would be unaware that the referee was actually counting his partner’s shoulders to the mat as Cesaro & Tyson Kidd are eliminated, leaving The New Day and The Prime Time Players to battle for the WWE Tag Team Titles. With Big E helping Xavier Woods out of his pod, the three members of The New Day would quickly overwhelm The Prime Time Players, first taking out Titus O’Neil before turning their focus to Darren Young. However, Young would manage to fight back against The New Day, even sending Big E head first into one of the pods! Titus O’Neil then re-enters the fray and, together, The Prime Time Players take it to The New Day before Darren Young hits the gut buster on Kofi Kingston, but Kofi would kick out. On the outside, Big E would get his hands on Darren Young, delivering a big belly-to-belly suplex on the steel floor of the Chamber! Back in the ring, Titus O’Neil would manage a powerslam on Big E but when Titus goes for the finishing touches on Kofi Kingston, Big E would grab the leg of Titus and, with both Big E & Xavier Woods holding Titus, Kofi would hit Trouble in Paradise on Titus before all three men jump on Titus O’Neil to secure the pinfall and successfully retain the WWE Tag Team Titles inside the Elimination Chamber. The Divas Championship would then be defended in a Triple Threat Match as Nikki Bella would defend the title against both Paige and Naomi with the first Diva to score a pinfall or submission would leave as the Divas Champion and, per the orders of The Authority, no one would be allowed at ringside. During the match, Nikki Bella would go for the Rack Attack, but Naomi would catch Nikki with the Rear View, but Paige would break up the pin. Shortly after this, Naomi would hit a reverse hurrincanrana on Paige, taking Paige out of the equation before Nikki Bella would hit the Rack Attack on Naomi, pinning Naomi to successfully retain the Divas Title. After the match, Brie Bella would join her sister in the ring as The Bella Twins celebrate Nikki’s hard-fought win. Then it was time for a battle between a proud, time-tested Superstar and a brash, aggressive up-and-comer as United States Champion John Cena would go one-on-one with NXT Champion Kevin Owens in a non-title, Champion vs. Champion match. During a hard-hitting match between two powerhouses, Kevin Owens would catch John Cena with the Pop-Up Powerbomb, but Cena would kick out and, after missing a moonsault on the United States Champion, Cena would take advantage, scoring with the Attitude Adjustment, but Owens would kick out! Both men would then manage to get back to their feet, brawling in the ring before Owens gains the advantage with a super kick to Cena. The NXT Champion would then mock his opponent by going for the Five Knuckle Shuffle, but Cena would catch Owens, locking Owens in the STF. Owens would survive the STF before even busting out his own Attitude Adjustment, but Cena would kick out. After hitting a big DDT on Owens, Cena would then climb to the top rope with the United States Champion hitting his signature leg drop, but Owens would again kick out. The NXT Champion would then score with a modified version of his package piledriver, converting the move into a slam, but Cena would kick out again! Clearly frustrated, Owens would pick Cena up, shouting at Cena to “stay down” and the two men would brawl again briefly before Cena hits the springboard Stunner on the NXT Champion, but Owens kicks out! The United States Champion then puts Kevin Owens on the top rope with the intent of delivering a superplex, but the NXT Champion would counter, hitting a modified superplex before coming off of the top rope with a big senton bomb, but Cena would kick out! Cena then mounts a comeback against Owens, but Owens would come out of nowhere with the Pop-Up Powerbomb, finally securing the three-count over the United States Champion, scoring the biggest win of his career over a fifteen-time former World Champion! After the match, an exhausted Kevin Owens would grab a microphone, saying that, now, everyone knows who Kevin Owens is. The NXT Champion then says that he is the man who “started a fight” with John Cena and he is the man who just “finished” the fight, saying that he’s got some “veteran advice” for John Cena, telling the United States Champion that it is time for him to “go” because Cena’s time is up and his time is “now”, declaring that the “champ is here”. After the reigning NXT Champion shocked the world by defeating John Cena, two former NXT Champions would square off at WWE Elimination Chamber as “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Neville would go one-on-one with Bo Dallas. In the end, it was Neville scoring with the Red Arrow, pinning Bo Dallas for the win. Backstage, WWE COO Triple H confronts Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, saying that he heard that Roman was going to be in Ambrose’s corner for his match against Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Title later in the evening. The COO says that it’s “admirable” and “refreshing” that Roman wants to be there for Ambrose, but Reigns does not have the “authority” to just involve himself in a WWE World Heavyweight Title match, saying that Kane is going to be ringside in an “official capacity”. Triple H continues, saying that Roman would just be a “disruption” and he cannot allow that, saying that, if Reigns gets involved in the match in any way, then Ambrose will be disqualified. Then it was time to determine a brand new Intercontinental Champion as, after Daniel Bryan relinquished the Intercontinental Championship due to injury a few weeks ago, the demonic Elimination Chamber would provide the opportunity for one Superstar to add his name to an elite list of competitors to win the Intercontinental Title as “The Big Guy” Ryback, “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus, R-Truth, 2015 King of the Ring winner King Barrett, “The Showoff” Dolph Ziggler, and, replacing the injured Rusev in the match, “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry would wage war inside the steel for the prestigious championship! The rules of the Elimination Chamber Match are that two randomly selected Superstars will start the match with the other four competitors being locked inside the four pods and, every four minutes, a new Superstar will be released into the match. This will continue until all six Superstars have entered the match with elimination occurring by either pinfall or submission with the last man remaining being declared the new Intercontinental Champion. Ryback, Sheamus, R-Truth, & Mark Henry would all be locked inside their pods, meaning that King Barrett and Dolph Ziggler would kick off the Elimination Chamber Match. With the two former champions battling each other on the outside, King Barrett would take Dolph Ziggler out before R-Truth is released from his pod. However, Barrett would not even let Truth out of the pod before jumping in and beating Truth down before dragging R-Truth out and tossing him face-first into the steel chain of the Chamber. The 2015 King of the Ring would continue to dominate the match, sending Dolph Ziggler face-first into the steel ring post before R-Truth mounts a comeback against Barrett, hitting the Scissors Kick before Barrett is able to come back with a side slam. Dolph then tries to re-assert himself in the match, but is blasted with a kick to the face by King Barrett before Barrett brings Dolph to the outside, sending “The Showoff” face-first into Mark Henry’s pod, breaking the pod open! After a moment of confusion and discussion between Mark Henry and the referee, the referee would throw his hands up, saying that there’s nothing he can do about Mark Henry entering the match since there are no disqualifications! With that, Mark Henry is allowed to officially enter the match early, immediately targeting King Barrett before the four minute interval expires and Ryback enters the match. Later on in the match, Dolph Ziggler would catch King Barrett with a super kick and Ryback would deliver Snake Eyes to Barrett and, finally, R-Truth would hit the Lie Detector on King Barrett, pinning Barrett to eliminate the King of the Ring winner from the match. Ryback, R-Truth, Mark Henry, & Dolph Ziggler would then get back to their feet with a standoff taking place between the four men before an all-out brawl ensues. In the middle of the melee, the countdown clock would reach zero and Sheamus was scheduled to enter the match, but some sort of malfunction with his pod would keep “The Celtic Warrior” locked in! With officials trying their best to get Sheamus out his pod, the match would continue with Ryback gaining the advantage in the match, planting R-Truth with Shell Shocked, pinning R-Truth to eliminate Truth from the match. Ryback then turns his attention to Dolph Ziggler, but when Dolph takes Ryback down with a super kick, all three men would be down in the ring. It was then revealed that Sheamus had used his Celtic Cross necklace to intentionally jam his pod’s door and keep himself in the match until a good opportunity presented itself that “The Celtic Warrior” could capitalize on. Sheamus would do just that, picking up Dolph Ziggler and throwing him into the wall of his pod before coming face-to-face with Mark Henry, who uses his strength to overwhelm Sheamus, but a rake to the eyes by Sheamus would allow “The Celtic Warrior” to score with the Brogue Kick, pinning Mark Henry to eliminate “The World’s Strongest Man” from the match, leaving three men in the match. Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler would then square off and, while “The Showoff” would hit the Famouser, Sheamus would catch Dolph with the Brogue Kick, pinning Ziggler to eliminate “The Showoff” from the match, leaving Sheamus and Ryback to battle for the prestigious Intercontinental Championship. The war between these two powerhouses would find its way to the outside and Sheamus would take full advantage of his surroundings, planting Ryback with White Noise on the steel floor! Sheamus would then follow this up with a rolling senton on the opposite side of the ring, again squashing Ryback on the steel floor! Somehow, Ryback would fight back, tossing Sheamus into the ring before picking “The Celtic Warrior” up, dropping Sheamus with Shell Shocked, pinning Sheamus to win the match and win the first singles title and the first Intercontinental Championship of his career! After the match, the Elimination Chamber would rise and Daniel Bryan would enter the ring to present Ryback with the Intercontinental Championship. Before handing over the title, Daniel Bryan fires the crowd up, asking if they think that Ryback “deserves” it before leading the crowd in a “yes” chant and handing the Intercontinental Title over to its new owner, Ryback, who shakes hands with Daniel Bryan. Ryback then says that Bryan is an “inspiration” before handing the microphone back to Daniel Bryan. Ryback then shares his moment with Daniel Bryan before Bryan makes an honorable exit from the ring, letting the new Intercontinental Champion fully soak in his victory. It was announced during WWE Elimination Chamber that, in two weeks at WWE Money-in-the-Bank, United States Champion John Cena will face off with NXT Champion Kevin Owens one more time in a rematch that is sure to steal the show. In addition, six of the competitors in this year’s Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match were announced as Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Neville, Dolph Ziggler, and WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston will be competing for a guaranteed shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for an entire year. Then it was time for the main event as Seth Rollins would defend WWE’s top prize against a man who’s career he has tried to destroy and sweep under the rug as Seth Rollins, with Director of Operations Kane and J&J Security in his corner, would defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose with Roman Reigns banned from ringside. During the title match, things would remain fairly tame for the most part, but once Dean Ambrose brings Seth Rollins to the outside, that would all change as “The Lunatic Fringe” dives out of the ring at the champion, sending both men over the announce table. Back in the ring, Seth Rollins would try to use the ropes for the illegal advantage to try and pin Ambrose, but the referee would spot it. Ambrose would then shove Rollins into Joey Mercury on the ring apron, attempting a roll-up before the champion rebounds with a kick to the face of “The Lunatic Fringe”. Shortly after this, Ambrose would take advantage, taking himself and Rollins to the outside, but a distraction from J&J Security would allow Rollins to score with a powerbomb to Ambrose into the ringside barricade. The champion then brings Ambrose back into the ring, hitting Ambrose with a knee to the head off of the top rope, but “The Lunatic Fringe” would kick out. Later on in the match, Seth Rollins would hit the turnbuckle powerbomb on Dean Ambrose, but Ambrose would fight back with a clothesline to the champion. Then, after knocking Kane and J&J Security off of the ring apron, “The Lunatic Fringe” would come off of the top rope, diving to the outside and taking out the three men. Ambrose then climbs back to the top rope and Ambrose would come off of the top rope, but Rollins would pull the referee in front of him and the official would take an inadvertent shot to the head from Ambrose, taking the referee out. Shortly after this, Dean Ambrose would spike Seth Rollins with Dirty Deeds, going for the pin and, with the referee out of it, another referee would rush down to the ring, counting the three-count as Dean Ambrose wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship! The brand new WWE World Heavyweight Champion then celebrates the biggest win of his career as Seth Rollins and company try to regroup on the outside. However, the original referee comes into the ring, arguing with the replacement referee. This leads to the replacement referee making the decision that, because Seth Rollins put his hands on the original referee, Ambrose won the match by disqualification and, as a result, Seth Rollins is still the WWE World Heavyweight Champion! Dean Ambrose would look on in complete shock at this questionable decision before Seth Rollins, Kane and J&J Security surround the ring, climbing into the ring and beating down Ambrose as Rollins wrenches the title belt away from Ambrose. However, Roman Reigns would make the save and, with J&J Security expecting Reigns to come in through the crowd, Roman would outsmart The Authority by coming down the entrance ramp, blasting Seth Rollins with the Superman Punch! Reigns then enters the ring, taking Kane down with the Spear before taking both members of J&J Security down with the Superman Punch before Ambrose sends Seth Rollins over the top rope to the outside. “The Lunatic Fringe” then picks up the WWE World Heavyweight Title belt, saying that he won the match so he is taking the title belt with him! With that, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns exit through the crowd with Ambrose walking off with Seth Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Title belt! What did you think of WWE Elimination Chamber?
