Three nights before Fastlane, the 809th edition of WWE Thursday Night SmackDown came to you from the BB&T Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The conclusion of Monday’s RAW saw all hell break loose between Fastlane opponents Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns as the two proud combatants brawled with each other throughout the ringside area, requiring a slew of referees and officials to come down and break up the intense brawl. With Bryan and Reigns looking to tear each other apart this Sunday at Fastlane, SmackDown would provide the two potential WrestleMania main eventers a way to take out their aggression before Fastlane as SmackDown would see Daniel Bryan square off with The Miz while Roman Reigns would go one-on-one with Luke Harper. Also on RAW, a stellar fast-paced matchup between Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins was ruined by J&J Security, who jumped Ziggler just when it looked like Dolph would pin Rollins. However, SmackDown would provide Dolph Ziggler an opportunity to get the win he surely had on RAW as “The Show-Off” Dolph Ziggler would go one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins in a rematch from RAW and, this time, J&J Security would be barred from ringside! While Dolph Ziggler would take on The Authority’s Seth Rollins, Ryback and Erick Rowan would also be looking to get a measure of revenge against The Authority as SmackDown would see familiar foes face off as “The Big Guy” Ryback faces The Authority’s Director of Operations Kane and Erick Rowan goes one-on-one with “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show!
