WWE RAW Results: April 13, 2015By Cassidy| April 16, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results With Michael Cole back on commentary with JBL and Booker T after a two week absence due to injuries sustained in an attack by Brock Lesnar, RAW in London kicks off with the United States Champion John Cena. After commenting on the raucous UK crowd, John Cena says that they need to have WrestleMania in London, but the powers that be have decided that London can “wait”. Cena then says that the fans don’t want to listen to him talk all night, calling his opponent out to face him in the U.S. Open Challenge. The man who answers the challenge is undoubtedly a fan favorite in the UK as England’s own Bad News Barrett comes out to a huge reception from the crowd. Barrett asks why he should wait to beat Daniel Bryan for the Intercontinental Championship at Extreme Rules when he can just beat John Cena for the United States Championship here tonight in front of the “greatest country” in the world! As the U.S. Open Challenge comes to the UK, the opening match of the night would see John Cena defend the United States Championship against England’s own Bad News Barrett. In an incredible match, Bad News Barrett would impress in front of his fellow Englishmen, throwing nearly everything he has at John Cena and even kicking out after Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment, but Cena would prove just as resilient, kicking out after the Bull Hammer Elbow from Barrett! Barrett would then look for a second Bull Hammer Elbow, but John Cena would counter, hitting the springboard stunner and following it up with a second Attitude Adjustment, pinning Barrett to successfully retain the United States Title in a hard-fought match. After the match, Lana would come out to the stage, keeping Cena’s attention long enough for Rusev to enter the ring unnoticed as Rusev blasts Cena in the face with a steel chain! As Rusev stands over Cena with the chain in hand, Lana informs the barely conscious United States Champion that The Authority has decided that the United States Title match between John Cena and Rusev at Extreme Rules will now be a Russian Chain Match! Rusev then picks up the United States Title belt, holding the belt and the chain high over his head as the Russian flag hangs overhead. With Divas Champion Nikki Bella and her sister Brie guests on commentary, RAW would be home to a #1 Contender’s Divas Battle Royal as Natalya, Naomi, Alicia Fox, Emma, Cameron, Rosa Mendes, Summer Rae, and UK native Paige would all compete with the winner challenging Nikki Bella for the Divas Title at Extreme Rules. The first two Divas to get eliminated from the match are Summer Rae and Natalya, who are eliminated by Rosa Mendes before Emma sends Rosa to the outside. Alicia Fox would then eliminate Emma, leaving four Divas in the Battle Royal. Naomi then hits both Cameron and Alicia Fox with the Rear View before Naomi tosses Cameron out and Paige eliminates Alicia Fox, leaving only Naomi and Paige in the match. In the end, it was Paige getting the better of Naomi, eliminating Naomi to become the new #1 Contender for the Divas Title with a match for the Divas Title against Nikki Bella at Extreme Rules! After outlasting seven other Divas to become the new #1 Contender for the Divas Championship at Extreme Rules, Paige would comment on her victory in front of her home country fans. Paige reminds everyone that she won the Divas Championship on her first night on RAW and, two weeks ago, she teamed with AJ Lee to defeat The Bella Twins in her first WrestleMania. Paige continues, saying that “nothing feels better” than becoming the new #1 Contender in her home country, saying that she started in England getting paid five pounds to wrestle a match at carnivals and in high schools with a dream of someday making it to WWE. Paige then proclaims that “this is my house” before Paige is asked to comment on Nikki Bella. However, before she can address her Extreme Rules opponent, Paige is inexplicably tackled by Naomi! Naomi hammers away at Paige before the fight spills to the outside as Naomi continues to pummel Paige, repeatedly hurling Paige into the ringside barricade, slapping Paige before tossing her into the barricade one more time. The referee then rushes over to break things up as Naomi finally stops the assault, leaving Paige visibly hurting at ringside. Bray Wyatt would then make an eerie appearance in the darkness, saying that “love can be blinding” and “love” can cost you “everything”. Again addressing an unknown person, Bray says that he is going to “rip” the “love” out of this person and he will fill the “void” that is left over with “fear”. Wyatt continues, saying that “fear” is stronger than any “love”, asking what this