WWE SmackDown Results: April 2, 2015By Cassidy| April 4, 2015 WWE SmackDown New Look, New Attitude. Four nights after a historic WrestleMania, the 815th edition of WWE Thursday Night SmackDown came to you from the Save Mart Center at Fresno State in Fresno, CA. At WrestleMania, Daniel Bryan survived a seven-man Ladder Match against Dean Ambrose, R-Truth, Luke Harper, Stardust, Dolph Ziggler, and then champion Bad News Barrett to become the brand new Intercontinental Champion on “The Grandest Stage of Them All”. One night later on RAW, Daniel Bryan proved himself to be a fighting champion, putting the Intercontinental Title on the line against Dolph Ziggler in an incredible match that saw Daniel Bryan get the eventual victory, successfully retaining the Intercontinental Championship. However, the bigger story would come after the match when the returning Sheamus would inexplicably attack both Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler, leveling both Superstars with the Brogue Kick. Now on SmackDown, the new Intercontinental Champion, Daniel Bryan, would go one-on-one with “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus. Match Results Randy Orton def. Big Show (with Seth Rollins, Kane, and J&J Security) by DQ after Kane and J&J Security interfere. Naomi def. Natalya by pin following a headscissors DDT. The Miz def. R-Truth by pin following the Skull Crushing Finale. Dean Ambrose and Luke Harper fight to a No Contest after Luke Harper puts Dean Ambrose through the announce table. Non-Title: Sheamus (with Bad News Barrett) def. Daniel Bryan by count-out. See page 2 for detailed results.
