WWE Spoilers: Details on Sting’s contract with WWEBy Cassidy| December 8, 2014 Wrestling News Throughout the day on November 23, rumors were swirling that the only big name wrestler in the last twenty years to never work for WWE would finally make his debut for the world’s top professional wrestling organization and, at Survivor Series, those rumors would prove true as “The Icon” himself, Sting, made his long-awaited WWE debut. Sting would play a crucial role in the main event, assisting Team Cena in defeating Team Authority, forcing The Authority (Triple H & Stephanie McMahon) out of power by dropping Triple H with the Scorpion Deathdrop and draping Dolph Ziggler over Seth Rollins, allowing Dolph to score the win. Since Survivor Series, there has been a lot of speculation as to when Sting will appear in a WWE ring again and just what his role will be. Well, PWMania.com has offered an answer as the eight-time World Champion’s current performer’s contract with WWE will see Sting make a total of six appearances for the company. With Survivor Series in the books, that means that Sting has five more appearances in his current deal with one of those appearances expected to be a match against Triple H at WrestleMania 31. One would expect that Sting’s next appearance will be at the Royal Rumble next month to further set up his WrestleMania debut against Triple H. It’s expected that Sting’s final appearance under his current deal will be on “The Grandest Stage of Them All”, but there’s always the possibility that Sting will sign a new contract in the future for another set number of appearances or perhaps some sort of Legends deal. There’s also the distinct possibility that one of Sting’s appearances will be used for his induction into the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame, if he is to be inducted next year.
