WWE Slammy Awards RAW Results: December 8, 2014By Cassidy| December 9, 2014 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results The special Slammy Awards edition of RAW kicks off with WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, who introduces the Host of the 2014 Slammy Awards, the Emmy-Award winning actor and producer Seth Green! Green steps up to the podium, saying that he could not be more excited to be back hosting RAW and hosting the Slammy Awards. The Guest Host then says that, unlike other award shows, the fans pick the winners and, in addition to the Slammy Awards, there are several matches that he is looking forward to tonight. However, before Green could continue, he is interrupted by the WWE Tag Team Champions as The Miz & Damien Mizdow greet Seth Green. The Miz says that he is the “A-Lister” that Seth Green “needs”, but Seth Green says that the guy that he needs is Damien Mizdow, saying Mizdow is “awesome”. The Miz tells Seth Green that Mizdow is his stunt double before introducing the first Slammy category of the night, the “This Is Awesome” Moment of the Year Award. The nominees for the “This Is Awesome” Moment of the Year Award were the Occupy RAW movement, Stephanie McMahon’s arrest on RAW for slapping Brie Bella, Sting’s debut at Survivor Series, and Hulk Hogan, The Rock, & Stone Cold Steve Austin all sharing the ring at WrestleMania 30. As the fans cast their last minute votes for the “This Is Awesome” Moment of the Year Award, Dolph Ziggler was in action on RAW as, six nights before he challenges Luke Harper for the Intercontinental Championship in a Ladder Match at WWE TLC, “The Show-Off” would go one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins, with J&J Security in his corner, before Rollins faces John Cena in a Tables Match with Cena’s #1 Contender’s spot on the line this Sunday. During the match, Jamie Noble would get on the ring apron, distracting the referee while Joey Mercury shoves Dolph Ziggler off of the top rope. Seth Rollins then takes advantage, spiking Dolph Ziggler with the Curb Stomp, pinning Dolph for the win. After the match, Seth Green reveals the winner of the “This Is Awesome” Moment of the Year Award as Sting takes home the golden statue for his monumental debut at Survivor Series. However, one man who was irate over Sting’s Slammy win was Seth Rollins, who marches up to the podium, scaring Seth Green away. Rollins says that Sting cost him the biggest win of his career and that Sting is responsible for putting The Authority out of power, saying that Sting does not deserve the Slammy, so he is accepting the award on Sting’s behalf. After Gold & Stardust vowed to cast “darkness” over The New Day, The New Day’s Kofi Kingston, with Big E & Xavier Woods in his corner, would go one-on-one with Stardust, with Goldust in his corner. In the end, it was Kofi Kingston hitting a high cross body off of the top rope on Stardust, pinning Stardust for the win. After the match, former General Manager and former Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis makes a special appearance to present the nominees for Surprise Return of the Year. The nominees for Surprise Return of the Year were Hulk Hogan’s return to WWE to host WrestleMania 30, Batista’s return to WWE in January, The Rock’s surprise return to confront Rusev & Lana on RAW, and The Ultimate Warrior returns to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, appear at WrestleMania, and make what would be his final appearance on RAW. The Slammy Award for Surprise Return of the Year then rightfully goes to the late, great Ultimate Warrior. Backstage, Seth Rollins is confronted by the advocate for WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, who says that he is there for Brock Lesnar’s “clean sweep” of the Slammy Awards here tonight. Heyman then says that “if” Seth Rollins defeats John Cena in a Tables Match at WWE TLC, but Rollins cuts Heyman off, saying that “when” he beats Cena this Sunday, Cena will no longer be the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Rollins then asks if he will be the next in line for a title shot before reminding Heyman that his Money-in-the-Bank briefcase guarantees him a title shot at any time he sees fit. Rollins adds that, when he does cash in for his title shot, neither Brock Lesnar nor Paul Heyman will see it coming. Heyman responds by saying that Brock Lesnar being the WWE World Heavyweight Champion does not take away from the fact that Seth Rollins is the “future” of WWE, saying that John Cena is standing in Seth Rollins’ way. Heyman then says that, if Rollins wants to stake his claim to being the “future” of WWE, then he needs to make sure that John Cena is “firmly entrenched in the past”. RAW then features a special appearance by NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte as the daughter of Ric Flair would go one-on-one with the daughter of Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, Natalya, with Tyson Kidd in her corner, in a non-title match. In the end, Charlotte would go for the Figure-Four Leg Lock, but Natalya would counter, rolling Charlotte up for the win. After the match, Santino Marella would step up to the podium to present the nominees for OMG Shocking Moment of the Year. The nominees were Seth Rollins’ betrayal of The Shield, Nikki Bella betraying Brie Bella at SummerSlam, John Cena gets surrounded by Bray Wyatt’s haunting choir, and Brock Lesnar conquers the undefeated WrestleMania streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30. Santino then reveals