person will do when the “one thing” that they cannot live without is taken away from them. Bray then says that he is doing this person is a “favor”, saying “I’m talking to you” before concluding with “behold the new face of fear”. In tag team action, two tag teams who were very familiar with each other during their time in NXT would face off as the popular Lucha Dragons would face The Ascension. In the end, it was Kalisto hitting the Salida del Sol on Viktor, followed up by Sin Cara’s Swanton Bomb as Sin Cara pins Viktor to pick up the win for the Lucha Dragons. For the first time since Seth Rollins cashed in his Money-in-the-Bank briefcase in the middle of a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania where Rollins ultimately pinned Reigns to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns would comment on that fateful night in an in-ring interview with Booker T. Booker would first ask Roman Reigns about his mental state after WrestleMania with Roman saying that he is mentally “strong”, saying that he and Brock Lesnar gave them a “brutal fight” at WrestleMania. Roman continues, saying that he told the world that he could have beat Brock Lesnar and he would have if it hadn’t been for Seth Rollins. Reigns then says that Rollins did what he “had to do” and “capitalized” on the moment, saying that Rollins took Roman’s moment and, someday, he will be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Booker then comments on Big Show costing Roman Reigns the #1 Contender’s spot last week with Roman saying that he wishes that he could say that Big Show is the “greatest giant of all-time”, but lately he has become Rollins’ “giant bitch”! This prompts “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show to appear on the big screen, saying that while Roman Reigns was losing the “biggest match” of Roman’s life, he was winning the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, making him the “greatest giant in history”. Big Show continues, saying that Roman is “potential that never will be” before saying that he does “what he wants, when he wants” and his “pleasure” will be making Roman Reigns the “most epic failure in history”. Big Show then says that every time that Roman Reigns tries to get up, he is going to be there waiting to knock Roman down again. Roman responds by saying that there are two types of guys in WWE, the types of guys that come to the ring and fight and the ones who are a “giant sellout” who are either too “lazy” or don’t have the “balls” to come out there and say what he has to say to his face. Reigns says that, if Big Show continues to stick his nose in Roman’s business, he is going to shove that Andre The Giant Memorial Trophy down Big Show’s throat and “retire” him, telling Big Show to “believe that”. Roman Reigns would then exit the ring, but when Roman makes it to the stage, he is ambushed by Big Show as Big Show tosses Reigns into the LED board before hurling Roman into the side of the taxi cab parked on the stage. Big Show then picks Roman up, again tossing Reigns into the side of the taxi cab before delivering a knee to Roman, sandwiching Reigns’ skull between Big Show’s giant knee and the door of the taxi cab. “The World’s Largest Athlete” then puts Roman Reigns on the roof of the taxi cab before climbing up the roof, picking Reigns up, and drilling Roman with a chokeslam on the roof of the vehicle, nearly caving the roof of the taxi cab in with the force of the chokeslam! Before he challenges Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in two weeks at Extreme Rules, Randy Orton was in action on RAW as “The Viper” would go one-on-one with one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Cesaro, with Tyson Kidd & Natalya in his corner, and, if Orton emerges victorious, he gets to pick the stipulation for the title match at Extreme Rules. During the match, Randy Orton would find himself on the ring apron and Tyson Kidd would get involved, pulling Orton off of the ring apron only for “The Viper” to take Kidd down with a clothesline. However, the referee would spot Tyson Kidd’s interference and would call for the bell, giving Randy Orton the win by disqualification. After the match, The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane says that Triple H & Stephanie McMahon have finished their vacation, but they have opted not to come to London and that leaves Kane in charge again. The Director of Operations then says that he is “fair and impartial” to each and every employee and with the stipulation for the WWE World Heavyweight Title match at Extreme Rules on the line, he cannot allow the match to end by disqualification. Kane then says that he is going to make everything “right” by restarting the match as a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against