WWE RAW Results: March 2, 2015By Cassidy| March 5, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results With Daily Show host Jon Stewart scheduled to confront him, RAW kicks off with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins, with J&J Security by his side. Rollins says that he has received word that Jon Stewart is on his way to the arena, saying that, unless Stewart is coming there to apologize, then he should just turn around and go home. Rollins then says that he can do Jon Stewart’s job better than he can because he is the “hand-picked shining jewel” of The Authority and every fan in the arena paid to see Seth Rollins. Rollins then claims to be “untouchable” before he is interrupted by a longtime rival in the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, Roman Reigns. Roman implores Seth Rollins to continue, saying that he just wanted to hear the fans tell Rollins how much he sucks in person. Not one to be short on confidence, Rollins continues, claiming to be “worth more” than Michael Jordan. As Roman laughs at Rollins, Rollins says that he can “out-talk” Jon Stewart, he can “out-rap” Wiz Khalifa, and he can “out-eat” Mark Henry! Rollins then says that he can “out-wrestle” Roman Reigns and he will be the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion, not Reigns. Rollins then tells Roman that he cannot beat Brock Lesnar, saying that he has been in the ring with “The Beast” and he has been in the ring with Reigns. Rollins then says that he can beat Brock Lesnar and he can beat Roman Reigns. Roman responds by saying that Rollins had the chance to beat Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble, but he just couldn’t get the job done. Roman then asks Rollins if he is “man enough” to cash in his Money-in-the-Bank contract and make the WWE World Heavyweight Title match at WrestleMania a Triple Threat Match. Rollins says that he could do that or he could wait for Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns to tear each other apart and then cash in or maybe wait until the night after WrestleMania to cash in. Desperate to shut Rollins up, a shoving match ensues between Reigns and Rollins before Roman blasts Rollins with a right hand and J&J Security immediately jumps Roman Reigns, but Roman fights back, hitting Jamie Noble with the Superman Punch and blasting Joey Mercury with the Spear! Roman then stands tall in the ring as Seth Rollins retreats to the back. Moments after getting punched in the mouth by Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins is confronted by Randy Orton backstage. Orton tells Rollins that what just happened out there was “embarrassing”, blaming J&J Security for letting it happen. Orton says that he “believes” in Rollins before saying that, if he was Rollins, he would march down to The Authority’s office and demand a match with Roman Reigns tonight and prove that he can “out-wrestle” Reigns. Rollins says that he can “out-wrestle anyone on the WWE roster” before saying that he appreciates the advice, but he can handle the situation on his own. With Bad News Barrett’s Intercontinental Title belt still in his possession, Dean Ambrose would go one-on-one with Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett in a non-title match on RAW with R-Truth a guest on commentary. During the match, Bad News Barrett would take his focus away from Dean Ambrose to confront R-Truth at ringside, shoving Truth back in his seat. Shortly after this, Ambrose would take Barrett down on the outside and, with Barrett’s attention elsewhere, R-Truth would sneak up and take Barrett’s Intercontinental Title belt, hiding the belt under the announce table. Things would continue to get more unusual once Luke Harper mysteriously appears behind R-Truth, holding his hands out for the title belt as R-Truth hands the belt over! Harper then slings the title belt over his shoulder, walking to the back with the belt, completely ignoring Barrett, who is shouting at him from the ring. Ambrose would take advantage of the distraction, hitting Dirty Deeds on Barrett, pinning Barrett for the win. After the match, Dean Ambrose would frantically look around for the Intercontinental Title belt, even confronting R-Truth about the belt’s whereabouts. Backstage, several WWE Superstars and Divas were clamoring around The Miz and his personal assistant Damien Mizdow as The Miz would premiere his new commercial he shot last week. Despite Mizdow’s insistence that he preview the commercial himself, in private, The Miz would show the commercial and, much to the embarrassment of The Miz, it turned out to be a commercial for erectile dysfunction. Twisting his words to suggest The Miz’s ‘manhood’ is ineffective, the commercial utterly embarrasses The Miz in front of most of the WWE locker room. An angry and humiliated Miz accuses Damien Mizdow of setting him up because of Mizdow’s “jealousy” towards The Miz. The Miz continues to berate his personal assistant, saying that Mizdow would not even be on the roster if it wasn’t for him, calling Mizdow an “ungrateful nobody” and slapping Mizdow across the face! With a fire in his eyes, Mizdow gets in The Miz’s face, ready to destroy his boss, but once The Miz reminds Mizdow of what defying The Miz would mean, Mizdow swallows his pride and begrudgingly apologizes