WWE RAW Results: February 9, 2015By Cassidy| February 11, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results Thirteen nights before he puts his spot in the main event of WrestleMania on the line against Daniel Bryan at Fastlane, RAW kicks off with the 2015 Royal Rumble Match winner Roman Reigns, who makes his way to the ring to a mixed reaction from the fans. Roman says that, this time last week, he stood in the ring as the winner of the 2015 Royal Rumble Match and that victory was supposed to mean that he would challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. Reigns then says that The Authority made it clear last week that they do not want him in the main event of WrestleMania, so if he has to beat Daniel Bryan at Fastlane then beat Brock Lesnar for the championship at WrestleMania, then he is going to do it. Roman then says that, from this moment on, he does not care who gets in his way because he has a Spear with their “name on it”, saying that they can “believe that”. This brings out Roman Reigns’ Fastlane opponent, Daniel Bryan, who says that he did not come out there to fight Roman, he came out there to “thank” him. Bryan then says that, without Reigns’ help, he might not have been able to defeat Seth Rollins. With a sarcastic tone in his voice, Bryan thanks Roman for giving him the “opportunity” last week. Bryan continues, saying that Roman has his own “opportunity” come Fastlane when they face off with a main event WrestleMania spot on the line. Bryan says that Reigns may be “bigger” and “stronger” than him, but everyone knows that he is the better “wrestler” of the two. The Authority then make their way to the stage as WWE COO Triple H & WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon are accompanied by The Authority’s designated giants, Kane & Big Show. After Stephanie plugs that the WWE Network is free for the month of February for new subscribers, Triple H says that it’s been two weeks since he called Sting out for a face-to-face confrontation at Fastlane and he has not heard a word from the legend. The COO then says that he wants an answer from Sting by the end of the night, asking Sting if he is a “man” or if he is the “coward” that he thinks that Sting is. Stephanie then turns her attention to Roman Reigns, saying that Roman not only cost Seth Rollins his match against Daniel Bryan last week, but Roman speared an “innocent” Big Show, who was just “minding the ring”. Stephanie claims that Roman attacked Big Show out of “spite” after Big Show defeated Reigns earlier in the night. However, Roman contests that he dropped Big Show with the Spear because he “could”. Addressing Daniel Bryan, Stephanie says that, two weeks ago on SmackDown, Daniel Bryan stuffed Kane into a casket, commenting that is where “deceased bodies” go, calling Bryan “sick and twisted”. Daniel Bryan reminds The Authority that they were the ones who put him in a Casket Match against Kane, adding that, considering what Triple H has done in a casket in the past, he thought that they would “appreciate it”. Stephanie McMahon then claims that Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns have caused “emotional distress” and “public humiliation”, so as punishment, Bryan and Reigns will face Kane & Big Show in tag team action and it will take place right now. Per the orders of The Authority, the opening match of the night would see Fastlane opponents team up as the team of Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns would face The Authority’s big men, Kane & Big Show, with Triple H & Stephanie McMahon at ringside. During the match, Daniel Bryan would lock in the Yes Lock on Kane, but Big Show would pull Bryan out of the ring, tossing him over the ringside barricade, resulting in the match ending by disqualification. Roman Reigns then immediately jumps on Big Show, drilling the giant with right hands. Kane then gets involved, but is sent face-first into the steel ring post by Reigns before Big Show grabs a steel chair, driving it into Roman’s mid-section. Big Show then delivers a chair shot to the back of Roman before putting Reigns back into the ring, but when Big Show enters the ring, Roman pops up, catching Big Show with the Superman Punch! Reigns then grabs the steel chair, using the weapon to wear down Big Show and send the giant out of the ring. Kane then comes back into the fray, landing a big right hand to Roman Reigns, but when Kane goes for the chokeslam, Roman fights out of it. Daniel Bryan then charges at Kane, but Kane side-steps and Daniel Bryan inadvertently hits Roman Reigns with a dropkick in the corner! A confused Roman Reigns then makes it to his feet as a distraught Daniel Bryan tries to explain that it was an accident, but Roman shoves Bryan down to the mat, leading to an intense confrontation between the two. Having seen everything that just transpired, Triple H sarcastically comments that Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns get along “great” before announcing that the main event of the evening will see Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns team up again. However, not only will Bryan and Reigns face Kane & Big Show, but they will face Seth Rollins and J&J Security as well in a 5-on-2 Handicap Match! Before he joins Kane, Big Show, and J&J Security to face Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns in a 5-on-2 Handicap Match later in the night, “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins, with J&J Security in his corner, would face “The Big Guy” Ryback on RAW. Despite J&J Security’s frequent interference behind the referee’s back, Ryback would continue to get the better of Seth Rollins, but just when it looked like Ryback was closing in on the win, J&J Security rush the ring, attacking Ryback and ending the match by disqualification. As Ryback struggles to fight off both members of J&J Security, Seth Rollins catches Ryback with a kick to the head, followed by the Curb Stomp, leaving Ryback at their feet in the ring. Before she challenges Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship at Fastlane, Paige would go one-on-one with Brie Bella, with Divas Champion Nikki Bella in her corner. During the match, Nikki Bella would get on the ring apron, but the attempt at a distraction would backfire as Paige shoves Brie Bella into Nikki, knocking Nikki off of the ring apron. Paige then follows this up with the Ram Paige to Brie Bella, pinning Brie for the win. With a match against John Cena for the United States Championship coming up at Fastlane, United States Champion Rusev would appear on RAW with Lana in tow to allegedly honor the career of John Cena. Lana says that, despite what people may think, they are “proud” to face John Cena at Fastlane and Cena should be “honored” to face Rusev. Lana then says that Cena is one of the “finest fighting champions” in WWE history, saying that they would like to recognize Cena’s career tonight. Lana then a presents a video that starts out as a montage highlighting the biggest wins of John Cena’s career, but the video then turns to Cena getting beat-down, assaulted, defeated, and injured throughout his career. After the video concludes, Lana says that thirteen years is a long time, saying that Cena is at his “limits” and he is just waiting for his “annihilation”. Rusev then says that Cena is not the man he used to be, calling himself a “hero” and Cena no longer has “ruthless aggression”, saying Cena is “just weak”. Rusev then vows to break John Cena’s body and crush Cena’s “spirit”. This brings John Cena out to the stage, who says that, if he is such an “easy opponent” and Rusev is so unstoppable, then why are they even having a match at Fastlane. Cena then says that Rusev & Lana are “full of crap” before saying that the one thing that they didn’t show in their video package is that, every time he gets knocked down, he gets back up. Cena then vows to “adjust” Rusev’s “attitude” at Fastlane, saying that Rusev is a “super athlete”, but he picked a fight with the “wrong old man” because, at Fastlane, he is going to beat Rusev. An enraged Rusev then decides to taunt John Cena, saying that Cena is a big man when he’s all the way up on the stage and, at Fastlane, he will “crush” John Cena. Cena then dares Rusev to come fight him and Rusev does not back down as Rusev exits the ring and the two men meet in the entranceway. Cena and Rusev then trade blows with Rusev resorting to attacking Cena’s injured eye to gain the advantage. Rusev then tosses Cena face-first into a piece of the stage and, before Rusev can lock in the Accolade on Cena, referees rush out to break up the fight. In a rematch from last week’s RAW, “The Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt would go one-on-one with “The Show-Off” Dolph Ziggler. In another stellar match between Bray Wyatt and Dolph Ziggler, Bray would withstand the Famouser and a super kick from Dolph before sliding out of the ring. Wyatt would then wait for Dolph to charge at him before Bray nearly turns Ziggler inside out with a vicious clothesline. Bray then brings Ziggler back into the ring, hitting Sister Abigail and pinning Dolph for the win. After the match, Bray Wyatt would drag a helpless Dolph Ziggler to the outside of the ring, pulling up the mats at ringside to expose the concrete floor. However, a second referee comes out and the two referees put the mat back in place, talking Bray out of his sinister plan. For the first time since finding out that he will either face Roman Reigns or Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania, pending the outcome of their match at Fastlane, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar would appear on RAW, with Paul Heyman by his side, to address the potential change. Paul Heyman says that it’s “readily apparent” that the world no longer relies on “credible information”, bringing up Brian Williams of NBC News, saying that people are ready to “crucify” Williams for “embellishing” some of his stories or “outright lying”. Heyman continues, saying that Brian Williams is a distant number two when it comes to being the biggest liar in the world, claiming that both Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan share the distinction of being the biggest liars. Heyman says that if either Roman or Bryan come out there and claim that they can beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, then they are “lying”. Heyman then alleges that Roman Reigns is afraid of Brock Lesnar, saying that fear is a natural reaction when you are face-to-face with Brock Lesnar. Heyman then turns his attention to Daniel Bryan, referring to Bryan as an “overachieving ultimate underdog” who is lying to himself if he thinks that he can defeat Brock Lesnar. Heyman then says that it does not matter who wins at Fastlane because an F-5 at the hands of “The Beast” is what awaits anyone who tries to take the title away from Brock Lesnar. As problems continue to arise between the painted brothers, Gold & Stardust would face The New Day’s Big E & Kofi Kingston, with Xavier Woods in their corner. Early on in the match, Stardust would inexplicably leave his spot on the apron, abandoning his brother. Goldust would shout at his brother to come back and the distraction would cost the brothers the match as Kofi Kingston rolls Goldust up for the win. Moments after being abandoned by his brother in their match against Big E & Kofi Kingston, Goldust confronts Stardust backstage. Goldust says that things are getting out of hand and this is not Goldust talking, this is Dustin talking, saying that Cody is his brother. Again reacting to Dustin using his real first name, Stardust shoves his brother down, telling Goldust that he told him to never call him “Cody” again and saying that “Cody is dead” and “Stardust lives”. After demanding an answer from Sting earlier in the night on whether or not Sting will confront him, face-to-face, in the ring at Fastlane, WWE COO Triple H would make an appearance on RAW to await the answer. Triple H says that, for twenty years, he has put his “blood, sweat, tears, and passion” into making WWE a “better place”, saying that his “life’s work” was nearly taken away by Sting. Triple H continues, saying that Sting was the face of WCW, a company that he helped “destroy” and, fourteen years later, Sting “gathers up the guts” to do something about it. Triple H then says that, for fourteen years, Sting stayed away from WWE because he knew that Triple H would “personally expose” him and, for whatever reason, Sting decides to arrive in WWE at Survivor Series to take his shot. Triple H continues, saying that Sting attacked like a “coward”, saying that he is a “man” and he is calling Sting out to confront him face-to-face at Fastlane. The COO then says that, at Fastlane, he is going to look Sting in the eyes and explain to him why Sting was “right” to stay away for fourteen years and, if Sting agrees to never show his face again, he will agree to let Sting leave Fastlane with his “dignity intact”. Triple H then says that he has been calling Sting out for two straight weeks and his patience has run out, saying that he wants an answer from Sting and he wants it now! Sting would not disappoint as, with the shriek of a crow, the lights go out in the arena before a single spotlight shines on Sting in the stands. The spotlight then goes out and shines on Sting in a different location in the crowd. The mind games then continue on the big screen as, with Triple H watching from the ring, various images of crows and scorpions are spliced in between interviews with Triple H with Sting’s face paint appearing and disappearing from Triple H’s face in the video. Sting’s face then flashes on the screen before a couple of old trees are shown, which forms the outline of Triple H’s trademark skull logo. Triple H’s name then appears on the screen before the screen goes black and, in the ring, the remaining lights go out in the arena. Then, when the lone spotlight comes back on and illuminates the COO in the ring, a faux Sting appears behind Triple H and when Triple H turns around, the surprise of coming face-to-face to who he thinks is Sting knocks Triple H off of his feet. The lights then go out again before the big screen lights up with the same trees as before, but this time, they form Sting’s face with the words “I accept” above them. The words then appear again before disappearing, followed by a crow’s caw, a flash of Sting’s face, and the screen going blank once again. Surrounded by darkness, Triple H quickly looks around for Sting, clearing shaken up by Sting’s mind games. The WWE Tag Team Champions were in action on RAW as, with Naomi in their corner, The Usos would face Cesaro & Tyson Kidd, with Natalya in their corner, in a non-title match. In the end, it was Cesaro shoving Jey Uso off of the top rope behind the referee’s back and Tyson Kidd would quickly take advantage, pinning Jey to pick up the win over the WWE Tag Team Champions. As originally revealed by his twin sons, The Usos, on Twitter, it was officially announced on RAW that the rump-shaking, fun-loving super heavyweight Rikishi will join “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2015! With his boss, The Miz, in his corner, the stunt double