WWE RAW Results: December 15, 2014By Cassidy| December 16, 2014 WWE Raw Previous Page Detailed Results With WWE TLC in the record books, RAW would kick off with the guest General Manager for the night as the six-time former World Champion “Y2J” Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring to a thunderous ovation. Jericho welcomes everyone to “RAW is Jericho” before saying that he can feel the energy in the arena tonight because he is the guest General Manager. Jericho then says that it is all about the fans, thanking the fans for voting for him to win the Slammy Award for Extreme Moment of the Year last week. “Y2J” says that he could not make it to accept the award in person last week, so Fandango took it upon himself to accept the award on Jericho’s behalf. The guest GM continues, saying that he’s not going to let some “waltzing weirdo” accept his Slammy for him, ordering that “Fan-dung hole” come out there and give him his Slammy Award. However, the man that Jericho gets is far from Fandango as the advocate for WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, makes his way to the ring. Heyman claims that he is a “Jerichoholic”, saying that, if WWE were looking for a guest General Manager, then maybe they should have looked towards a man who has the best “track record” when it comes to running “exciting promotions”, saying that they should have let Heyman be in charge of RAW. Heyman continues, saying that if there was anyone who should have won a Slammy Award bearing the name “extreme” then it should have been the “father of extreme”, Paul Heyman. Jericho admits that Heyman did give Jericho his first big break in the original ECW, but says that Heyman ripped him off, saying that Heyman has owed him $200 since 1995, having some fun with the former ECW owner. Heyman says that, with Jericho’s permission, he would like to address Seth Rollins later tonight about Rollins’ failure to beat John Cena in a Tables Match at WWE TLC. However, Paul Heyman would not have to wait until later in the night to confront Seth Rollins as “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” interrupts the proceedings as Rollins, with J&J Security in tow, makes his way to the ring. Rollins then gets in Heyman’s face, asking if Heyman has something to say to him. Heyman reminds Rollins that he is not a “fighter”, he is an “advocate”, taking a step back from Seth Rollins. Rollins reminds Heyman that Heyman was at ringside for the Tables Match last night, saying that Heyman saw him put John Cena through a table and Heyman saw a referee raise Rollins’ hand in victory and Heyman saw the victory taken away from him. Rollins then says that it was the same situation at Survivor Series, saying that he would have won had it not been for Sting and, similarly, at WWE TLC, Roman Reigns got involved and directly cost him the match. “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” then makes the bold proclamation that John Cena cannot beat him on his own because he is “that good”. Rollins continues, saying that Cena is a “coward” and, if Cena is half the man that he thinks he is, then he will accept Rollins’ challenge for a rematch! Seth Rollins explains that, when he is good and ready, he wants to face John Cena one-on-one. Never one to back down from a challenge, the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Title, John Cena, marches down to the ring. Cena says that Rollins put up one hell of a fight at WWE TLC, but Rollins lost, saying that a real “man” does not whine about losing, he dusts himself off and continues to fight. The #1 Contender then turns his attention to Paul Heyman, saying that the world now knows that he is going to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble, saying that his final battle with “The Beast” is certainly going to be a “fight”. Turning his attention back to Seth Rollins, Cena says that he is looking for a fight tonight, saying that Rollins mentioned something about a rematch. Cena then says that he needs “help”, saying that he cannot make matches, so they are going to need someone who has the power to make matches happen. Cena then welcomes Jericho back to RAW and Jericho says that it “just so happens” that he is in charge of RAW and he does have the power to make matches happen, granting John Cena a rematch with Seth Rollins tonight! Not only does the guest GM grant Cena his rematch, but Jericho announces that it will take place inside of a steel cage! Satisfied with this announcement, John Cena exits the ring and heads to the back as an outraged Seth Rollins shouts at Jericho, calling Jericho the “worst GM of all-time” and accusing