that the winner is none other than Brock Lesnar for his stunning defeat of The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30. Paul Heyman accepts the award on behalf of his client, Brock Lesnar, reminding everyone that he is the “one” behind the “one” in 21-1 as The Undertaker’s streak was “conquered” by Brock Lesnar. Six nights before he faces Dean Ambrose in a TLC Match at WWE TLC, “The Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt would make an appearance on RAW. Bray says that he will never forget the first time that he saw her, proclaiming that was “her chair”. Bray then shows footage of Dean Ambrose annihilating the sacred rocking chair last week on RAW before saying that Ambrose destroyed a “piece” of him. Bray continues, saying that Ambrose took something from him that cannot be replaced, so he decided to take something from Ambrose, showing the footage from SmackDown where he drove a steel chair into the throat of Dean Ambrose. Wyatt says that he is a “monster” and he is “fear incarnate”, saying that the fans are merely “moths” drawn to his “flame”, but if they get to close, he will “burn” them. Bray then says that, this Sunday, he will emerge from WWE TLC as a “conqueror” and none of them will shed a tear because he will not let them cry for Dean Ambrose. Wyatt then proclaims that the “end is near” for Dean Ambrose before chanting “tables, ladders, and chairs”. However, Bray Wyatt’s tirade is interrupted by the sound of an ambulance’s siren as Dean Ambrose steps out of the ambulance! “The Lunatic Fringe” then tosses a table, a ladder, and a chair on the stage before ripping off his neckbrace and making his way to the ring with the ladder and a chair. Ambrose jabs the ladder into the mid-section of Wyatt before tossing several chairs into the ring and setting up a table in the ring. However, Bray Wyatt makes a quick escape from the ring, but when Dean Ambrose lays on the table holding a steel chair, Bray decides to charge the ring and Wyatt is met with a steel chair as Ambrose tosses the steel at Wyatt, knocking Bray off of the ring apron. Ambrose then tells Bray that he will be the one getting hauled out in an ambulance this Sunday night, saying that he is going to be the “monster” and he will eat Bray Wyatt alive! Slammy Awards Host Seth Green then introduces Jerry “The King” Lawler as the Hall of Famer presents the nominees for Diva of the Year as Brie Bella, Paige, AJ Lee, & Nikki Bella were all up for the prestigious award. Jerry “The King” Lawler then reveals that AJ Lee is the winner of the Diva of the Year award. AJ Lee comes out to accept the award, saying that she proved that you can be a “nerd” or a “tomboy” and still be the longest reigning Divas Champion of all-time. AJ Lee says that girls like Paige or Charlotte can be the Diva of the Year, but she is not done being the “queen” yet and, this Sunday, she will become a four-time Divas Champion. Before he collides with Big Show in the first ever Stairs Match this Sunday at WWE TLC, “Big Red” Erick Rowan would go one-on-one with his former Wyatt Family “brother” and former tag team partner, Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper, in a non-title match. During the match, the action would spill to the outside of the ring and, in what has become a habit for Luke Harper, the Intercontinental Champion gets himself disqualified after hitting Erick Rowan with a ladder. With the match over, Luke Harper would be looking to use Erick Rowan to send a message to his WWE TLC opponent, Dolph Ziggler, but Erick Rowan would end up sending the message. Rowan would drop Harper face-first onto the steel steps before tossing the stairs into the ring and charging at Harper, driving the steel into the skull of the Intercontinental Champion. Adam Rose, The Bunny, & The Rosebuds then dance out to the podium as Adam Rose would present the nominees for the LOL Moment of the Year as the nominees were Mr. T’s love for his mother, the WeeLC Match at Extreme Rules, Damien Mizdow as The Miz’s stunt double, and Vickie Guerrero tossing Stephanie McMahon into a pool of pudding. Adam Rose then reveals that Damien Mizdow is the winner of the Slammy Award for his work as The Miz’s stunt double. The Miz & Damien Mizdow then come out to accept the award, but The Miz refuses to let his stunt double talk, mistaking the “We Want Mizdow” chants for “We Want Miz Now”, saying that there is someone that he needs to thank, someone who doesn’t get the credit that they deserve. The Miz then says that he owes all his success to his “moneymaker”. With a United States Title defense against Jack Swagger coming up at WWE TLC, United States Champion Rusev would appear with Lana on RAW. Lana comments that the real LOL Moment of the Year is the “real Americans” before Jack Swagger comes out, saying that “what goes around, comes around”. Swagger then vows to break Rusev’s ankle before making a beeline for Rusev. Rusev meets Swagger at ringside and a brawl breaks out as Swagger slams Rusev’s ankle into the ringside barricade before locking in the Patriot Lock on the United States Champion. Swagger would refuse to release the hold and several referees come out to pull “The Real American” off of Rusev. Six nights before their respective matches at WWE TLC, “The Big Guy” Ryback would team with The Usos to face Kane and the WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & Damien Mizdow in a 6-Man Tag Match. In the end, it was Ryback hitting the Meat Hook Clothesline on The Miz, following it up with Shell Shocked, pinning Miz for the win. After