both WWE Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Tyson Kidd! Despite defeating Cesaro by disqualification moments earlier, Randy Orton would be forced into a 2-on-1 Handicap Match as, per the orders of Kane, “The Viper” would face WWE Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Tyson Kidd, with Natalya in their corner. In the end, it was Randy Orton catching Tyson Kidd with an extraordinary RKO in mid-air, pinning Kidd to overcome the odds and win the 2-on-1 Handicap Match and, as a result of the victory, Randy Orton is guaranteed at least one stipulation of his choosing for the WWE World Heavyweight Title match at Extreme Rules. Backstage, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins sarcastically asks Director of Operations Kane if he has any more “bright ideas” and Kane suggests that Rollins beat Dolph Ziggler in his match tonight and both he and Randy Orton get to pick an Extreme Rules stipulation. However, the champion has an idea of his own, saying that they cannot take any chances, so he is not going to face Dolph Ziggler tonight, he is going to face J&J Security’s Jamie Noble! Rollins says that Noble will “lay down” and let Rollins pin Noble, but Noble takes issue with this, asking why he has to lay down for Rollins when it was Kane who made the #1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match last week. Noble also adds that it was Kane’s idea to potentially let Randy Orton choose the Extreme Rules stipulation. Having heard enough, Kane says that he is having another idea, saying that the idea involves a “car battery” and Jamie Noble’s testicles! The champion admits that everything that has happened is Kane’s fault, but Kane says he will protect Seth Rollins like he always does, asking if Rollins is “afraid” of Dolph Ziggler. Rollins laughs at Kane’s accusation, saying that he is not afraid of Dolph Ziggler, but he has to win tonight, so he needs Kane to change his opponent tonight. Rollins then says that he needs someone he can beat with his “eyes closed” and he needs to face someone who knows what is “best for business”. The Director of Operations asks if Rollins is implying that he should be the one to lay down and let Rollins win tonight. Rollins says that he’s not implying anything, he’s saying that The Authority’s top “priority” is protecting Rollins and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, so if that’s what needs to be done, then maybe Kane is the man for the job. Rollins then suggests that they call Triple H and ask what he thinks of the idea before a visibly angry and disgusted Kane exits, leaving a smug Seth Rollins, who tells J&J Security that Kane knows that he has “no choice”. Dean Ambrose was in action on RAW as “The Lunatic Fringe” would go one-on-one with Adam Rose. In the end, it was Dean Ambrose spiking Adam Rose with Dirty Deeds, pinning Rose for the win. Backstage, Kane is finishing up a phone call before he is confronted by Big Show, who explains to Kane that he sees The Authority as the “winning” side, but if Seth Rollins loses tonight, then Extreme Rules may very well see Randy Orton being crowned the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Big Show then pleads with Kane to do what’s best for The Authority and “lay down” for Seth Rollins in their match. Kane tells Big Show that he will do what is “best for business” and Big Show pats Kane on the back before walking away. Two bizarre Superstars would square off on RAW as Fandango, with Rosa Mendes in his corner, went one-on-one with Stardust. In the end, it was Stardust catching Fandango with the Disaster Kick, pinning Fandango for the win. Following the loss, Fandango would grab a microphone, saying that he’s realized what the problem is. Fandango then exits the ring, saying that he’s been sharing his “gift of dance” with Rosa Mendes when he should be sharing it with the “entire world”. Now standing on the Spanish announce table, Fandango’s old theme music hits as Fandango leads the crowd in “Fandangoing”! Backstage, Kane is confronted by Daniel Bryan, who asks what has happened to the Director of Operations before saying that Kane is really going to go out there and lay down for Seth Rollins. Bryan then brings up the infamous “Finger Poke of Doom” incident from WCW, saying that Kane thinks that what is “best for business” is emulating an incident that was one of the things that put WCW out of business. Bryan continues, saying that the Kane he knows would go out there and tombstone Seth Rollins on the steel steps, saying that he’s not even angry, he just “feels sorry” for Kane. This lights a fire under Kane, who screams at Daniel Bryan to “leave” and Bryan agrees, but not before telling Kane that, if he has any ounce of “pride”, then