Jericho of being “jealous” of Rollins. Rollins continues, saying that Jericho doesn’t know what it’s like and he went through hell last night, telling Jericho that he couldn’t even beat the “janitor” and he couldn’t even beat Paul Heyman, which puts a big smile on Heyman’s face. However, that smile quickly turns to a look of confusion when Jericho comments that he thinks that he could beat Paul Heyman. Rollins says that Heyman is an “advocate”, not a “fighter”, but Jericho sticks with the idea, saying that he’s pretty confident that he could beat Paul Heyman. Eager to change the subject, Heyman tells Jericho that he knows that Jericho could beat him, but Jericho says that they are going to have some “fun” tonight, so not only is John Cena going to face Seth Rollins inside a steel cage tonight, but he is going to go one-on-one with Paul Heyman! Not only that, but the fans will get to vote on what kind of match he and Heyman will have as Jericho and Heyman will face off in either an Extreme Rules Match, a No Holds Barred Match, or a Street Fight! Jericho then says that, after tonight, Paul Heyman will “never, ever be the same again”. Jericho then exits the ring, greeting the fans as Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman argue in the ring. WWE TLC opponents would face off in tag team action on RAW as, following a brutal Ladder Match at WWE TLC, the brand new Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler would team with “Big Red” Erick Rowan to face the former Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper and “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show. During the match, things would completely break down between Dolph Ziggler and Luke Harper as Dolph would knock Harper out of the ring before tackling Harper, sending both men careening over the announce table! Meanwhile, in the ring, Big Show would level Erick Rowan with the Knockout Punch, pinning Rowan for the win. After the match, Luke Harper would be the first to get to his feet as Harper walks out alongside Big Show while Dolph Ziggler is helped to his feet. Backstage, Chris Jericho confronts Fandango, saying that, when he is done with Paul Heyman, he is going to come back there and “dance” all over Fandango’s face and take his Slammy Award back. After Nikki Bella resorted to spraying AJ Lee in the eyes with hairspray to retain the Divas Title at WWE TLC, Divas Champion Nikki Bella would team with her sister, Brie, to face Natalya & Alicia Fox, with Tyson Kidd in their corner, in tag team action. During the match, Natalya would shove Brie Bella into her sister, knocking Nikki off of the ring apron. Natalya would then lock in the Sharpshooter on Brie, making Brie tap out to pick up the win. However, instead of rushing to the ring to congratulate his wife, Tyson Kidd seemed more concerned with Nikki Bella. The guest General Manager of RAW, Chris Jericho, then makes an appearance in the ring as “Y2J” would present his signature talk show, The Highlight Reel. The six-time former World Champion would introduce his guests, United States Champion Rusev & Lana, who make their way to the ring. Lana does not endear herself to the guest GM, saying that, if Jericho has any questions that are worth their time, they will allow him to ask them. Jericho asks why Lana is so angry all the time, asking if the bun in Lana’s hair is pulled too tight. Jericho then poses the same question to Rusev, saying that Rusev needs to relieve some of that stress and show Lana his “sputnik”. Lana tells Jericho to “shut up” and Jericho asks if Rusev & Lana are more than just “Putin’s butt puppets”. Jericho continues, saying that Rusev looks like an “unwashed cab driver”, calling Rusev & Lana the “U.S. Champ and the communist tramp”, telling Rusev & Lana to let their “freak flag fly”. Lana again tells Jericho to “shut up”, which leads to Jericho mocking Lana until Rusev takes the microphone, saying that Jericho “talks too much” and, maybe, he should just “crush” Jericho right now. Jericho says that it seems like every time that he comes out there, there is someone who wants to fight him, but Rusev has a similar problem. The guest GM then reveals that there is someone who wants to fight Rusev right now. This brings out “The Big Guy” Ryback, who marches to the ring, wasting no time in getting in Rusev’s face. However, at the behest of Lana, Rusev decides to back off, exiting the ring and holding up his United States Title belt as Ryback does not his eyes off of Rusev. In a rematch from the WWE TLC Kickoff, The New Day’s Big E & Xavier Woods, with Kofi Kingston a guest on commentary, would face Gold & Stardust