to The Miz. With his brazen challenge to The Undertaker for a match at WrestleMania still unanswered, Bray Wyatt would make an appearance on RAW. With a large and homemade casket on the stage behind him, Bray asks what is “truly left” of The Undertaker, asking if the “hands of time” have finally ripped “The Deadman” apart. Wyatt then says that WrestleMania approaches before saying that he built a casket just for The Undertaker, saying that The Undertaker is “mocking” him with his “silence”. Bray then says that everything “comes with a price” before bringing out a can of gasoline, saying that he’s always had a “fascination” with fire. Wyatt continues, saying that fire has this “urge to destroy anything and everything” that is in its path, just like Bray Wyatt. Bray then dumps gasoline on top of the casket, saying that The Undertaker cannot “hide” from him and, where he comes from, “everything burns” and, at WrestleMania, The Undertaker will “burn” too. Wyatt then lights the casket on fire with a look of euphoria on his face, screaming “find me” as the flames die down. After a confrontation between Naomi and Natalya led to Natalya costing The Usos the WWE Tag Team Titles on last week’s RAW, The Usos would team with Jimmy Uso’s wife Naomi to face the WWE Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Tyson Kidd and Tyson Kidd’s wife Natalya in a 6-Person Mixed Tag Match. During the match, The Usos were set to deliver a double super kick to Tyson Kidd, but Kidd would quickly tag his wife Natalya into the match, meaning that Naomi would automatically be legal in the match. However, Natalya would question her husband’s decision to tag her in after she injured her ankle earlier in the match and Naomi would take advantage of the lover’s quarrel, rolling Natalya up to pick up the win for herself and The Usos. After the match, Natalya would get in her husband’s face, yelling at Tyson Kidd and even yelling at Cesaro before Tyson Kidd hugs his wife to try and calm her down. After Rusev denied him a rematch for the United States Title at WrestleMania, John Cena would appear on RAW to address what his plans are for WrestleMania. John Cena says that, as much as he wants to beat Rusev and win the United States Title on the grand stage of WrestleMania, he is not going to dwell on it. Cena then says that he is going to “adapt”, telling Rusev that, sooner or later, he is going to get his hands on Rusev, but right now his focus is on WrestleMania. Cena then announces that he is going to be a part of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania! Cena then vows to make a “giant statement” at WrestleMania before he is interrupted by WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon, who makes her way to the ring. Stephanie confronts Cena, taking issue with Cena just inserting himself into the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. However, Cena reminds Stephanie that is what everybody does, they just announce their entry into the match, citing The Miz, Fandango, and Adam Rose as examples. Stephanie then accuses Cena of trying to “disparage” Andre The Giant, showing a picture of a young Stephanie sitting on the lap of Andre The Giant. Stephanie uses this logic to deny John Cena a spot in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and Cena responds by telling Stephanie that he can tell from that picture that Stephanie was not the “bitch” that she is now! Cena then clarifies that he was not trying to belittle Andre The Giant, saying that he was informing her of his service in WWE, that he is a fifteen-time former World Champion and has been in the main event of ten WrestleMania events. Cena then says that he thought that his accomplishments in WWE would have allotted him a spot in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but Stephanie says that Cena “thought wrong”. Stephanie says that Cena’s history with The Authority doesn’t exactly “curry favor”, saying that Cena failed to beat Rusev, so maybe they need to find someone who can. Cena says that it’s not about The Authority or Rusev, it’s about WrestleMania. Stephanie then interrupts Cena, shouting at Cena that he does not “define” WWE, saying that guys like Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, & Bret Hart all thought that, when they left WWE, that WWE could not survive without them. Stephanie then says that WWE “thrived” and that is exactly what would happen if John Cena sat out this year’s WrestleMania, which the fans roar their approval of. Stephanie continues, saying that it’s not a matter of “where would WWE be without John Cena, but rather “where would John Cena be without WWE”! The intense confrontation between John Cena and Stephanie McMahon would then be interrupted by an unlikely individual as Curtis Axel comes out to the stage. Still claiming that he is in the Royal Rumble Match over a month after its conclusion, Curtis Axel says that he is the “greatest Royal Rumble competitor in history”. Making his way to the ring, Curtis Axel suggests that he be the one to challenge Rusev for the United States Title at WrestleMania, saying that, much like Stephanie, his father and grandfather were both in the wrestling business and he also met Andre The Giant as a child. Axel continues, saying that he knows that he is already