the match, Seth Green would enter the ring to try and raise the hand of Ryback and The Usos would put the actor on their shoulders as all four men chant “feed me more”. WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat then makes a special appearance to present the nominees for Match of the Year as the nominees were the Triple Threat Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship between Randy Orton, Batista, & Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30, the Last Man Standing Match between John Cena and Bray Wyatt at Payback, The Shield vs. Evolution at Extreme Rules, and Team Cena vs. Team Authority at Survivor Series. Ricky Steamboat then announces that the Slammy Award for Match of the Year goes to Team Cena vs. Team Authority at Survivor Series. The sole survivor for Team Cena at Survivor Series, Dolph Ziggler, then comes out to accept the Slammy Award, saying that the only reason that he was in the match at Survivor Series to begin with is because the fans have stood by him throughout the years. Dolph then says that he accepts the Slammy Award on behalf of Team Cena, but it truly belongs to each and every one of the fans. The Slammy Award winner for Diva of the Year was in action on RAW as, six nights before she challenges Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship at WWE TLC, AJ Lee would go one-on-one with Summer Rae. In the end, it was AJ Lee locking in the Black Widow on Summer Rae, making Summer tap out to pick up the win. After the match, “Mr. Monday Night” himself, Rob Van Dam, returns to WWE to present the nominees for Extreme Moment of the Year. RVD then presents the nominees for Extreme Moment of the Year as Brock Lesnar’s sixteen suplexes to John Cena at SummerSlam, Kane’s Tombstone Piledriver to Daniel Bryan on the arena floor, the steel steps, and on the announce table, Chris Jericho’s dive off the top of the steel cage onto Bray Wyatt, and Seth Rollins’ Curb Stomp to Dean Ambrose through a pile of cinder blocks were all up for the award. RVD then reveals that the winner is Chris Jericho for his dive off of the top of the steel cage onto Bray Wyatt. WWE Hall of Famer and six-time World Champion Booker T then makes his way to the podium to present the most prestigious Slammy Award of the night, the coveted Superstar of the Year. Booker reveals the nominees as Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose, Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, John Cena, & Seth Rollins were all up for the award. Booker T then announces the winner as Roman Reigns takes home the Slammy Award for Superstar of the Year and, much to everyone’s surprise, Roman Reigns shows up in person to accept the award! Roman Reigns says that the Slammy is not the “brass ring”, but it is pretty close. Roman then says that it doesn’t matter who is at the top of the stairs, he is “stepping up” and they can “believe that”. Then it was time for the main event as, six nights before he puts his #1 Contender’s spot on the line in a Tables Match against Seth Rollins at WWE TLC, John Cena would go one-on-one with the man that knocked Cena out at Survivor Series, “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show. At the end of an uphill battle for John Cena, Cena would manage to hit the Attitude Adjustment on “The World’s Largest Athlete”, but before Cena could score the three-count, Seth Rollins rushes in and attacks John Cena, ending the match by disqualification. With J&J Security backing him up, Seth Rollins stomps away at John Cena before instructing his personal security to grab a table. Noble & Mercury slide a table into the ring as Seth Rollins brings a ladder into the ring and, with J&J Security holding Cena in place, Rollins would look to hit a huge Curb Stomp on Cena. However, Dolph Ziggler would make the save, knocking Rollins off of the ladder. Cena and Dolph then take out J&J Security before an angry Big Show enters the ring, knocking out both Dolph Ziggler and John Cena! Big Show’s WWE TLC opponent Erick Rowan then makes a beeline towards the ring, but he is cut off by Luke Harper, who is joined by Big Show as the two monsters send Rowan shoulder-first into the steel stairs. Big Show then lifts Erick Rowan up, planting Rowan with a chokeslam on the steel steps before Ryback marches out, sending Big Show into the steel ring post before entering the ring. Ryback would level Luke Harper with the Meat Hook Clothesline, but when Ryback looks to put the Intercontinental Champion through a table, Kane comes out with a steel chair, using the chair to take Ryback out before continuing to assault Ryback on the outside. Meanwhile, in the ring, Big Show gets his hands on Dolph Ziggler with the intent of putting Dolph through the table, but Dolph manages to fight back, taking Big Show out with a couple of big super kicks. However, Luke Harper would get a hold of “The Show-Off”, slamming Dolph Ziggler face-first through the table! John Cena then comes back into the fray, planting Luke Harper with the Attitude Adjustment before Seth Rollins spots the opportunity to spike Cena’s skull into the mat with the Curb Stomp. “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” then instructs J&J Security to bring Cena to ringside as Seth Rollins exposes the announce table before Seth Rollins and J&J Security put John Cena through the announce table with the three-man powerbomb! Seth Rollins then re-enters the ring as Seth Rollins, Kane, Big Show, & Luke Harper all stand tall as their respective adversaries lie destroyed in and around the ring.