on RAW. In the end, it was Big E & Xavier Woods hitting the Midnight Hour on Goldust as Xavier Woods pins Goldust for the win. Following a loss to Ryback in a Chairs Match at WWE TLC, Kane would be looking to take out his anger on Adam Rose as the former Director of Operations would face the leader of The Exotic Express on RAW. Kane would dominate the match, but when Kane goes for the chokeslam on Adam Rose, The Bunny would jump off of the top rope. However, The Bunny would jump right into the grasp of Kane as Kane delivers a double chokeslam to Adam Rose & The Bunny before pinning Rose for the win. However, Kane’s hatred for mascots would drive Kane to put The Bunny down with the Tombstone Piledriver! In a match made earlier in the night by the man himself, the guest General Manager of RAW, Chris Jericho, would actually go one-on-one with the non-wrestling advocate of WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman. Before the match begins, Paul Heyman says that he does not find this to be “entertaining” and the beating that Jericho is about to give him is “anything but PG”. Trying to get out of the match, Heyman says that he is not looking for a piece of Jericho’s action and he doesn’t know why Jericho wants to fight him over $200 from twenty years ago. Heyman then offers to give Jericho the $200 and Jericho gives him a “pass” before Heyman pulls out his checkbook! However, Jericho knocks the checkbook out of Heyman’s hands, saying that he doesn’t want the $200, he wants to know which match the fans voted for. Jericho then gets his answer as, with 43% of the votes, Jericho and Heyman would face off in a Street Fight! Visibly on the verge of a panic attack, Paul Heyman says that he does not understand why Jericho thinks it is fair to go to a vote from the fans and he does not understand why Jericho would want to get into a fight with Brock Lesnar! Paul Heyman’s expression then changes from panic to glee as, for the first time since September, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion makes his way to the ring! Like a shark smelling blood in the water, Brock Lesnar methodically walks around the ringside area before entering the ring and getting right in Jericho’s face. Not one to back down from a challenge, “Y2J” strikes first, attempting to best the champion, but when Jericho goes for the Codebreaker, Lesnar slams Jericho down. “The Beast” then picks Jericho up before sending him crashing down to the mat with the F-5! Paul Heyman then raises the hand of his client before the WWE World Heavyweight Champion marches to the back, sending a clear statement to his Royal Rumble opponent, John Cena. Still in possession of Chris Jericho’s Slammy Award, Fandango, with Rosa Mendes in tow, would appear on RAW with the award in hand. Fandango says that it looks like “RAW was Jericho”. However, that is all that the dancing Superstar would get to say before he is interrupted by the arrival of the 2014 Superstar of the Year Roman Reigns, who makes his way to the ring through the crowd. When Roman gets confronted by Fandango, Roman would slap Fandango across the face before backing up and dropping Fandango with the Spear! Reigns then picks up a microphone, but before he can speak, he is interrupted by the man he put through a table at WWE TLC, Big Show. Roman warns Big Show that, if Big Show comes to the ring, he is going to punch him in the mouth. However, Big Show continues to make his way towards the ring, calling Roman “pretty boy” and saying that Roman put his hands on him last night, so he is going to put Reigns back on the “injured reserve list”, but as soon as Big Show gets on the ring apron, Reigns makes good on his promise as Roman blasts Big Show with the Superman Punch, knocking Big Show off the ring apron! Big Show would not go down and “The World’s Largest Athlete” would disassemble the steel steps at ringside before the angry giant decides to save the fight for another day, retreating to the back. After resorting to getting himself disqualified in order for himself and Damien Mizdow to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles against The Usos at WWE TLC, one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Miz, with Damien Mizdow in his corner, would go one-on-one with Jimmy Uso, with Jey Uso in his corner, on RAW. During the match, Jimmy Uso would plant The Miz with a Samoan Drop and, doing his duty as The Miz’s stunt double, Damien Mizdow would enter the ring to mimic taking the move. However, this would cause the referee to try and get Mizdow out of the ring and Jey Uso would take advantage, getting a measure of revenge from WWE TLC