WWE RAW Results: February 2, 2015By Cassidy| February 3, 2015 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results With the promise of a major announcement that would shake WWE to its core regarding the controversial Royal Rumble Match last Sunday, RAW kicks off with The Authority as WWE COO Triple H & WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon make their way to the ring. Much to the chagrin of the crowd, Stephanie antagonizes the fans by bringing up the Super Bowl, proclaiming that, despite “controversy” at the end of the game, the Patriots still won because that’s what is “best for business”. Triple H then says that the Royal Rumble had its share of “controversy” as well with Stephanie adding that they understand that there is some “outrage” over the Rumble, vowing that they are going to do something about it. Triple H then says that there is no way that they are going to let something like this happen before showing the conclusion of the Royal Rumble Match. The footage shows Roman Reigns tipping both Kane & Big Show over the top rope to the outside, appearing to win the Royal Rumble Match before Kane & Big Show came back into the ring and assaulted Reigns. This led to a surprise appearance by The Rock, who comes to the aid of Roman and, together, The Rock and Roman take out Kane & Big Show. Then, once Rusev entered the ring, it was revealed that Rusev did not get eliminated from the Rumble, but a few moments later, Roman would toss Rusev over the top rope to the outside to officially win the 2015 Royal Rumble Match and earn his spot in the main event of WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. After viewing the footage, Triple H says that Kane & Big Show were guilty of being “unsportsmanlike” when they came back into the ring after being eliminated from the Royal Rumble Match. The COO says that he does not have a problem with what Kane & Big Show did, but what he does have a problem with is The Rock. Triple H continues, saying that The Rock has “no business” here and that The Rock is one of the biggest Superstars in WWE history and he was able to transcend being a Superstar in WWE to being a huge box office attraction in Hollywood. The COO then points out that The Rock is not currently a WWE Superstar and he had no business getting involved in the Royal Rumble Match. Triple H then admits that part of it is his fault because he lets certain stars come back to WWE just because they have a “name”, but then they think that they can control things in the company and affect the “outcome of business” while they are there, bringing up Sting as a prime example. Triple H says that he let Sting get away with it at Survivor Series, but Sting came back and got involved a couple of weeks ago on RAW. The COO then declares that it “stops” at Fast Lane, saying that is why he called Sting out to look him in the eye and stand face-to-face with him and, at Fast Lane, he will “resolve” the problems between them. Triple H then says that brings them back to the Royal Rumble Match and its winner, Roman Reigns, before Stephanie says that, if The Rock did not get involved, the outcome could have been different and someone else could have won the Royal Rumble Match. Stephanie then says that The Rock’s interference makes them “question” whether or not the outcome of the Royal Rumble Match should apply. Stephanie explains that, no matter what, Roman Reigns will go down in history of the 2015 Royal Rumble Match, but asks the question of if Roman should be allowed to challenge Brock Lesnar for the title in the main event of WrestleMania. The Authority’s address is then interrupted by the man in the middle of the controversy, the 2015 Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns, who makes his way to the ring. Upon entering the ring, Roman immediately gets in Triple H’s face, asking if The Authority is just going to take his opportunity away, answering his own question with a “hell no”. With things ready to explode between Triple H and Roman Reigns, Stephanie steps in between the two men, saying that they have not announced anything official. Stephanie says that nobody understands what it is like to be part of a “generational legacy” like her, saying that it is ironic that the very family that Roman wants to “impress” more than anything in the world is the same reason that he should probably not go on to the main event of WrestleMania. Things then take an even more intriguing turn with the arrival of Daniel Bryan, who makes his way to the ring with a smile on his face as the crowd explodes in “yes” chants. Bryan says that, if they want to talk about “controversy”, then why don’t they talk about The Authority stripping him of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and never giving him the chance to win the title back. Bryan then says that, if there’s a title shot on the line at WrestleMania, then he is officially throwing his name in that hat because he wants to make history again like he did at last year’s WrestleMania. Triple H says that there was nothing out of the ordinary, saying that Bryan “failed” to make his “contractual obligations” and they would have given him a rematch for the