he will go out there and be a “man”, not a “stooge”. With the opportunity to name a stipulation in his WWE World Heavyweight Title defense against Randy Orton at Extreme Rules on the line, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, with J&J Security in his corner, would face The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane with Kane expected to just lay down and let Rollins pin him. The champion and his security team would come out first, standing in the ring and applauding Kane on his way to the ring as the Director of Operations comes out in suit and tie, clearly not intending to do anything more than what is expected of him. The bell would ring, but Kane would not lay down, instead removing his jacket, tie, and shirt before getting in the face of Seth Rollins. However, Kane then gets down on one knee before sitting down and begrudgingly laying down in the middle of the ring, but when Seth Rollins goes for the pin on Kane, Kane kicks out after a two-count! J&J Security then enter the ring, taking issue with Kane’s decision and explaining to Kane what he is expected to do. Kane then grabs Noble and Mercury by the throat, but instead throws the security team down before Seth Rollins screams at Kane, but when the champion puts his hands on Kane, the Director of Operations pops Rollins with an uppercut! Kane then stalks Seth Rollins, ready to deliver a chokeslam to the champion as Rollins tries to calm Kane down, telling Kane to think about his job and pleading with the Director of Operations to rethink his actions. Kane then lowers his hand and his demeanor changes as he contemplates his next move, all the while Rollins is back on his feet, telling Kane to “lay down”. With Seth Rollins screaming in his face, Kane gets down on one knee before the Director of Operations’ pride takes over as Kane grabs Seth Rollins by the throat, delivering a big chokeslam to the WWE World Heavyweight Champion! Kane then starts to signal for the Tombstone Piledriver, but Kane’s inner struggle begins again and, in a surprising and somewhat disappointing move, Kane lays next to Seth Rollins in the middle of the ring, draping Rollins arm over himself and letting the referee count to three, doing what he believes is “best for business” by laying down and letting Rollins defeat him. Kane then angrily exits the ring, clearly frustrated and disappointed in what he just did, leaving the ‘winner’ in the ring as Seth Rollins will also get to pick a stipulation for the WWE World Heavyweight Title match against Randy Orton at Extreme Rules. After Damien Mizdow crashed Miz TV on SmackDown, attacking The Miz and planting a kiss on Summer Rae, the rivalry between the former tag team partners would continue on RAW as Damien Mizdow, with The Miz’s Marine 4 co-star Summer Rae in his corner, would go one-on-one with the self-proclaimed “A-Lister” The Miz. In a quick match, Damien Mizdow would get a measure of revenge for last week as Mizdow rolls Miz up, hooking the tights to pick up the win. Damien Mizdow & Summer Rae then celebrate with the fans, leaving a livid Miz in the ring. Ryback was in action on RAW as “The Big Guy” would collide with the unusual and unpredictable Luke Harper. During a hard-hitting match, Ryback would set Luke Harper up for the Meat Hook Clothesline, but Luke Harper would roll out of the ring to dodge the move. Harper would then inexplicably remove the hood of the announce table, hitting Ryback with it, ending the match by disqualification. Luke Harper would then slide back into the ring before Dean Ambrose rushes out, looking for revenge on Harper for Harper putting him through the announce table a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown. Ambrose gets a few shots in on Harper before Harper shoves Ambrose away, exiting the ring and walking out through the crowd, leaving an angry Dean Ambrose in the ring. After he was originally scheduled to face WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins before the match was changed by Director of Operations Kane, “The Show-Off” Dolph Ziggler would appear on RAW, ready to compete. Dolph says that, if Kane thinks that laying down for Seth Rollins is what is “best for business”, then Kane should change his name to “The Devil’s Favorite Dumbass”. Ziggler then says that he lives to compete before issuing an open challenge to anyone in the back to face him right here, right now. The man who answers the challenge is another native of England as the new arrival from NXT, “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Neville, would go one-on-one with Dolph Ziggler! At the end of an awe-inspiring match, it was Dolph Ziggler moving out of the way of the Red Arrow and sending Neville into the ring post before hitting the Zig Zag and