WWE RAW Results: May 25, 2015By Cassidy| May 27, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results Before their centerpiece, Seth Rollins, defends the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Dean Ambrose this Sunday at WWE Elimination Chamber, RAW kicks off with The Authority as WWE COO Triple H, WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon, Director of Operations Kane, J&J Security, and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins make their way to the ring. The champion says that Dean Ambrose “extorted” his way to getting a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Title, saying that Ambrose does not “deserve” a title shot and, based on his actions, The Authority could take Ambrose’s title shot away and even fire Ambrose. Rollins then reveals that he has asked Triple H & Stephanie to not punish Ambrose for his actions, saying that Ambrose is not even a “threat” to him. Triple H says that, while they have a “verbal agreement”, he is going to need Dean Ambrose to come down and sign his name to a contract in order to get his title shot. This brings Dean Ambrose out to the stage, who says that beating up Seth Rollins makes him “happy”, but now he wants do it with the title on the line. Ambrose then says that, after WWE Elimination Chamber, he will be the “new face of WWE”. Rollins responds by saying that Ambrose wants to be like Rollins, saying that, if Ambrose has the guts to come down to the ring and sign the contract, then he will make sure that he is scraping Ambrose’s teeth off the bottom of his boot come this Sunday. Ambrose then says that it might be “crazy” and it might be “stupid” to come down to the ring, but it might also be worth it, saying that there is only one way to find out. With that, Dean Ambrose makes his way to ringside before his plan is revealed as Roman Reigns comes out to stand side-by-side with Ambrose. Stephanie McMahon then speaks up, saying that Ambrose has until the end of the night to sign the contract, announcing that, right now, Ambrose will be in action as “The Lunatic Fringe” will team with Roman Reigns to face Director of Operations Kane and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Per the orders of The Authority, the opening match of the night would see “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose team with Roman Reigns to face WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Director of Operations Kane, with J&J Security in their corner. In the end, it was Dean Ambrose catching Seth Rollins with a backslide, scoring the three-count, pinning the WWE World Heavyweight Champion for the win. Backstage, J&J Security interrupt Dean Ambrose’s interview to taunt Ambrose about the title contract he has to sign. However, “The Lunatic Fringe” responds by unloading on J&J Security, accidentally striking a cameraman as J&J Security escapes before Ambrose checks on the cameraman. Six nights before he is one of six participants in the Elimination Chamber Match for the vacant Intercontinental Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber, Rusev was in action on RAW as, now realigned with his homeland of Bulgaria, “The Bulgarian Brute” would go one-on-one with fellow Elimination Chamber Match participant R-Truth. At the end of a quick match, it was Rusev locking in the Accolade, making R-Truth tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Rusev would initially demand Lana’s presence before lowering his tone and even asking Lana to “please” come down to the ring. After some pleading from Rusev, Lana would come down to the ring, saying that Rusev asked her to come down to the ring and now she is there, waiting to hear what Rusev has to say. Rusev says that, despite Lana costing him his match at WrestleMania and Payback and despite Lana kissing Dolph Ziggler twice last week, he knows why Lana is doing all of this, saying that women do those kind of things for “attention”. Rusev then says that he knows that Lana wants to “crush” America just as bad as he does, saying they can still make their dreams happen. Rusev continues, saying that all Lana has to do is take Rusev’s hand and “all will be forgotten”, saying they can still make America fall to its knees before Rusev and his “ravishing” Lana. After thinking it over, Lana would take the hand of Rusev, re-cementing their relationship. Rusev then says that all he needs to hear from her now are those “three magical words”, but it was not “I love you” that Rusev wanted to hear, it was “I was wrong”! This changes the look on Lana’s face as Lana rips her hand away from Rusev’s before walking out on Rusev. Meanwhile, Rusev says that all that Lana has to do is admit that it was all her “fault” and Lana responds by saying that she was not wrong because Rusev said “I Quit” at Payback. Rusev yells that Lana is a “liar” and that he would never quit, saying that he tried to be “nice” to Lana, but she needs to learn her “place”! Rusev continues, screaming that he “owns” Lana and that Lana belongs to him, shouting at Lana to get back into the ring. Lana gets back into the ring, but “The Ravishing Russian” shows no fear, telling Rusev “no” before saying that Rusev is a “liar” and a “quitter”! Lana then says that Rusev is so “cowardly” that he cannot even take responsibility for his own actions. Lana continues, saying that Rusev does not own her and she does not belong to anyone, saying that she is no longer Rusev’s “victim” and she is no longer going to listen to Rusev’s “caveman, thickheaded, moronic mouth” again! Lana then exits the ring with her head held high as Rusev is furious in the ring. Dolph Ziggler then joins Lana on the stage as the two share a kiss right in front of Rusev! As