title as soon as he was able to compete, but as soon as he was able to compete, he entered himself into the Royal Rumble Match. Triple H comments that Bryan should have never been in the Rumble to begin with, admitting that Daniel Bryan never actually lost the title and Brock Lesnar never actually defeated Bryan to win the title, so he could see Bryan in the title match at WrestleMania. Before Triple H could elaborate, he is interrupted by The Authority’s own protégé, Seth Rollins, who makes his way to the ring with J&J Security in tow. Seth Rollins that what he is hearing is “ridiculous”, telling Daniel Bryan that Brock Lesnar would eat Bryan alive. Rollins says that Bryan got hurt and that’s nobody’s fault but his own, welcoming Bryan to the “deep end” where the “big boys play”. Rollins then confronts Roman Reigns, saying that Roman would not even be the #1 Contender if it wasn’t for The Rock. Rollins then says that if anyone deserves a one-on-one match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, it’s him. Triple H then says that they came out there with a big announcement in mind, but says that there has been a “change of plans”. The COO then announces that, tonight, Daniel Bryan will face Seth Rollins in a one-on-one match with the winner of that match advancing to Fast Lane where they will face Roman Reigns and whoever wins that match will go on to the main event of WrestleMania to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship! With a look of confusion and frustration on the face of Roman Reigns, Triple H tells Roman that Reigns has “everything to lose” at Fast Lane, but he also has an “opportunity” to shut down all the “controversy” and leave no doubt that he should be the #1 Contender. Stephanie then says that Roman has the chance to prove to his father and his entire family that he deserves to be in the main event of WrestleMania. Trying to appeal to Roman Reigns’ thirst for competition, Daniel Bryan tells Roman that, after he beats Seth Rollins tonight, he and Roman can go onto Fast Lane and “tear the house down” and prove who belongs in the main event of WrestleMania. Seth Rollins then says that, if Roman Reigns does not accept the terms laid out by The Authority, then it’s only because Roman is “afraid” of Seth Rollins. The Authority then puts Roman Reigns on the spot, asking if he is willing to put his WrestleMania title match on the line against either Daniel Bryan or Seth Rollins at Fast Lane with Stephanie adding that the “most defining moment” of Roman’s career is right now. Looking at Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns says that it’s been “one versus all” the whole time, begrudgingly agreeing to the terms placed before him. Triple H then says that the match between Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins later tonight is official with the winner facing Roman Reigns for his WrestleMania spot at Fast Lane. However, the COO tells Roman Reigns to stay where he is at because he’s got a match and it is next. After agreeing to face either Daniel Bryan or Seth Rollins with his spot in the main event of WrestleMania on the line at Fast Lane, the opening match of the night would see the winner of the 2015 Royal Rumble Match, Roman Reigns, square off with a familiar opponent in “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show with Seth Rollins and J&J Security at ringside. Seth Rollins and J&J Security would repeatedly get involved in the match and, with Joey Mercury distracting the referee, Seth Rollins would deliver a cheap shot to the back of Roman Reigns with his Money-in-the-Bank briefcase, allowing Big Show to plant Reigns with a chokeslam, pinning Roman for the win. Curtis Axel storms to the ring, saying that he was never eliminated from the Royal Rumble Match, but was unable to enter the ring due to an attack by Erick Rowan. Axel then says that, if wasn’t attacked by Rowan, then he would have won the Royal Rumble Match, demanding “justice”. The delusional third-generation competitor then stands on the second rope and points to the WrestleMania sign as he declares that he wants Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania! Dean Ambrose then makes his way to the ring, attacking Curtis Axel and throwing him over the top rope before telling Axel that, now, he’s eliminated. Ambrose then says that he’s got a “demand” of his own, saying that when he was at WWE Headquarters last week, he saw this wall with pictures of past WWE and Intercontinental Champions on it. Ambrose then says that his face would look “great” on that wall. Ambrose then reminds everyone that, two weeks ago, he pinned Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett on RAW, saying that he is coming after the Intercontinental Championship, so they should strap themselves in because they are on the road to Fast Lane. Curtis Axel then charges back into the ring, attacking Ambrose, but “The Lunatic Fringe” would get the better of the fight, planting Axel with Dirty Deeds. In a rematch from SmackDown, The Ascension would face Gold & Stardust in tag team action on RAW. In the end, it was Konnor & Viktor hitting the Fall of Man on Goldust before Viktor pins Goldust