WWE SmackDown Results: December 5, 2014By Cassidy| December 6, 2014 WWE SmackDown Unintentional Chaos. Nine nights before WWE TLC, the 798th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown came to you from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, OK. With no permanent replacement for The Authority established, SmackDown would fall under the power of the comedic former Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella as the corky Santino would present a raucous night of action. Ever since Survivor Series, the world has been talking about Dolph Ziggler as “The Show-Off” more than lived up to his moniker by being the sole survivor for Team Cena and, with a big assist from Sting, was responsible for removing The Authority from power. Over the last couple of weeks, Dolph Ziggler has been on a consistent roll and, on SmackDown, Dolph would get the opportunity to regain something that was unceremoniously taken from him just before Survivor Series as Dolph Ziggler would challenge Luke Harper for the Intercontinental Championship! Before he goes to war with Bray Wyatt in a TLC Match at WWE TLC, Dean Ambrose may have finally found a way to mentally break “The Eater of Worlds” on RAW as “The Lunatic Fringe” broke Wyatt’s signature rocking chair into pieces, leaving Bray in hysterics. However, Dean Ambrose’s SmackDown opponent has not had an easy week himself as United States Champion Rusev decided to target Zeb Colter and, as a result, Rusev raised the ire of Jack Swagger and “The Real American” took it to the United States Champion on RAW. With their respective opponents no doubt keeping an eye on the proceedings, what will happen when “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose faces the undefeated United States Champion Rusev in a non-title match? Match Results Intercontinental Championship: Dolph Ziggler def. Luke Harper (c) by DQ following an intentional low blow by Luke Harper (c). As a result, Luke Harper (c) retains.