Lana & Dolph stand smiling on the stage, Rusev is beside himself in the ring. Backstage, WWE COO Triple H and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins confront Dean Ambrose in his locker room. Ambrose assumes that they are there to get Ambrose to sign the contract for the title match at WWE Elimination Chamber, but Triple H says that there is nothing “fun” about what is about to happen to him. The cameraman who was accidentally attacked by Dean Ambrose earlier in the night then enters the room with two suited individuals. Triple H asks the cameraman if Ambrose is the one who assaulted him. The cameraman tries to say that he thinks someone shoved him into Ambrose, but Seth Rollins cuts the cameraman off, intimidating the cameraman into admitting that Ambrose is the one who assaulted him. The two suited gentlemen are then revealed as police officers and, while one officer handcuffs Ambrose, the other one reads him his Miranda Rights. As Ambrose comments that it looks like they are going to do this the “fun way”, Triple H and Seth Rollins are grinning from ear-to-ear. Ambrose is then loaded into a police wagon as Seth Rollins, Kane, and J&J Security taunt “The Lunatic Fringe” before laughing about the situation. Before they are two of the six participants in the Elimination Chamber Match for the vacant Intercontinental Championship this Sunday at WWE Elimination Chamber, “The Big Guy” Ryback would go one-on-one with 2015 King of the Ring winner King Barrett. Throughout the match, King Barrett would target the injured ribs of Ryback, but “The Big Guy” was able to endure the punishment, hitting Shell Shocked and pinning Barrett for the win. Backstage, the cast of the upcoming movie “Entourage” greets Triple H & Stephanie McMahon in their office as the two sides talk about the movie and Dean Ambrose getting arrested before things get awkward once Ronda Rousey’s confrontation with Stephanie at WrestleMania is brought up. The smiles are quick to disappear from Triple H & Stephanie’s faces and Stephanie directs the four actors to their dressing room. “The Man That Gravity Forgot” was in action on RAW as Neville went one-on-one with Stardust. During the match, Neville’s WWE Elimination Chamber opponent Bo Dallas makes his way to ringside. In the end, it was Neville hitting the Red Arrow, pinning Stardust for the win. After the match, Bo Dallas would enter the ring, telling Neville that the high flyer can stand up as long as he “bo-lieves”. Infuriated, Neville would hop to his feet, but Bo Dallas would cheap-shot the injured knee of Neville before taking a victory lap around the ring. Backstage, the cast of “Entourage” meets up with some of the WWE Divas before Long Island’s own Zack Ryder pulls the actors into their dressing room for some sort of secret plan. Six nights before they take part in the Elimination Chamber Match for the vacant Intercontinental Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber, RAW would see “The Showoff” Dolph Ziggler going one-on-one with a familiar rival in “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus. During the match, Lana makes her way out to the stage to watch her new love interest in action. Later on in the match, Rusev would walk right past Lana, smiling deviously at Lana before making his way to ringside. Dolph Ziggler would see Rusev coming and “The Showoff” would catch Rusev with a super kick, knocking “The Bulgarian Brute” off of the ring apron. However, Dolph would then turn around right into a Brogue Kick from Sheamus as Sheamus pins Ziggler for the win. After the match, Sheamus and Rusev would have a brief stare-down before “The Celtic Warrior” leaves Rusev to carry out his destruction. Not taking his eyes off of Lana, Rusev would assault an already weakened Dolph Ziggler before locking in the Accolade on “The Showoff” right in front of Lana, screaming at Lana to “kiss him now”. The referee is finally able to get Rusev to break the hold before Rusev exits the ring, again screaming at Lana to “kiss him now”. With a match against the bold and outspoken NXT Champion Kevin Owens awaiting him this Sunday at WWE Elimination Chamber, United States Champion John Cena would be on RAW for the U.S. Open Challenge. Cena says that there are those out there who fight “with” him and those who fight “against” him, saying that, together, they have shared the “agony of defeat” and the “triumph of victory”, but more importantly, they have developed a “family”. Cena continues, thanking all of his supporters for their unwavering support before addressing his detractors, saying that they have been hoping for years that someone will be able to take Cena down. Cena says that a lot of “hopefuls” have been put in his path over the years and, last week, the latest hopeful, Kevin Owens, made his RAW debut and left Cena lying. Cena then says that, this Sunday at WWE Elimination Chamber, the fans can chant “fight Owens fight” but that does not mean “win Owens win”, saying that Owens knows how to start a fight, but they will find out this Sunday if he can “finish one”. The United States Champion then says that, since it is Memorial Day, it makes him feel honored to be able to defend the United States Title in the U.S. Open Challenge, asking for his challenger. However, the cast of “Entourage” comes out, saying that they are out there to introduce a Superstar who is ready to take Cena up on his U.S. Open Challenge before introducing Long Island’s own Zack Ryder! With the cast of “Entourage” seated at ringside, the match would get underway as John Cena defends the United States Championship against Zack Ryder. During the match, one of the cast members would enter the ring to distract John Cena, nearly