for the win. After the match, the problems would continue to mount between Gold & Stardust as Stardust blames Goldust for the loss, saying that he has got his head on straight and Goldust needs to get it together, as well, storming out of the ring, leaving a defeated Goldust in the ring. Backstage, Stardust is pacing and talking to himself and, when Goldust tries to confront his brother, Stardust just continues pacing and talking to himself. However, when Goldust refers to Stardust by “Cody”, he gets his brother’s attention as Stardust tells his older brother to never call him that again before walking off. After an assist from Sting helped John Cena get Erick Rowan, Ryback, & Dolph Ziggler their jobs back a couple of weeks ago on RAW, John Cena would appear on RAW to officially welcome the three Superstars back. Cena addresses something that WWE COO Triple H said on SmackDown when the COO referred to Cena as the “past”, saying that, in Triple H’s WWE, there is no John Cena. Cena then says that Triple H is “afraid” of firing Cena because Triple H would have to answer to television sponsors and the WWE Board of Directors. Cena then says that, no matter what The Authority puts him though, he will “never give up”. Cena continues, saying that he owes Sting a heartfelt thanks for his assistance two weeks ago because, thanks to Sting, these three men have their jobs back. This brings Ryback, Erick Rowan, & Dolph Ziggler to the ring, where they join John Cena. Cena says that Ryback, Rowan, & Ziggler is proof that The Authority can be beat and he will prove, at Fast Lane, that he can beat Rusev because he is “built to last”. Stephanie McMahon then appears on the big screen, but is quickly interrupted by Dolph Ziggler, who asks Stephanie if she gets tired of seeing them repeatedly overcome the obstacles that The Authority puts in their way. Stephanie responds by saying that everyone has been fighting Dolph Ziggler’s battles for him lately before saying that Dolph Ziggler is going to go one-on-one with Bray Wyatt tonight. Stephanie then says that, in addition, Erick Rowan will face Rusev while Ryback will be in action next and his opponent is Luke Harper. Per the orders of Stephanie McMahon, RAW would see “The Big Guy” Ryback square off with Luke Harper. At the end of the collision between the two big men, it was Ryback delivering Shell Shocked to Luke Harper and pinning Harper for the win. The WWE Tag Team Champions were on RAW as one-half of the tag champions, Jimmy Uso, with Jey Uso and Naomi in his corner, would face Cesaro, with Tyson Kidd & Natalya in his corner. In the end, it was a distraction from Tyson Kidd on the outside that would allow Cesaro to catch Jimmy Uso in mid-flight with an uppercut, pinning Jimmy to pick up the win. After the match, Tyson Kidd would spot the opportunity to cheap-shot Jey Uso, delivering a dropkick to Jey and quickly sliding out of the ring. Backstage, The Miz & Damien Mizdow are approached for an autograph by a stagehand and, assuming that the stagehand wants his autograph, The Miz denies the request. However, the stagehand says that he wants Mizdow’s autograph and the stunt double complies, but The Miz rips up the autograph. Demanding that his stunt double stop mimicking him and listen, The Miz berates Mizdow, shouting that they both know how this “story plays out”. The Miz tells Mizdow that he made him “relevant” and he gave his stunt double a “purpose in life” and, now, Mizdow is throwing it all away because of his “ego”. The Miz continues to put Mizdow down, screaming at Mizdow that he is a “talentless human prop” and that he is the “worst stunt double” Miz has ever seen before telling Mizdow that he is “fired”. The Miz then says that he believes in “philanthropy”, so he is going to give Mizdow a new job as his “personal assistant”. The Miz then orders his former stunt double to make him his protein shake. Returning to action on RAW for the first time in nearly a month, “The Show-Off” Dolph Ziggler would go one-on-one with the creepy and enigmatic Bray Wyatt. During the match, Bray Wyatt would pull Dolph Ziggler off of the middle rope, hitting a spine-rattling suplex on the arena floor, but the resilient Ziggler would manage to keep himself in the match. Despite a valiant effort by “The Show-Off”, Bray Wyatt would sustain the Famouser from Dolph Ziggler, popping right back up and catching Dolph with Sister Abigail, pinning Dolph for the win. After being attacked by The Bella Twins on SmackDown, Paige was in action on RAW as “The Diva of Tomorrow” would face Alicia Fox with The Bella Twins guests on commentary. Early on in the match, Paige would take the time to get in the face of The Bella Twins, screaming at Brie & Nikki, briefly scaring the twins before turning her attention back to the match. In the end, it was Paige catching Alicia Fox with a roll-up, picking up the win. After the match, Paige would turn her attention to her Fast Lane opponent, Nikki Bella, but Alicia Fox would attack Paige from behind. Then, in an apparent plan between The Bella Twins and Alicia Fox, Alicia would hold Paige in place while the Divas Champion sprays self-tanner on the pale Diva, embarrassing