in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but points out the obvious that “two victories are better than one”. Axel then says that Stephanie’s words are an “inspiration” to him and Stephanie appreciates Axel’s show of respect, saying that Axel’s star is on the “rise” while Cena’s star is “falling”. Stephanie then says that, if Cena wants to prove himself, then he should face Curtis Axel right here, right now. Stephanie then calls for a referee before telling Cena that the only way that Cena is going to get his rematch with Rusev at WrestleMania is to get Rusev to change his mind. Stephanie then exits the ring as Curtis Axel asks John Cena what he’s going to do when “AxelMania runs wild on you”! With Curtis Axel ready to fight, John Cena says that he is going to give Axel one chance to walk out of the ring because, once the match starts, Axel will not walk out of the ring. However, Curtis Axel does not back down and as Curtis Axel continues to mimic Hulk Hogan, a stone-faced John Cena glares at Curtis Axel, waiting for Axel to turn around. Cena would then make quick work of Curtis Axel, taking mere minutes to hit the Attitude Adjustment and pin Curtis Axel for the win. After the match, United States Champion Rusev would come out to the stage with Lana by his side as Rusev says that, since it is his decision to make on whether or not he faces John Cena at WrestleMania, his answer is still “no”! Much like last week, the Russian flag would then unfurl behind John Cena in the ring. For the first time since his confrontation with Sting at Fastlane ended with Triple H being humbled and challenged to a match against Sting at WrestleMania, WWE COO Triple H would publicly address his WrestleMania showdown with Sting. Triple H says that, in 1995, he looked Vince McMahon in the eye and said all he wanted an “opportunity” and, twenty years and thirteen World Title reigns later, he is the COO of the company. Triple H then says that, at Fastlane, he gave Sting the “opportunity” to make Sting “bigger” than he has ever been in his career, but Sting gave all that up for his moment on the grand stage of WrestleMania. Triple H says that he sort of understands wanting to make a statement at WrestleMania, but Sting chose the wrong guy to face. Triple H then vows that, at WrestleMania, he will make it seem like Sting’s career “never existed”, saying that he’s sure that everyone has their own opinions as to why Sting never joined WWE up until this point. The COO adds that the commentators probably even have their theories on the subject before asking WWE Hall of Famer and a longtime friend and colleague of Sting’s, Booker T, to come into the ring. Booker T gets up from his announce position and joins Triple H in the ring, shaking the COO’s hand. Triple H then says that he heard Booker’s comments from a few minutes earlier when Booker speculated that Sting never came to WWE earlier because Triple H would not allow it. Triple H says that he knows that Booker T doesn’t believe that before asking Booker why he thinks Sting never came to WWE. Booker says that he knows Sting and he knows Triple H and he knows that Triple H is not afraid to use his power and influence to get what he wants. Booker then says that, if he was Triple H, he probably would have “blocked” Sting from coming to WWE too. Triple H says that he thought that Booker T was better than that, saying that Booker is just like the “kids” on the internet who think they know the ins and outs of the wrestling business when they don’t know anything about it. Booker says that, regardless of what Triple H considers to be “best for business”, the COO cannot “control” Sting, saying that “no one” can control Sting, citing Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and even Eric Bischoff could not control Sting. Booker continues, saying that Sting is in WWE now and Triple H is going to have to “deal with it” come WrestleMania. Triple H argues that, if no one could control Sting, then why didn’t he come to WWE, saying that maybe Sting did not want to come to WWE. Triple H then says that “control” means that you can do “anything”, but when you don’t have control, it can be “frustrating” and when you don’t have any control over your “fate”, it can be a “scary thing”. The COO then says that he just wanted Booker T’s opinion before getting in the Hall of Famer’s face and telling Booker T that he’s fired! With a look of anger and disbelief on his face, Booker T glares at Triple H before a visibly upset Booker T exits the ring, grabs his notes off of the announce table, and starts to walk to the back. However, Triple H stops Booker T on the ramp, telling Booker that he’s not really fired, he was just giving an “example” of what “control” is and who has “ultimate control”. Triple H then says that he has been handed an “opportunity” to end a “legacy” and to end the “last visage” that was WCW, declaring that he will take advantage of that opportunity at WrestleMania when he puts an “end” to Sting! Triple H then exits the ring, having a brief discussion with Booker T before walking to the back as Booker T returns to the announce desk. After their title match at Fastlane ended in controversy, the Divas Title would be defended on RAW as Nikki Bella, with Brie Bella in her corner, would defend the Divas Championship against Paige