WWE SmackDown Results: February 5, 2015By Cassidy| February 6, 2015 WWE SmackDown Previous Page Detailed Results With his stunt double turned personal assistant Damien Mizdow being forced to sit at ringside by his boss, The Miz would kick off SmackDown with Miz TV. Miz welcomes everyone to Miz TV before welcoming his two guests, who will face off at Fast Lane with the main event spot at WrestleMania on the line. The Miz first introduces Daniel Bryan, who makes his way to the ring, but before The Miz can even give him an introduction, the winner of the 2015 Royal Rumble Match, Roman Reigns, makes his way to the ring, as well. Clearly not in the mood to listen to The Miz, Roman Reigns silences the self-proclaimed “A-Lister” before he can even ask a single question as Roman blasts an unsuspecting Miz with the Superman Punch! With The Miz out of commission, Roman Reigns says that he went through 29 other Superstars to win the Royal Rumble Match and he doesn’t mind having to go through one more. Roman then vows that he will beat Bryan at Fast Lane and he will face Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Roman Reigns says that he can tell that Daniel Bryan wants to do this right here, right now, but before the Fast Lane opponents could square off, they are interrupted by “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins, who comes out to the stage with J&J Security by his side. Rollins says that he has a bone to pick with both Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns, saying that he had Daniel Bryan beat on RAW, but he was not victorious because Reigns stuck his nose in Rollins’ business. Rollins continues, saying that Roman Reigns is a “coward” who does not have the “guts” to face him one-on-one. Rollins then says that it does not matter what happens at Fast Lane and it does not matter what happens at WrestleMania because he holds the “future” in his hands. Rollins then informs Daniel Bryan that, per the orders of The Authority, Bryan will be in action tonight when he faces Seth Rollins and J&J Security in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match! The troubled brothers, Gold & Stardust, would face an unusual team on SmackDown as the painted brothers would face the team of “The Show-Off” Dolph Ziggler and “The Big Guy” Ryback. During the match, Goldust would ask for a tag into the match, but would make the mistake of calling his brother “Cody” and Stardust would respond by tagging his older brother into the match with a hard chop across the chest. Stardust then walks out on the match, leaving Goldust to fend for himself! Abandoned by his brother, Goldust would not stand a chance as Dolph Ziggler blasts Goldust with a super kick, followed up with Shell Shocked by Ryback, who pins Goldust for the win. After expressing his interest in challenging Bad News Barrett for the Intercontinental Championship on RAW, “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose would go one-on-one with the man who failed to make a statement at Ambrose’s expense on RAW, the delusional Curtis Axel. In the end, it was Dean Ambrose hitting Dirty Deeds on Curtis Axel, pinning Axel for the win. After the match, Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett would appear from his “Bad News Zone”, saying that Ambrose is trying to make himself “relevant” and Ambrose is too much of a “lunatic” to deserve a shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Two of WWE’s most fun-loving Superstars would face off on SmackDown as Fandango, with Rosa Mendes in his corner, would face Adam Rose, with The Exotic Express in tow. However, before the match begins, Adam Rose would do his signature trust fall into The Exotic Express, but the Rosebuds would drop Rose and Rose would respond by assaulting members of The Exotic Express before Fandango brings Rose into the ring and the match gets underway. In the end, it was Fandango hitting the Last Dance on Adam Rose, pinning Rose for the win. After leveling The Miz with the Superman Punch earlier in the night on Miz TV, Roman Reigns would go one-on-one with The Miz, with Damien Mizdow in his corner, in a match requested by The Miz. However, The Miz would not even let the match begin, knocking Roman Reigns off of the ring apron before sending him into the steel steps at ringside. The referee then manages to get The Miz off of Roman Reigns, getting Miz to get back into the ring before the match officially gets underway. Despite The Miz’s best attempts to slow down Roman Reigns, Roman would weather the storm before blasting The Miz with the Superman Punch, following it up with the Spear, pinning Miz for the win. After being viciously assaulted by Rusev on RAW, Erick Rowan would be looking revenge as Erick Rowan would go one-on-one with United States Champion Rusev, with Lana in his corner. In the end, it was another dominant display by Rusev, who locks in the Accolade on Erick Rowan, making Rowan tap out to pick up the win. Two weeks before she challenges Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship at Fast Lane, Paige would go one-on-one with Alicia Fox on SmackDown. In the end, it was Paige locking in the PTO on Alicia Fox, making Alicia tap out to pick up the win. At a local restaurant, Jimmy Uso, his wife Naomi, and Tyson Kidd’s wife, Natalya, are awaiting Tyson’s arrival for their scheduled double date. However, when Tyson shows up, he brings his tag team partner, Cesaro, with him and this leads to an argument between Tyson and Natalya that leads to Naomi sticking up for Natalya. Then, when Tyson talks back to Naomi, Jimmy Uso gets involved, calling Tyson an “ignorant jackass” and Tyson responds by knocking the table over as Cesaro clocks Jimmy with a cheap shot, leaving Jimmy hurt on the floor. As Naomi tends to her husband, Natalya tells Naomi that she tried to do a nice thing by inviting them to dinner, but Naomi and Jimmy “ruined everything”. Then it was time for the main event as, two weeks before he faces Roman Reigns with a spot in the main event of WrestleMania on the line at Fast Lane, Daniel Bryan would be forced to face “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins and J&J Security in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match. Despite the odds, Daniel Bryan would survive against Seth Rollins and J&J Security, sending Rollins and Jamie Noble to the outside before locking in the Yes Lock on Joey Mercury, making Mercury tap out to pick up the win. After the match, Kane would ambush Daniel Bryan on the stage bringing Bryan back to the ring as Kane joins Rollins and J&J Security in beating down Bryan before Kane plants Bryan with a chokeslam. With Seth Rollins calling the shots, J&J Security would pick Daniel Bryan up as Kane delivers a second chokeslam to Bryan and, instructing J&J Security to hold Daniel Bryan in place, Rollins says that they are going to make sure that Bryan doesn’t make it to Fast Lane, hitting the vicious Curb Stomp on Daniel Bryan. Seth Rollins, Kane, and J&J Security then stand tall over the unconscious Daniel Bryan, having endangered Bryan’s chances of even making it to Fast Lane. What did you think of this week’s SmackDown?