Paige. With his stunt double turned personal assistant, Damien Mizdow, in tow, The Miz was in action on RAW as the self-proclaimed “A-Lister” would go one-on-one with Sin Cara. During the match, Damien Mizdow would try to mimic The Miz, but The Miz would yell at Mizdow, ordering his former stunt double to stay still. Responding to the chants from the crowd, Mizdow would mimic Miz by getting on the top rope, but The Miz would order Mizdow off of the top rope, telling Mizdow that he doesn’t care what the fans want, again ordering Mizdow to just stand there and not make a move. Again succumbing to the angulation of the crowd, Damien Mizdow would get on the ring apron to mimic The Miz again and The Miz would again shout at Mizdow for it. However, this would give Sin Cara the opportunity to take advantage, surprising The Miz with a roll-up to pick up the win. Bray Wyatt would then appear from his undisclosed and dark location, saying that he has been called many names in the past, such as “accuser” and “destroyer”, but they can call him Bray. Wyatt then says that he has been watching for quite some time, addressing an unknown individual, telling this person that they used to “fear” him, but he let that fear turn into “love”. Bray then declares that he is the “new face of fear”, saying that the “devil is real” and he cannot wait to see him again before concluding that he knows this person is listening, daring the individual to “find” him. With the biggest match and biggest title defense of his career coming up against John Cena at Fast Lane, United States Champion Rusev, with Lana in tow, was scheduled to face Erick Rowan, but Rusev would ambush Rowan before he could enter the ring. Rusev would then send Rowan face-first into the steel ring post on the outside, rolling Rowan into the ring, repeatedly delivering knees to the face of Rowan. The United States Champion then repeatedly stomps Rowan, dragging Rowan under the bottom rope before exiting the ring and delivering a vicious kick to the head of Rowan. Rusev then drags Rowan into the middle of the ring, dropping several elbows to the back of Erick Rowan before locking the Accolade in on Rowan, refusing to relinquish the hold until Rowan was unconscious. Lana then joins Rusev in the ring, presenting a “film” that exhibits what awaits John Cena at Fast Lane. The video then shows Rusev’s domination of virtually every Superstar in WWE before Rusev holds the United States Title belt above his head and, even though the Russian flag was supposed to unfurl behind Rusev & Lana, the flag would get caught! As the fans roar their approval, Rusev would grab his own Russian flag from ringside, aggressively waving it in the ring. Backstage, Daniel Bryan confronts Roman Reigns in his locker room as Roman tells Bryan that Seth Rollins is going to get his for what he did earlier. Bryan tells Roman that he hopes that Reigns is not counting on getting his revenge at Fast Lane because Roman will be facing him, not Rollins. Reigns takes offense to this, saying that he does not care who he faces at Fast Lane because he will be in the main event of WrestleMania whether Daniel Bryan or anyone else likes it or not, telling Bryan to get out of his locker room. Then it was time for the main event as Daniel Bryan would go one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins, with J&J Security in his corner, with the winner advancing to Fast Lane to face Roman Reigns with a main event title match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania at stake. With J&J Security already getting involved in the match on multiple occasions, Big Show would also make his way to ringside during the match. Later on in the match, Daniel Bryan would send Seth Rollins to the outside, diving out of the ring and taking out Rollins and J&J Security. With both men putting it all on the line, Daniel Bryan would manage to lock in the Yes Lock on Seth Rollins, but Rollins would narrowly make it to the bottom rope. Seth Rollins then escapes to the outside where Big Show tries to help Rollins recover, but Roman Reigns would then explode on the scene, hitting a huge Spear on Big Show. Reigns then sets his sights on Seth Rollins, but when Roman charges at Rollins, Rollins moves and Roman catches Joey Mercury with a Spear! With Jamie Noble trying to enter the ring with the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase, the referee’s attention would be on Noble as Roman blasts Rollins with the Superman Punch! After dropping Jamie Noble with a kick to the head, Daniel Bryan would catch Seth Rollins with the running knee, pinning “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” for the win to earn himself a match against Roman Reigns at Fast Lane with a main event match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania on the line! After the match, Daniel Bryan addresses the crowd, telling the fans that he is going to beat Roman Reigns at Fast Lane and he is going to be in the main event of WrestleMania! Bryan then leads the crowd in a “yes” chant, celebrating a major victory that brings Daniel Bryan one step closer to being in the main event of WrestleMania. What did you think of this week’s RAW?