in a rematch from Fastlane. During the match, Paige would try to lock in the PTO on Nikki Bella, but Nikki’s sister Brie would get on the ring apron and Paige would deliver a kick to Brie, knocking her off of the ring apron. Paige then delivers a similar kick to the face of Nikki Bella before finally locking in the PTO on Nikki, but just when it looked like Paige would win the Divas Title, Brie attacks Paige, ending the match by disqualification and keeping the Divas Title with her sister. As Nikki struggles to get to her feet, Brie Bella assaults Paige before picking Paige up and holding her in place for Nikki, but that is when a former rival would come to Paige’s aid as AJ Lee returns to WWE, rushing to the ring! AJ Lee would take it to both Bella Twins before the numbers game would come into play and Paige would intervene, blasting Nikki with a kick to the face. Paige & AJ Lee would then join forces, working together to send both Bella Twins out of the ring! Paige & AJ Lee would then stand tall together in the ring, appearing a little unsure of each other as The Bella Twins retreat. Live in the middle of the ring, it was then time for The Daily Show with Seth Rollins as “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” would appear with his own Daily Show desk in a mockery of Jon Stewart. After showing his invasion of The Daily Show last Thursday, Rollins says that he is there to prove that he can do Jon Stewart’s job far better than Stewart ever could. Rollins then gets to his first topic, asking where Jon Stewart is, saying that Stewart is a “smart guy” and he decided not to show up to RAW just like people decided not show up to the movie that Jon Stewart directed last year. Rollins then says that, if Stewart were to show up tonight, he would force Stewart into retirement “immediately”, saying that it would be tough to do a “phony news show” with your jaw “wired shut”. Much to the surprise of Seth Rollins, the real host of The Daily Show and New Jersey’s own Jon Stewart would make his way to the ring, taking a seat in the ring. Stewart comments that Seth Rollins hosting The Daily Show is just another example of Rollins taking something he doesn’t deserve. Rollins says that he is just out there to prove to the world that he can do Stewart’s job better than Stewart himself can. The comedian fires back, saying that Rollins is proving that he can “barely read”, eluding to the sheets of paper that Rollins is reading off of. Rollins accuses Jon Stewart of trying to make a “fool” out of him and Stewart responds by saying that Rollins is dressed like a “swat team stripper with Lady Gaga’s hair”! Stewart continues, saying that they are in New Jersey and, in New Jersey, the Curb Stomp is how they “greet each other in the morning”. Stewart says that he is “old school” and he remembers the guys who “earned” it, naming guys like Bruno Sammartino, Gorilla Monsoon, and Mick Foley who fought their way up. Jon Stewart then says that Seth Rollins has never contended with authority like Stone Cold Steve Austin or overcame injury after injury to become a legend like The Undertaker. Stewart continues, saying that Rollins thought that he could take a “shortcut” by becoming a “poster boy” for The Authority and, when people get tired of “posters”, they “take them down”. Stewart then says that Seth Rollins may be “bigger” and “stronger” than he is, but he has something that Seth Rollins will never have and that is “respect”. The comedian then says that The Authority does not care about Seth Rollins, bringing up the fact that Seth Rollins is not fighting for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania, saying that if Rollins is better in the ring and on the microphone, then why is Rollins not in the title match. Stewart continues, saying that either Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns will walk out with the title at WrestleMania while Rollins will be stuck holding his briefcase, which Rollins didn’t earn. Rollins then gets out of his seat and the comedian tries to keep his distance from “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” before Rollins gets his hands on Stewart, but that is when Randy Orton would come out, distracting Rollins and J&J Security long enough for Jon Stewart to deliver a low blow to Seth Rollins before quickly, albeit awkwardly, sliding out of the ring and avoiding what was sure to be a disaster for the comedian. Randy Orton then feigns confusion before walking to the back, followed shortly by a celebratory Jon Stewart, leaving a hurting and humiliated Seth Rollins in the ring. After walking off with Bad News Barrett’s Intercontinental Title belt earlier in the night, Luke Harper would bring the title belt to the ring with him for his match against another potential contender for the Intercontinental Title in Daniel Bryan. Despite a hard-hitting onslaught from Luke Harper, Daniel Bryan would survive and overcome, locking the big man in the Yes Lock, making Luke Harper tap out to pick up the win. As Daniel Bryan celebrates his victory at ringside, Bad News Barrett would make his move, retrieving his Intercontinental Title belt, but Dean Ambrose would meet Barrett on the entrance ramp, fighting Barrett back to the ring. Ambrose would then take Barrett down with a clothesline before taking the