pinning Neville for the win. After the match, Dolph Ziggler would help Neville to his feet, but that is when Sheamus would interrupt the proceedings as “The Celtic Warrior” would blindside an unsuspecting Dolph Ziggler, knocking Dolph down before blasting Neville with the Brogue Kick. Sheamus then continues to bully Dolph Ziggler, slapping “The Show-Off”, but when Sheamus goes for the Brogue Kick, Ziggler fights back, taking Sheamus to the outside as a brawl breaks out between the two. However, Sheamus would get the better of the fight, sending Dolph Ziggler face-first into the steel ring post before leveling Ziggler with the Brogue Kick. Sheamus then stands tall on the announce table, clearly proud of his ambush, before hovering over the downed Dolph Ziggler. Then it was time for what was being dubbed the “Extreme Decision” as WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, with J&J Security in tow, would appear on RAW to announce his stipulation for his WWE World Heavyweight Title defense against Randy Orton at Extreme Rules. The champion would take a seat in the ring in a lush recliner set up in between two less luxurious chairs for J&J Security before saying that he is the “future of WWE” and he is the “greatest WWE World Heavyweight Champion of all-time”. The champion continues, saying that, at WrestleMania, he defeated both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns on the same night to win the championship, adding that he also defeated Kane earlier tonight. Rollins then reveals that, after what took place earlier in the night, Kane has decided to relieve himself of his duties as Director of Operations for the rest of the night. Rollins then says that a “real man” knows when to lay down and put the “team” before himself, saying that, as a result of his “hard-fought win” over Kane, he gets to pick a stipulation for his match against Randy Orton at Extreme Rules. Seth Rollins then asks his Extreme Rules opponent, Randy Orton, to come to the ring and, with the right to name a stipulation of his own, “The Viper” makes his way to the ring. With Seth Rollins not even bothered enough to get out of his comfortable seat, Randy Orton asks why Rollins has to “overcomplicate” things, saying that they both get to pick a stipulation for Extreme Rules. Orton then suggests that they make things even “simpler” by getting rid of the furniture and they fight right here, right now. The smug champion says that “complicated creates opportunities” and opportunities are where he thrives before Rollins gets out of his chair, getting in the face of Randy Orton before saying that his stipulation for Extreme Rules will eliminate Orton’s “greatest weapon”, revealing that, at Extreme Rules, the RKO will be banned! Rollins then sits back in his recliner, fully reclining as he laughs at Orton, saying The Authority “always wins”. Orton responds by saying that he was thinking along the same lines, saying that he also wants to take away the “greatest weapon” in Seth Rollins’ arsenal, pondering what Rollins’ greatest weapon is. Orton comments that Rollins’ greatest weapon is not his “quickness” or Rollins’ perceived “intelligence”, his greatest weapon is his connection with The Authority. Orton continues, saying that, what if, at Extreme Rules, there was no way that The Authority could get to Seth Rollins to help him out, asking what it would be like if it was just the two of them, one-on-one without any help from The Authority. “The Viper” then reveals his stipulation, announcing that, at Extreme Rules, the two of them will square off inside a steel cage! This announcement quickly wipes the smile off of the face of Seth Rollins before Rollins says that he is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, saying that, without the RKO, Orton is just Rollins’ “first victim”. Not willing to wait until Extreme Rules, Randy Orton says that, since the RKO is banned at Extreme Rules, they will have to give the fans their “money’s worth” right now. With that, Orton tips over Rollins’ recliner, decking J&J Security before tossing the champion across the ring and pummeling Rollins in the corner. J&J Security then pulls Orton off of Rollins, but “The Viper” tosses both men out of the ring before hitting a powerslam on Seth Rollins in the middle of the ring. Orton then goes for his signature DDT on the champion, but Joey Mercury gets involved and is quickly dispatched with an RKO from Orton. However, the distraction would again allow Seth Rollins to make a quick escape from the ring as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion retreats to the stage, leaving Randy Orton standing tall in the ring as Seth Rollins’ face tells the story about just how much trouble his championship reign is in come Extreme Rules.