turned personal assistant Damien Mizdow was in action on RAW as Mizdow went one-on-one with Sin Cara, but not before setting up The Miz’s seat at ringside and handing Miz a microphone. During the match, Damien Mizdow was in complete control of the match, knocking Sin Cara to the outside. However, The Miz would have a very inconvenient thirst and, after Mizdow rolls Sin Cara back into the ring, The Miz demands that his personal assistant get him some water! With the match still going on, Mizdow quickly finds a bottle of water for his employer, handing it to The Miz before heading back towards the ring. The Miz then halts Mizdow again, asking Mizdow to open the bottle for him and Mizdow reluctantly complies. However, Mizdow’s personal assistant duties would allow Sin Cara to take advantage in the match, but when Mizdow starts to mount a comeback using some of The Miz’s signature moves, The Miz gets on the ring apron, forbidding Mizdow from using his Figure-Four Leg Lock. Staring at The Miz in disbelief, Mizdow would take his focus off of Sin Cara and the high flyer would take advantage, rolling Mizdow up for the win. With another eerie sermon, Bray Wyatt appears in his undisclosed location, saying that mankind has tried for years to answer one simple question, “Where do we go when we die?” Bray then says that men of science believe that the deceased become “one with the earth” while men of “faith” have a very different perspective. Again addressing an unknown individual, Wyatt says that “we’re special” and for them, there is “no death” and the world is their “hell”. Bray continues, saying that he does not “fear” this individual anymore, saying that it is time for him to “go home and find me”. After being told by Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett that he does not deserve a shot at the Intercontinental Title, “The Lunatic Fringe” was in action on RAW as Dean Ambrose went one-on-one with Curtis Axel. In the end, it was Dean Ambrose planting Curtis Axel with Dirty Deeds, pinning Axel for the win. After the match, Dean Ambrose says that Bad News Barrett can deny him a title match all he wants, but there’s an Intercontinental Title match that belongs to him and he will not stop until he gets it. Again appearing from the BNZ, Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett tells Dean Ambrose that, just because Ambrose wants a shot at the Intercontinental Title does not mean that Ambrose deserves it. Then it was time for the main event as, per the orders of The Authority, Fastlane opponents Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns would have to team up to face the team of “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins, J&J Security, Kane, & Big Show in a 5-on-2 Handicap Match! Before the bell even rings, The Authority utilizes the three man advantage to beat down both Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns with Kane & Big Show planting Roman with a double chokeslam, rolling Roman out of the ring before four of the five men take their spots on the apron. The referee would check on Daniel Bryan and Bryan would insist that the referee start the match, so the match officially gets underway. After several minutes of Daniel Bryan being dominated by The Authority, Roman Reigns would explode back on the scene, but the disadvantage of the match would again hinder Reigns. The plan of The Authority then became apparent as Kane & Big Show beat Roman down again before Kane holds Roman in place for the Knockout Punch from Big Show, again taking Reigns out of the match and allowing The Authority to focus on destroying Daniel Bryan. Despite the lopsided beatdown, Daniel Bryan would refuse to give up as The Authority continues to systematically destroy Bryan. Seth Rollins would then instruct Kane & Big Show to expose the announce table as J&J Security toss Daniel Bryan to the outside. Apparently having seen enough of the five-on-one assault, Ryback, Erick Rowan, & Dolph Ziggler all come out to even the odds as Seth Rollins, Kane, & Big Show meet them in the entranceway and a brawl breaks out between the six men. After hitting Dolph Ziggler with a big boot, Kane comes to the aid of Seth Rollins as the two men set their sights on Erick Rowan, but Dolph Ziggler would launch himself off the stage, taking out both Kane and Rollins. Meanwhile, the match continues in the ring as Daniel Bryan fights back against J&J Security, but just when Bryan is set to put the finishing touches on J&J Security, Roman Reigns gets on the ring apron and tags himself into the match! Roman then takes Bryan’s moment away from him as Roman hits the Spear on Joey Mercury, pinning Mercury for the win. After the match, The Authority would get their wish as Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns go face-to-face, shouting at each other and, when Bryan shoves Reigns, Roman responds with a Spear to Daniel Bryan! Roman then exits the ring, leaving Daniel Bryan down in the ring as Triple H & Stephanie McMahon watch from the back with smiles on their faces. What did you think of this week’s RAW?