by hitting The Miz in the mid-section with a Slammy Award. This allows Jimmy Uso to blast Miz with a super kick, following it up with the Superfly Splash, pinning Miz to pick up the win. Moments after his loss to Jimmy Uso, The Miz would confront Jimmy’s wife, Naomi, backstage, telling Naomi that he is a man of his word and he is trying his hardest to get Naomi her music deal. The Miz then says that he knows that Naomi wants to be the Divas Champion, so he is going to invite her to be a guest on Miz TV on tomorrow night’s WWE Main Event. The Miz says that Miz TV will be a big break for Naomi as she will be featured in front of a global audience on his hit talk show segment, saying that “no one” has ever done something like that for her before. The Miz then says that Naomi “deserves” to be Divas Champion and he knows that there is no way that her husband can have a problem with that. However, Miz then suggests that Naomi might want to think about not telling her husband about her appearing on Miz TV. Then it was time for the main event as, just one night after they went to war in a Tables Match at WWE TLC, the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, John Cena, would go one-on-one with “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” Seth Rollins, with J&J Security in his corner, in a Steel Cage Match, where the only way to win is by pinfall, submission, or escaping the cage, either over the top or through the door! During the match, J&J Security would repeatedly aid Seth Rollins, but Cena would eventually take out the security team, first knocking Joey Mercury off the side of the cage before using the cage door to propel Jamie Noble into the ringside barricade. Late in the match, Seth Rollins would take John Cena down with a knee off of the top rope before taking the time to scream at Cena, managing to twice send Cena into the steel before Cena responds by sending Rollins into the cage wall. With Rollins down, Cena would make the slow climb towards the cage door, but just when it looked like Cena would step out of the cage and win the match, Joey Mercury would slam the cage door into Cena, knocking Cena back into the ring. Shortly after this, John Cena would lock in the STF on Seth Rollins, but Rollins would manage to crawl under the bottom rope, forcing Cena to release the hold. Just as Rollins was about to fall out of the doorway and onto the floor, Cena would grab Rollins by the feet. J&J Security would then grab Rollins by the arms, leading to a tug of war between the two sides. Naturally, Cena would win the battle, pulling Rollins back into the ring, but Jamie Noble discreetly tosses the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase into the ring just before the referee closes the cage door. After a first attempt to use the briefcase fails, Seth Rollins would fight out of the Attitude Adjustment before blasting Cena in the face with the briefcase, but Cena would kick out of the attempted pin. With Cena between him and the door, Rollins would try to climb out of the cage over the top, but Cena would catch Rollins at the last second, preventing Rollins from dropping to the floor. Cena would then drag Rollins back into the cage before delivering the Attitude Adjustment to “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank” off of the top rope! With both John Cena and Seth Rollins out of it in the ring, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar would make his way to the ring with Paul Heyman in tow. With destruction no doubt on his mind, Lesnar would walk into the cage where the two top contenders for his championship are struggling to pull themselves to their feet. The champion would first target the challenger for his title at the Royal Rumble, John Cena, delivering a trio of German suplexes to the helpless Cena. “The Beast” would then pick up a motionless John Cena, delivering the F-5 to the #1 Contender. Having just witnessed Brock Lesnar destroy John Cena, a fearful Seth Rollins quickly gets to his feet, expecting a similar fate. However, instead of Brock tearing Rollins apart, Paul Heyman would enter the ring and offer his hand to Seth Rollins! After a moment of uncertainty, a smile would come across the face of Seth Rollins before Rollins gladly shakes the hand of Paul Heyman. Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman then exit the ring as Seth Rollins sizes John Cena up in the ring, drilling Cena with the Curb Stomp! With John Cena completely out of it, Seth Rollins slowly saunters out of the cage, planting both feet on the floor to win a vicious Steel Cage Match under the most dubious of circumstances.