getting himself punched in the process with Zack Ryder nearly winning the match with a roll-up. Later on in the match, Zack Ryder would pull a 450 Splash out of his arsenal, but Cena would move out of the way, following it up with the Attitude Adjustment, pinning Ryder to successfully retain the United States Championship. After the match, John Cena would help Zack Ryder to his feet before the cast of “Entourage” join Cena and Ryder as all six men stand tall together in the ring on WWE’s final night in the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Zack Ryder and the cast of “Entourage” then leave the ring to let Cena celebrate his victory. However, this would provide the perfect opportunity for an ambush from the NXT Champion as Kevin Owens blindsides John Cena, again leaving the United States Champion laid out following the Pop-Up Powerbomb before again stomping his foot on the United States Title belt, disrespecting the legendary championship. Before she, along with Naomi, challenge Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship in a Triple Threat Match at WWE Elimination Chamber, Paige was in action on RAW as “The Diva of Tomorrow” went one-on-one with Tamina, with Naomi in her corner, and The Bella Twins guests on commentary. In the end, it was Naomi getting involved, allowing Tamina to score with the Samoan Drop, pinning Paige for the win. Before they defend the gold in the first ever WWE Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber Match at WWE Elimination Chamber, WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day would make an appearance on RAW, complaining about the unfairness of having to defend their titles against five other teams. Director of Operations Kane would come out to the stage, saying that it seems completely fair to him, pointing out that every team in the Elimination Chamber Match, including The New Day, have an equal chance to walk out as the WWE Tag Team Champions. Kane continues, saying that their match tonight will certainly be “unfair” before putting The New Day in an impromptu match against Cesaro & Tyson Kidd, The Prime Time Players, Los Matadores, The Ascension, & The Lucha Dragons in a 10-on-3 Handicap Match! However, the match would be short-lived once Xavier Woods would start taunting the opposing team, which sparks a massive brawl between the six tag teams that ends with The Lucha Dragons launching themselves onto four of the teams on the outside. This would seemingly leave The New Day as the ones standing tall, but Tyson Kidd had other plans as he delivers a dropkick to Big E that takes out both Big E and Kofi Kingston. This leaves Xavier Woods in the ring alone with Cesaro & Tyson Kidd as Cesaro spins Xavier around with the Cesaro Swing, swinging Xavier right into a dropkick from Tyson Kidd, leaving Cesaro & Tyson Kidd standing tall as the dominant team. After a video uploaded to YouTube revealed that Seth Rollins shoved the cameraman into Dean Ambrose, leading to Ambrose punching the cameraman and getting arrested earlier in the night, The Authority would have a different demeanor as WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, WWE COO Triple H, WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon, J&J Security, and Director of Operations Kane all make their way to the ring. The champion is quick to try and bury the video evidence, saying that the video does not matter because Dean Ambrose still assaulted a cameraman and was “justifiably arrested” earlier in the night. Stephanie then adds that the cameraman is a father of “newborn triplets” and their goal is to create a “kind, supportive environment” in WWE, saying that their legal counsel has advised them against speaking any further on the situation. Triple H then says that Dean Ambrose’s unhinged thought process led him to assault a cameraman and it was that same mentality that ended up costing Ambrose his shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The COO is then about to announce that Dean Ambrose will no longer be challenging Seth Rollins for the title at WWE Elimination Chamber, but The Authority is interrupted by the arrival of Roman Reigns. However, Roman was not in the mood for talking as Reigns rushes the ring, attacking Seth Rollins before Kane and J&J Security gets involved and the four-on-one advantage would overwhelm Roman Reigns. Reigns would make a brief comeback before Kane catches Roman with a chokeslam, but just when it looked like The Authority was going to put the finishing touches on Roman Reigns, a police van drives into the arena and next to the staging area before the driver is revealed to be none other than Dean Ambrose! With two nightsticks in his possession, Ambrose would make a beeline to the ring, using the nightsticks to take out Kane and J&J Security. Seth Rollins then tries to catch Ambrose from behind, but the WWE World Heavyweight Champion would find himself in between Ambrose and Reigns, both wielding nightsticks. Ambrose & Reigns would deliver nightstick shots to the mid-section of the champion before Kane and J&J Security get involved again. This time, Roman Reigns takes out both members of J&J Security with the Spear before Kane tosses Reigns to the outside, but when Kane tries to follow Reigns to the outside, Roman catches the Director of Operations with the Superman Punch. Dean Ambrose then hooks Kane and plants him with Dirty Deeds in the middle of the ring. Ambrose then stares down Seth Rollins before Roman Reigns brings the title contract to “The Lunatic Fringe” and Dean Ambrose signs the contract, making the title match at WWE Elimination Chamber official as Ambrose & Reigns stand tall in the ring, again thwarting the plans of The Authority.