title belt, but Luke Harper would then blast “The Lunatic Fringe” with a big boot to the face. Harper then collapses in the corner, allowing R-Truth to sneak up and take the title belt out of Harper’s grasp, but Harper would block R-Truth’s exit from the ringside area, making Truth place the belt on the ground. R-Truth complies, but Luke Harper drops R-Truth with a clothesline anyways. However, when Luke Harper makes it to the stage, he is blasted in the face with a super kick from Dolph Ziggler! As Daniel Bryan leads a “yes” chant at ringside, Dolph Ziggler symbolically climbs the ladder on the stage with the title belt in hand. It was announced on RAW that former Women’s Champion and a trailblazer for women in WWE, Alundra Blayze, also known as Madusa in WCW and the AWA, will join “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rikishi, & The Bushwhackers as in inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2015! Backstage, Randy Orton confronts an angry Seth Rollins, telling “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” that he should be thanking Orton for intervening and keeping Rollins from assaulting Jon Stewart, saying that it could have cost Rollins his job. “The Viper” then says that, if Rollins needs help beating Roman Reigns in the main event, then all he needs to do is ask. However, this brings in Kane & Big Show, who offers their services to Seth Rollins instead as Orton tells Rollins, “suit yourself”, walking out of the locker room. RAW would then feature an appearance by Paul Heyman, the advocate for WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. Heyman says that he is out there to address the “rumors”, saying that Brock Lesnar will be at WrestleMania and “The Beast” will be anywhere that he “damn well pleases” before WrestleMania and after WrestleMania. Heyman continues, saying that Brock Lesnar will be the champion as long as he “damn well pleases”, telling everyone to “believe that”. Heyman then says that everyone expects Roman Reigns to win the title at WrestleMania, saying that everyone believes that Roman Reigns is a “badass Samoan with a chip on his shoulder”. Heyman continues, saying that WrestleMania is going to go down in one of two ways, either Brock Lesnar will beat Roman Reigns down the same way he beat John Cena down at SummerSlam or Lesnar “straight up Ronda Rouseys” Roman Reigns! Heyman then says that Roman Reigns is going to get “emasculated” and “conquered” by Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, declaring that everyone should “believe that”. Roman Reigns then makes his way to the ring for the main event as Paul Heyman exits the ring, having made a clear statement on behalf of his client, Brock Lesnar. After a confrontation earlier in the night, the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, Roman Reigns, would go one-on-one with a man who has already had a memorable night for all the wrong reasons, “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins, with Kane, Big Show, and J&J Security in his corner. During the match, J&J Security would try and get involved behind the referee’s back, but Roman Reigns would shove J&J Security to the side before taking Joey Mercury down with a clothesline and heading back into the ring. This would inexplicably bring Randy Orton out to the ringside area as the match continues. Seth Rollins would continue to benefit from J&J Security’s interference, but Roman Reigns would repeatedly take out Noble & Mercury while avoiding defeat. Roman Reigns would then toss Seth Rollins to the outside and, as Big Show tends to Rollins, Roman Reigns would leap onto Big Show, taking the giant down. Then, with the referee’s attention on Seth Rollins in the ring, Kane would get involved, delivering a chair shot to the mid-section of Reigns, rolling Roman back into the ring. Rollins then goes for the Curb Stomp on Reigns, but Roman catches Rollins with the Superman Punch, followed up by a Superman Punch to Kane, as well! Roman Reigns would then set up for the Spear, but with the referee’s attention on Kane, Randy Orton would grab the foot of Reigns. This would turn Roman’s attention to Orton and Seth Rollins would take advantage, rolling Roman up and keeping him down for the three-count to pick up the win. Despite Seth Rollins getting the win, Randy Orton would appear displeased with the proceedings, but would walk out with The Authority regardless. However, Roman Reigns was not done fighting as an angry Reigns would dive to the outside, taking out Seth Rollins, Kane, and J&J Security! Roman then delivers a couple shots to Big Show before grabbing Seth Rollins and tossing Rollins into the ringside barricade. With Randy Orton nowhere in sight, Roman Reigns then blats Kane with a Spear on the outside before Big Show appears to get the better of Roman Reigns, tossing Reigns into the ring. However, when Big Show tries to come into the ring, Roman Reigns catches Big Show with the Superman Punch before taking the giant down with the Spear. Seth Rollins then takes to the air to try and take Roman Reigns out, but Roman would catch Rollins in mid-air with the Spear! Roman Reigns then stands tall in the ring as The Authority struggles to regroup from the five-man beatdown perpetrated by Roman Reigns. What did you think of this week’s RAW?
